“Where to begin ….. as someone who was a first time user of a dog sitter I was a little apprehensive, that soon disappeared after the first contact with tetiana she was friendly informative and put me at ease. I booked in for her to have my Labrador Louis for 4 nights. She suggested a meet and greet to familiarise Louis with where he would be staying which was going above and beyond. I met with tetiana and her partner Andrew and their two lovely playful jack russells I instantly knew I had made the right choice as they were both so warm friendly and showed a passion for the job they do While I was away tetiana sent messages and photos of Louis letting me know he was fine she was in constant contact which was so reassuring. Tetiana even went to the trouble of buying some bits that I had forgot to pack. When I collected Louis he seemed like he didn’t want to leave as he had the greatest time and received the greatest care. Tetiana had even documented Louis stay with the most stunning photos which she sent me I cannot recommend tetiana and her partner highly enough. The house is immaculate and the attention to detail from both of them was second to none I wouldn’t even consider looking for anyone else to take care of our beloved dog in future. Dog sitting and boarding isn’t a job for tetiana and Andrew it’s a passion and one they carry out with the upmost care and professionalism. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
