“Nadia has been brilliant with our two dogs and we'd highly recommend her. One of our dogs can be quite nervous around people he doesn't know, but was instantly at ease with Nadia, and I felt really happy leaving them with her. It is very hard to find someone you trust to look after your dogs (as, let's face it, most of us treat them like children!) but I cannot fault Nadia at all. She was attentive and caring at every stage and it's obvious that she and her family love dogs. We won't hesitate to use her again if she's available!”

“Peggy is always so happy with Sunny, she bounces to the door the second we pull up. Communication is always great and she's treated like one of the family. Thank you!”

“Ted had a lovely time with Ann and her family. He settled really quickly and got on well with the other dogs there, which was good as it was his first time away from home and us at the same time. We were sent lots of updates and photos during the week. Ann showed great care for Ted and we would definitely use her again. Thank you!”

“Bentley's second stay with Nadia was just as fun for him as the first! Photos throughout the day, and from some interesting locations. He looked completely happy and settled with her.”

“Amy and family are delightful and clearly love dogs and making sure she had all the information needed for the stay. I know Wolfie really enjoyed his stay with lots of walks, a swim, cuddles and a large garden to enjoy! I was so glad that he had canine company too. Thank you so much for looking after our boy with care and attention. Highlyy recommended!”

“It was the first time I had left my dog Skye with Varinder and I have to say that I could not be more happier. The service was excellent. She looked after my dog really well, listened to my instructions and kept me updated on holiday so I wouldn't worry. I would have no hesitation in using Varinder again. Thank you so much XXX”

“Luiza and family took such care of Wolfie giving him the company, walks and affection he needed while we were away. From the moment I met Luiza I knew he was going to enjoy his stay. Thank you so much.”

“Bailey enjoyed her stay and was well looked after with lots of updates and videos. Eirida understood Bailey was unsure around other dogs and made sure this was taken into account. We will be sure to book again”

“Sarah and Saurabh were fabulous. Sarah is super responsive on messages, booking was really quick and easy. Both Sarah and Saurabh are friendly lovely people, Saurabh took great care of our dog Bailey over a long weekend. He's an older dog so needs extra care with attention and meds, Saurabh was very caring and sent us lots of updates. Thanks both of you and we would love to book Bailey with you again.”

“Toni was absolutely amazing, kept us informed regularly and provided pictures of our dog throughout the day. Would definitely be using Toni in the future. Highly recommend.”

“Anneliese and Darcie took great care of my Dalmatian Ralph. He was very happy there and had a lot of fun playing with Bailey! I will definitely re-book next time I’m in the area. Thanks both! 🐶”

“I was delighted to find Marion as she stepped in at short notice to look after our dog. Scout loved staying with her and was very reluctant to come home!🤣 I will definitely use Marion again.”

“I am so happy that I found Tetiana. Always reliable, my shy 1 year old Minnie feels safe and pampered with her. On our last visit, Minnie just sprung to Tetiana's door, scratching and not patiently waiting to be let in. I'm glad she feels happy and safe there. Tetiana also keeps good communication open, and always sends pics with Minnie's. Highly recommend.”

“Kotchaporn was amazing, and I was very happy with the care she provided for my dog. He has separation anxiety, but she made him feel comfortable and at ease from the start. She took him on plenty of walks, sent lots of pictures and updates, and maintained great communication throughout his stay. It was clear that she genuinely cared about him and made sure he was well looked after. I would definitely use Kotchaporn again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

Hunter had the best time with Courtney- thank you so much! Not only was Courtney able to help last minute, she stayed in communication throughout the booking process & Hunters stay, sending updates and photos. Hunter was a very happy boy when we collected him and seemed to have a wonderful time. Thanks again Courtney, we really appreciate you!🫶🏼

Kotchaporn was so wonderful with Nero. She gave constant updates and made sure he felt at home with a comfy bed provided and lots of attention. Both Kotchaporn and her partner are very attentive with the dogs and go out of their way to make sure each dog’s needs are being met. I was very impressed with the level of care.

Brilliant! Would definitely recommend. My 1yr old dog (Lottie) loved staying with Vikki and got on very well with her dog Harper. I think Lottie will miss them very much. We had daily updates and Vikki was very good keeping in touch. Would book again! Thank you so much for taking great care of Lottie. 🥰🐶

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
