About: I have taken care of dogs for friends and family for many years. Myself and my partner's families have always had dogs who are now sadly not with us and would be delighted to help other's with caring for their pets from holidays to unexpected busy schedules. Whether it's a holiday stay or single day, they are guaranteed to be utterly adored and treated like family. My experience has included looking after younger dogs with boundless energy, taking care of senior dogs who have very limited mobility, lumps and bumps, dementia and specialised diets and medications for various conditions. I have also cared for nervous dogs who need a little extra care and attention to build a trusting relationship. Additionally, I have taken care of dogs with medical conditions such as diabetes and administered insulin injections. Ultimately, your pet will be provided with the same level of attentive, stress-free care that I’d want for my own pets, leaving you completely at ease while you're away. I work full-time (7:30- 15:30 most days), but because four of those days are spent working from home, your pet will have plenty of companionship and regular toilet breaks throughout the day. I am available on weekends am incredibly flexible when it comes to accommodating your timing and routine. I’m always happy to adjust my schedule to make things as seamless and stress-free for you and your pet as possible! Your pet’s safety and comfort are the top priority. I maintain a clean, tidy, and pet-safe home environment where your furry family member can relax completely. Outside, I have a spacious, fully fenced grass garden that is perfect for secure playtime, zoomies, and safe outdoor exploration. Leaving you with total peace of mind knowing your pet is in a secure, loving, and hygienic space.

About: I've been surrounded by dogs since I was 10 years old, and caring for them has always been a huge part of my life. I also grew up with a Miniature Schnauzer and now have a Pomeranian and a rescue Spitz, so I understand the love, patience, and commitment that every dog deserves. When I was younger, I also volunteered as a dog walker for a local animal shelter, giving me experience with dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities. This taught me the importance of patience, building trust, and adapting to each dog's individual needs. As a dog owner, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk, plenty of playtime, or a calm, relaxed walk, I'll provide them with the same care and attention I'd want for my own. I'm experienced with dogs of different personalities and understand that every dog has unique needs. I'm happy to follow your dog's routine, including feeding schedules, exercise, and any special instructions, so they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your furry family member is in caring, reliable hands and treated like one of my own. I'm currently between jobs, which means I have plenty of flexibility and availability for dog walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. When I start my new job, I'll have a rotating schedule, allowing me to offer availability on different days each week. I'll keep my Rover calendar updated so you can always see when I'm available, and I'll do my best to accommodate regular walks and bookings wherever possible. I'm happy to discuss your pet's routine and work with you to find times that suit both you and your furry friend. Your pet's safety and wellbeing are my top priorities. Before every booking, I'll take the time to understand your pet's routine, personality, and any specific needs, including medical conditions, dietary requirements, and any behavioural quirks. During walks, I'll keep dogs on a lead unless you've requested otherwise and it's safe to do so. I'll tailor each walk to your dog's age, fitness level, and energy, while avoiding unnecessary risks and ensuring they stay safe and comfortable. When caring for your pet in your home, I'll treat your property with the same respect I would my own. I'll carefully follow your instructions, make sure doors and gates are always secure, and maintain your pet's usual routine to help them feel relaxed while you're away. For extra peace of mind, I also hold a valid DBS check and will provide regular photo and message updates throughout your booking, so you always know your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.
“Pavla was great with Dakota. She was prompt and attentive to her, giving lots of outside time and cuddles. I truly appreciated her flexibility as we had some last minute challenges which she took entirely in stride. We will definitely have Pavla back to care for our girl.”

“Shaq and Jennifer were absolutely superb, looking after our two cats at short notice. Just two wonderful, friendly people who clearly love animals and bonded with the cats immediately. They sent lots of lovely photos, and it was so nice to be able to go away and not worry. Got home and the cats were happy and chilled (so chilled that all I got was a raised head and a look of "well we've had a lovely weekend.... were you away or something?") Will definitely use again and recommend unequivocally. Thanks both.”
“Dawn has been amazing with my precious Kevin, taking good care of him and giving him medicine. As soon as I met her I knew she would be great with him and reliable. I've already booked you for another time, thank you.”

About: I own a large dog with epilepsy for nearly 14 years and have loved taking care of him. I understand that pets can feel stressed and nervous when their owners aren’t with them so I understand wanting to have someone look after them, or take them on long walks to give an enjoyable and fun experience. Although I don’t have much professional experience, I have looked after pets for family whenever I could. I’m currently taking a Dog Grooming course for a Level 3 Diploma and have recently completed my Pet First Aid course so I’m ready for an emergency should one occur. I’m available to pet sit on any day or night you wish. I’m also available to dog walk at any time whether it is early in the morning, or later in the evening! My pet is my top priority, and so is any other pet I look after so I always make sure they’re safe and well cared for (and spoiled). I’m trained in Pet First Aid so I am prepared for any emergencies

“Second time we’ve used Kerry to look after our curious and talkative cat, and once again we’ve come home and found her happy, relaxed and well looked after :-) great daily updates too, both us and our cat are delighted to have found Kerry!”

About: Hello! I'm so glad you've stopped by. If you're looking for someone who will care for your pet as if they were their own, I'd love to help. With over 10 years of experience caring for animals, I understand that pets are much more than companions—they're family. That's exactly how I'll treat yours. I've always had a passion for animals, especially dogs, and nothing makes me happier than spending time with them. Whether your dog enjoys long countryside walks, playing fetch, exploring new places, or simply curling up for cuddles on the sofa, I'll make sure they receive all the love, attention, exercise, and companionship they need while you're away. Every pet is unique, so I tailor my care to suit their personality, age, and routine. Whether you have an energetic puppy who loves to play, a senior dog who prefers a gentler pace, or a rescue dog who needs a little extra patience and reassurance, I'll ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy throughout their stay. I also have experience caring for nervous, reactive, and anxious dogs, taking a calm, patient approach to help them build trust and feel relaxed. If your pet requires medication, I'm happy to administer it and will carefully follow your instructions to keep their routine as consistent as possible. A typical day with me includes plenty of walks, playtime, mental stimulation, cuddles, rest, fresh water, feeding, and lots of one-to-one attention. I'll always follow your pet's usual routine because I know familiar routines help them feel settled and secure. I understand how difficult it can be to leave your pet with someone else, which is why communication is so important to me. You'll receive regular updates, photos, and videos, so you can see exactly how much fun they're having and enjoy complete peace of mind while you're away. Your pet's safety will always come first. I drive, so if an emergency or unexpected situation were ever to arise, I can get your pet to a veterinary practice quickly if needed. I would contact you immediately, keep you informed every step of the way, and always act in your pet's best interests. Although dogs are my biggest passion, I'm also happy to care for cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, and other small pets. Every animal deserves kindness, patience, and plenty of love. I offer flexible availability, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays whenever possible, and I'm always happy to discuss your individual needs. My goal is simple—to give your pet a safe, loving, home-from-home experience where they feel happy, relaxed, and genuinely cared for. I want you to feel completely confident that your furry family member is in the very best hands. For me, the greatest reward is seeing a wagging tail, a happy face, and knowing your pet feels safe, loved, and excited to see me again. Building lasting relationships with both pets and their owners is what makes this so rewarding, and I'd be honoured to care for your beloved companion as if they were part of my own family. I can't wait to meet you and your best friend! I work from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to provide attentive, reliable care throughout the day. Whether your pet needs regular walks, playtime, companionship, feeding, medication, or simply someone to keep them company, I can adapt my routine to meet their individual needs. Because I'm home for most of the day, your pet will receive plenty of love, attention, and supervision rather than being left alone for long periods. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, so I take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe, and happy while you're away. I will care for your beloved pet as if they were my own, ensuring they receive the patience, affection, and attention they deserve, giving you complete peace of mind. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and any specific needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free while you're away. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication, and any house rules. I understand that pets are happiest when their routine stays consistent, so I aim to keep things as normal as possible. As I work from home with a flexible schedule, I'm able to spend plenty of quality time with your pet, ensuring they receive lots of attention, companionship, and care rather than being left alone for long periods. I'll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well looked after in the comfort of their own home. Please note that I currently do not offer boarding in my own home, as I live in shared accommodation.

Since I work from home, I’m able to give your pets lots of attention and company all day long – they’ll never feel alone. I start my day early and can attend to early feeds and walks if necessary. “Robyn did a great job looking after our cats and providing us with great updates on her visit. We would definitely recommend and book again for future trips. Very reassuring to know the cats were well looked after. Thanks Robyn!”

“We arranged for Zoe to do drop-ins for our cats after leaving it too late to book them into a cattery as all were full. Zoe was lovely - friendly yet professional. We were confident that they were in good hands and she kept us regularly updated with photos. The cats were happy and healthy on our return, and keeping them at home meant much less disruption for them. Wouldn't hesitate to use Zoe again.”

Really happy with the service Lauren provided! Her quick replies, attention to detail with our cats routine and the detailed updates in the visit report card put our mind at ease whilst we were away. Knowing our cat was very well looked after, I would highly recommend.
Kathy looked after my two indoor cats for 1 week. Both cats were well loved and looked after. Kathy always gave clear communication and updates during our time away. She is really friendly and helped to water plants and bring in parcels which went above and beyond her service. We have already rebooked for our next trip. Highly recommend. Milo and Mabel look forward to entertaining you again soon.

Kerry was absolutely amazing with Stella and cared for her as if she were her own. Stella is a rescue cat who loves spending time outdoors, so we always worry a little when we’re away. Kerry kept us updated after every visit and let us know if she hadn’t seen Stella. If it had been over a day since she’d last seen her, Kerry even went out looking for her, which gave us tremendous peace of mind. Stella can be quite wary of new people, but Kerry clearly has a real gift with cats. Whenever Stella was home, Kerry sent us lovely photos and videos of them together, and it was wonderful to see Stella so relaxed, enjoying fusses and happily showing affection back. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Kerry again—in fact, we’ve already rebooked her for a few weeks’ time. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their cat with genuine love, care, and affection. It’s such a comfort knowing Stella is in such safe and caring hands while we’re away.

Shaq and Jennifer were absolutely superb, looking after our two cats at short notice. Thanks both.
Thank you so so much for looking after our little Krissy cat whilst we were on holiday! Gave us such peace of mind having Gemma visiting twice a day whilst we were away with lots of little updates and photos 😊. A lovely, friendly, reliable cat sitter- would highly recommend Gemma to look after your fur babies and will definitely be requesting her again. Thank you very much for looking after our little sassy princess 🐈⬛ 🩷

Kerry looked after our boy Teddy whilst we had a short break away in Europe. She kept us updated whilst we were away with photos and bonded well with him over brushing, treats and fusses. Kerry has a similar breed of cat herself so she was well used to the personality type of our BSH and by day 2 they were best pals! Thank you for looking after him so well. He was happy and content when we got back and it always gives us peace of mind when we go away. Pending availability, we will happily use you again in the future. xx

Sophie is such a brilliant cat sitter. We felt very reassured leaving our 2 young cats for the day with her, and she sent us lots of photos and pictures from her two visits with excellent communication. Our cats really liked Sophie too and we got to enjoy a nice day out without worry. Highly recommend!

Marina was fantastic with my girls. She was patient and kind. I felt so much happier knowing they were being looked after so well and the updates put me at ease! Marina also respected my home and made the entire time so stress free. A fabulous and kind woman!

Ivy absolutely loved Dawn! So much so, I think she wants me to move out and Dawn to take over. Either that or she’s not happy I went away. Dawn kept me fully informed everyday and sent me loads of lovely pictures and videos. All requests followed and Dawn is very thorough on the detail. Ivy seemed very happy and when I got home last night, she hadn’t missed me one tiny bit.

Harriet did a fantastic job looking after our cat, Ali, while we were away for two weeks. Her communication was excellent, and she went the extra mile to keep Ali well-fed, happy, and cared for. We came home to a very content cat, and real peace of mind throughout our holiday. Highly recommend Harriet’s services — we’ll definitely be booking again! 👌

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
