“Hi Ann Thank you both for looking after Finn - its sounded like he had a great time When he came home he was a bit subdued without his new doggie friends. It was lovely that he was able to run around in the garden and play ball his 2 favourite things to do. It meant an awful lot to us to have peace of mind that he was being so cared for. I'm sure we'll so you again soon. Thanks again Veronica and Steve xx”

About: I’m Bally, and I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. I’ve looked after dogs for over 30 years and currently have a very friendly Maltipoo called Cookie, who loves having company around. My aim is simply to give pets a calm, comfortable environment where they can settle in naturally and continue with the routines they’re used to at home. I understand that every dog is different, and many owners have specific routines, preferences, and training approaches that are important to them. I’m always happy to follow detailed care instructions to make sure both you and your pet feel completely at ease. I work mostly from home, so dogs receive plenty of attention throughout the day, along with regular walks, play, company, and of course cuddles if they enjoy them. I’m also located near parks and green spaces that are ideal for exercise and quieter walks. My home is best suited to well-behaved small to medium-sized dogs, and I intentionally keep numbers low so each dog gets plenty of individual attention and a relaxed, low-stress environment. You can also expect regular updates and photos while you’re away, as I know reassurance and communication matter just as much as good care. Whether you need occasional help or someone dependable while travelling, I’d be very happy to help care for your dog. I mostly work from home and have a flexible routine, which means dogs receive plenty of attention, company, walks, and time to settle comfortably throughout the day. I’m available for boarding Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and weekends and try to keep each dog’s usual routine as consistent as possible while they’re in my care. I provide a calm, safe, and relaxed home environment with a fenced garden. I only take a limited number of bookings at a time so each dog receives individual attention and care. Cookie is very friendly and used to having other dogs around, but I always make introductions gradually and carefully. Regular updates and photos are always included for peace of mind.
“Claire and her family where fantastic with my dog Marley, he was spoilt rotten with attention and treats, he didn't want to leave. Can definitely recommend. Fantastic service.”

“Shilpi was very flexible and accommodating towards us and the needs of our 8 month old dog. Her dogs were very friendly and our dog seemed to settle in at her home. The photos and short updates sent to us while we were away were great to see that Frankie was fine.”

“Gordon had a lovely time staying with Meg and family! They greeted him with a very warm welcome and let him explore to get comfortable, and he came home very well rested and cared for! Thank you Meg for taking care of him in the heatwave, asking lots of questions and sharing pictures and updates throughout the day :)”

“Amazing first experience leaving Kenzo with Marketa. She provided multiple updates with photos and also was extremely flexible with the pickup time. I would highly recommend and would not hesitate booking her again! 👍🏾👌🏾”

“Deepa and her family were so very nice to Becky, she had marvelous time at their house. Becky is quite picky regarding her sleeping arrangements but she felt super comfortable at Deepa’s. Lots of play with Deepa’s dog Max also added to the great experience and they became very good friends. Overall, I am very happy with the provided care and feedback I received from Deepa during the day. I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of us ❤️ Many thanks!”

“We used Kataryna to look after our crazy pooch Pablo and he had a lovely time. We got regular updates and photos of his walks. He got dirty on his walks and was kindly cleaned up when we went to pick him up. Thank you again and highly recommended. Raj”

About: I’ve had dogs in my family home since birth, taking responsibility for walking, feeding, playing & clearing up after them! As a family we’ve also dog sat for family members multiple times during holidays over the past few years. I have a four year old son who is especially fond of dogs & eager to have some furry friends come & stay with us :-) I currently work from home majority of the week, but live only 10 mins drive from the office. My wife also works for home most of the week, so there is rarely a day no one is at home. We also walk our son to nursery & like to get out at lunch for a stroll so plenty of opportunities for walkies & playtime! We have a family home with good sized garden, currently occupied by our small tortoise. I’m sure she’ll be happy to share ;-) We have a four year old son who is very eager to have a dog of his own & has loved pet sitting for family members over the past few years.

I left my Skye overnight with Tonie & her family. As always I received lots of photos & updates. Skye got on really well with Tonie's dog Maggie, it was as if they had been best buddies forever. When I picked up Skye she was very calm & relaxed. I will always use Tonie to either do drop-ins or overnight stays. She gives me peace of mind that I know Skye will always be cared for - Thank you Tonie

Big thanks to Tetiana for stepping in and taking my dog in last minute after another sitter cancelled my booking and refused to look after my 6 month puppy just as I was boarding the plane for a holiday I received regular pics and updates so I greatly appreciated this after what happened. I would recommend.

Gemma has just looked after my dog Tippi for a week and I am extremely happy with her care of her. I spent some time dropping off Tippi to stay with Gemma for various hours to get her acclimatised as I had never left her before and I was anxious. Nothing was too much trouble for Gemma. I went on holiday confident Tippi was going to have the best care. I had just lots of messages and pictures while i was away, so i was very relaxed and could enjoy my holiday knowing my dog was well cared for. Gemma's dog is a lovely well natured dog and my dog had such a great time with the whole family I don't think she wanted to leave! She misses Rocky very much this week! If you are considering using Gemna I would highly recommend her. Go for it! Your dog will have the very best time

This was our first experience of both Rover and Deepa. Deepa and family took great care of our dog during our holiday. Even when our dog got injured a few days before our booking and we had a lot of extra concerns and special instructions around what he should not be allowed to do, and prescribed medication to give, this didn't seem to be a problem. Deepa's whole family seemed to participate in the care for our dog, they are clearly dog lovers, this is not just a business for them, and Deepa's own dog bonded well with ours. We got photos and videos every day thru the Rover App and WhatsApp, and this put our mind at rest/allowed us to enjoy our holiday.

Klaudia and Dan are both so so lovely, I knew my Codi would be in very safe hands just from our meet and greet! They asked lots of questions to make sure Codi would feel at home, they are both very accommodating. We got lots of updates during Codi’s stay and it was safe to say he absolutely loved it! I would recommend Klaudia and Dan to anyone looking for loving and attentive dog sitters☺️

Well what can I say. Steven and Jilka are excellent dog sitters. It makes leaving him so much easier knowing that he is in such good hands. This is the 3rd time that we have left Finley with Steven and Jilka. Finley knows exactly where we are as soon as he gets out of the car. He runs into their house without a backwards glance. Communication is excellent as well with updates and photos of how Finley is doing. We would not hesitate to recommend them
We met up with Caitlin a week before just so our dog could meet her in advance. Very happy all round she kept us updated and sent us some photos. Our dog seemed very chilled with her and I would have no hesitation in leaving her with Caitlin again she is very friendly and reliable.

Lisa was a wonderful person and gave my dog Molly a very enjoyable weekend. She has great walks nearby and a lovely garden which Molly enjoyed playing in. It was a hot weekend and Lisa had the house set up to a delightfully cool temperature for make sure the dogs were cool in the heat.

Reggie had the best time with Jade and her partner! He was so happy when we picked him up, which says it all. He was clearly loved, well cared for, and treated like part of the family. We also really appreciated the regular updates from Jade, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. I would highly recommend Jade and will definitely be booking with her again in the future! ⭐️🐾 xx

Luiza and her family were excellent looking after my boy :) I was very nervous about leaving my 11 year old with someone new, he had always been looked after in our home by family previously but Luiza made me feel so at ease about leaving him with her. She took great care of him, I couldn't of asked for a better carer. I would have no hesitation in asking Luiza to take care of Dexter again. Thank you Luiza 😊 you were great

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
