About: My name's Louisa and I adore animals. I've grown up with dogs all my life and dogs have a special place in heart. Just a cuddle with one could make anyone's day. I have three friendly dogs myself, an 18 year old Labrador, a bernese cross aussie mix and a mixed breed rescue that I couldn't live without. I've looked after and cared for dogs all of my life and it's my biggest passion. I couldn't imagine a life not caring for dogs. No matter the size of the dog or age, I'm beyond happy to help look after them for you and I'll walk them no matter the weather. I hope I'm the carer for you. I currently work part time jobs and so have flexibility throughout the week days and weekend. I am available early mornings and late evenings/night time if needed also. I am sure to ask for any requirements the owner or pet may need. I have looked after a multitude of animals, my own and others who require leash only walks, avoiding other animals, medication needs and more. I maintain a clean environment and provide the same love and care no matter the animal.

About: I provide both regular and ad hoc walks and drop ins for dogs and cats, and other pets too. I have experience looking after and walking elderly dogs. I volunteer weekly at a local cat rehoming centre and am experienced with nervous and also elderly cats (my lovely moggie lived to age 20). I am experienced with nervous animals and rescue dogs - I have a retired greyhound myself. I’ve also previously had hamsters and budgies, plus a tortoise so am happy to care for most animals. I don’t charge extra for peak times - my pricing is the same all year round so my fee is the same whenever you book me so there are no surprises. I’m pet first aid trained and I have my own pet sitter insurance (£2,000,000 Public Liability) for your peace of mind (certificates available on request). I also hold an enhanced DBS. I work flexibly from home for a national charity and am trustworthy and reliable. I began pet sitting in 2025 to enjoy time with more animals and love it! It balances very well with my other commitments and has brought me a lot of happiness as I get such lovely welcomes from the regular dogs and cats* I visit. *Cat drop ins are carried out between the hours of 4-8pm rather than a fixed time (unless your cat requires medication at a specific time). I will make sure that I gain your pets trust and understand what they enjoy and need. I will ensure that your pet is fed, toileted and left calm and happy after my visit. I will carry out your exact instructions and provide photos as I understand how nerve racking leaving pets behind can be.

About: We have cared for our rescue dog for 12 years now and have cared for a variety of farm animals on the farm. We have looked after a range of breeds and individual care needs. We enjoy two long walks a day with one longer walk on Hankley Common opposite the farm. We are often working outside on the farm and all enjoy being outside as much as possible with the comforts of the farmhouse together. Stays at the farm are full of fun in our fields and adjoining woodland. With two dogs of our own we understand the importance of a home setting with the unique freedom we can offer of ten acres of fields and twelve acres of woodland to explore together.

About: Although I’m new to Rover, I’ve spent my whole life caring for animals. I’m 18 years old and have just completed my A-levels and am available for pet sitting over the next year before I go to university. I’ve grown up in a home full of dogs, cats and other pets. Over the years, my family has regularly looked after pets for friends, neighbours and relatives, giving me experience with a wide range of animals and personalities. From a young age, I was trusted to take shared responsibility for the dogs staying with us, including feeding, walking, exercising, playing with them and making sure they felt safe and settled while their owners were away. I have experience caring for everything from energetic puppies and kittens to gentle senior dogs who need a little extra patience and care. I’m comfortable looking after breeds of all sizes, from Dachshunds to Basset Hounds and Golden Retrievers. I also have experience caring for guinea pigs, hamsters and fish, so I’m happy to look after smaller pets too if they are part of your family. I enjoy getting to know each pet as an individual and making sure they feel relaxed, happy and well cared for. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a much-loved family member, and I’ll always treat your pets with the same kindness, patience and attention that I would my own. Having just completed my A-levels, I have plenty of availability to provide reliable pet care before I go to university next year. My schedule is very flexible, and I’m happy to work with owners to find times that suit their routine, whether that’s regular visits, occasional check-ins, weekends or holidays. I’ll always do my best to accommodate your pet’s needs while fitting around any other commitments I may have. I understand that pets are happiest when they can stay in their own familiar environment and keep to their usual routine. When caring for your pet in your home, I'll follow your instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication (where appropriate), and any other routines that help your pet feel safe and comfortable. I will treat both your pet and your home with the utmost respect, ensuring everything is left clean, tidy and secure. I'll make sure your pet receives plenty of attention, companionship and care during every visit, and I'm happy to provide updates and photos so you can relax knowing they're happy and well looked after while you're away.

About: I have been walking dogs for neighbours and friends for 10 years. My family also fosters dogs, so I have a wide range of experience with different ages and breads. While I am at uni I would love to help with dog walking in the local area and to be able to enjoy animals while away from home. I have a flexible schedule and can help most days and most times to fit around your own schedule. Any questions please ask! I am available almost everyday except for wednesday afternoons as I am currently in the uni exam period. I am happy to work around any commitments i may have to provide flexible dog walking when needed. I do not offer dog sitting as I am in student accommodation that doesn’t allow it. For dog walking I will keep dogs on leads wherever possible to avoid potential conflict, unless dogs are very well trained and I know they will come back when I call or on command. I keep emergency treats on hand as well and will not hesitate to call should anything arise that I can’t handle alone.

About: I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember and have always loved looking after friends’ dogs from a young age. I’ve had my own dog for over 5 years who’s a cheeky little Pomeranian who has epilepsy, which has taught me just how important routine, patience, and being really attentive are when caring for dogs. I also worked in a dog sanctuary in Koh Samui Thailand last year walking and loving some of the pups there which was an amazing experience. I also regularly look after my boyfriend’s and all my friends dogs and genuinely love spending time with them, whether that’s going out for walks, playtime, feeding, or sticking to their usual routines. I’m comfortable with different sizes, energy levels, and personalities from energetic adventurers to dogs who prefer a slower, more relaxed stroll and i’ve looked after all types previously. I always make sure every dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for, and I truly treat each one as if they were my own! I am available all day on most dates marked as available in my calendar. I keep my availability updated regularly, so if a day shows as free, I can usually be flexible with timings. Please feel free to get in touch if you have specific requirements and I’ll do my best to accommodate them. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed in my care. I’m very respectful of routines and will follow all instructions closely, whether that’s feeding times, walking routes, or any specific needs your pet may have. I’m calm, attentive, and always keep a close eye on behaviour and wellbeing. When caring for pets in their own home, I treat it with the same respect I would my own, making sure everything is left tidy and secure. I’m also happy to send regular photo and message updates so you can feel totally at ease knowing your pet is happy and well looked after.

About: Hi, I’m Hebron, and if you’re looking for a reliable, experienced, and active pet sitter, you’ve come to the right place. I’ve spent over 30 years working with animals. My journey began in Jamaica when I started working weekends as a veterinary assistant at just 15 years old. After leaving school, I worked at a zoo for two consecutive summer seasons before becoming a full-time veterinary assistant. From 2000 to 2003, I studied for my Associate of Science in Agricultural Science, where I developed a strong foundation in animal husbandry, welfare, and animal science. After graduating, I moved to the UK in 2003 and began working as an Animal Care Technician. While working full-time, I continued my education and earned a degree in Zoology between 2005 and 2008, combining university study with hands-on animal care. I continued working as an Animal Care Technician until earlier this year, gaining decades of professional experience caring for animals. In 2023, while living in Glasgow, I took a break from laboratory animal care and spent much of my time dog sitting and house sitting. It reminded me how rewarding it is to care for pets in their own homes and to build trusting relationships with both owners and their animals. Today, I’m based in Godalming, Surrey, where I work part-time as a personal trainer. This gives me the flexibility, time, and energy to offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting. Whether your dog enjoys long, active walks or prefers a slower pace, I’m confident caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I also know what it’s like to trust someone with a much-loved pet. My own dog, Ellie, was part of my family for many years, so I understand how important it is to keep pets safe, happy, and comfortable while their owners are away. If you’d like to know more, I’d be delighted to arrange a meet and greet. I’d love the opportunity to get to know you and your pet before your booking. I am currently working as an Online personal trainer so I can travel to your home if you need your dog to be looked after in your home. Please be aware that I also have a dog called Ellie. Ellie is ok with other dogs and cats too. Please send a message to any of my testimonials if you are in need of this confirmation. Thank you :) I have a pet-safe-friendly home. I live alone with my dog Ellie in a ground-floor flat that is located away from the main road. Lots of grassy play areas are located directly outside the building I reside. There is a park nearby that I sometimes take my dog to and a Large public park about 10 minutes away.

Lauren took such great care of Boris while we were away. He was upset at being left for so long, but Lauren was wonderfully patient with him. She kept me updated daily with photos and messages, and she always cleaned up after him when he sprayed, even using calming spray to help him feel more comfortable. It gave me real peace of mind knowing she was there for him. I’m so grateful for her care and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a kind and reliable sitter.

There are 2,601 sitters on Rover for Cat Sitting in Waverley. About 91% of Waverley sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
