Thanks so much Andy, we'll definitely be back in touch!”

Thanks!”

About: Hello! I’m a passionate dog lover who understands just how much our pets mean to us. Last year I sadly lost my beloved Cane Corso, who was a huge part of our family. While I’m not quite ready to welcome another dog permanently just yet, I would love the opportunity to care for and spend time with other dogs until the time feels right to rescue again. I have experience caring for large breeds as well as dogs with different personalities and needs. I know how important it is to leave your dog with someone who will treat them as if they were their own, and that’s exactly the level of care and attention I provide. I live in a loving family home with my 2-year-old son, who has grown up around dogs and is extremely dog-savvy, gentle, and respectful of animals. For everyone’s safety and comfort, I do ask that any dogs staying with us have had some previous positive interaction with children and are comfortable being around them. We enjoy long dog walks in the woods on a weekend together. I am happy to follow your dog’s usual routine, whether that involves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the sofa, medication, or simply lots of companionship. I understand that every dog is different and will always take the time to learn about their individual needs and preferences. For the health and wellbeing of all pets in my care, I only accept vaccinated dogs. I am also happy to provide regular updates and photos throughout your dog’s stay so you can relax knowing they are safe, happy, and well looked after. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I am a stay-at-home mum, which means I am home for the majority of the day and can provide plenty of company, supervision, and attention to the dogs in my care. Most of our days are spent at home or in the garden, giving dogs lots of opportunities to play, relax, and be part of family life. My son and I attend a class on Monday mornings and another on Saturday mornings, but we are rarely away from home for more than an hour at a time. Outside of that, we spend most of our time at home. If we do pop out for a coffee, walk, or family outing, I am happy to bring dogs along where appropriate and if they enjoy being out and about. This means your dog will receive lots of companionship throughout the day and will never be left alone for extended periods. I provide a safe, loving family environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. Our home has a secure enclosed garden, and dogs will have access to plenty of supervised playtime, exercise, rest, and affection throughout the day. Having previously owned a Cane Corso, I am experienced with large breeds and understand the importance of routine, consistency, and positive handling. Following the loss of my beloved dog, I have chosen to open my home to other dogs while I take time before rescuing again. I have a gentle and dog-savvy 2-year-old son who has grown up around dogs and understands how to interact with them respectfully. For this reason, I ask that dogs staying with us have had some previous positive experience with children and are comfortable in a family home environment. I only accept vaccinated dogs and will always follow owners’ instructions regarding feeding, exercise, medication, sleeping arrangements, and any special requirements. I am also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can enjoy peace of mind while your dog is in my care.

I felt completely at ease and was able to relax while travelling, knowing Rosie was in such safe and caring hands. About: My lovely cat Boo Boo lived until she was 20 and was the centre of my world. She was a nervous rescue who came to me as a kitten . As she got older she had several health conditions which I learnt to manage. I now have a dog and so no cats but am looking to get my cat fix !

“Beatrice took wonderful care of our cats Pedro and Pumpkin during our time away recently! She also was kind enough to check in on our hamsters, who joined the family very shortly during our break away. I couldn’t recommend Beatrice more! She was reliable, communicative and very flexible. She treated our fur babies as if they were her own which was demonstrated in all the lovely photos she took of them whilst sending us daily updates. She also went above and beyond in taking the bins out and hoovering the floors prior to leaving. Thank you so much Bea, it was great to know that they were in such good hands. We look forward to you caring for them again next week! :)”

About: I have been an experienced volunteer dog walker with The Cinnamon Trust for nearly 15 years and during that time have had long-term commitments with five local dogs and their owners, walking most weekends and some evenings. I also regularly dog-sit for my family and friends with a variety of different breeds and ages, including puppies. I also currently have two rescue cats and have experience in administering medication and grooming long hair. Over the years I have had many cats, including kittens and the most I have looked after at one time is three. I regularly look after our neighbour's house while they are away. I am also a homeowner so would take the responsibility of looking after someone else's home very seriously, including jobs that need doing like watering plants, taking out the bins and tidying up after myself. I don't have any children so have limited regular weekend commitments and can be flexible during the week as I work from home a few days a week. I have my own car. I would want your pet(s) to feel as happy and comfortable as possible while I'm with them so would only accept a booking if I could ensure that I can keep to their routine and carry out the owner's wishes fully. I cannot have pets at my home as my two cats would not take kindly to any visitors but am happy to stay over in a pet owner's home, carry out drop-ins and do as many dog walks as needed in terms of frequency and length - I know the local area very well and really enjoy getting out in nature with a four-legged friend!

About: I have owned cats since age 4 and still look after them for friends, family and others to this day. I have owned indoor cats and understand any specific requirements necessary for each individual cat. Always happy to provide lots of cuddles and play time.

“Great cat sit from Emma - she was great at communicating beforehand and came round to meet Twiglet, as well as provided lots of updates with pictures and videos at each visit so we knew Twiglet was safe and happy. We would definitely recommend Emma and would be more than happy to use her cat sitting services again in the future ☺️”

About: I've had cats since I was about 6 years old! Sadly didn't have a cat as a young adult as I travelled a lot but have now been lucky enough to get cats back in my life. My household includes 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 pet rats, fish and hens and I am also a KC approved dog breeder so I have puppies occasionally too!

About: I’ve grown up in a home with cats. I have experience caring for both playful kittens and older cats who need a gentler, calmer approach. I’m confident with feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter trays, grooming where appropriate, playing with cats and, most importantly, allowing them to interact at their own pace. I understand that every cat has a different personality, some love attention, while others simply appreciate a calm, reassuring presence. I’m patient, observant and always take the time to make sure cats feel safe, relaxed and comfortable in their own home. I know how important it is to keep their routines consistent while their owners are away, and I’ll always care for your cat with the same kindness, respect and attention that I would my own.
About: I have been walking dogs for neighbours and friends for 10 years. My family also fosters dogs, so I have a wide range of experience with different ages and breads. While I am at uni I would love to help with dog walking in the local area and to be able to enjoy animals while away from home. I have a flexible schedule and can help most days and most times to fit around your own schedule. Any questions please ask! I am available almost everyday except for wednesday afternoons as I am currently in the uni exam period. I am happy to work around any commitments i may have to provide flexible dog walking when needed. I do not offer dog sitting as I am in student accommodation that doesn’t allow it. For dog walking I will keep dogs on leads wherever possible to avoid potential conflict, unless dogs are very well trained and I know they will come back when I call or on command. I keep emergency treats on hand as well and will not hesitate to call should anything arise that I can’t handle alone.

“Sarah has been fantastic from start to finish. She came round to meet us, Georgie the cat and see the house. Easy communication before, during and after the house sit. Sarah kindly sent us photos and updates on Georgie, whilst dealing with a challenging heatwave! Georgie is looking forward to spending Christmas with Sarah. 🐾”

“Yuxi was wonderful with my cat Prince, she took such attentive care of him and kept me updated day-to-day with lots of photos. She even watered my greenhouse plants which was very helpful. I’m very grateful to have found Yuxi, and highly recommend her! Thank you from us, Yuxi! 💕👩🏻🦱🐈”

“We were very happy with Megan's drop ins visits to look after our cat. She is very reliable and responsible, easy to communicate with. It has been a pleasure dealing with her. She is friendly and caring. We appreciated her daily updates and photos of Casper. We would have no hesitation in recommending her.”

“Astrid was excellent in every way. She listened to everything I asked her to do and carried out the tasks as requested. Everything was spotlessley clean and tidy when I got home. She asked me about Maisie’s routine and her likes and dislikes. I would highly recommend Astrid and know that Maisie couldn’t be cared for by anybody batter.”

“Louise is an absolute gem. She looked after our house rabbit Perry and was so flexible when our travel plans kept changing. She came for a intro prior to booking so I felt at ease. Louise shared some fab photos and we returned home to a very happy healthy boy. Would have her back in a heartbeat!”

“Terence is evidently a professional, experienced dog handler and I had every confidence that he would care for our busy Parson Jack Russell for the day last week. He kindly accepted my booking at very short notice which was particularly appreciated. Rural location. Would highly recommend.”

About: We have a 1.5 year old dog who would love some doggy company, he is a well trained and very friendly cocker spaniel called Gus Between myself and Jack there is always someone at home as we both have flexible working arrangements. We take Gus out for two walks a day and have a garden too, so having another dog would slot in well to our routine. We have a fenced garden which is perfect for outside playing - it is secure with part patio, part grass. Indoors we have a stair gate to block off the upstairs but are happy for the dogs to be anywhere in the house with us - wherever they are comfortable!
“I left Meggy with Rosanna for 6 hours' day care on 2.2.24 at short notice. She was very accommodating and I felt Megs settled in almost immediately. She had an hour's walk at lunch down towards the park/woodland and playtime during the day. A quiet, calm household with a small rear garden all of which suited our Jack Russell well at that time. Without hesitation, I would certainly use Rosanna again.”

“Ellie was brilliant with our Jack Russell and they clearly got on really well - at the end of the day he was really reluctant to leave and kept looking back over his shoulder for her! She kept us up to date with how the day was going and sent pictures. We'd be happy to book with her again! 10/10 would recommend.”

“Beth took excellent care of Baxter, from a positive and very friendly meet to a full day of doggy daycare. Beth has outstanding grounds for dogs to run around and be themselves. We will be using Beth again the future.”

“Lilly was wonderful with Max and he has clearly had a super fun day (he was snoring in the car on the way home 😂) Excellent communication throughout the day - thank you for taking such great care of our puppy”

“Our dog had a wonderful time with Jane! Jane obviously loves dogs and you can rest assured knowing that your dog will be taken great care of if they are with Jane. Would 100% recommend!”

“Nitya is a very communicative and friendly sitter. She and her partner provided our pup Arthur with so much care and attention and provided us with regular photos and updates. We picked up a very happy pup afterwards! Highly recommended and we will definitely be booking Nitya and her partner again! Thank you!”

About: I've had dogs in my life since I was born and currently have 3 Vizslas and am a KC approved breeder too, so am more than comfortable with puppies too. I have a few small businesses that I run from home & home educate my teenage son so I have time to fit in pet care with my routine I'm more than happy to pop in and feed /play etc with your pet while you're away or out, take it for a walk if necessary (depending on the type of pet!). I'm comfortable with most pets and if I were to agree to pet sit during the day or overnight at my own home, I have a large fenced garden with plenty of space and my pets to keep yours company
“Trudy had a lovely day with Somah! It was a super hot day and they took such care to keep Trudy cool, and comfortable. Love getting little updates throughout the day! Trudy will be back to visit soon!”

“Cosmo once again had a fantastic time with Karen and Marnie. I never worry about leaving him with Karen as I know he is safe hands and her regular photos are fab to see as well as reassuring to see he is happy.”

About: I've worked professionally with animals (competition horses) since my teens & always had big dogs myself from German shepherds to mountain dogs. I'm calm & professional & the space has a lovely garden. I don't have my own pets currently or any children so your pet really will get undivided attention. I work for myself so can be flexible & at home when I have sits. I'm happy to have dogs 1:1 or if you're going away with family/friends & want your pups that already know each other to stay together, I am happy to cater this. I'm confident tailoring needs for old or injured/rehabing dogs, & am also an active runner - so if you have one that needs extra stimulation, I am happy taking them for canicross fun too. I work for myself so can base at home as much as needed around dog sits. Occasionally, I look after horses so if suitable the dog can join me for a fun half day outside. I am active so will take the dog fun places to explore if they are happy to travel & if they like to run they can join me for some extra exercise. I teach yoga 2 evenings a week locally meaning the dog/dogs would need to be ok left for 1.5hours. With my own dogs I've always taken them everywhere with me & have a dog-friendly friendship group so I am happy taking your pup for social walks & pub visits too (when appropriate for the dog). I have a fenced garden. I let the dogs in all the rooms so they can be with my while I work. I tend not to let them on furniture but if it is something they are used to, I can put some dog towels on the sofa for them to settle.
“Harry was in excellent care with Nicholas. I know that he had a good time as he slept like a baby which is really rare! Your dog is in safe hands with these dog sitters. Once again thank you and Harry looks forward to seeing you again”

“Barbara was super quick to reply and flexible with the times we needed for two last minute requests. She looked after Rover very well and we'd very happily book her again!”

About: Although I’m new to Rover, I’ve spent my whole life caring for animals. I’m 18 years old and have just completed my A-levels and am available for pet sitting over the next year before I go to university. I’ve grown up in a home full of dogs, cats and other pets. Over the years, my family has regularly looked after pets for friends, neighbours and relatives, giving me experience with a wide range of animals and personalities. From a young age, I was trusted to take shared responsibility for the dogs staying with us, including feeding, walking, exercising, playing with them and making sure they felt safe and settled while their owners were away. I have experience caring for everything from energetic puppies and kittens to gentle senior dogs who need a little extra patience and care. I’m comfortable looking after breeds of all sizes, from Dachshunds to Basset Hounds and Golden Retrievers. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a much-loved family member, and I’ll always treat your pets with the same kindness, patience and attention that I would my own. Having just completed my A-levels, I have plenty of availability to provide reliable pet care before I go to university next year. My schedule is very flexible, and I’m happy to work with owners to find times that suit their routine, whether that’s regular visits, occasional check-ins, weekends or holidays. I understand that pets are happiest when they can stay in their own familiar environment and keep to their usual routine. When caring for your pet in your home, I'll follow your instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication (where appropriate), and any other routines that help your pet feel safe and comfortable. I will treat both your pet and your home with the utmost respect, ensuring everything is left clean, tidy and secure. I'll make sure your pet receives plenty of attention, companionship and care during every visit, and I'm happy to provide updates and photos so you can relax knowing they're happy and well looked after while you're away.

About: I have owned dogs for the past ten years and cared for animals more generally since I was eight years old. As I work from home full-time I tend to have flexible availability and am able to cater to the needs of dogs that need a bit more attention, love and care. I am experienced with both puppies and senior dogs (my dog is a senior gal herself!) and love to spend time with the dogs outside— whether that be playing or relaxing in the fully-fenced garden or going on lovely walks in the Surrey Hills! I am very experienced with larger dogs but love hanging out with smaller doggos too! I work from home full-time so will have plenty of time to love on your pups! I take the dogs on walks 2-3 times a day (depending on your dog’s preferences). I have a fully fenced yard for your dogs to play in and my own 9 year old female Bernese Mountain Dog, Gwen, will be very happy to keep your dog company! She’s a very friendly and gentle girl who has been around puppies, elderly dogs, and baby and elderly humans tons too!

I do not have an outdoor space at my home however I live right next to the Devils Punchbowl so can give your dog long walks and a good run around at the Common!
About: I am an experienced dog owner and have been walking and sitting dogs and cats for 3 years. I am reliable and friendly and will keep in touch with updates and pictures. I will give your pet all the love and care it needs while you are away. I can usually be very flexible to fit around your needs for walking, drop in visits or sitting. Please ask if you would like more information about how it works. I will follow any specific requests you may have for your pet’s care and will keep them happy and safe. I am happy to pop in, free of charge, before the walk/visit so we can get to know each other and you can show me where everything is and go over your pet’s requirements.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs all my life. I also currently have a dog and she is almost 3. I’ve also house sat for friends who have dogs in the past. Inevitably, being on Rover, I’m mad about dogs, so looking after them doesn’t feel like work for me. I’m a university student who is home for the summer so I’ve got plenty of time on my hands to properly care for and look after dogs. I have a fenced garden and one small, friendly dog to keep yours company. The front porch also has a gate so the dogs can’t run off. There’s also plenty of places near me to safely walk the dog off the lead so they can have a proper run around and exert some energy!
About: I have had dogs all of my life and yours will be part of our family for the time they are with me. I have experience with puppies, reactive dogs, nervous dogs, elderly and happy to administer any medication needed. I live in Chiddingfold with my husband and two whippet girls called Nelly and Daphne who are always happy to have a friend on a walk or a guest in the house! Both my husband and I work from home I have flexible hours so I am able to go for walks over most lunchtimes, staying at my home or drop-ins during the day. My garden is fully fenced and my two dogs will also be here to keep your dog company! They will have constant care and cuddles and will be have toilet breaks as often as they need.

“Andy was brill, very friendly and responded quickly when I first contacted him. Comfortable with my big dog, took him on lots of walks and kept me fully updated with messages and pics. Took care to know Jaffa's usual routines to keep things as normal for him as possible. Jaffa must have had a great time as he was wiped out the next day! Thanks so much Andy, we'll definitely be back in touch!”

“We felt really reassured leaving Tilley with Noah and Georgie, their communication is great and they made Tilley feel comfortable. Also want to say thanks for being understanding when we had the pickup issue!”

“Terence and family were excellent with our 4-month old border collie pup. Great communication, with frequent video updates. During his stay, Buddy learnt how to socialise with other dogs and gained confidence off-lead, thanks to Terence. Their farm is lovely, safe, with plenty of space for dogs to enjoy themselves. Thanks!”

“Ellie was a fantastic dog sitter for Ada while we were away. Ada settled in really quickly and clearly loved her time there. Ellie sent plenty of pictures. We would absolutely leave Ada with Ellie again.”

“We couldn’t recommend Lucy and Nick highly enough - they were responsive, sent us photos, kept us updated and were lovely to deal with. It was so nice feeling that Norman was being well looked after whilst we were away. Thank you.”

“Amazing care for Sid! He was looked after brilliantly and it was obvious he’d been given lots of love and attention. Communication was great and i felt totally at ease leaving him. Id Highly recommend and will 100 percent be using Jane in the future.”

“Anna and Izzi have been absolutely wonderful with Rosie. They took such kind and attentive care of her, and it’s clear how much they genuinely enjoy having her around. I loved seeing how they took her to different places and gave her little adventures, it really means a lot. They never left her alone and kept me reassured throughout, which made a huge difference. I felt completely at ease and was able to relax while travelling, knowing Rosie was in such safe and caring hands. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone, and I’d be very happy for Rosie to stay with them again.”

“I'm so grateful to Beth for looking after my dog while I was away. She sent me lovely updates and it was clear she was having a great time! Thank you and I'd love her to come and stay with you again!!”

“Hebron was a great choice for our first week away without our 2 year old Poochon. She's really great with our dog, and was able to deal with an unexpected last minute addition of medication. Can easily recommend for dog walking, day care and boarding.”

About: We are a family of four with a 4-year-old daughter and a friendly French Bulldog who loves making new doggy friends. Our home is full of love, play, and plenty of attention for visiting dogs. We understand how important it is to know your pet is safe and happy while you’re away, and we’ll treat your dog like part of the family. We enjoy daily walks, outdoor playtime, and lots of cuddles, while always respecting each dog’s individual needs and routine. Our daughter has grown up around dogs and is gentle and comfortable with them, making our home an enjoyable environment for sociable pets. We both work flexibly so there is always someone at home and we love a chill weekend that typically involves mooching about the local area and spending time with family which is inclusive of furry friends. Doggies are welcome to roam about the house and garden (it’s fenced in). We typically do morning walks with plenty of countryside surrounding us we can accommodate on and off lead walks. Sleeping arrangements can be flexible, we have plenty of space around the house for extra beds / crates depending on your doggies preference
“Barbara is wonderful! She has looked afree our cocker spaniel twice now and both times he has been so well cared for. Barbara kept me updated with pictures and notes which was great. She has such a kind, caring nature so I know Pedro is in safe hands. He’s looking forward to his next stay!”

“Charlotte is an absolute star. She looked after our two lovely Irish Setters for a week whilst we were on holiday. The location of her house is a dream with walks right out of her front door - and given how tired our doggies were when they got home they definitely had plenty of exercise. Charlotte was also fab at giving us regular updates so we knew they were doing well. The set up is great - a real home from home for the dogs and so they got to keep their usual routine and had plenty of cuddles (and a few attempts at sneaking up the stairs...). We are pretty convinced they were annoyed when we picked them up as they enjoyed their holiday as much as we did. Thank you Charlotte and family for looking after our girls so well.”
“Milo has again clearly had a brilliant time with Hannah, and seems to have got on well with the other dogs. He is already looking forward to next time! Many thanks again, Hannah.”

“Our puppy was not on his best behaviour but Amelia Jo was amazing. She was calm and professional despite our puppy being difficult and we could not recommend her enough - easy 5 stars! Thank you!”

“We've had such a great experience. And our Baloo has made great friends with Tyson, we will for sure be using Callum again, always great communication and plenty of updates during the stay. Thanks guys!”
