About: With 10+ years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, I specialise in personalised care for dogs of all ages and temperaments, from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing extra attention. Dogs have been an integral part of my life since and meeting new dogs brings me great joy in bonding and looking after them. Spending quality time is very important to me. Any dog I look after becomes part of my daily life with walks, trips out and even walks to the pub for a Sunday lunch.
I love nature and going for long walks. I make sure that every dog receives a balance of exercise, mental stimulation, and rest, while prioritising their safety and comfort. My approach is always reward-based and force-free, creating a stress-free, positive experience for you and your pet. Whatever your pet needs, I will endeavour to meet those needs and I understand every pet has their own personality, just like us humans! I have my own loving 2 year old spaniels, so if they come and spend time at my house they will have an instant buddy. I always like to meet your pet before taking on any bookings so we can both feel at ease that our time together will be a good fit. I’m available for dog sitting, walking, and overnights during the early mornings (before 7 a.m.) and evenings on weekdays (after 5 p.m.) and all day on weekends. I also offer overnight stays any night of the week, so your pet will have company and care even while you’re away. If you need someone for evenings or weekend care, I’m flexible and ready to help! I live in a house, with a fenced garden. In my house, there are lots of places for your dog to take lots of naps. I have a crate at home if that is your dog-safe place. Your pet's safety and well-being are my top priorities. I take great care to ensure a secure, comfortable environment, whether we’re out for a walk or relaxing at home. I’ll always keep a close eye on your pet and carefully follow any specific instructions you provide. I believe in building trust with you and your dog, so you can feel confident that they are in good hands. I’m committed to open communication and will keep you updated with regular check-ins and photos, so you know your furry friend is safe and happy.

Elaine was an absolute lifesaver with my senior dog, Jess, who hasn’t been feeling her best. I needed someone I could trust to check in on her while I was out or busy, and Elaine understood her needs straight away. She went above and beyond to make sure Jess was comfortable, and Jess clearly enjoyed her company. You can tell Elaine adores animals and always does her utmost to ensure they’re in safe, caring hands. Thank you again!

About: I am very confident around dogs and other animals of most sizes. Although I don’t have a dog of my own, I grew up with dogs in my family home (Irish Wolfhounds), and have regularly been around friends’ dogs and pets. On an ad-hoc basis I am relied upon for drop-in visits for a friend’s dog while they are out for the day. I also occasionally look after my mum’s dog, which either requires me to stay overnight at her house (in Somerset), or Otto comes and stays with me. Care includes, feeding, administering medication, and walks. I am able to provide this service to new and existing clients, I’ll just need access, and any care instructions provided ahead of time. I am happy to provide short walks within the local area, and drop-in visits for toilet breaks and feeding. I have recently been made redundant from my at-home marketing role, and will be starting university in the autumn. I am a mum of two young boys so I am well used to chaos. I love the outdoors and being outside. I have recently been made redundant from my remote marketing position. I am a mum of two young boys, so during term-time I am committed to the school run in the morning and afternoon. Around this I am pretty flexible. During the holidays I will still be flexible but do note that short notice bookings might be declined based on childcare cover, if I can’t bring them with me. In the autumn I am due to start university and I will update my availability in late September. For drop-in visits, I will access your home using the key left for me unless other instructions are provided. I will let your dog out for a toilet break, check they are okay, and refill water bowls as necessary. I am happy to stay a little bit longer to make a fuss of your dog before I leave. I am happy also to leave your dog with food if required. For walking, I can collect your dog and walk locally. Until I build trust with your dog, I will insist on walking your dog on a lead. I will drop your dog back home afterwards, and if you are not home, I will check their water bowl before I leave.

About: I’ve got plenty experience with dogs. I’ve grown up around cats, I’ve had plenty cats. I’ve been around dogs for a while now.. I’ve dogsitted, bathed and walked dogs. I have experience with BorrowMyDoggy app, I’ve volunteered on the app for quite a while now, I’ve met quite a few dogs that I’ve walked and kept company. I’m currently working part time as a cleaner but not getting enough hours… I’m free almost all the time so I’m very reliable whenever needed. Depending on what owners need. I’m able to walk dogs, and look after dogs in owners home! I’m not fussed with this, whatever’s needed I’m happy! I just can’t take dogs/ cats into my home at this moment in time. :)

About: Three years ago, while studying at university in South Africa, I was a dog sitter for the Canine Club. Now, in the UK, I work in marketing during the week, but on weekends, I still love to dive back into dog walking and pet care whenever I can! I work full-time as a local marketing manager at the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts—three days in-office, two days from home. Weekends, though, are completely free for all your pet-sitting needs! 💕 I’d ensure they’re safe by providing all the love, care, and attention I’d give my own pets, while carefully following any instructions or briefs the owner provides. Your home and your pet would be in trusted, attentive hands!

About: I have reared puppies and looked after pets all my life. Animals are my passion and bring me much joy. I have vast experience looking after other people’s pets having worked in my friend’s dog sitting franchise for many years. I've also done countless dog/cat sits with another site and have glowing testimonials which I am happy to share. Now that I'm semi retired and can work from home I can spend even more time caring for your pets. I'm extremely fit and love nothing more than going for long dog walks in parks and the countryside. I'm happy to dog sit in your house or can have small dogs at my place. I live in a maisonette with a huge park 3 seconds from my front door. I've had 2 dogs while living here and pride myself on making sure they were always kept stimulated and had at least 2 walks per day. I'm a very responsible, dependable and trustworthy person who you can rely on to look after your pets and home. I am semi retired and work for myself via my laptop. My hours are totally flexible allowing me plenty of time for pet care. I am happy to look after pets in your own home while your away or have them in my own home. I am very much a home body so your pets won’t be left alone for long periods of time. I live opposite a very large park and am also close to some beautiful countryside. Walking is one of my hobbies so your dogs will get plenty of exercise to keep them stimulated. I am in the process of doing a dog behavioural course to better understand how our furry babies operate. I’m used to looking after all sorts of dogs and cats - both large and small.

About: As the owner of five cats myself, I truly understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. Caring for cats isn’t just something I do — it’s part of my everyday life. I’m experienced with many different personalities, from shy and nervous cats to confident cuddle-lovers, and I understand the importance of keeping cats happy and relaxed in their own home environment. I have hands-on experience with shy cats, senior cats, indoor cats, multi-cat households, and cats that need extra patience and reassurance. I’m also happy to provide kitten check-ins for peace of mind, making sure younger cats are safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: I am a dedicated animal lover who understands the responsibility and true meaning of care with owning a pet!
Growing up I had three dogs, multiple cats- one of which I still have now, guinea pigs, snakes, fish and a budgie called Bruce.
My passion for animals led me to successfully achieve an animal management level 3 diploma in 2019. After working in retail for a few years, I soon found my feet 6 years ago at a local doggy daycare and boarding! I am now the general manager there and I absolutely love every aspect of it!
I have great knowledge targeting dog and cat behaviours, needs and body languages. I'm used to feeding, administering medication, basic grooming such as teeth cleans, baths, brushing and nails. I am also trained in basic obedience training. I am very confident and widely experienced in dog walking- including up to 4 dogs at once.
Alongside my career I have also house/ pet sit friends and family cats and dogs over the years and have found great joy in not only helping but providing a high level of care and love towards their fur babies. I work full time as a manager at a dog daycare/ boarding. I do 9-5 Mon- Fri and more than happy to house/ pet sit during the week and weekend but I am unable to check in during the day. I am used to following any instructions you give. Even happy to help train dogs, walk them, create enrichment activities for them. I ensure fresh water is down 24/7 and that they are fed- even if food needs defrosting. I’m happy to clean litter trays if needed, administer medication, put bins out, poo pick, tidy up after myself after I leave, anything you needed done. Working the job I do I am hot on safety- closing doors, door barging, choking, overheating etc

About: As a child our family always had a dog and I always enjoyed walking them as well as asking neighbours if I could walk their. When I started my own family it was incomplete without a dog, so I got a labrador who lived until 17. After the death of my dog Bruce, I couldn't bring myself to buy another dog of my own so I started dog sitting for friends and family. Now in a full circle my girls both have dogs that I regularly look after and walk (poodle and dachshund) I enjoy the exercise and the company and very aware of our surroundings. I am not currently working semi retired and would fit my life in around the pet care. I am lucky enough to live in Eton wick and I'm close to miles of fields and the river all within 1 minute walk . To the left windsor and the left maidenhead all along the river . Ideal for man and dog . I have a shared garden but fenced in but open at the front so not ideal for the dog to to be off the lead unless I can trust the dog. I usually walk the dog across the fields and river opposite.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 14. Neighbours, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and play their pets and give them the comfort and attention they need. I’m currently a full time student at Kingston School of Art. Whilst it’s full time, I still have 4 days off a week including weekends to take care of your pet and am free in the evenings nearly everyday. I have easy access to public transport so will be flexible on where house sitting for a pet is needed. I will give them the comfort and attention they need when house sitting.

About: I have no children but I do have a kitten. I helped bring up my sister’s puppy-turned-dog during Covid, I regularly look after my sister’s dog for days and hours. I take her for walks, feed her, play with her and drop her off. I also sometimes look after my best friend’s cat when she is at work or on holiday. I am flexible with weekends, and week days I work hybrid so I am home most of the week - aside from Tuesday and Thursday, which are my office days. ☺️ I keep door closed and always use lead when outside. The area is usually gated outside, and I have space for a crate if needed. I have a few green areas next to me. I live basically in town, with non-main road access in too for particularly vulnerable puppies.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
