I have grown up with animals since I was very young. We had 3 cats, 4 rabbits, a guinea pig and numerous hamsters and gerbils. We got a Yorkshire Terrier puppy when I was 13. I would walk her, feed her, bathe her and also help with hair cutting and medicine when she reached the later part of her life and sadly passed at the grand age of 18. I have since owned 3 guinea pigs myself. I have looked after friends cats in their homes whilst they were on holiday and also taken care of friends guinea pigs. Over the last three years I have looked after my friends dogs for several weeks at a time when she has been away with work or on holiday. I missed them so much when they were gone that I decided to join Rover so I can look after other peoples pets. When walking dogs, I always check with the owner how long they like to be walked for as every dog is individual due to age and breed and try and take them to different places either by foot or in my car as I believe that a variety of different places for a dog to explore and sniff is more fun for them plus they get to meet different dogs to interact with. I will treat your pets as if they were my own and will fuss and really spoil them. I always ensure they are fed, fresh water given, groomed and any medical issues taken care off and most of all will make sure they feel safe and loved and happy with me. I supply my own toilet bags and have various treats that I have for dogs for good behaviour which I reward them with if the owner is happy with this.

I always like to arrange a meet and greet before both parties accept the booking as I feel it is very important for you and your pets to meet me to see if I am suitable for them and vice versa. I usually arrange this shortly before your booking request. There is never any obligation to book there and then. If visiting your house I will respect your rules and make sure that your pet has fresh food and water and is comfortable and any litter/toilets cleaned up. I am happy to give any medication if needed. I am happy to stay and play or just keep your pet company with lots of strokes. Every client is different so I adapt to what the client requires. I love to take pictures of animals I take care of so will always update you whilst they are in my care. I always complete a Rover Card at the end of each visit as well. I have my own private pet care insurance in addition to Rover’s protection, so you can feel 100% confident that your pet is in safe, reliable hands.

Ivy absolutely loved Dawn! So much so, I think she wants me to move out and Dawn to take over. Either that or she’s not happy I went away. Dawn kept me fully informed everyday and sent me loads of lovely pictures and videos. All requests followed and Dawn is very thorough on the detail. Ivy seemed very happy and when I got home last night, she hadn’t missed me one tiny bit.
Dawn fit me in with short notice and was brilliant as always with Frankie 😊 brightens up his day going on a walk with her! 🐾💙

Schedule
I am at home most of the time during the days of the week so am usually available for walks or drop in’s around my other customer's appointments (currently booked from 11-3 Monday to Thursday). I am often available at weekends but this will be mainly during the normal daytime hours of 8am-5pm though at times I can be flexible if I have no evening plans. I regularly update my Rover diary so it is up to date for any requests.
