Before finding him, I’d contacted more than five pet sitters on Pawshake and Rover, most either never replied, disappeared halfway through the chat, or, in the worst case, one I’d booked and paid for on Rover ( high review ) simply didn’t show up for the meet-and-greet she scheduled herself. No message, no explanation. I quickly realized many sitters treat this as a casual side job, and it really shows. Contacting Theo was my last resort before sending my cats to boarding, which I knew would cause them a lot of stress. Even though he’s based in another city, he responded promptly when I reached out less than two weeks before my trip. The meet-and-greet went smoothly, and his professionalism was clear from the start. I was still a bit skeptical since this was my first time hiring a sitter after so many unreliable experiences, but Theo quickly earned my trust. He was always responsive with messages, sent video updates, and discussed what’s happening with the cats throughout my trip. One of my cats is very sensitive to change, when I tried boarding him before, he stopped eating for a week.....but with Theo’s calm and experienced handling, he started eating normally again within two days, even finishing his bowl (which is rare!). I also asked Theo to take care of my bonsai while I was away, and he did so carefully. He kept the house clean as well, which I really appreciated coming home to after my trip. All in all, I’ll definitely book Theo again in the future. If you’re on the fence, don’t risk it with part-timers, hire a real professional like Theo.”

About: Despite not owning a dog myself, I have often taken care of my dads dog and am experienced in dog walking and sitting her. I always have had a passion for animals of all shapes and sizes and can promise your pets will be loved and taken care of with the upmost respect. I currently don’t work at all but will be returning to university in September so am very flexible for the summer and quite flexible from September onwards! About: I have been caring for pets personally and professionally for over 14 years. I have worked as a cat sitter, caring for cats in their own homes when their families are away, and have been fully trained as a dog walker. I am confident working with dogs of all shapes and sizes and am familiar with young, training puppies, as well as senior pets who require special medications, feeding schedules, or mobility issues. In addition to my professional experience caring for pets, I got my very own first cat, Simon, at the young age of 7. Since then, I have been 'mummy' to 2 other cats and one lovely dog, in addition to being the legal guardian of several furry nieces and nephews whom I've cared for on countless occasions. Pets give me a genuine joy unlike anything else in this world and I love spending and sharing my days with them. Home is the most comfortable place for all of us and when families are away, the consistency of staying at home is important for a pet. I like to be a guest in the pets home, letting the cats take control on social time, and being quick and discreet when picking up a dog for a walk and bringing them home again.

About: Hiya I'm Lucy and I work at a child's adventure farm in which I look after the animals. I have a qualification in animal management level 3. I love all animal very much but especially cats and dogs as they are so cute, fuzzy and have the most unique personality. The pets I have currently is a rabbit and a dog, I have always wanted a cat but can't due to living situation, so I love to spend time with cats when I can. I have had work experience in a cattery and kennels as well as at rspca with both so have had many experiences with different type cats and dogs. Many of my friends and family have cats so I been around them most of my life, in which have cat sit for them many times. Also willing to look after any other small animal pets as I have experience and knowledge on all. I work full time Sunday to Thursday 8am - 6pm. For drop ins morning I can do 6am - 8 depending on location. For night stays I can stay from 6pm - 8am depending on location. On request can stay all day and night. I am happy to provide whatever care you are wanting and needing including water, food, grooming, medication, playing and cuddles. If have any other requests just ask.

Its great to be able to take a break from Uni for a walk or a cuddle! I am currently in Uni as a Vet student, but am available most evenings after Uni or on days with no lectures. I can undertake any specific requirements needed for your own pet, such as administering medication and ensuring the right exercise for their health and needs!

It will be myself taking care of your pet and I can’t wait to meet them :) I work from home and so am home all day and would usually go for the walks in the morning and sometimes the afternoon too, if your pet requires 2 walks, please let me know, I have a fenced off back yard and a lot of space in the house. I can crate your dog if needed (please provide the crate), or he/she can have full roam of the house. My dog gets on very well with other dogs, he is a neutered golden retriever.
