“Maple really enjoyed her stay and was so happy when I dropped her off and picked her up. I received lovely updates to let me know how she was settling in and what she was getting up to. I felt really confident that Claire would take great care of maple.”

“I can't recommend Ann and Tor more as Alfie our dog always has the best time with their family. He always comes back having eaten well and slept and gets on very well with their dog Sid and is getting braver I think with the cat George. We know he enjoys it as whenever we walk past the house on our daily walks he always pulls in the direction of the house”

“Natalie took care of Teddy over the weekend and did an amazing job. She is warm, professional, and clearly experienced with dogs. Teddy was happy, relaxed, and well cared for throughout his stay. Communication was excellent, and I felt completely reassured knowing he was in such good hands. I highly recommend Natalie and would definitely book with her again.”

“Laura was fab when Walter stayed with her for 2 nights. We met up before and Laura took time to learn about his personality and quirks. Walter settled straight away, was well cared for and we had regular contact. Laura’s home is lovely. All the stars!”

“This is the second time that Emily has had Harvey, but this time for 8 days! Emily was great with him! We were really worried that Harvey was going to be anxious as he is a rescue dog that we only adopted in December 2025, but Emily was so good with him and put him at ease straight away. She sent us daily updates while we were away to put our minds at ease too! We would definitely recommend Emily to anyone looking for a sitter :)”

About: I’ve been a dog owner for the past 12 years and caring for dogs has always been a big part of my life. My partner and I will be looking after the dogs together, so your pet will always have plenty of attention, care and supervision. We both genuinely love spending time with animals and understand how important it is for dogs to feel safe, comfortable and happy while their owners are away. We also have our own dog, a friendly French Bulldog, so dogs are very much part of our daily life. We’re experienced with daily walks, feeding routines, playtime and making sure each dog’s individual needs are met. We’re patient, attentive and treat every dog as if they were our own. I’m happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand so you and your dog feel completely comfortable. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in safe hands. I work from home, so I’m around most of the day to give dogs plenty of attention, care and company. My partner also works from home on and off as he works in the film industry, so there are often two of us around. We usually start our day with a morning walk and love taking dogs out to the nearby woods or the dog-friendly park just across the road. After the walk, dogs can relax at home, play or enjoy some quiet time. Throughout the day there will be plenty of attention, playtime and bathroom breaks. In the afternoon or evening we usually head out for another walk so dogs get lots of exercise and stimulation. Dogs staying with us will be treated like part of the family and always supervised. We live in a flat with private access to our small garden just outside, and we’re very lucky to have a dog-friendly park and beautiful woods right across the road, which is where we often take our walks. We also have our own friendly French Bulldog who is used to being around other dogs. Our home is calm, safe and dog-friendly, and we always make sure dogs feel comfortable and well cared for. We follow each dog’s routine closely and give them plenty of attention, exercise and affection while they stay with us. We also only take a small number of dogs at a time so each dog receives plenty of care, attention and supervision.

“Stuart was a wonderful sitter for our dog Shania, very friendly and accommodating when we asked to extend the booking past the original pick up time. You can be sure your dog will be well cared for and he clearly loves dogs 🐕 ❤️”

“Amanda, Trevor, and their family took exceptional care of our two dogs. They were communicative, kind, and very attentive to our pups throughout the two-week stay. Our large dogs each have their quirks, and it's clear that Amanda and Trevor are both very knowledgeable and compassionate in the way they cared for them. Any pup would be lucky to stay with them!”

About: I’m a huge animal lover and a very reliable, caring sitter who will treat your pet like my own. I’ve grown up around animals and regularly look after pets for friends, family and neighbours, including feeding, walking, playing and giving them plenty of attention while their owners are away. I’m especially patient with more nervous pets and always take the time to make sure they feel comfortable and safe. I’m also happy to follow specific routines, whether that’s feeding schedules, administering basic medication, or keeping up with training. My partner (Sam) and I have a cat, and frequent look after family members animals. So I’m very used to different personalities and behaviours, and I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands. If typically WFH Mondays and Fridays, but I have to be in London every Wednesday so if you want my services, my partner Sam (also in my profile pic) is around to help too. He also has a lifetime worth of experience with both dogs and cats having grown up with both. I currently work from home and able to spend a lot of time with animals and can give them loads of care and attention. I’m flexible and happy to work around your pet’s usual routine where possible. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I plan my schedule to make sure I can give each pet the time, attention and consistency they need, whether that’s walks, feeding, playtime or just keeping them company. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are my top priority. I take the time to understand their routine, personality and any specific needs so they feel comfortable and secure in my care. I’m very respectful of your home and always keep things clean, calm and safe. I’ll keep doors secure, avoid any risks on walks, and follow your instructions carefully. On my side, I have a fenced garden, plenty of rooms and comfortable spaces. Quiet neighbour's and a peaceful household, ideal for any pet in my care.

“Gordon had a lovely time staying with Meg and family! They greeted him with a very warm welcome and let him explore to get comfortable, and he came home very well rested and cared for! Thank you Meg for taking care of him in the heatwave, asking lots of questions and sharing pictures and updates throughout the day :)”

“Finley had another overnight stay with Kasia and her family. He was sooo pleased to be back! He clearly had a great time and was so well cared for by Kasia. Thank you as always. Clare Al and of course the one and only Finley xx 😊”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover offering warm, family-style care in Woodley. We spend lots of time outdoors walking, playing and enjoying fresh air. Our golden retriever, Crumble is playful, gentle and loves making new dog friends. He’s also a proud stick collector and occasional sock thief. I care for dogs as if they were my own, with patience, affection and plenty of attention. I’m home-based and able to offer flexible care during weekdays and selected weekends. We already enjoy daily walks and outdoor time, so your dog will join a warm family routine with regular exercise, garden breaks and company throughout the day. One dog at the time so every dog gets personal care and attention. I provide a safe, loving home environment with a secure garden, regular supervision and lots of comfort. I keep care personal and low-stress, with gentle introductions to Crumble and close attention to each dog’s needs. I’m happy to follow feeding, sleep and walking routines so your dog feels settled and secure. Crumble offers playtime, toy sharing and first-class cuddles.
“Maggie clearly had the best time with Colin and his gorgeous cockapoo, Kiso! Lots of fun and walks and playing together - really was great. Colin sent lots of good 'pupdates' and videos and really made sure Maggie was comfortable and happy, I'm sure Maggie would be delighted to stay over again on our next trip! Thank you”

“Custard had a simply super time with Jacqueline and Maggie. Plenty of long walks and cuddles, she really couldn’t ask for more! Jacqueline sent plenty of photos and short updates giving me total peace of mind. I would not hesitate to leave Custard in her care again. Highly recommend!”

“This was our first experience using Rover, and Marcus and Kathleen made it an exceptionally positive one from start to finish. Before booking, we met Marcus and his dog Bailey for a one-to-one introduction, which went incredibly well. Marcus was warm, reassuring, perceptive, and genuinely interested in getting to know our precious Puggle, Pippa. It was clear from the outset that he understands dogs and takes the time to learn about their individual personalities, routines, and needs. We also arranged a home visit before Pippa’s stay, which gave us a great opportunity to see the environment she would be staying in and where the dogs spend their time. As Pippa is very much a scent-driven Puggle, she loves investigating new surroundings, sniffing every corner, crack, and cranny as she settles into a new space. Being able to explore the house and garden beforehand, as well as meeting Kathleen, helped her feel comfortable and familiar with everything. Throughout Pippa’s stay, Marcus and Kathleen kept us regularly updated with messages and photos covering her daily walks, snoozing sessions, and overall demeanour. This was particularly appreciated during the heatwave that coincided with our holiday, as it gave us complete confidence that Pippa was comfortable, well cared for, and having her individual needs thoughtfully considered. Their communication was supportive, engaging, and exactly the kind of reassurance we would hope for from such well-rounded and experienced sitters. Throughout the whole process, Marcus and Kathleen were welcoming, professional, and clearly passionate about providing a safe, caring, and enjoyable environment for the dogs in their care. They gave us complete confidence that Pippa would be happy and well looked after. We would have no hesitation in recommending Marcus and Kathleen to other dog owners and would gladly trust them with Pippa again in the future. Five stars from both us and Pippa. 🐾”

“First time we have left Monty with anyone other than family. Bea was lovely and reassured us with regular updates. Monty seemed very happy and looked like he enjoyed his time being away. Thank you Bea.”

“Maria and Vincenzo are the best pet sitters one can ask for! They took care of Evie just like their own and did their best for her. Evie had to be in the hospital for about 3 days due to a viral infection and it was quite serious but Maria and Vincenzo gave their best efforts and took such good care of her that she recovered really soon and she was back to being energetic! Thank you so much Maria and Vincenzo for all your help!”

“We booked again with Prerna, as we had a week holiday abroad, and I can honestly say we were at such ease with Reggie being with Prerna and her family. We got daily updates, videos and pictures, along with that he always has such a fun time there, looked after so well and loved. Thank you !”

“Bärli loved his time with Mark and Mel. He got lots of walks and got to go in the canal to cool off. Communication was amazing and I got lots of photos and videos throughout. Will definitely book again!”

“Shilpi was very flexible and accommodating towards us and the needs of our 8 month old dog. Her dogs were very friendly and our dog seemed to settle in at her home. The photos and short updates sent to us while we were away were great to see that Frankie was fine.”

Would highly recommend Richard. Both he and his gorgeous Springer Moo were incredibly welcoming and calm with our 2-year-old Border Terrier, Fergus during an initial intro visit - so it felt easy to leave him in very good hands for a week away. Could tell, via messages and photo updates during the week, that he was being treated as 'one of the family', with wonderful walks and just 'chilling out' in hot weather. Fergus's first time away from home without us, therefore grateful this was a positive experience for him. No signs of stress at any point ... nothing but excitement and a wagging tail!

We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Roket. From the moment we met, it was clear they will look after him as if he were their own. We loved receiving daily updates with a lovely summary of what they’d been up to, along with plenty of photos. It was so reassuring to see how happy and settled Roket was each day. Roket also needed medication for a week during his stay, and they administered it without any issues while keeping a close eye on him. They kept us informed throughout, which really put our minds at ease. The biggest compliment we can give is that Roket didn’t want to leave! It was obvious he felt completely comfortable, loved, and cared for. We’d recommend them without hesitation and will definitely be booking with them again. Thank you for taking such amazing care of our boy!

We left our Japanese Spitz with Priya for a week whilst we were on holiday and she looked after her amazingly! We were looking for a "home from home" for her, and we definitely found it. We also had an issue with our flight on the way back and Priya very kindly provided an extra day of her time, for which we are incredibly grateful. We also got regular photos/videos and updates, so we could see how much fun was being had! Would highly recommend :-)

Charlene and her partner looked after Tilly for a week and this was the first time we'd ever put Tilly in someone else's care since we've had her. Tilly was thoroughly spoilt, enjoyed her walkies, and settled in well. I would totally recommend Charlene to anyone - it was such a relief to know Tilly was in good hands and how happy she was. Thank you!

Katie looked after willow for 3 days in her home and it was without doubt the best experience I have had on Rover. The communication and care that willow got was incredible and it was clear to see that Katie and her family are Dog lovers. This gave me complete confidence throughout the 3 days that everything was under control and willow was well looked after. I would highly recommend Katie and will be using again so this is an easy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We are beyond appreciative and so thrilled with the care our cat Elliot got with Wing. Since he is only 5 months old we were nervous leaving him for the first time but Wing was so professional. From my first enquiry, she came back with a list of questions - things I wouldn’t think to answer having no experience with pet boarding before. She was genuinely interested in how Elliot lives his life and his needs and sought to understand that first before offering her services. She also came round the house to visit him and us. Wing made us feel so comfortable and we knew Elliot would be safe and well cared for. When the time came for our trip, Wing made us feel at ease by reminding us of what we should bring. And he wasn’t there long before the pics and videos started coming in. My goodness was Elliot spoiled by Wing and her partner. Lots of cuddles and play time, comfy places to lounge and sleep, regular meals, a few treats, and even the footie on television!! 😆 Thank you, Wing for your exceptional care of our lovely Elliot. We hope you’ll look after him again if needed.

From our initial "meet and greet" until the time I collected Hugo from Caroline after his stay, everything went perfectly. Caroline provided such wonderful care for Hugo, getting to understand his personality and sending me updates as to how he was getting along in a different environment. You can just tell your dog will be in safe hands. Definitely the gold standard of dog care.....definitely recommended!

Carole was amazing with my little boy while I was away - he's almost 15 yrs old now so leaving him for any amount of time can be nerve wracking but Carole gave me reassurance the whole time. She always sent daily photos of him and updates as to how he was doing - mostly he just enjoyed lounging with her and her other 4 gorgeous puggies. I came back to a very happy and spoilt pug and I will deffo book with Carole again in the future. Carole, thanks for being so kind and helpful - see you soon :)

Emily is absolutely wonderful and I cannot recommend her highly enough! This was my first time using Rover and I was genuinely a little nervous — it was also the first time Marley (9-year-old Siberian Husky) and Bailey (3-year-old Golden Retriever) had ever stayed overnight at a sitter's home, let alone for 5 nights. But from the moment I met Emily, she put all my worries completely at ease. Throughout the stay, Emily followed the feeding and walking routines to the letter, went above and beyond by walking the dogs twice a day, and made sure they were in a safe and relaxing environment at all times. She sent photos and updates several times a day and was always responsive and easy to communicate with — a huge comfort when you're thousands of miles away! Marley and Bailey came home happy, relaxed, and clearly very well looked after. It was so lovely to see how much they enjoyed their time with her. Emily is flexible, caring, professional, and truly a dog lover. I will absolutely turn to her again next time I need pet sitting, and would not hesitate to recommend her to my friends and anyone looking for a trustworthy and dedicated sitter. Thank you so much, Emily! 🐾

Ellie and Mason were amazing. They had my older cat Oreo for 2.5 weeks and sent me daily updates with photos and videos. I felt like they took very good care of her and Oreo even came home very settled and relaxed which does not always happen when I have been away for such a long time. I would highly recommend booking with them.

Anna is a wonderful sitter - friendly, professional and very responsible. She clearly loves animals. Regular updates were sent, dietary requirements were followed, everything kept clean and tidy and our dog came back healthy and happy. Highly recommend booking with Anna to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter.

Vinny had a wonderful time staying with Andrea and Luka. Andrea sent regular updates and photos throughout the day, which gave me real peace of mind while he was with her. By the time I picked him up, he was tuckered out and ready for bed. I would thoroughly recommend Andrea to anyone looking for a caring dog sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

- 90% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
