“Bailey enjoyed her stay and was well looked after with lots of updates and videos. Eirida understood Bailey was unsure around other dogs and made sure this was taken into account. We will be sure to book again”

“Peggy is always so happy with Sunny, she bounces to the door the second we pull up. Communication is always great and she's treated like one of the family. Thank you!”

“Where to begin ….. as someone who was a first time user of a dog sitter I was a little apprehensive, that soon disappeared after the first contact with tetiana she was friendly informative and put me at ease. I booked in for her to have my Labrador Louis for 4 nights. She suggested a meet and greet to familiarise Louis with where he would be staying which was going above and beyond. I met with tetiana and her partner Andrew and their two lovely playful jack russells I instantly knew I had made the right choice as they were both so warm friendly and showed a passion for the job they do While I was away tetiana sent messages and photos of Louis letting me know he was fine she was in constant contact which was so reassuring. Tetiana even went to the trouble of buying some bits that I had forgot to pack. When I collected Louis he seemed like he didn’t want to leave as he had the greatest time and received the greatest care. Tetiana had even documented Louis stay with the most stunning photos which she sent me I cannot recommend tetiana and her partner highly enough. The house is immaculate and the attention to detail from both of them was second to none I wouldn’t even consider looking for anyone else to take care of our beloved dog in future. Dog sitting and boarding isn’t a job for tetiana and Andrew it’s a passion and one they carry out with the upmost care and professionalism. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you so much for all you’ve done and know that so many others will be just as happy with the service you provide Carl and Louis x”

“Being a first time dog mum’s and leaving your puppy with someone new can always be a very daunting process, but Natasha made it so easy for us! Very kind, patient and gave us regular updates with how our puppy was doing! Thank you so much for all your help! We will definitely be back!”

“Ted had a lovely time with Ann and her family. He settled really quickly and got on well with the other dogs there, which was good as it was his first time away from home and us at the same time. We were sent lots of updates and photos during the week. Ann showed great care for Ted and we would definitely use her again. Thank you!”

About: I’m Bally, and I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. I’ve looked after dogs for over 30 years and currently have a very friendly Maltipoo called Cookie, who loves having company around. My aim is simply to give pets a calm, comfortable environment where they can settle in naturally and continue with the routines they’re used to at home. I understand that every dog is different, and many owners have specific routines, preferences, and training approaches that are important to them. I’m always happy to follow detailed care instructions to make sure both you and your pet feel completely at ease. I work mostly from home, so dogs receive plenty of attention throughout the day, along with regular walks, play, company, and of course cuddles if they enjoy them. I’m also located near parks and green spaces that are ideal for exercise and quieter walks. My home is best suited to well-behaved small to medium-sized dogs, and I intentionally keep numbers low so each dog gets plenty of individual attention and a relaxed, low-stress environment. You can also expect regular updates and photos while you’re away, as I know reassurance and communication matter just as much as good care. Whether you need occasional help or someone dependable while travelling, I’d be very happy to help care for your dog. I mostly work from home and have a flexible routine, which means dogs receive plenty of attention, company, walks, and time to settle comfortably throughout the day. I’m available for boarding Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and weekends and try to keep each dog’s usual routine as consistent as possible while they’re in my care. I provide a calm, safe, and relaxed home environment with a fenced garden. I only take a limited number of bookings at a time so each dog receives individual attention and care. Cookie is very friendly and used to having other dogs around, but I always make introductions gradually and carefully. Regular updates and photos are always included for peace of mind.

“Katarzyna was great with Simba! He had a lovely time there and would definitely send him back again! He was very well looked after and she kept me updated which was great! Thank you again Katarzyna! :)”

“Absolutely 5 stars! 🌟 Deepa and her husband took wonderful care of Alonso—he came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well loved. They were warm, communicative, and genuinely kind throughout. I felt totally at ease knowing he was in such caring hands. Highly recommend!”

“Lisa and family did a wonderful job of looking after Pippa over Christmas. Regular updates and photos / videos received. I would highly recommend to any other owners looking for boarding in the area.”

“Buddy had his first stay for a few nights with Lynda recently and we are happy to have found her on rover.com! He was well looked after in a safe and caring environment and came home a happy dog. Would highly recommend Lynda and Charlie”

About: I work full time from home therefore I am around to play, cuddle and love your doggies all day! We have a "go where you like" policy here. If you'd like to snuggle on the sofa then that's fine with us. I have 3 children ages 7, 13 and 16. They all adore our bullmastiff Maggie. We have had bull breeds for over 16 years. We have some wonderful walking spots on our door step (literally) South hill park, Swinley forest to name a few. Maggie our Mastiff is a big softy and loves other dogs for sleep overs. We lost our English bulldog before Christmas 2025 so she loves other dogs company even more so when we have visitors to stay. She is super chilled. All my children are calm and attentive to all animals, my eldest will most likely accompany on walks and help out with over night stay etc. He is a massive dog lover, he even picks up the mess!!!! We have an fully enclosed dog friendly garden. There is always someone at home, I work 9-5 Mon-Fri and my hubby works nights, so if I am popping out to shops or school pick up, hubby is here (sleeping but with one ear open) My work is flexible to allow for toilet breaks and walks, and cuddles are available always! If a pet comes for day care or sleep overs then we will treat them just like we do our dog, part of the family. They can go on the sofa and snuggle up, or if they need time to reset and be alone, we have crates here if needed, or separate rooms if not crate trained. There will always be space for them to rest alone if needed. Walks will be dependant on the dog, If you need 3 walks a day then we can do that, if they need one we can do that too! We all work together to make sure everyone is cared and accommodated for. If we visit for a drop in at someone's home, we will be respectful and mindful of your home and adhere to your house rules and ways for the dog, ensuring everything is left as we found it and locked up safe and sound.
“We booked a last minute stay for Luna with Sally and she was super accommodating. She sent updates and pictures through the stay which we really appreciated. Luna came home happy and healthy. I would recommend Sally for anyone's pooch. Thanks again for looking after her!”

“Wonderful experience from the first time we met. I received very frequent updates with pictures. Reggie seemed very happy and comfortable spending time with Rio and Romeo. Overall I'm greatful for the hospitality and flexibility shown by Shilpi.”

“Bruce had a lovely time with Claire. We received some lovely and welcome updates and photos reassuring us he was in good hands. When we picked him up he was very glad to see us but was obviously comfortable at Claire's and certainly not in a mad rush to get away. Thanks again Claire.”

“Sarah and her husband looked after Monty so well. He is a lively terrier and they were really patient with him, he played with other dogs and is now bored at home and wants to go back! She kept me updated on how he was settling in. Brilliant!”

“Nadia watched our Vizsla over the Christmas and New Year's holiday week with a very last minute booking. She provided such amazing care, great communication and really saved us when our dog sitting plans fell through. We would absolutely recommend Nadia and will reach out to her again when we need a reliable sitter to watch our Vizsla!”

“Diamond took a couple of days to settle, but after this seemed to have a great time. Chriszl sent photos, videos and updates every day. This was really helpful. We went back for day care a few days after the boarding and he was visibly excited to go back. Would use again.”

“Freddie had a wonderful time with Lizzy for a few days holiday. She was so kind and caring and respectful of his needs I don’t think he wanted to come home! Highly recommended”

“We booked Joel for the first time as we were going on holiday. We were anxious about leaving our doggy with someone new but Joel’s experience was exactly what we were looking for and our dog has been well cared for. Joel also kept us updated on Pablo, how his walks went and even photos. Thank you very much!”

We couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Sundeep did a fantastic job and gave us complete peace of mind throughout our trip. With the recent heatwave, we were naturally concerned about Bentley being comfortable and well cared for, but Sundeep went above and beyond to make sure he stayed cool, happy and settled. It was clear that she genuinely cared about his wellbeing, and the regular updates and photos were really appreciated. Thank you so much, Sundeep we’ll definitely be booking with you again!

We met up with Caitlin a week before just so our dog could meet her in advance. Very happy all round she kept us updated and sent us some photos. Our dog seemed very chilled with her and I would have no hesitation in leaving her with Caitlin again she is very friendly and reliable.

Lisa was a wonderful person and gave my dog Molly a very enjoyable weekend. She has great walks nearby and a lovely garden which Molly enjoyed playing in. It was a hot weekend and Lisa had the house set up to a delightfully cool temperature for make sure the dogs were cool in the heat.

Can't thank Gemma enough for looking after Ginny for a week. We hadn't left her that long before but she kept us updated with lots of photos of Ginny's antics and Ginny looked right at home and spoilt from the off, which made me a lot less worried and I was able to thoroughly enjoy my holiday knowing she was in good hands and having a good time 😊 We've already booked her in for another sleepover with Gemma and Rocky in August!

Reggie had the best time with Jade and her partner! He was so happy when we picked him up, which says it all. He was clearly loved, well cared for, and treated like part of the family. We also really appreciated the regular updates from Jade, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. I would highly recommend Jade and will definitely be booking with her again in the future! ⭐️🐾 xx

Luiza and her family were excellent looking after my boy :) I was very nervous about leaving my 11 year old with someone new, he had always been looked after in our home by family previously but Luiza made me feel so at ease about leaving him with her. She took great care of him, I couldn't of asked for a better carer. I would have no hesitation in asking Luiza to take care of Dexter again. Thank you Luiza 😊 you were great

Many Thanks again Tracy for the wonderful care that you gave Bobby whilst we were away. Bobby was having to take quite a bit of medication and Tracy adapted the care to meet Bobby's needs. Tracy is diligent and extremely caring and I wouldn't hesitate in asking Tracy to look after Bobby again. Thank you and your family so very much!

Deepa & her family were a home away from home for Maple whilst we went on holiday for a week. We couldn’t have asked for anyone to have treated our fur baby with any more love and understanding of what a dog needs. Maple came home very happy and sleepy from lots of lovely walks and socialisation. Highly recommend. Thank you!

We couldn’t be happier with the care that Winston received. Estera was so welcoming from the start and he seemed to really warm to her. She has a lovely peaceful home, and he seemed comfortable right away which made us feel at ease when leaving him. I got daily updates and photos and was made to feel totally relaxed he was in the best care. I would 100% use Estera again and I think Winston is already missing her! Highly recommend to anyone in the local area. Thank you again Estera for treating him like you own ☺️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently had the pleasure of using Maria as a dog sitter, and I couldn't be more satisfied! From the moment I contacted them, their professionalism and genuine love for animals were evident. During our time apart, I felt completely at ease knowing my dog was in such caring hands. Maria and her partner went above and beyond, ensuring my boy was comfortable and happy. They took the time to understand my dog's needs, provided plenty of playtime, and even prepared special meals to encourage him to eat well. What impressed me the most was their attentiveness. They stayed with my dog in a warm environment, adjusting to his comfort level and providing ice in his water to keep him cool during warmer days. It was clear that they were dedicated to his well-being. Communication was fantastic throughout the stay. I received regular updates and photos, which made my time away much easier. Maria is a life saver, Scott was originally with another sitter but there were issues so I had to find another sitter. When I reached out to Maria and explained her the scenario, she was 100% ready to dive in and support me with the best she could and she did it wholeheartedly. If you’re looking for a compassionate, responsible, and attentive dog sitter, I highly recommend Maria. She truly treats your pets like family ✨

Stewie and Peppa settled in so quickly with Charlotte, even from the very first meet and greet. She’s absolutely lovely and made me feel instantly at ease, knowing my dogs were in such safe hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again and would highly recommend her

Christine was brilliant with Brodie. You can tell straight away when someone genuinely cares about dogs, and he looked really settled and happy the whole time. She kept us updated with regular photos, which honestly just puts your mind at ease straight away. It didn’t feel like we were leaving him with a stranger… more like he’d gone for a little stay with someone who knew exactly what they were doing. Really grateful for the care and attention she gave him, especially for just a one night stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again through Rover.

We left our dog Bella with Sara and her partner overnight, and they were absolutely brilliant. Communication was excellent with regular photo and video updates, which we really appreciated. They took Bella for walks, spent time playing with her in the park, and were very thoughtful in asking about any rules or routines they should follow. It gave us real peace of mind knowing Bella was in such good hands, which allowed us to relax and enjoy our time away without any worries. Thank you so much Sara! 😊

We had a great experience with Jen looking after our little Lola. From the start Jen (and her other half!) were warm, friendly and clearly very experienced with dogs. They have two lovely dogs of their own who seemed very gentle and welcoming. Lola can sometimes be a little nervous with new people and other dogs, but she appeared to settle in quickly and really warm up to them. We received some great pictures and updates, and it looked like she was having a wonderful time which was very reassuring. It’s clear she was well cared for and comfortable in their home. We would absolutely recommend Jen and would be very happy for Lola to stay again. Thank you for taking such great care of her!

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
