Hi, I’m Chenyan 👋 I’ve been around pets (both dogs and cats) for over 10 years, and have raised two dogs from tiny pups. Now I share my home with my whippet girl, Mae, who’s gentle and full of personality. Over the years, my dogs have taught me everything about patience, empathy, and the value of a calm, structured routine (plus, of course, endless cuddles). We live just a few minutes’ walk from two lovely valley parks, where we go for walks twice a day. I also have experience living with cats, so I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and their more independent feline friends. If your pet stays with me, they’ll be treated like family - with plenty of attention, play, and a cosy spot to rest (sofa privileges included!). Every animal has their own quirks and comfort zones, so I always take time for a meet & greet to make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and happy here. I’ll love and care for your pet as if they were my own - and will share regular photos and updates while you’re away. In a nutshell: 1. Experienced and passionate pet sitter (30+ dogs cared for on Rover since 2025). 2. My home is a quiet house in a peaceful neighbourhood, surrounded by grass fields, woodland, and streams — all within the community, no busy roads. 3. The go-to home for many of my friends’ pets when they travel. 4. At least two daily walks, lots of love guaranteed.

Chenyan and Suki went above and beyond for Nessa’s care during her two week stay, making sure she felt comfortable, happy, and safe throughout. It was clear from the moment we met them that Nessa was in such caring and capable hands. They truly went the extra mile to make sure all of Nessa’s individual needs were taken care of, and we really appreciated the time, attention, patience, and kindness they gave her throughout her stay. Nessa also had the loveliest time bonding with Mae, their gorgeous Whippet, and the two of them got on so well! It was so lovely to see how happy and settled Nessa was. We are truly grateful for everything Chenyan and Suki did for Nessa and honestly cannot thank them enough. 😊
Absolutely brilliant! So happy to have found a trusted address where I can leave my Pomeranian pup when I am away. She sent a lot of updates which is so reassuring. He clearly had the best time! Highly recommend!

Nessa also had a wonderful time bonding with Mae (the whippet), who is so well behaved, gentle and respectful. They clearly enjoy each other’s company! Nessa now even recognises when we turn towards their house and starts getting excited before she’s even out of the car, which says it all! Thor loves coming to stay with Chenyan. He is so well looked after, a real home from home only better and he has Mae to play with. I have total confidence that my dog will be cared for as one of the family.

Schedule
Our home is shared by two girls and one gentle whippet girl — it’s a calm and relaxed space where there’s always someone around. We both work from home, so the house is never empty, and we keep a flexible routine that can easily adapt to your pet’s normal schedule — whether that means early morning walks, regular mealtimes, or quiet nap breaks. Before any booking, I like to talk through your pet’s usual routine so we can keep things as familiar and comfortable as possible for them. And of course, a meet & greet is always essential.

Safety, trust & environment
I’ll always follow your instructions when it comes to food, treats, and routines. You’re welcome to bring along your dog’s usual meals, favourite snacks, or even their cosy blanket – anything that helps them feel at home. Safety is my priority: doors and gates are kept secure, walks are always on-lead unless agreed otherwise, and I take time to make sure every dog feels comfortable and settled.

A typical day
Throughout the day, we engage in a variety of activities that cater to each dog's interests and energy levels. And of course, will take them out for at least two mid-long walks.

- A little note about my dog Mae 🐾 Mae is my 2.5-year-old whippet — gentle, calm, and emotionally very steady. She has a lovely temperament and gets along well with all the visiting dogs who come over each week. She’s friendly, respectful, and often becomes great friends with them. Mae is also very mindful of other dogs’ boundaries — she never takes toys that aren’t hers, and when it comes to other dogs’ beds or food, she’ll only give a gentle, curious sniff before walking away. As a whippet, she loves ball games and sprinting, so we often let her off-lead to run freely. Her recall is excellent — one call and she’ll come back straight away, no matter how far she’s gone. Of course, she has her dislikes too: she’s not a fan of things or dogs rushing towards her at high speed, and in those moments she might give a small protective bark or two.
