“Eleanor did just over a week of daily drop-in visits for my 19 year-old cat. He was very well cared for and I was sent daily photos of him - very reassuring. I'm very happy to recommend Eleanor's pet serivices, and will definitely be asking her to help me out again.”

“Grant was fantastic. He was reliable, kept in regular contact with us, and sent photos of the cats while we were away. It gave us real peace of mind knowing they were being well looked after. He also went the extra mile by checking on the property, picking up post from the floor, and bringing parcels inside. We couldn’t have asked for better care.”

“Michael was great! He came over for a meet and great and copper took to him straight away. On the day Michael sent us loads of pictures and played and fed cooper as we requested. Will definitely ask Michael to look after him again”

“Melanie was absolutely lovely, really friendly and bubbly, came every day to spend time with our little girl and sent us a few pictures each time. When Sowwah wasn’t feeding well she also mentioned it to us so we would be aware. I’d definitely recommend Melanie as a great cat sitter!!”

“Lucy was excellent for our cat whilst we were away. Communicated with us each time she dropped in with how they were getting on and always sent photos. A really easy experience and meant we could enjoy our holiday without worrying about our cat at home. Would recommend Lucy to anyone wanting their pets looked after and will look to book again 😄”

“I'm very happy that I found Sarah, and she had time to visit Zosia last minute 🥰 We were going on short holidays and felt relieved when she was taking care of our Zozo. Our cat really liked her company and it was nice to see kitty's happy face on daily photos that Sarah sent. Would definitely recommend and will book in the future 😊”

About: We have had Jet our Weimaraner for 6 years and know the importance of having a safe and secure boarding home when away. I’ve had Jet since she was a puppy and Dan has had dogs all of his life. I’ve also looked after multiple dogs for my friends ranging from terriers through to German Shepherds and Pointers. Jet loves having extra friends to play with and we want to be able to give back to the Rover community who have been great for us. Your pup will be treated like one of our own during their stay. Dan works in a shift pattern and I’m home every weekend therefore we will be in all day during their stay. We offer long countryside walks, lots of cuddles and daily updates. Your pup will be kept company by Jet and will have a fenced garden to play in when it’s sunny and a sofa to snuggle on when it’s rainy and when not out on walks. We have a crate available if that is needed for any continuity of training.

About: Hi, I'm Kelly! I work from home full-time and provide loving, reliable pet care tailored to your dog's individual needs. Whether you're looking for boarding, doggy day care, house sitting, dog walking or drop-in visits, your pet will be treated like one of the family. I live with my partner Nikolai who also helps walk and take care of our visitors. I have a secure garden and a friendly resident dog, Mabel, who loves making new friends and is a wonderful companion for sociable dogs. However, I understand that not every dog enjoys the company of others. If your dog prefers their own space, I'm happy to accommodate this with separate walks, individual care and house sitting, ensuring they feel comfortable, relaxed and receive my full attention. I only care for a small number of dogs at a time, so every guest receives plenty of one-to-one attention, regular walks, playtime, cuddles and companionship in a calm, loving home. I've had dogs, cats and horses all my life and have experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes and personalities. Friends, neighbours and family have regularly relied on me to feed, walk, play with and look after their pets while away. I'm patient, trustworthy, flexible and genuinely love animals, making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable and well cared for. Whether it's an energetic puppy, a senior dog who enjoys a slower pace, or a pet with a specific routine, I'll always follow your instructions carefully. I'll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe and receiving the same love and attention they'd get at home. I work from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility and time to care for pets throughout the day. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine and I’m happy to offer walks, drop-ins, play dates and plenty of companionship and attention. I’ve had animals all my life and genuinely enjoy spending time with them, making sure they feel comfortable, loved and well cared for. I’m also always ready for a doggy cappuccino treat and cuddle break! I provide a calm, safe and loving environment where pets are treated like family. I understand how important trust is when leaving your pets in someone else’s care and always make sure they feel comfortable, secure and well looked after. I follow owners’ routines carefully, including feeding, walking and medication instructions, and I’m happy to give regular updates and photos for peace of mind.

About: Hello! My name is Louise and I am animal obsessed and have been for my entire life. I have pet sat since early teens and have 3 separate animal based qualifications. I am currently running a small educational animal sanctuary and a dog grooming parlour. I also compete at flyball with our own dogs. I have years of experience working with animals doing things such as pet sitting, walking and training among many other things. We have 3 children who also adore animals and are turing into great little helpers and trainers in their own right. Animals in our care are looked after as our own and really become part of the family. We love taking any dogs in our care with us on day trips and some even enjoy coming camping with us in the caravan when we go to dog events. A little holiday of their own! Most of the income we make from pet sitting goes straight back into our animal sanctuary to help us care for our rescues, so its all for a good cause! Your dog will become part of the family, joining us for animal sanctuary duties, dog walks, going to the grooming room and more. They can join us at flyball in the caravan where they will be utterly spoilt. We are happy to care for a wide range of animals and have knowledge from dogs to guineapigs, to parrots and snakes we do it all. We work with the animals and their personalities having cared for very nervous and reactive dogs to the cuddliest rabbits you have ever met. We work with them all and my knowledge and qualifications in animal behaviour are invaluable!

About: I have had cats for my whole life (all 56 years of it) and just love them! I currently have a rescue cat who is 12 years. I am reliable and trustworthy and will keep you updated and ensure your pets is well looked after whilst you are away!

Over the past 3 yrs I have helped with looking after and training my son’s dog. Including house sitting while away on holidays. Additionally, their cat and 2 rabbits. I have also looked after neighbours pets including tortoises, fish and cats. I am confident that I could help train dogs in respect of walking if required. About: Anyone who knows me would vouch for my passion for all animals. My family has had cats since I was born and we got our first dog nearly 15 years ago who was my absolute world. Unfortunately we lost her at the end of 2024, but we cherish the memories dearly. As soon as I was able to, I have independently walked / trained / cared for my pets and take any opportunity to care for any other animals! My neighbours have trusted me to look after their pets whilst on holiday and I have a regular pet sit (two young dogs and a cat in their own home) where I quickly managed to befriend a nervous little cat who is very friendly with me, which I think was a shock to the owners! I have another regular dog, where I stay at their home whilst they are on holiday as well as a regular Tuesday and Thursday booking with different dogs. I also have experience looking after high energy puppies and larger dogs like border collies and labradors. I volunteer at my local wildlife rescue charity, where I health check and clean out anything from hedgehogs to pigeons! My love for animals extends into my career aspirations, as I want to go into the environment and sustainability sector. I will always go above and beyond to make sure animals feel safe and comfortable and will often put their needs above my own. I am doing a masters degree at the moment, so have some flexibility, I try to update my calendar as much as possible to reflect this. I am happy to accommodate to instructions provided to ensure you and your pet feel comfortable with my care. I can maintain a clean and organised environment and would communicate transparently for your peace of mind.

A lovely and highly professional cat sitter. She kept me updated after every visit with messages and photos of how my boy was doing, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. Knowing he was being cared for by someone so reliable and attentive made all the difference. I would highly recommend her services.

I'm very happy that I found Sarah, and she had time to visit Zosia last minute 🥰 We were going on short holidays and felt relieved when she was taking care of our Zozo. Our cat really liked her company and it was nice to see kitty's happy face on daily photos that Sarah sent. Would definitely recommend and will book in the future 😊

Louise is awesome. From my initial enquiry through to the final feeding visit, Louise kept in contact, kept me up to date and made sure she had all the information she needed. More importantly, Chester and Captain appear to approve 😁. Louise clearly has a love for animals and that's been demonstrated by two happy pets. Thank you ☺️

Lucy was excellent for our cat whilst we were away. Communicated with us each time she dropped in with how they were getting on and always sent photos. A really easy experience and meant we could enjoy our holiday without worrying about our cat at home. Would recommend Lucy to anyone wanting their pets looked after and will look to book again 😄

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
