About: I live in Witley with my beautiful greyhound. I can provide both regular and ad hoc walks and drop ins for dogs and cats. I have experience of looking after and walking elderly dogs. I have cat care experience including of elderly cats (my lovely moggie lived to age 20). I am experienced with nervous animals. I don’t charge extra for peak times - my pricing is the same all year round so my fee is the same whenever you book me. I’m pet first aid trained and I have pet sitter insurance (£2,000,000 Public Liability) for your peace of mind (certificates available on request). I work flexibly from home for a national charity and am trustworthy and reliable. I began pet sitting in 2025 to enjoy time with more animals and love it! I also enjoy pet care as it gets me out of the house and gives me a bit of variety in my day. It balances very well with my other commitments and has brought me a lot of happiness as I get such lovely welcomes from the regular dogs and *cats I visit. *Cat drop ins are carried out between the hours of 5-8pm rather than a fixed time (unless your cat requires medication at a specific time) I will make sure that I gain your pets trust and understand what they enjoy and need. I will ensure that your pet is fed, toileted and left calm and happy after my visit. I will carry out your exact instructions and provide photos as I understand how nerve racking leaving pets behind can be.
About: I have been an experienced volunteer dog walker with The Cinnamon Trust for nearly 15 years and during that time have had long-term commitments with five local dogs and their owners, walking most weekends and some evenings. I also regularly dog-sit for my family and friends with a variety of different breeds and ages, including puppies. I also currently have two rescue cats and have experience in administering medication and grooming long hair. Over the years I have had many cats, including kittens and the most I have looked after at one time is three. I regularly look after our neighbour's house while they are away. I am also a homeowner so would take the responsibility of looking after someone else's home very seriously, including jobs that need doing like watering plants, taking out the bins and tidying up after myself. I don't have any children so have limited regular weekend commitments and can be flexible during the week as I work from home a few days a week. I have my own car. I would want your pet(s) to feel as happy and comfortable as possible while I'm with them so would only accept a booking if I could ensure that I can keep to their routine and carry out the owner's wishes fully. I cannot have pets at my home as my two cats would not take kindly to any visitors but am happy to stay over in a pet owner's home, carry out drop-ins and do as many dog walks as needed in terms of frequency and length - I know the local area very well and really enjoy getting out in nature with a four-legged friend!
About: Although I’m new to Rover, I’ve spent my whole life caring for animals. I’m 18 years old and have just completed my A-levels and am available for pet sitting over the next year before I go to university. I’ve grown up in a home full of dogs, cats and other pets. Over the years, my family has regularly looked after pets for friends, neighbours and relatives, giving me experience with a wide range of animals and personalities. From a young age, I was trusted to take shared responsibility for the dogs staying with us, including feeding, walking, exercising, playing with them and making sure they felt safe and settled while their owners were away. I have experience caring for everything from energetic puppies and kittens to gentle senior dogs who need a little extra patience and care. I’m comfortable looking after breeds of all sizes, from Dachshunds to Basset Hounds and Golden Retrievers. I also have experience caring for guinea pigs, hamsters and fish, so I’m happy to look after smaller pets too if they are part of your family. I enjoy getting to know each pet as an individual and making sure they feel relaxed, happy and well cared for. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a much-loved family member, and I’ll always treat your pets with the same kindness, patience and attention that I would my own. Having just completed my A-levels, I have plenty of availability to provide reliable pet care before I go to university next year. My schedule is very flexible, and I’m happy to work with owners to find times that suit their routine, whether that’s regular visits, occasional check-ins, weekends or holidays. I’ll always do my best to accommodate your pet’s needs while fitting around any other commitments I may have. I understand that pets are happiest when they can stay in their own familiar environment and keep to their usual routine. When caring for your pet in your home, I'll follow your instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication (where appropriate), and any other routines that help your pet feel safe and comfortable. I will treat both your pet and your home with the utmost respect, ensuring everything is left clean, tidy and secure. I'll make sure your pet receives plenty of attention, companionship and care during every visit, and I'm happy to provide updates and photos so you can relax knowing they're happy and well looked after while you're away.
About: We have cared for our rescue dog for 12 years now and have cared for a variety of farm animals on the farm. We have looked after a range of breeds and individual care needs. We enjoy two long walks a day with one longer walk on Hankley Common opposite the farm. We are often working outside on the farm and all enjoy being outside as much as possible with the comforts of the farmhouse together. Stays at the farm are full of fun in our fields and adjoining woodland. With two dogs of our own we understand the importance of a home setting with the unique freedom we can offer of ten acres of fields and twelve acres of woodland to explore together.
“Louise is an absolute gem. She looked after our house rabbit Perry and was so flexible when our travel plans kept changing. She came for a intro prior to booking so I felt at ease. Louise shared some fab photos and we returned home to a very happy healthy boy. Would have her back in a heartbeat!”

“Astrid is very reliable and caring. She sent me photos and videos regularly, along with brief updates on how my dog was doing, so I never had to worry. One of the videos showed them playing ball, and I could see how relaxed and happy my dog was, truly enjoying her company. My dog can be a bit nervous, but he trusted Astrid quickly, which made me feel completely at ease. I was able to enjoy my holiday totally relaxed, knowing Astrid was taking great care of my dog. Highly recommended!”

About: I have been walking dogs for neighbours and friends for 10 years. My family also fosters dogs, so I have a wide range of experience with different ages and breads. While I am at uni I would love to help with dog walking in the local area and to be able to enjoy animals while away from home. I have a flexible schedule and can help most days and most times to fit around your own schedule. Any questions please ask! I am available almost everyday except for wednesday afternoons as I am currently in the uni exam period. I am happy to work around any commitments i may have to provide flexible dog walking when needed. I do not offer dog sitting as I am in student accommodation that doesn’t allow it. For dog walking I will keep dogs on leads wherever possible to avoid potential conflict, unless dogs are very well trained and I know they will come back when I call or on command. I keep emergency treats on hand as well and will not hesitate to call should anything arise that I can’t handle alone.

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a pet-loving home taught me early on how to care for a wide range of animals with patience, love, and attention to detail. I’ve had the joy of sharing my life with both cats and dogs - including Tabbies, Maine Coons, Labradors, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, and Spaniels - giving me a strong foundation in understanding different temperaments, energy levels, and care needs. Whether it’s energetic walks, playtime, cuddle sessions, or simply making sure your pet feels safe and loved while you’re away, I bring a lifetime of hands-on experience and genuine care to every animal I look after. I know how important your pets are to you - because mine mean the world to me too! I first joined Rover during a career break, but house sitting and drop-in visits / walks have always been a part of my life alongside my professional career in financial services. I’ve recently returned to the industry in a fully remote role, which gives me the flexibility to always be present for the care of your pets. When caring for animals in someone else’s home, I understand the deep level of trust that’s involved - not just with your pet, but with your personal space too. I treat every home with the utmost respect and ensure a calm, secure, and familiar environment for your pet to feel comfortable while you’re away. Your pet’s wellbeing is always my top priority. From sticking to their usual routines to providing plenty of love, play, and attention, I work to create an stress-free experience for both you and your pet. Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Waverley
Lauren took such great care of Boris while we were away. He was upset at being left for so long, but Lauren was wonderfully patient with him. She kept me updated daily with photos and messages, and she always cleaned up after him when he sprayed, even using calming spray to help him feel more comfortable. It gave me real peace of mind knowing she was there for him. I’m so grateful for her care and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a kind and reliable sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
