About: I have had two dogs back in my family home. A Labrador and a Romanian rescue dog. I have a good nature of letting anxious doggies, have there time to be familiar to new people and there surroundings. I’m very patient, and will always give them lots of love and attention. I currently work full time as a paramedic. But, I do have 4-5 consecutive days off at a time due too the shift work! I live with my partner who also is in emergency services but we often are on opposites so someone will always be with your loved one 🤍 Each week is very different, but we’re very adaptable in regards to how much attention your dog or cat may need I live in a one bed flat with my partner who loves animals. We tend to share looking after your pet, as we both do shift work, so someone will always be here for them! The flat is a one bedroom and , the windows don’t open too far, as they are on a small latch so no animal can get out. I live on the four floor of a twenty story story building. There is lots of greenery around my flat where I can go too walk your dog, and for them to use the toilet.
“Amy took such good care of Hettie during her drop in! She took lots of pictures and gave Hettie lots of fuss which she loved. It was so good knowing she was in safe hands while we were out! We will definitely rebook with Amy again ☺️”

“Shaq and Jennifer were absolutely superb, looking after our two cats at short notice. Just two wonderful, friendly people who clearly love animals and bonded with the cats immediately. They sent lots of lovely photos, and it was so nice to be able to go away and not worry. Got home and the cats were happy and chilled (so chilled that all I got was a raised head and a look of "well we've had a lovely weekend.... were you away or something?") Will definitely use again and recommend unequivocally. Thanks both.”

About: I've been surrounded by dogs since I was 10 years old, and caring for them has always been a huge part of my life. I also grew up with a Miniature Schnauzer and now have a Pomeranian and a rescue Spitz, so I understand the love, patience, and commitment that every dog deserves. When I was younger, I also volunteered as a dog walker for a local animal shelter, giving me experience with dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities. This taught me the importance of patience, building trust, and adapting to each dog's individual needs. As a dog owner, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk, plenty of playtime, or a calm, relaxed walk, I'll provide them with the same care and attention I'd want for my own. I'm experienced with dogs of different personalities and understand that every dog has unique needs. I'm happy to follow your dog's routine, including feeding schedules, exercise, and any special instructions, so they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your furry family member is in caring, reliable hands and treated like one of my own. I'm currently between jobs, which means I have plenty of flexibility and availability for dog walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. When I start my new job, I'll have a rotating schedule, allowing me to offer availability on different days each week. I'll keep my Rover calendar updated so you can always see when I'm available, and I'll do my best to accommodate regular walks and bookings wherever possible. I'm happy to discuss your pet's routine and work with you to find times that suit both you and your furry friend. Your pet's safety and wellbeing are my top priorities. Before every booking, I'll take the time to understand your pet's routine, personality, and any specific needs, including medical conditions, dietary requirements, and any behavioural quirks. During walks, I'll keep dogs on a lead unless you've requested otherwise and it's safe to do so. I'll tailor each walk to your dog's age, fitness level, and energy, while avoiding unnecessary risks and ensuring they stay safe and comfortable. When caring for your pet in your home, I'll treat your property with the same respect I would my own. I'll carefully follow your instructions, make sure doors and gates are always secure, and maintain your pet's usual routine to help them feel relaxed while you're away. For extra peace of mind, I also hold a valid DBS check and will provide regular photo and message updates throughout your booking, so you always know your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.
About: I have taken care of dogs for friends and family for many years. Myself and my partner's families have always had dogs who are now sadly not with us and would be delighted to help other's with caring for their pets from holidays to unexpected busy schedules. Whether it's a holiday stay or single day, they are guaranteed to be utterly adored and treated like family. My experience has included looking after younger dogs with boundless energy, taking care of senior dogs who have very limited mobility, lumps and bumps, dementia and specialised diets and medications for various conditions. I have also cared for nervous dogs who need a little extra care and attention to build a trusting relationship. Additionally, I have taken care of dogs with medical conditions such as diabetes and administered insulin injections. Ultimately, your pet will be provided with the same level of attentive, stress-free care that I’d want for my own pets, leaving you completely at ease while you're away. I work full-time (7:30- 15:30 most days), but because four of those days are spent working from home, your pet will have plenty of companionship and regular toilet breaks throughout the day. I am available on weekends am incredibly flexible when it comes to accommodating your timing and routine. I’m always happy to adjust my schedule to make things as seamless and stress-free for you and your pet as possible! Your pet’s safety and comfort are the top priority. I maintain a clean, tidy, and pet-safe home environment where your furry family member can relax completely. Outside, I have a spacious, fully fenced grass garden that is perfect for secure playtime, zoomies, and safe outdoor exploration. Leaving you with total peace of mind knowing your pet is in a secure, loving, and hygienic space.
“This was the first time we’ve used a sitter so we were a bit apprehensive, however, Lauren was brilliant with both of our cats. They really took to her and Lauren did everything we asked for and more. We felt much better knowing our little ones were in safe hands. We highly recommend Lauren and would definitely use her again. Thank you Lauren.”

About: What sets me apart is my genuine passion for animal welfare and my hands-on experience caring for dogs with a variety of backgrounds and needs. Having owned rescue dogs myself, I understand that some pets need extra patience, reassurance, and time to build trust. This experience has taught me how to read canine body language, adapt to different personalities, and help dogs feel safe and comfortable. I have also volunteered at a local dog rescue centre, where I regularly walked and cared for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. This gave me valuable experience handling energetic dogs, nervous rescue dogs, and those still developing confidence around new people and environments. I am comfortable caring for puppies who are learning routines and basic training, as well as senior dogs who may need a slower pace, extra attention, or support with age-related needs. I believe every pet deserves individual care, and I take the time to understand their routines, preferences, and personality. I provide regular updates and photos, so owners can feel confident that their pets are happy, safe, and receiving plenty of attention. My goal is to make every pet feel loved and cared for as if they were part of my own family. I’m currently working full time but I have flexibility around timings and am available mornings and evenings during the weekdays. Weekends are available when pre-booked. Your pet's safety, comfort, and wellbeing are my top priorities. I provide a calm, caring, and secure environment where pets can feel relaxed and at home. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, preferences, and any special requirements to ensure they receive the individual care they need. Having owned rescue dogs and volunteered at a local dog rescue centre, I understand the importance of patience, trust, and positive interactions. I am attentive to pets' behaviour and body language and always aim to create a safe, stress-free experience. I follow owners' instructions carefully regarding feeding, exercise, medication, and daily routines. During walks, I prioritise safety by using secure leads and avoiding situations that may cause discomfort or stress. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel reassured while they're away. I treat every pet as if they were my own, ensuring they receive plenty of attention, affection, and responsible care at all times.
“I would give Kerry more than 5 stars! It is always so reassuring to find everything in order and most of all, a happy cat! I can now plan future trips knowing that my cat is in best hands with Kerry! x”

About: Experienced and hands-on pet caregiver – from raising a puppy, rehoming a senior dog, to fostering a cat in need, your pets are in safe, loving hands! Since I work from home, I’m able to give your pets lots of attention and company all day long – they’ll never feel alone. I start my day early and can attend to early feeds and walks if necessary. I have welcomed 5 dogs into my home for pet sitting this year, giving each one lots of love, attention, and care. I have a large gated garden with lots of privacy, as well as being situated directly next to a park for quick walking access. Although I have in the past, as I don’t own any of my own pets I am able to give more love and attention towards yours.

athy was absolutely lovely, and we felt completely comfortable leaving our two cats in her care, as well as giving her access to our home while we were away. She took the time to play with the cats, give them plenty of attention and make sure they were fed and looked after. It was clear that she genuinely cared about them, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Kathy again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their pets. Thank you so much, Kathy!

Kerry has once again given us absolute peace of mind while we are away. Our cats love her and are calm and happy when we arrive home. This particular visit was really long, and Kerry handled Onyx’s water fountain destruction like a pro—she has fixed the fountain so we don’t need to replace it. So grateful for her care.

Really happy with the service Lauren provided! Her quick replies, attention to detail with our cats routine and the detailed updates in the visit report card put our mind at ease whilst we were away. Knowing our cat was very well looked after, I would highly recommend.

They sent lots of lovely photos, and it was so nice to be able to go away and not worry. Thank you so so much for looking after our little Krissy cat whilst we were on holiday! Gave us such peace of mind having Gemma visiting twice a day whilst we were away with lots of little updates and photos 😊. A lovely, friendly, reliable cat sitter- would highly recommend Gemma to look after your fur babies and will definitely be requesting her again. Thank you very much for looking after our little sassy princess 🐈⬛ 🩷

Sophie is such a brilliant cat sitter. We felt very reassured leaving our 2 young cats for the day with her, and she sent us lots of photos and pictures from her two visits with excellent communication. Our cats really liked Sophie too and we got to enjoy a nice day out without worry. Highly recommend!

Marina was fantastic with my girls. She was patient and kind. I felt so much happier knowing they were being looked after so well and the updates put me at ease! Marina also respected my home and made the entire time so stress free. A fabulous and kind woman!

Ivy absolutely loved Dawn! So much so, I think she wants me to move out and Dawn to take over. Either that or she’s not happy I went away. Dawn kept me fully informed everyday and sent me loads of lovely pictures and videos. All requests followed and Dawn is very thorough on the detail. Ivy seemed very happy and when I got home last night, she hadn’t missed me one tiny bit.

Harriet did a fantastic job looking after our cat, Ali, while we were away for two weeks. Her communication was excellent, and she went the extra mile to keep Ali well-fed, happy, and cared for. We came home to a very content cat, and real peace of mind throughout our holiday. Highly recommend Harriet’s services — we’ll definitely be booking again! 👌

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
