“Thanks for looking after Ruby at short notice. Ruby had a great time with Marion who is clearly very experienced with dogs! She was a very calming influence and I would definitely recommend her.”

About: Five years ago, I had experience dog sitting when I lived in London, but after moving, I stopped. Now I'd like to do it again. I'm a housewife, so I have time to look after your pets. Don't worry about your furry friend being lonely, because I have an 8-year-old girl French Bulldog who is very friendly, to play with your beloved one. My house is surrounded by a fence, and it's only a 5-minute walk to a park in a dog-friendly area. However, we have a small garden in our house in case of emergencies at night. 😉
“Tetiana is a reliable and caring dog sitter. I could see my Selene liked her immediately. She was kind, attentive, and made Selene feel safe and happy. Thank you for taking such good care of her—we'll definitely be back!”

“Such a positive experience, Bella was very anxious when arriving but I got updates to let me know how she was getting on with photos. She had a lovely time and is now exhausted! Thank you so much Nadia”

“Cannot say enough good things about Zara and her gorgeous girl Maggie. Our doggo Wallace LOVES them, and will definitely be hanging again :) We’ve now set up weekly day care after one sessions….says it all x”

About: We've had dogs our whole lives of all species including a beagle, akita, lurcher, pugs, labrador and now as adults we have one greyhound called Paul who is a very relaxed and lazy boy As a young person i volunteered at my local animal sanctuary, and growing up each of my dogs has been a rescue which has given me a lot of hands on experience with all kinds of dogs. My most recent dog Paul is an ex-racer greyhound who when we first had him couldn't be left alone and had reactivity to some dogs but with lots of time and training has fully settled down and become a very friendly boy. I am very confident that i would be able to take greay care of your pet and give them everything they may need I work shifts as a firefighter so i have 4 days of every 8 off which gives me plenty of flexibility for your pets needs I have one 8 year old greyhound, and a fully fenced garden, i also live close to South Hill Park and Swinley forest for some good walks and your pet will be comfortable in our home with space for their own bed and free access to the sofa
“Mike has been amazing - we arranged a meet & greet beforehand & they greeted each other as if they already knew each other !! Mike is caring, kind, very relaxed, flexible & accommodating, tidy & treated them as his own. We had regular photo updates throughout Mikes time with them & they looked very settled & chilled. Mike walked, fed, played & cuddled with them - what more can you want !! I highly recommend Mike, 100% book again, I felt very comfortable leaving the girls enabling me to enjoy our day out. Thank you very much Mike 😊”

“Natasha is quite honestly a god send, the best dog sitter than anyone could ask for. She is wonderfully attentive, speaks very highly of Dana and takes all of our puppies energy well in her stride. Dana is so excited to see Natasha every week, with great walks, great hygiene and great feedback at the end of the stay. The photos throughout the day really puts our mind at ease and it’s great to see Dana having such a great time. What more could you ask for?”

“Tonie took amazing care of my dog Roc for a couple of days, even during a heatwave. She made sure he stayed comfortable and well looked after, and kept me updated regularly with photos, which I really appreciated. It gave me great peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I’d highly recommend her and would definitely book again!”

About: I have 2 spayed female rescue dogs, Dot a 10 year old (we think) and Lotti a 4 year old. I love dogs, and my life has been taken over by my two beautiful girls. I’m home the majority of the time and available to assist you with your dogs care. Having worked from home for 5 years I’m now venturing out working from home for myself. My dogs don’t like going to the toilet in the garden so I’m out walking 3 times a day and have been lucky enough to incorporate and adapt working life around their needs. I have a house with open plan space downstairs and room for crates if needed. I have a garden and live near Swinley Forest so lots of great areas for dog walking locally.

“Both Julie and her daughter Catherine took such wonderful care of our dog Barry. Me and my partner were extremely nervous before hand as after 5 years we have never left him with anyone other than my partners mum and he is a very anxious dog who gets worked up when around new people or a new environment. When we picked him up after a day in their care, he was so calm and relaxed, and had eaten all of his food, which never happens on instances where we go away to a cottage holiday. He often takes longer to settle. Couldn’t recommend more.”

About: Hi there! My name is Charlotte and I am an experienced and passionate dog lover offering top-notch dog sitting services through Rover. With years of caring for my own family dogs of different breeds and sizes, I am dedicated to providing a safe, loving, and fun environment for your furry friend. From daily walks and playtime to cozy cuddles and personalized attention, your pup will receive the utmost care and affection while in my care. I understand that every dog has unique needs and preferences, and I am committed to tailoring my services to meet their individual requirements. Rest assured, I will follow your instructions diligently, ensuring that your pup's routine, dietary restrictions, and medications are adhered to. I prioritize open communication and will keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing that your beloved companion is happy and well-cared for in your absence. I genuinely love what I do, and I can't wait to meet and pamper your furry family member! I am currently not working and can be as flexible as needed for you. I can offer day care or even just a quick pop in! Whatever is needed! I have a small terrace in my 2 bed flat. This is completely fenced off. Every pup that comes through the door can make it there home!
About: I'm the kind of person who knows all the names of my neighbours dogs. I love dogs, have had my own for six years and regularly look after friends and relatives' pets. My current pup (Hero) is a friendly two-year old cavalier who is very accustomed being around all kinds of other dogs. I work from home, so am always around! Whilst I do have a few meetings where the study door would be shut against potentially noisy visitors, I mostly work flexibly and can prioritise dog walks/cuddles. I have a fenced in garden, a friendly dog, and a home which I'm never expecting to be entirely dog-hair free. I live next to a forest and take dogs there regularly - if you're happy for your pup to be off leash, it's a secure place for them to run around. I'd always ask your permission before doing so.
“Glad we found Ellie in Rover. She gave us photo updates of Buddy's day which was lovely. So happy that she is super close to us as well. Her dog Goldie is really friendly and Buddy built a friendship with her which is nice. Definitely will be using Ellie's services again. Thank you Ellie!”

“Marjorie looked after Toby absolutely brilliantly! He was very happy to stay with her and Peanut and we were very reassured by photos and updates during the day. Thank you Marjorie and we look forward to Toby’s next visit!”

About: If you ask anyone who knows me, they’ll probably tell you I’m the person who gets more excited about seeing a dog than meeting new people. 😁 I’ve been obsessed with dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I spent hours reading dog encyclopaedias, learning about different breeds, training, behaviour… basically anything dog related! After years (and I mean years!) of convincing my family and doing endless research, I finally got my own dog, Enzo, a Boston Terrier. I raised and trained him myself, and he’s honestly the sweetest little guy. Since I moved to the UK, Enzo has stayed with my family in the Czech Republic, where he’s living his best life and getting thoroughly spoiled. Even before I had Enzo, I loved looking after other people’s dogs. Whether it was going for walks, brushing them, playing with them or simply giving them lots of fuss, I was always the first to volunteer. I’m also a Teaching Assistant at a primary school, so patience, responsibility and staying calm (even when things get a little chaotic!) are all part of my everyday life. I know every dog is different, and I’ll always take the time to get to know their personality, routine and little quirks. Whether your pup is full of energy, loves endless cuddles, or just wants someone to keep them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved and right at home. And yes… you can absolutely expect lots of photo updates! I know how reassuring it is to see your dog happy while you’re away, so I’ll happily keep you updated with plenty of pictures, little messages and, of course, lots of love, attention and tail wags. 🐾🤎 I’m currently on maternity leave, so I’ve suddenly found myself with something I haven’t had in a long time… free time! 😄 I thought, what better way to spend it than surrounded by some furry friends before my own little baby arrives. Because I’m home, I have plenty of flexibility and can give your dog lots of time, attention and company throughout the day. Whether they enjoy walks, playing, sniffing every blade of grass, a cosy nap, or simply having someone around, I’ll happily fit in with whatever makes them happiest. My fiancé Arjuna works full time, but he’s just as much of a dog lover as I am! While I’ll be your dog’s primary caregiver, he’ll happily join us for walks, playtime and, of course, give out plenty of fuss and cuddles when he’s home. I’ll always stick to your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, so they feel comfortable and settled. And one thing you can definitely expect from me is lots of photo updates! 📸🐾 I know I’d want loads of pictures if I left my own dog with someone, so I’ll make sure you know exactly what your pup is getting up to while you’re away. Your dog’s safety and happiness will always come first! They’ll be staying in a calm home with just me and my fiancé, with no other pets or children. We also have a secure, fully fenced garden for safe outdoor time. I’ll always do my best to stick to your dog’s usual routine, whether that’s feeding times, walks, medication or their favourite cuddle spot on the sofa.🤎
“Deepa is a fantastic host. She welcomed my two dogs into her home at quite late notice and made them feel immediately at ease in a new environment. She also made me feel totally at ease by sending lots of pictures, videos and updates, so I knew the dogs were having an amazing day with Deepa! My pick up time moved around a bit due to a motorway being gridlocked for a while and Deepa had no issues being flexible and just going with the flow. I’d certainly recommend using Deepa’s services, and will certainly be coming back again myself! Thank you Deepa ❤️❤️”

Amy is always very welcoming, genuinely loves dogs and makes every effort to accommodate you and your pet. Barley is always very chilled after a day at Amy's, he gets a walk and can play in their large garden. Amy has been very flexible and has accommodated barley at short notice.

My Beddlington Whippet Sam fell in love with Helen at first sight ! Helen exudes confidence and warmth, Sam knew immediately he was in safe, loving hands. So did I. Helen provided Sam with lovely walks, belly rubs & play. Communication was excellent from start to finish. Not everyone is confident with full male dogs - Helen understands the territory ( pardon the pun) and is unphased by the potential challenges- which didn’t occur- possibly because of her relaxed, experienced vibe. Highly recommend. Thanks Helen - I couldn’t have completed my Sound Healing course without your support. Sam has a fabulous day 🙏

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Windsor commute.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
