“Tatiana looked after our cat brilliantly, I'd recommend her services 100%. After each visit, when she came to feed him, change litter box, and interact with Hunter, she sent us photos showing how well looked after our pet was, which was very reassuring and made our holiday stress free. Thank you Tatiana, we'll be in touch. We'd love to use your service again and again. Hunter was really chilled and relaxed when we were away :)”

“She was amazing at taking care of my cat while I was away on holiday. Sent me photos and little updates on how my cat was doing which helped tons in knowing she was well cared for. My cat fell in love with her and will definitely come back when I go on holiday again.”

About: Hello there~ I’m Sammi, your friendly and caring neighbour who loves cats <3 I know how important it is to have someone kind, patient, and reliable looking after your furry friend. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, cuddles, or just keeping them company, I’ll be there to make sure they feel safe, accompanied, and loved while you're away. Every cat has their own personality, and I’ll take the time to understand their needs and preferences. Looking forward to meeting you and your cat friend!
“Chloe was amazing, and got on so well with Rupert from the reports and photos got! Will absolutely book again when needed for the peace of mind cat is being taken care of.”

About: I love a dogs playful and kind nature. I’ve been around dogs all my life and strangers dogs always come up to me which must be a good sign! I adore cats, why I could have my own but my landlord doesn’t allow it! I work full time so I’m only available weekends for dog walks. I could do some week day evenings but I would need notice for this. I know safety around animals, I’ll always keep them on the lead unless you’ve told me otherwise and I’d keep them away from aggressive dogs etc
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 18 years, including my own dogs, family pets, and my landlord’s dog here in the UK. Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I work remotely as a website designer, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to focus on pet care throughout the week, including weekends and longer stays when needed. I enjoy being outdoors and go on daily walks, so having a dog with me fits perfectly into my lifestyle. I offer solo dog walks so each dog receives my full attention, care, and companionship. I always aim to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed while following their usual routines and any instructions provided. My remote work allows me to be flexible and available throughout the week for walks, drop in visits, and pet sitting, including weekends and longer stays when needed. I always follow each pet’s normal routine and any instructions from the owner. My priority is to keep pets safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their familiar environment.

About: I am a lifelong dog lover with over 10 years of personal experience raising and caring for my own dogs—a loyal Mixed Breed and an energetic Husky. I proudly cared for them through every stage of their lives until they reached the senior ages of 13 and 14. Having raised a Husky, I am well-accustomed to handling high-energy breeds that require firm guidance and plenty of exercise. Conversely, my experience with my senior dogs has given me the patience and gentleness needed for older pets who may require a slower pace or extra attention. I understand that your dog is a family member. I am committed to providing a safe, fun, and reliable walking experience tailored to your dog’s unique personality and energy levels. Whether it's a vigorous hike or a gentle stroll, your furry friend will be in safe hands. As a full-time Designer, I find spending time with dogs to be the perfect way to de-stress after a creative day. My schedule is very consistent: I am available for walks every morning before 9 AM and every evening after 5 PM. On weekends, I have much more flexibility and can offer longer walks or more frequent visits. Because I see dog walking as a joy rather than just work, your pet will receive my full attention and enthusiasm during our time together. Safety is my top priority. Drawing from my 10+ years of experience with my own Husky and Mixed Breed, I am highly vigilant about surroundings and leash safety. I understand how to handle large, energetic dogs as well as the gentle needs of seniors. I will strictly follow your instructions regarding on-lead or off-lead walking and any specific dietary or behavioral requirements. I promise to treat your dog with the same love, patience, and responsibility as I did with my own beloved pets for over a decade.
“Lucy was wonderful popping in to Martha today. I was kept up to date with everything and sent photos too. It was such a relief to know that Martha was is great, capable hands today, and I came home to a happy dog who clearly enjoyed herself too. Thank you Lucy!”

“Aimee was fabulous! She was a delight to deal with in making arrangements and understood exactly what I needed her to do. she came when she said she would. She topped up Lucy’s water bowl and took her for a walk. She left everything as it should be and I definitely book her again. Thank you Aimee!”

“Thank you Shubham for taking care of Bluey and Pixie and informing us on a daily basis of their wellbeing with photos and videos. I recommend Shubham if you need someone to take care of your cats!”

About: I've had dogs my entire life and have been around animals since childhood. Caring for pets has always been a natural part of my daily life, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. Over the years, I've looked after dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities for family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. Whether it's feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I understand that every dog has unique needs and routines, and I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I have experience with energetic puppies, senior dogs, and dogs that need a little extra patience and attention. My goal is to give pet owners peace of mind knowing their furry family members are in caring and dependable hands. I work a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Whether it's walks, feeding, playtime, or just keeping them company, I make sure they get the care and attention they need. I'm available most weekdays and weekends, and I'm happy to work with your pet's usual routine to help them feel comfortable and settled. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I have had dogs all my life and understand how important it is to leave them with someone you trust. I have a secure fenced garden within the building where dogs can safely play and explore. I follow any feeding schedules, medication instructions, and routines provided by owners so your dog feels as comfortable as possible while you're away. If your dog is crate trained, I can accommodate that as well.
About: I treat every pet like family—with love, patience, and lots of attention! Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, or just some quiet cuddles, I tailor my care to your pet’s personality and needs. Your peace of mind and your pet’s happiness are my top priorities! I have also completed a certificate in Canine First Aid Level 2 (VTQ). My husband and I absolutely love dogs and treat every pet like family — with love, patience, and plenty of attention! Ramya, my close friend who lives nearby and shares this profile with me, also adores animals and has a lovely dog named Loki — a playful Beagle and Poodle mix. We all work from home most of the time, so your furry friend will always have company, care, and cuddles throughout the day. Whether it’s long walks, fun playtime, or quiet cuddle moments, we make sure every pet feels happy, safe, and loved. We have a big garden that your pets can use to play. And we don't have issues having them on our beds or furniture. We have a 5 year old who also loves pets very much. I also provide photo updates and regular check-ins, so you’re always in the loop.
About: Dogs have always been a large part of my world and I do love them very much. My family are from the obedience show dog world, my mother is a dog trainer, behaviourist and breeder. She has competed for Wales at Crufts in obedience, and my Aunt once won Crufts obedience once outright (Bev Hughes, Woughstock Wisdom, or Jasper for short). We had a rotating cast of 7 border collies mixed with various pet dogs, well over 25 dogs over the years, five of them my own. Our pack has included poodles, sausage dogs, a Labrador cross, a Yorky, probably about 15 Border Collies + cross breds, GSD’s, Staffies, various others and finally the only current resident, a little male Jackawowa. We believe in the highest standards of care for all dogs, this means plenty of walks, plenty of play, and plenty of cuddles. I now offer professional dog walking and pet care services to the current generation of our four legged friends, this is my main work, so I’m not spending all day on Zoom calls ignoring your dog! and your dog will get lots of exercise on our regular walks unless they don’t want that. They will be looked after in our home, allowed on the sofa and treated as part of the family. So if you would like your dog to join our small pack for expert care on a temporary or permanent basis, get in touch. Please note: • While I’m happy to consider most dogs, I do not board, day care or group walk aggressive dogs. However, I can offer 1 to 1 walks for some smaller breeds and help with desensitisation. • I’m happy to refer you for larger dogs—there’s always a way forward, don’t give up! • I only board small females that are neutered or not more than four months past their last season, as my own dog is an intact male. If you’re unsure about suitability or have any concerns, feel free to reach out—I’m always happy to discuss your dog’s needs. (You can message or call through the rover phone App by clicking my profile/tap teh 3 dots at the top/Call Catherine.) Waggy tails! Cathy I like to give my own dogs two walks a day morning and afternoon/evening, and various games and breaks in between, I'll do the same for your dog, (unless your dog is elderly or it's too hot, or by other arrangement). Plus cuddles. For those dogs that like cuddles, lots of cuddles. Dogs are looked after in the same way as my own dog is, kept inside our house when not walking, and we have a secure enclosed garden. They are allowed on the furniture.
“Ryan was great, super friendly and my cat took to him immediately. Really attentive during the drop-in visit, played with her, sorted food, water and litter tray. Would absolutely recommend (and if my cat could type, I bet she would too!)”

About: I've grown up with dogs and cats my whole life - including working cocker and springer spaniels - which has meant I've been relied on by neighbours, friends, friends of friends and colleagues to look after their four-pawed family members; whether that be popping in for cuddles, walks and wee breaks, to dog sitting for mutliple weeks at the time whilst the owners are out of the country. I also volunteer for Cinnamon Trust, a charity helping elderly people look after their pets, so I have had ample experience in caring for lots of breeds and needs! I work from home almost every day and have a very flexible team so I'm always to hand for the pets that I'm looking after. I also have a van so plenty of space to give owners and animals comfort and ease-around-logistics for any pet-pickups, or even walks further afield. I have a house with a gated front garden to create a barrier between the front door and the quiet road, as well as a fenced garden. I aim to replicate any rules that the pets have in their own homes in mine, meaning if they're allowed upstairs or on the sofa at yours they can at mine! Each part of the open-plan can be separated off as needed to create quieter spaces, or solo spaces for eating etc. Living near multiple parks and a river means that there are ample walks or even just longer wee breaks available to us without having to drive anywhere.

About: I've spent over 20 years as a Physio and Rehabilitation practitioner for dogs in Australia. I've worked with thousands of dogs of all ages and breeds. I have two dogs of my own. A Swiss Shepherd called Shen Bear and a Leonberger called Kiana. I specialise in older dog care and am happy to share my experience to take the best posisble care of your dog. I'm now back in the UK with my Swiss Shepherd called Shen Bear and our young Leonberger called Kiana. I'm reliable, honest and here to help your dog. I work from home most days with a flexible schedule, leaving me time to fit in visits, walking and minding. I'm available early mornings and evenings if needed. If minding a dog at home. I have a secure large back yard and two friendly dogs to keep your dog company. They have plenty of room to play and relax. I also have a seperate space if they need time out.

Delci was quick to reply to messages, arrived on time, sent photos during the visit and followed all of our instructions perfectly. She was really patient with our nervous rescue and managed our other, much more lively, dog very well. Both dogs were clearly comfortable and very well cared for - we wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

Aimee was fabulous! She was a delight to deal with in making arrangements and understood exactly what I needed her to do. she came when she said she would. She topped up Lucy’s water bowl and took her for a walk. She left everything as it should be and I definitely book her again. Thank you Aimee!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
