“Tonie took amazing care of my dog Roc for a couple of days, even during a heatwave. She made sure he stayed comfortable and well looked after, and kept me updated regularly with photos, which I really appreciated. It gave me great peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I’d highly recommend her and would definitely book again!”

“Natasha cared for my dog absolutely brilliantly. I got updates with pictures and knew she was having a lovely time with her. She was also very helpful and flexible when I needed it. Highly recommend and will return next time I’m in need.”

“Deepa took care of my two doggies today. She is such a delightful person. We can definitely tell that she and her family are dog lovers. She sent many pictures of them throughout the day and we could see that my doggies felt very at home with her. I will not hesitate to recommend her to anyone who is looking for a dog carer whom they can trust.”

About: We both had dogs growing up. We worked for Barking Mad in our old area. We had lots of owners ask for us to take care of their dogs as they went home so happy and relaxed. We stick to your schedule and rules. If they are not allowed on the furniture we respect that. Otherwise we love a cuddle and want them to be happy with us. We are both retired so there is always one of us at home. The longest we ever leave a dog alone is an hour if we need to pop out unexpectedly. Our garden is fully enclosed. We have lots of lovely walks locally taking different routes. Regular visitors get to choose which way they fancy! We never let the dog off lead as we are responsible for their welfare.
About: I've always loved dogs and taken care of rescue dogs. I've been having one dog of my own for the past 4.5 years when our family got extended with a Beagle female. I'm working from home and already walking Athena, my Beagle who enjoys making new friends. I walk her every day and one more companion for her would be excellent. I have a fenced garden and a lovely 4.5 years old female Beagle who enjoys sleeping and playing around. My Beagle is very friendly with other dogs as well as kids.
“Edward and Hannah looked after my frenchie Rocco for two days. They were really accommodating and arranged a meet and greet as Rocco can get nervous with new people/in new places. They were really flexible and accommodating with timings and arrangements, had great communication and kept me up to date with regular updates throughout the day. Rocco was pulling me to their front door the second day and was so calm and happy around them both so he definitely had a great time! I have booked another stay and will definitely look to using them again in the future. It’s always difficult finding someone to trust with your pets but I would highly recommend Edward and Hannah. Thank you again!”

“What a lovely experience from start to finish! Would highly recommend. We were very anxious to leave our puppy but we were updated throughout the day which was amazing. Our puppy seemed to have a lovely time!”
About: I’ve been raised around dogs my whole life, so caring for them feels very natural to me. Over the years, I’ve often looked after neighbors’ and friends’ dogs, giving me experience with a wide range of breeds, temperaments, and ages. I understand how important routine and consistency are for dogs, from knowing how often they need walks to recognizing when they may be tired, anxious, or unwell. What sets me apart is my attentiveness and ability to pick up on the small details that make a big difference in pet care. I can adapt to the specific needs of each dog—whether that’s extra playtime for puppies with lots of energy, a gentler pace and special care for seniors, or sticking closely to a feeding and exercise routine. I treat every dog as if they were my own, ensuring they’re not only safe and well cared for, but also happy and comfortable while with me. Pet care is my full-time focus, so I can dedicate all the time and attention your pets need. Since this is my only job, I have the flexibility to follow your pet’s specific routine, whether that’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening playtime. My schedule is built entirely around making sure pets feel safe, cared for, and happy, so you can always count on me to be reliable and available when needed. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets. In a pet owner’s home, I always respect their space and follow the pet’s normal routines as closely as possible, which helps reduce stress and keeps pets comfortable. I make sure doors and gates are secure at all times, walks are done safely on-lead unless otherwise instructed, and feeding/medication schedules are followed exactly. If pets are with me in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where they’ll have plenty of attention, exercise, and rest. I keep a close eye on their behavior and wellbeing, and I’m quick to notice if something seems off. Whether at my home or the owner’s, I treat every pet as if they were my own—ensuring they’re cared for with patience, kindness, and consistency.
“Jeetinder was absolutely great with Pebbles and I will certainly call on him to care for her again in the future. He has a lovely calm energy that came across from the moment we met him with Pebbles. Jeetinder kept us updated through the day on how she was settling especially at the start when we dropped her off. Pebbles came home happy as well so all good! Thanks for being a brilliant dog sitter!”

“Thanks for looking after Ruby at short notice. Ruby had a great time with Marion who is clearly very experienced with dogs! She was a very calming influence and I would definitely recommend her.”

About: Having grown up with my mum as a vet I have been around animals pretty much my whole life. I currently have a French bulldog who is unable to go on long walks due to health problems. As I am a stay at home mum my toddler and baby will be with me a lot of the time. I am used to giving medication to dogs of all ages as having recently lost our elderly Patterdale Terrier who was 17 and had a few health problems towards the end. Pets are welcome to be on the sofa and on the bed unless you ask that I follow any other rules whilst they are in my care. I have an enclosed garden and lovely walks near by. I am a stay at home mum so can be pretty flexible around your needs. I don’t have a set routine but I am keen to be outdoors during the morning to burn off that toddler engery! Personally my dog is crate trained so will sleep in his crate at night this is mainly due to his back problems. 2 meals a day in the morning and evening. I am happy for animals to have the run of the house if they are toilet trained. If a puppy I would shut the bedroom doors as they are carpeted. Walking routine can be down to individual pet needs.
About: As someone who uses Rover for our own dogs, I completely understand how daunting it can feel to leave your dog with someone new. We truly get it and are here to make the experience as reassuring and positive as possible. I started looking after dogs because they bring a kind of purity and simplicity to life that is hard to find elsewhere. It's a kind of love that can be communicated without the exchange of words or fancy gifts. In their own quiet way, dogs give us everything - muddy paws on clean floors, unwavering loyalty, and a love that asks for no words at all. We share our life with our two gorgeous Beagles, Basil and Rufus, who are full of mischief, full of heart and never far from our side. They are Father & Son but also best friends (and partners in crime). When they meet your dog, they might howl when they first see them (classic Beagles) but once they sniff they are all good after a few minutes. They are unphased by new dogs coming into their home, and are more than happy to share beds and space. They are used to this and not territorial. Myself and my partner Cam have both grown up in homes with dogs (more specifically Spaniels), and caring for them has always been a natural part of our lives. As both of our dogs were rescues, we have worked through challenges with separation anxiety and nervousness with time, patience and consistency. Additionally, my sister has a reactive Frenchie, which has given us further insight into the needs of nervous or reactive dogs. Because of these experiences, we genuinely understand how to support anxious or reactive dogs, tailoring our approach to suit each individual’s unique personality. Schedule We both work from home full-time, so dogs are a core part of our daily routine. Our two are always by our side - whether we’re working, relaxing, or out in the garden. We are used to providing structure, enrichment and plenty of company throughout the day with lots of nice places close by to exercise. We occasionally pop out without them, but it’s rare and never for long (much to their delight) because they have separation anxiety. Safety, trust & enrichment We have a very "dog proof"/"Beagle proof" home as our two can be mischievous at times. When our own dogs go to a sitter, safety is always at the top of our minds. That’s exactly the same approach we take with every dog we look after. Our home has a fully fenced garden that’s safe for play and exploration, and we carefully supervise all interactions between dogs to keep things calm and stress-free.
About: I'm the kind of person who knows all the names of my neighbours dogs. I love dogs, have had my own for six years and regularly look after friends and relatives' pets. My current pup (Hero) is a friendly two-year old cavalier who is very accustomed being around all kinds of other dogs. I work from home, so am always around! Whilst I do have a few meetings where the study door would be shut against potentially noisy visitors, I mostly work flexibly and can prioritise dog walks/cuddles. I have a fenced in garden, a friendly dog, and a home which I'm never expecting to be entirely dog-hair free. I live next to a forest and take dogs there regularly - if you're happy for your pup to be off leash, it's a secure place for them to run around. I'd always ask your permission before doing so.
About: Experienced and hands-on pet caregiver – from raising a puppy, rehoming a senior dog, to fostering a cat in need, your pets are in safe, loving hands! Since I work from home, I’m able to give your pets lots of attention and company all day long – they’ll never feel alone. I start my day early and can attend to early feeds and walks if necessary. I have welcomed 5 dogs into my home for pet sitting this year, giving each one lots of love, attention, and care. I have a large gated garden with lots of privacy, as well as being situated directly next to a park for quick walking access. Although I have in the past, as I don’t own any of my own pets I am able to give more love and attention towards yours.
“I had a wonderful experience with Lauren and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet care in and around Bracknell. From the very beginning, she was professional, communicative, and clearly passionate about animals. She took the time to understand my pet’s routine, preferences, and needs. She provided regular updates, including photos and messages, which reassured me that my pet was happy, safe, and well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Lauren again and can confidently recommend her to others.”

About: We are a warm, caring, dog-loving family offering a safe and relaxed home-from-home environment for your dog while you’re away. As lifelong dog owners with over 25 years of experience caring for many different breeds — including rescue dogs — we understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and individual needs. We are experienced with energetic dogs, nervous dogs, and those who may need a little extra patience and reassurance. Our family loves the outdoors and daily walks, and our friendly Foxhound, Achilles, absolutely loves having canine company to play with both at home and on walks. We regularly have furry visitors, so he is very sociable and used to sharing his space. We live in a large non-smoking home with a fully fenced and secure garden where dogs can safely explore, play, and relax throughout the day. During warmer months, the doors are often left open so dogs can enjoy free access to the garden. We also have plenty of cozy sleeping spots around the house, whether your dog enjoys curling up near the log fire, relaxing on the warm underfloor heating, or finding a quieter cool room for some downtime. I am home throughout the day, so your dog will have lots of company, regular toilet breaks, attention, and supervision. Dogs are treated as part of the family here and are welcome on the furniture for cuddles and relaxation. Our two children are calm, confident, and respectful around dogs. They love playing ball, giving cuddles, and helping visiting dogs feel safe and settled. We know how important it is to leave your dog somewhere you fully trust, so we are always happy to provide regular updates and photos during their stay for extra peace of mind. Both my husband and I work from home, so we are able to fit our routine around the dogs staying with us and ensure they have plenty of company, attention, and regular toilet breaks throughout the day. We are lucky to live surrounded by beautiful countryside with lots of different walking routes nearby, giving dogs plenty of variety, exercise, and stimulation on their walks. Some of our favourite local walks can be seen in the photos on our profile. We provide a safe, relaxed, and loving home-from-home environment for visiting dogs. Tonie took amazing care of my dog Roc for a couple of days, even during a heatwave. She made sure he stayed comfortable and well looked after, and kept me updated regularly with photos, which I really appreciated. It gave me great peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I’d highly recommend her and would definitely book again!

Deepa and her family are absolute stars! They’re friendly, calm, and truly passionate about dogs. They took excellent care of my energetic 4.5-month-old Springer Spaniel puppy and treated her well. I really appreciated that she blocked off her calendar when welcoming a new puppy to reduce any risks. Max is a fantastic adult dog—playful, affectionate, and a joy to be around. Highly recommended!

It my first time using Joel for a day care. Coco and him bonded instantly and I got updates throughout the day too. I felt very reassured and comfortable knowing he was cared for. Coco looked very happy when I went to pick him up at the end of day, and I would 100% use him again if needed in future. Thank you Joel & Grace🤗

Sara looked after Maya for just over 12 hours, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. Maya was a little slow to settle at first as it was a new experience, but Sara’s calm and reassuring approach had her feeling comfortable in no time. From the start, Sara was friendly, reliable, and clearly experienced with dogs, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. She kept me updated throughout the day, and it was clear Maya was comfortable, well looked after, and getting plenty of attention. When I returned, Maya was relaxed and happy — always the best sign! I’d absolutely recommend Sara to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again.

Christine was absolutely fantastic with my pup, Jenson! From the moment I booked, she made the whole process so easy—especially as I was new to Rover. She communicated clearly, guided me through everything, and instantly put me at ease. Throughout the day, she sent lovely photo updates of Jenson, and it was clear he was having a great time. Most importantly, he was happy, relaxed, and safe in her care, which meant the world to me. I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience, and I highly recommend Christine to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter. She will definitely be the first person I contact whenever Jenson needs care again!

What a great time Duggee had at Eirida’s 😊 She was treating him like he was one of her own. She has a lovely home and makes everyone feel welcome. Eirida updated me all the time with regular pictures of Duggee having fun and being outside, enjoying the company of the other dogs and having a nap. Duggee came home very happy and content. We will definitely book another stay at Eirida’s next time!

Samantha is lovely and communicates really well. She sent photo updates throughout the day, which we appreciated, and we felt completely comfortable leaving our puppy (Otto) in her care. Otto had a great time playing with Odin and came home both happy and tired. We will definitely book Otto to stay with Samantha again.

Nathalia did a great job looking after Poppy. Poppy immediately responded to Nathalia’s calm and friendly nature, and they hit it off straight away. We were very comfortable leaving Poppy in Nathalia’s care, and we came home from our dinner to find Poppy curled up asleep on the sofa looking very content. We would definitely book Nathalia again and we can highly recommend her as a carer.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
