We met Kelly today at our house for a "meet and greet" for our pup, Cody. Not only was Kelly so incredibly sweet but we could instantly tell she was a hit with Cody and he really took to her. Kelly is clearly very experienced and in tune with the dogs in her care and we are looking forward to using her services for Cody in the future.

About: I’m a caring, reliable and friendly pet sitter based in Zebon Copse, Fleet. I’ve grown up around animals and have experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, chickens and small animals. I’m confident following individual routines, feeding schedules and care instructions, and I enjoy giving pets plenty of attention, exercise and company. I offer local dog walks and drop-in visits and will always treat your pet as an individual, taking the time to understand their personality, routine and needs. Pet care fits well around my weekly routine and I have regular weekday availability for dog walks and drop-in visits. I’m particularly available during the daytime, with additional flexibility on certain afternoons. I’m happy to discuss regular weekly bookings as well as one-off care, depending on your pet’s needs and my availability. I care for pets in their own home and local area, always following their usual routine and their owner’s instructions. For drop-in visits, this can include feeding, fresh water, toilet breaks, playtime and plenty of attention. For dog walks, I follow your preferred walking routine and keep dogs safely on lead unless specifically agreed otherwise. I treat every home with respect and provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while your pet is in my care.

I'm very happy that I found Sarah, and she had time to visit Zosia last minute 🥰 We were going on short holidays and felt relieved when she was taking care of our Zozo. Our cat really liked her company and it was nice to see kitty's happy face on daily photos that Sarah sent. Would definitely recommend and will book in the future 😊

Bertie is a typical working cocker spaniel, 14 months old and full of beans. Jessica was unfazed by his bouncy, over exuberant behaviour and her experience with spaniels shone through. She was polite, punctual and Bertie loved her! All in all a very positive experience with the drop in service Jessica provided for us and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jessica going forwards.

Melanie was absolutely lovely, really friendly and bubbly, came every day to spend time with our little girl and sent us a few pictures each time. When Sowwah wasn’t feeding well she also mentioned it to us so we would be aware. I’d definitely recommend Melanie as a great cat sitter!!

About: I am a 70yrs young retired fit gentleman looking to fill spare time looking after pets which is something I love to do. We have had pets all our married life (44yrs) including many cats (4 together at one point), bearded dragon, guinea pig and mice, dealing with day to day cat trays and vet visits and giving medication. Over the past 3 yrs I have helped with looking after and training my son’s dog. Including house sitting while away on holidays. Additionally, their cat and 2 rabbits. I have also looked after neighbours pets including tortoises, fish and cats. I am confident that I could help train dogs in respect of walking if required. I am retired and live with my wife (Susan Stone)and we have a flexible schedule. Finding ourselves with free time we thought it would good to care for pets which is something we like to do. Our schedule is flexible as we both drive and are available. I am happy to follow instructions for your pet and any schedule they are used to in your own home and also happy to give them attention and cuddles when needed.

About: I've looked after a multitude of different pets in my lifetime. Starting with the neighbour's cat Domino when I was 11. I've looked after many different breeds of dogs from a little Papillon to a very big German Shepherd. I've looked after puppies and senior dogs so am confident in catering to their needs. The same can be said for cats. I'm confident with kittens and older cats. I've personally had cats and dogs all of my life so am very confident in their care and will look after your fur babies with as much love as I would my own. I've also had a Russian Dwarf hamster, a Syrian hamster, a house rabbit, 4 rats, goldfish and even stick insects! I've looked after ferrets, a snake, gerbils, tropical fish and giant African land snails, so I'm confident with all pets! I'm fully insured, dbs checked and pet first aid and CPR trained. I also have a certificate in animal psychology and one in small and exotic animal care. Pet sitting is my only job so I pride myself on being super flexible. My children are all older now. One is away at university, one is about to start college and my youngest is just going into year 9 so they're less dependent on me now. I share school runs with my husband and I take my youngest to football training and matches three times a week which is really my only regular commitment. I'm fully insured and dbs checked. I take your pets safety incredibly seriously and will stick to any guidelines you give me whilst caring for them. For dog walks away from the area surrounding your home, I have a reinforced, crash tested crate in my car, with a sturdy ramp for them to get in and out. I keep spare slip leads on me incase of emergencies, and I carry a pet first aid kit with me too.

Eleanor was a fantastic sitter to Eevee while we were away. As a first time Rover user I knew choosing the right sitter would be important as Eevee has her own special quirks and being a deaf cat, can find interactions with new people challenging. However as soon as we met Eleanor I knew that Eevee was in safe and very capable hands. She was looked after with care, attention and I could tell that she also felt loved by Eleanor. I know in the future that we can rely on Eleanor for other occasions we require a sitter, and to return to a happy cat shows what care she takes to provide an amazing service. Thank you so much from both Eevee and I :)

About: We have had Jet our Weimaraner for 6 years and know the importance of having a safe and secure boarding home when away. I’ve had Jet since she was a puppy and Dan has had dogs all of his life. I’ve also looked after multiple dogs for my friends ranging from terriers through to German Shepherds and Pointers. Jet loves having extra friends to play with and we want to be able to give back to the Rover community who have been great for us. Your pup will be treated like one of our own during their stay. Dan works in a shift pattern and I’m home every weekend therefore we will be in all day during their stay. We offer long countryside walks, lots of cuddles and daily updates. Your pup will be kept company by Jet and will have a fenced garden to play in when it’s sunny and a sofa to snuggle on when it’s rainy and when not out on walks. We have a crate available if that is needed for any continuity of training.

About: Since i was a baby I've grown up around many different kinds of animals, as well as being raised in a 4 cat, 1 dog household until i was 15. I dealt with high energy pets. I was also often left in charge of my cousins cocker spaniel, for long periods of time, where my requirements were to walk, feed a special diet, and play with for multiple hours in a day, sometimes more than a few days back to back. Over time i learned to adjust my care to suit my pets ages, my Yorkshire terrier has had asthma and a collapsed trachea for most of her life, i understand how to care for a dog with health issues along with cats, my senior 18 year old Bengal has many of her own health issues and needs special accommodation for her separation anxiety and dietary requirements. I am well versed on giving medications in various forms, and I'm not afraid to provide these to bigger dogs. Along with this, i have previously helped my own sister with her professional dog sitting for the past year when she's needed extra support for bigger dogs or fuller households, though i am able to manage this task on my own too. I currently don't work, so my schedule is completely open, and I'm more than happy to dedicate as much time as you need to accommodate your pets! Anything that may take a lot of time in a week is the perfect fit for me, i love spending time getting to know and understand your animals. I have a very private garden that backs onto other gardens, separated by a fence, and fitted for all dogs. I have fake grass which highly reduces the chance of ticks especially at this time of year, and it is located in a quiet neighborhood with no noisy traffic or noise during the day or especially at night. I have a larger open house, big enough for larger dogs to roam around and explore! My neighborhood is quiet and rather large, with many various places to walk dogs.

We booked 2 home visits with Michael for an afternoon and evening visit. We are beyond grateful to have found Michael - we were looking very last-minute and yet Michael made it possible - and even made sure to meet Nelson (and us) beforehand which really put our minds at ease. It was the first time that Nelson was home alone for an extended period of time, and Michael helped it be a huge success. Nelson seemed calm and content whenever we checked in in between Michael's visits, and the feedback and photos Michael sent us after the visits confirmed this also. We are genuinely beyond grateful and felt that Nelson was in capable hands during the visits. I am sure Nelson can't wait to be left home alone again so that he can see Michael again! :) Thank you, Michael!

We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter than Catherine! From the moment she stepped through the door, she had the gentlest, most welcoming energy—and our pets felt it right away. Our two Birmans, Cosmo and Khaos, can be a little shy with new people, but Catherine’s calm, affectionate manner won them over instantly. Cosmo, who doesn’t warm up quickly, was in her arms cuddling and giving kisses like she’d known her forever! Gypsy, our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, also loved her. Catherine went above and beyond during her visit—she sent us plenty of updates, photos, and videos (which we loved!), and it was clear she genuinely enjoyed being with the pets. She took the time to play with them, get down to their level, and offer them proper affection and attention—not just care, but real companionship. It’s such a relief knowing we’ve found someone we can completely trust with our little family. Catherine is not only responsible and reliable, but truly kind and intuitive with animals. We’ll absolutely be booking her again, and we feel so lucky to have found her. Highly recommend!

About: I started dog walking as a teenager and have always grown up around pets. I am now a cat-dad to two British Shorthairs. I love meeting all animals and can't wait to meet your pets! I am an insured pet sitter. I am fully self-employed and work remotely from home so I am often available at short notice. My wife is able to look after our own cats should I be needed to house sit for long periods of time for your pets. I appreciate very clear instructions. I always prefer to err on the side of caution and will take safety extremely seriously. I am happy to do meet & greets if it means getting the chance to have a thorough understanding of your pet's specific needs.

About: Anyone who knows me would vouch for my passion for all animals. My family has had cats since I was born, and we got our first dog nearly 15 years ago, who was my absolute world. Unfortunately, we lost her at the end of 2024, but we cherish the memories dearly. As soon as I was able to, I have independently walked/trained/cared for my pets and take any opportunity to care for any other animals! I have a fair few regular pet sits, including two young dogs and a cat in their own home, where I quickly managed to befriend a nervous little cat who is now very friendly with me - which I think was a shock to the owners! I have another regular dog, where I stay at their home whilst they are on holiday, as well as several regular weekly bookings with different dogs. I also have experience looking after high-energy puppies/breeds, larger dogs and managing up to 3 dogs in a home or on walks at once. I volunteer at my local wildlife rescue charity, where I health-check and clean out anything from hedgehogs to pigeons! My love for animals extends into my career aspirations, as I want to go into the environment and sustainability sector. I will always go above and beyond to make sure animals feel safe and comfortable and will often put their needs above my own. I am a postgraduate, with a fairly flexible schedule. I try to update my calendar as much as possible to reflect this; however, given the nature of this job, it can be last-minute, so it is not always possible. I do try to get back to everyone and give a reason if I am not able to accommodate for whatever reason. I am happy to accommodate to instructions provided to ensure you and your pet feel comfortable with my care. I can maintain a clean and organised environment and would communicate transparently for your peace of mind.

Kim was an absolutely fantastic cat sitter for our two girls, Olive & Ivy. She took such thoughtful, genuine care of them during our holiday. It was so lovely and reassuring to receive daily report cards and photos as it enabled us to relax and enjoy our time away knowing our girls were in great hands. Both our girls loved having her look after them, even our shy girl Olive took to Kim so well. It was clear they felt comfortable and relaxed and it was lovely to come home to happy girls. Kim is reliable, kind and truly brilliant with cat care. We couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend anyone looking for someone who they can trust to look after their cat(s) and leave a home spotless too. Will definitely be booking Kim again in the future. Thanks so much Kim, and we are truly grateful!

Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
