“Loki had the best time with Shubham! I was sent lots of pictures and updates throughout my dogs stay and in all of them he had the biggest smile on his face. I would highly recommend using them :)”

About: I've had dogs my entire life and have been around animals since childhood. Caring for pets has always been a natural part of my daily life, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. Over the years, I've looked after dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities for family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. Whether it's feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I understand that every dog has unique needs and routines, and I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I have experience with energetic puppies, senior dogs, and dogs that need a little extra patience and attention. My goal is to give pet owners peace of mind knowing their furry family members are in caring and dependable hands. I work a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Whether it's walks, feeding, playtime, or just keeping them company, I make sure they get the care and attention they need. I'm available most weekdays and weekends, and I'm happy to work with your pet's usual routine to help them feel comfortable and settled. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I have had dogs all my life and understand how important it is to leave them with someone you trust. I have a secure fenced garden within the building where dogs can safely play and explore. I follow any feeding schedules, medication instructions, and routines provided by owners so your dog feels as comfortable as possible while you're away. If your dog is crate trained, I can accommodate that as well.
“These guys are great and we will be definitely be using them again. They were always in touch and sending us pics and videos of our dog whilst he was with them. Our dog had a lovely time and was very happy.”

About: Barney and I are a married couple who absolutely love dogs and would be thrilled to welcome yours into our home. I grew up with a cheeky little sausage dog and spent my childhood surrounded by family dogs, while my husband was raised with loyal and energetic Labradors. Between us, we’re comfortable with all sizes and personalities! It’s just the two of us living in a calm, pet-friendly home with a secure, enclosed garden where your dog can safely explore and play. We’re available on weekends and during the school holidays as I am a an Early Years Teacher, so we can give your pup plenty of attention, cuddles, and care while you’re away! Whether it’s relaxing on the sofa, playing fetch in the garden, or going for gentle walks, we’re happy to tailor our care to suit your dog’s needs and routine. We know how important it is to leave your dog with someone you trust, and we’d love to give them a home-from-home experience. We have availability over the weekends and during the school holidays. We love to go on long country walks and would love to keep your furry friend busy! :) We have a small crate here if that is required for your dog to sleep in. We have an enclosed garden with patio and grass and some lovely walks near by.

“We had an emergency and had to book last minute, and Karen was great, she responded quickly and helped us get everything sorted. Our dog fern hada great time and was very well looked after, and came home tired. Highly recommend!”

“Claire took excellent care of Alfie! Her communication was excellent from start to finish, and she sent updates and photos during his stay. She was incredibly kind and Alfie had a great time. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I grew up with family dogs and, for the past two years, have been raising and training my own Shiba Inu. Through this experience, I have developed a strong understanding of dog behaviour, positive reinforcement training, establishing routines, and providing consistent care. Owning a Shiba Inu has also taught me the importance of patience, clear communication, and adapting to each dog’s unique personality. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I work from home every Friday and am also available on some Tuesdays and Thursdays, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide attentive care throughout the day. My workload is generally manageable, so I can spend quality time with your dog, including playtime, companionship, and regular walks during breaks. I’m also available most weekends, allowing me to dedicate even more time to your pet’s care and ensure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while you’re away. Whether caring for pets in my home or in their owner’s home, I aim to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I take the time to learn about each pet’s individual needs, including feeding schedules, exercise requirements, favourite activities, and any special instructions. I have a friendly Shiba Inu who loves meeting and playing with other dogs. For social dogs, this can provide an excellent opportunity for companionship and playtime throughout the day. Of course, I always introduce dogs carefully and make sure they are comfortable with one another. I provide plenty of attention, exercise, walks, and enrichment, while also ensuring pets have a safe and comfortable space to relax. I understand how important it is for owners to feel confident while they’re away, so I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos. My goal is for every pet to feel happy, secure, and part of the family while in my care.
About: From growing up on a farm to caring for pets of my own, animals have always been a huge part of my life. I genuinely love looking after them and find it incredibly rewarding. I'm a teacher and share my home with four cats and a rescue dog, Teddy, so caring for animals is very much part of my everyday routine. As I rarely travel due to my own pets, I'm often available to provide reliable care during school holidays and weekends. When I'm home for the day, Teddy enjoys three walks, plenty of ball games, and enrichment activities that encourage sniffing and exploration. Since recently moving to Reading, we've been enjoying discovering local parks and green spaces together. If your dog is energetic and active, they can expect the same level of exercise, stimulation, and attention, along with plenty of cuddles and affection. As Teddy is a rescue dog and my first dog, I've learned a great deal about canine behaviour and care. I strongly believe that understanding an animal's history, personality, and individual needs is key to providing the best possible care. Every pet is different, and I take the time to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and well supported while in my care. My home also benefits from a secure garden, a dedicated cat summer house, and easy access to two nearby parks, providing plenty of opportunities for exercise, play, and relaxation. I may also be available on some weekday evenings. If you don't see availability on my calendar, please feel free to contact me before booking, as I may be able to open additional dates. I work weekdays as a teacher but apart from Tuesdays I can take care of your pet after work and during the school holidays. I can be flexible. I have a flat in Oxfordshire and a flat in London. Weekends are spent in the flat in Oxfordshire due to the garden space. I also live opposite a large park in London where I often take my own dog on walks.
“Nina had a great stay with Ann and family, she was looked after really well and we received regular feedback on how she was going. The house was very well set up with easy access to the garden and Nina has a good walk every day. We would recommend Ann to others looking for a friendly place for their dog to stay in the Wokingham area.”

“Giz was fantastic in looking after Bear, she was quick to respond and provided lots of photo updates throughout his stay. Would definitely recommend and we'll be using Giz again :)”

About: I have had a heart full of love for animals for my whole life, particularly dogs. We had 2 family dogs growing up, which I had to feed and walk every other day (don’t worry, someone filled in on the other days). No professional experience yet, but I have volunteered in dog shelters and day cares here and there. I’ve also boarded one dog in the past - a hyper energetic pit bull puppy who was a handful, but adorable. I always make sure a pet receives precisely the care that the owner would like, and I aim to give them fun and tiring walks with lots of play (if they’re so inclined). I’m well read on dog training, and won’t teach your dog any bad habits. I’m also a hobbyist photographer, and will provide beautiful photos of your pet as a free part of the service. Please get in touch for more information! I’m working from home until mid September, so if you need help over the holidays, I’m your man! I have some weekend activities planned so I may not be free every single day, but many of my plans include long walks in the country, and I’m happy to bring a dog along! Pets will have constant supervision, since I have no responsibilities outside of the home until September. I have a fenced garden for toilet breaks, I’m a 3 minute walk from Christchurch meadows for short walks and kings meadow is just a little farther along the river for longer walks. Cats and dogs will sleep in my room, on a dog/cat bed. I will take photographs of your pet with my canon DSLR to send to you via email (free and optional of course) so that you can see that they’ve had a great time.

“Stuart was a wonderful sitter for our dog Shania, very friendly and accommodating when we asked to extend the booking past the original pick up time. You can be sure your dog will be well cared for and he clearly loves dogs 🐕 ❤️”

“Teddy loved his time with Katarzyna, she looked after him so well and he was one of the family and we would 100% use her again. We also really appreciated the regular updates, thank you so much.”

“Wonderful experience from the first time we met. I received very frequent updates with pictures. Reggie seemed very happy and comfortable spending time with Rio and Romeo. Overall I'm greatful for the hospitality and flexibility shown by Shilpi.”

“I highly recommend Priya! She welcomed our large, bounding puppy into her home after careful introductions with her lovely dog Farley. Farley and our Mojo got on so well and Mojo had such an amazing time whilst we were abroad for 2 weeks. Priya sent us photos and videos and updates and we never worried about Mojo. He was catered for very well, and was allowed the same comforts that he has at home, so him staying with Priya was very much a 'home-away-from-home' experience. And Mojo clearly adores Priya - as he gets so happy and excited when he sees her, and Farley is definitely one of his besties! As a family, Priya allowed us to enjoy our time away by giving Mojo the best care.”

“Sabina was an amazing sitter. She took my overnight booking last minute due to a family emergency. It was the first time I'd left my dog with someone she doesn't know and I was a little nervous about it but Sabine took wonderful care of her, my dog was happy and settled there. She provided me with regular updates and was so kind and gentle with her.”

Sarah was kind and supportive in the run up to our first ever Rover boarding and so very flexible with a slight change to our booking. On the day of our stay we had lovely messages and photos and it was so reassuring to know our dog was having fun while we were away. Everything packed up and ready to go at the door for collection time. Thank you so much Sarah for being so kind and reassuring and for giving our dog a fantastic sleepover experience.

Meeting Roger has been wonderful. Our two dogs have had a great stay with him and his wife and family. They settled in so well and came home very relaxed. We’ve been left with total peace of mind. Thank you Roger, Arnie and Jarvis look forward to staying with you again I hope.

Veena looked after our very elderly terrier for 12 nights. He was well looked after in the heatwave. She coped with a slight health scare early into his stay and again kept us fully informed. He became part of their family and we had regular pictures and videos during his stay. I would recommend Veena

10/10 - first time leaving our 3 month old patterdale with someone else. She had a fantastic time with Andrea, who kept us updated throughout. Our pep is challenging at times but Andrea’s kept her healthy happy and exercised - we took a very tired little puppy back home with us after!

Our JRT Phobos enjoyed all the play time and walks he got during his weekend stay with Stuart, and was certainly spoilt with attention and cuddles! We had total confidence in Stuart from our first meeting and could tell he would look after our boy as if he was his own. Cannot recommend highly enough, we will definitely rebook soon. Thank you again Stuart

Goose has just completed his trial 24 hours with Emily and as a very nervous dog-mum leaving him for the first time, I was so grateful to have found such a thoughtful understanding boarder! Goose is huge and young and very strong, but not once has Emily seemed phased. Her confidence built my confidence and her regular updates and pics were really appreciated. I now know he will be OK this summer. Thank you!

Casper and Sippa came home from their mini break with Charlene happy and relaxed. As very elderly dogs, I knew that Charlene would have the experience to make sure they got the specialised care they need - lots of medication and slow walks! Thanks for taking a weight off my mind whilst we were away Charlene.

Booking Ivory was the best decision we could have made! She is a delight and my 2 dogs were well looked after. My little one was unfortunately in the vet when we had to leave and Ivory picked her up the next day and gave great care even changing her plans to accommodate this. We received daily videos and updates. The dogs had the best time and I can’t thank I our and her partner Andrew enough for their care and attention. I will definitely be booking with Ivory again!

Would highly recommend Richard. Both he and his gorgeous Springer Moo were incredibly welcoming and calm with our 2-year-old Border Terrier, Fergus during an initial intro visit - so it felt easy to leave him in very good hands for a week away. Could tell, via messages and photo updates during the week, that he was being treated as 'one of the family', with wonderful walks and just 'chilling out' in hot weather. Fergus's first time away from home without us, therefore grateful this was a positive experience for him. No signs of stress at any point ... nothing but excitement and a wagging tail!

We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Roket. From the moment we met, it was clear they will look after him as if he were their own. We loved receiving daily updates with a lovely summary of what they’d been up to, along with plenty of photos. It was so reassuring to see how happy and settled Roket was each day. Roket also needed medication for a week during his stay, and they administered it without any issues while keeping a close eye on him. They kept us informed throughout, which really put our minds at ease. The biggest compliment we can give is that Roket didn’t want to leave! It was obvious he felt completely comfortable, loved, and cared for. We’d recommend them without hesitation and will definitely be booking with them again. Thank you for taking such amazing care of our boy!

We left our Japanese Spitz with Priya for a week whilst we were on holiday and she looked after her amazingly! We were looking for a "home from home" for her, and we definitely found it. We also had an issue with our flight on the way back and Priya very kindly provided an extra day of her time, for which we are incredibly grateful. We also got regular photos/videos and updates, so we could see how much fun was being had! Would highly recommend :-)

Katie looked after willow for 3 days in her home and it was without doubt the best experience I have had on Rover. The communication and care that willow got was incredible and it was clear to see that Katie and her family are Dog lovers. This gave me complete confidence throughout the 3 days that everything was under control and willow was well looked after. I would highly recommend Katie and will be using again so this is an easy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
