“Pippa had a lovely day staying with Sarah and her family. Sarah gave me serval updates throughout the day for how Pippa was getting on which was lovely. It looked like she had a lovely day and was clearly happy there when I picked her up. I would happily ask Sarah to look after Pippa again.”

About: Dogs have always been a large part of my world and I do love them very much. My family are from the obedience show dog world, my mother is a dog trainer, behaviourist and breeder. She has competed for Wales at Crufts in obedience, and my Aunt once won Crufts obedience once outright (Bev Hughes, Woughstock Wisdom, or Jasper for short). We had a rotating cast of 7 border collies mixed with various pet dogs, well over 25 dogs over the years, five of them my own. Our pack has included poodles, sausage dogs, a Labrador cross, a Yorky, probably about 15 Border Collies + cross breds, GSD’s, Staffies, various others and finally the only current resident, a little male Jackawowa. We believe in the highest standards of care for all dogs, this means plenty of walks, plenty of play, and plenty of cuddles. I now offer professional dog walking and pet care services to the current generation of our four legged friends, this is my main work, so I’m not spending all day on Zoom calls ignoring your dog! and your dog will get lots of exercise on our regular walks unless they don’t want that. They will be looked after in our home, allowed on the sofa and treated as part of the family. So if you would like your dog to join our small pack for expert care on a temporary or permanent basis, get in touch. Please note: • While I’m happy to consider most dogs, I do not board, day care or group walk aggressive dogs. However, I can offer 1 to 1 walks for some smaller breeds and help with desensitisation. • I’m happy to refer you for larger dogs—there’s always a way forward, don’t give up! • I do not board unneutered females more than four months past their last season, as my own dog is an intact male. - Due to allergies I do not board or daycare anything more hairy then at border collie. (Doodle breeds ok). If you’re unsure about suitability or have any concerns, feel free to reach out—I’m always happy to discuss your dog’s needs. (You can message or call through the rover phone App by clicking my profile/tap teh 3 dots at the top/Call Catherine.) Waggy tails! Cathy I like to give my own dogs two walks a day morning and afternoon/evening, and various games and breaks in between, I'll do the same for your dog, (unless your dog is elderly or it's too hot, or by other arrangement). Plus cuddles. For those dogs that like cuddles, lots of cuddles. Dogs are looked after in the same way as my own dog is, kept inside our house when not walking, and we have a secure enclosed garden. They are allowed on the furniture.

About: I've had dogs my entire life and have been around animals since childhood. Caring for pets has always been a natural part of my daily life, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. Over the years, I've looked after dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities for family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. Whether it's feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I understand that every dog has unique needs and routines, and I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I have experience with energetic puppies, senior dogs, and dogs that need a little extra patience and attention. My goal is to give pet owners peace of mind knowing their furry family members are in caring and dependable hands. I work a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Whether it's walks, feeding, playtime, or just keeping them company, I make sure they get the care and attention they need. I'm available most weekdays and weekends, and I'm happy to work with your pet's usual routine to help them feel comfortable and settled. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I have had dogs all my life and understand how important it is to leave them with someone you trust. I have a secure fenced garden within the building where dogs can safely play and explore. I follow any feeding schedules, medication instructions, and routines provided by owners so your dog feels as comfortable as possible while you're away. If your dog is crate trained, I can accommodate that as well.
“Joanne took wonderful care of my Dog Oscar. She sent lovely pictures throughout the day which gave me peace of mind he was having a brilliant time whilst I slaved away at work in London. Will definitely be asking Joanne to look after Oscar again in the future.”

Thank you so much to Chenyan and Suki for taking such wonderful care of Nessa, our rescue whippet. We really appreciated the time and effort they put into getting to know her and understanding her needs, which helped her settle into their home smoothly. They treated Nessa as one of their own and did a great job helping her bond and integrate with their whippet, Mae. It was clear from the updates that she was happy, relaxed, and well cared for throughout her stay. We also really appreciated the regular and thoughtful updates, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Mae is very well-behaved, and we felt completely comfortable with the dogs interacting. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Chenyan and Suki, and we look forward to booking with them again in the future. 😊

Amazing care 😊😊 Great communication and lots of photos sent through the day where our pup looked really chilled and happy, and she came home tired after some nice walks. I had a problem with my car and Emily was really flexible with pick up times which really helped us out. Would really recommend and have already rebooked for more day care. Thank you! 🐶🐶

Juniper had a great time with Thalia! Communication was great both before and during the doggy day care, with Thalia sending lots of photos and updates throughout the day. She was also very accommodating when we were slightly late to collect Juniper. We would definitely use their services again!

Milo and Minnie had such a lovely stay with Joanne and Phanos! We were kept updated the whole time, which gave us real peace of mind, and it was clear they were in such safe, caring hands. We’re so grateful for the love and attention they received and it really showed, as they both took to Joanne and Phanos so well. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again. Thank you so much! 🐶💖

Thank you so much to Hannah and her partner for taking such great care of Nessa, our gentle rescue whippet, and making her feel right at home. We’re looking forward to her longer stay next month. We also really appreciated the photos and updates - it was lovely to see how much she enjoyed her walk and how well she’s settling into your welcoming home. Thanks again! 😊

My cockapoo has been going to Sarah for a couple of weeks now, and I couldn’t be happier. I really appreciated Sarah making time for a meet and greet, her communication is excellent, and I love receiving the photos of my dog having a fun time, and being well cared for, and treated as part of the family. My dog clearly loves going, Sarah understood her needs very quickly, and my dog was already excited to arrive on just her second visit, a sure sign she’s treated so kindly and part of the family. She has also boarded, and I feel completely comfortable that she is looked after and gets what she needs, and I have complete peace of mind when my dog is with Sarah. Sarah is kind, accommodating, clearly understands dogs, and it’s really lovely that her children also get involved with the dogs too. Sarah’s dog is also absolutely lovely, and a great companion. My dog gets plenty of attention, walks and snuggles - which is perfect for her. I would not hesitate to recommend Sarah for her excellent services. Thank you Sarah.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
