About: I am delighted to be able to offer dogs a home from home experience in my family home. I have always cared for animals. From feeding strays on holidays as a child to volunteering in rescue centres. In Great Bookham, I have my two Weimaraners Cybill and Ollie, but still have bags of energy to look after your beloved dogs! I offer overnight stays in the comfort of my clean and tidy and spacious house as well as daytime care for you. Apart from the school run, I am at home nearly all day every day to lavish attention in your pets. I have a large fenced in garden. Downstairs there are four spacious rooms the dogs can roam around in and a large sofa for them to lounge around on or there are lots of dog beds on the new laminate floor. The kitchen floor is ceramic tiles which longer haired dogs appreciate on a hot day!
“It was a pleasure working with Hannah. She took great care with the 2 cats, both of which needed medication. I received daily updates with pictures. Thank you for taking the time for extra cuddles!”

About: We have spent over 20 years living with and caring for animals - from large, high-energy dogs to confident (and often very opinionated) cats. Caring for them isn’t something we “do” - it’s simply how we’ve always lived. We understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, and we take that responsibility seriously. We are both experienced with a wide range of temperaments, personalities, ages, and needs. From energetic puppies discovering the world to senior pets who appreciate a gentler pace, we are attuned to what animals actually need - whether that’s exercise, companionship, consistency, reassurance, or simply a familiar presence nearby. The goal is always the same: a pet who feels secure, settled, and completely at ease. What sets us apart is simple - there are two of us. We provide care together, meaning your pet benefits from consistent attention, supervision, and company throughout their stay. There’s no juggling or long gaps - just a welcoming, well-managed environment where someone is always present. We also keep numbers intentionally limited to maintain a genuine home-from-home experience - not a busy rotation, but a space where every pet receives individual attention (and quickly finds their favourite spot!). And space is something we're fortunate to have. We know how important environment can be, which is why we've created the kind of spacious, relaxed setting we'd want for our own pets. Your pet will stay in our large detached Surrey home, with plenty of space to relax, play, explore, and make themselves at home, as well as a secure garden complete with additional safety netting for those particularly talented escape artists! Many of our guests settle in remarkably quickly, enjoying the important business of being a thoroughly pampered pet, many of our guests make themselves at home remarkably quickly. Some arrive ready to explore. Some prefer to observe proceedings from a comfortable distance. Others conduct what can only be described as a thorough inspection before deciding whether we meet their standards. We offer: • Boarding in our spacious family home • Doggy day care with routine, enrichment, and attention • Walks tailored to your dog's pace and preferences (including the occasional pause to investigate absolutely everything) • Drop-in visits for pets who prefer to remain in familiar surroundings We are particularly experienced with: • Puppies and young dogs • Senior pets • Larger breeds • Pets with strong personalities • Nervous or sensitive animals who benefit from patience and consistency • Animals who thrive with routine, structure, and understanding Your pet won’t just be "looked after" - they will be settled, understood, and genuinely comfortable in our care. Updates are entirely tailored to you. If you'd like regular photos, videos, and thoughtful updates, we're happy to provide them. If you'd prefer a simple, reassuring message confirming everything is going smoothly, that works just as well. In short - your pet receives a secure environment, a dedicated two-person care team, and consistent attention throughout. You receive complete peace of mind. Pet care fits very naturally into our routine — largely because we’ve built our routine around it. Between the two of us, there is almost always someone at home, so your pet won’t be left alone for long periods or feel unsettled in a new environment. We’re available for day care, overnight stays, and flexible drop-ins or walks throughout the week and weekends. Whether your pet thrives on structure or prefers a more relaxed day (with strategic naps and snacks), we adapt to their usual routine as closely as possible. In short: your pet gets consistency, attention, and a suspicious amount of enthusiasm from two people who genuinely enjoy their company. Your pet’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. Our home is a large, tranquil, calm, secure, and pet-friendly environment designed to feel like a genuine home-from-home rather than a temporary stop. We have a very friendly, easy-going dog and cat who are both used to other animals and have mastered the art of being welcoming without being overwhelming. That said, your pet’s comfort always comes first - we have a large home with plenty of space, so pets can be easily separated if needed. Whether your pet loves company or prefers their own space, we can fully accommodate that. We’re experienced with a wide range of animals, including large dogs and more particular (or slightly dramatic) cats, and we’re confident handling different behaviours and needs. We follow your pet’s routine closely - feeding, walks, rest, and any specific instructions - because we know the little details matter. With two of us present, there’s always an extra level of supervision, awareness, and care. We don’t just “keep an eye” on pets - we actively engage with them, making sure they’re comfortable, settled, and happy. If separation is part of your pet’s routine, we can absolutely accommodate that. Otherwise, they’re free to relax, explore, and make themselves at home (within reason - we do draw the line at them fully taking over the house… usually).
“Our first time using Rover and really pleased we met Anna. Anna shared really good updates throughout and we felt completely at ease with leaving the girls to her safe hands. We really appreciated the drop in visit to meet us before we went away, and I’m sure the girls are very much looking forward to the next visit Anna has with them! Would highly recommend Anna to anyone looking to find a reliable, animal loving, friendly, pet sitter. ☺️”

About: We’re a family of four with twin 6 year old girls who absolutely adore spending time with dogs. Caring for animals has always been a big part of our lives. Personally, I’ve grown up around dogs and have a deep love and respect for them. We had a King Charles Spaniel named Finlay during my childhood, and we all absolutely adored him. These days, we regularly look after my mum’s dog, Lulu (pictured), and my brother’s dog, Kipling (also pictured). They’re both a joy to care for, and it’s become something of a family tradition to help out whenever we’re needed. The girls love getting involved too, and they’ve developed such a gentle and caring way with animals. We’d love the opportunity to care for your dog as if they were part of our own family! Pet care blends seamlessly into our routine, especially with the flexibility of working from home most of the week. It's ideal for taking the dogs out for walks and letting them into the garden. Plus, it offers great opportunities for our kids to learn and grow! We have a spacious home where your furry friend can freely explore, along with a large fenced garden for them to stretch their legs and enjoy the outdoors.
“Lots of updates and clearly lots of attention for Mr George who was very chilled when we returned home! Holly clearly understands cats, double checking over a potential health issue and supporting our kitty well during the extra hot weather we had last week. Thank you!”

About: Dogs have been part of my life since day one, and I truly can’t imagine life without them. Whether your dog is full of energy or prefers a slower pace, I’ll tailor my care to suit their needs – from active walks to running if they’re up for it. I work flexible hours, which means I can adapt to your schedule. Mornings and early afternoons work best, though evenings are also possible with a bit of notice. I would prefer to discuss this with you. Clarify your requirements and decide whether I can assist. Pets are not the same and their requirement may vary. I will guarantee affection and hugs regardless of the pet. 🐾

“We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter! From the moment we met, it was clear they genuinely love and understand cats. Rosanna kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Our cats were relaxed, happy, and clearly very well cared for when we returned. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable sitter. Five stars all the way!”

About: I have experience caring for a variety of dogs through volunteering at a greyhound rescue, where I regularly walked and handled rescue dogs with different temperaments. I’ve also looked after multiple family friends’ dogs and am very comfortable around cats, having cared for my own cat for many years. I’m friendly, calm, and reliable, and I genuinely care about making sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and well looked after while in my care. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos throughout bookings for peace of mind. My availability is mainly weekends, though I’m also happy to offer evening drop-ins during the week if required. With prior notice, I may also be able to accommodate weekday stays.
About: I have had dogs my whole life some from puppies some rescued. I am at home in the day and offer a warm environment with fabulous local dog walks. Our children are all at school so I am available term time during the week. Plenty of time for walks and play. Overnight stays may be possible. We have a large fenced garden on a private road with good walking. I have a large kitchen with an aga so nice and warm!
“It was a last-minute booking, and we are so grateful that Rosie was happy to help us and take care of our cat, Sammy. Rosie is incredibly kind, and you can tell at first sight that she loves animals. She followed all the instructions and sent us some photos, which was very touching and reassuring. When we returned, Sammy was relaxed, happy, and purring. We highly recommend Rosie and will definitely use her services again if needed.”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up with a Bichon Frise and regularly caring for a Poochon gave me a great foundation in attentive, detail-oriented care. For the past three years, I’ve been a proud dog parent to my Miniature Dachshund Gigi, which has taught me everything from managing high energy play to the importance of structured routines. While I have a soft spot for smaller breeds, I am a true dog lover at heart and am completely open to and comfortable with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Whether your pup is a tiny terrier or a giant breed, I provide a calm, confident, and fun environment tailored to their specific personality and energy levels As I work from home, my schedule is flexible for walks or house sitting. I can provide your pet with consistent company and exercise, ensuring their home routine remains completely uninterrupted while you're away. When house sitting, I prioritise maintaining your pet's familiar schedule and home security. I provide consistent companionship, stick to their feeding and walk routines, and ensure they feel safe. For walks, I focus on engaging, safe routes that suit their energy levels.
About: I started out by walking dogs for my neighbours after school, about 22 years ago. I was paid £1 per week, which increased to £2 eventually! For the last 10 years, I have been providing reliable pet care for dogs and cats of different sizes and breeds. My priority is not only in guaranteeing the necessary nurturing for a pet but also building a strong emotional bond with them and ensuring safety. I have been a cat owner for most of my life. My animals are so loved and cared for, and yours will be too. I believe quality pet care is a combination of comprehensive essential care, safe environment and building a strong emotional bond, where pets feel loved and secure. I am available to house sitting, walks and visits. I can take lots of walks in the day with your dog, play games, work on commands, stick to schedules if needed. My day rate reflects full responsibility, routine care and availability, rather than hourly time. This also includes one 30 minute walk. If your pet requires more/longer walks in that time, this will be an additional charge which i am happy to discuss. I can be available 7 days a week and can work remotely most of the time. I also manage my own work diary so I can be flexible around your dogs schedule and needs. I may need to run our for work errands, but most of the time, pets under my nurturing are never left alone for long. While sitting your pet in your home, instructions will always be kept to. Just as much respect will be given to your home as your pet. Security of your home will be maintained. Your pet's needs will always come first.
About: *Please note, I am now unavailable for day bookings on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s - 6pm onwards on these days only* Hi all, After growing up being surrounded by dogs, I’ve found myself missing the company of a four legged friend. My Mum has two dogs I look after often, as I work from home in a flexible role. Because of this, I’m in the perfect position to look after your dog whatever the day or time. They'll be keeping me company as much as the other way round! I'm responsible and experienced, having mainly grown up around large and sometimes problematic dogs, such as Dobermans and German Shepherds, so I’m very comfortable with antisocial/muzzled dogs. Your dog will get a walk every day, and daily routines, medication or special arrangements will be discussed in full detail prior. I live in a ground floor apartment in Dorking, with a good sized private fenced garden. There are plenty of lovely walks in my area too! I do hope to meet your doggo soon :) I currently work from home, and I have plenty of flexibility. I’ll easily be able to fit my day around your dog and ensure their needs are met. Prior to meeting your dog, I will always discuss your dogs needs and daily routine. This ensures minimal change and therefore reduces any possible stress. I always follow the rules set out by you. Lots of love and attention never hurts either!
About: I’ve volunteered in many wildlife charities and I love looking after animals. I’ve had a dog and many hamsters! My grandmother has 4 cats and rescues animals all the time. I let sit my aunties Airedale Terrier who is named dotty and thoroughly enjoy giving all my devoted love and attention to animals. I am a nurse so have an empathetic nature towards not just humans but animals just as much. I currently work 8-5 in a hospital as a nurse. My weekends are free and most evening so most pet care I can do all weekend. I will follow by the house rules and do exactly what the owner advises me to do to assure safety of their pet at all time
About: Hi, my name is Emily and I am 26 years old. I have a family dog and two cats, and I used to work at a dog kennels when I was younger so have experience with a wide range of breeds. Additionally, I have owned house rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs. I understand how important it is for animals to remain in their home environment when you go on holiday to reduce their stress, so hopefully I can help with this. I hope to hear from you! Please don't hesitate to drop me a message :) I'm currently working as a baker, so unfortunately I work irregular days. I will try to keep my availability up to date in my calendar so please check this. I will follow your pets established routine as closely as possible to reduce stress on them while you're gone. I won't leave the house for long periods at a time so you won't have to worry about them being alone.
“Maddie looked after after our cat for one week whilst we were away and dropped in twice a day to feed/play with her. She was an excellent sitter and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. Maddie sent thorough updates and our Cat loved her (quite the achievement with our timid rescue cat). I had complete trust in Maddie and would recommend her to anyone thinking of requesting her services. She is a genuine animal lover and it shows!”

Amanda is absolutely wonderful! Our cats took to her so well, especially our little girl Eevee who is usually very timid around strangers and hides but she was so happy! Amanda also regularly sent us photos and updates which provided peace of mind whilst we were on holiday. We couldn’t be more pleased with Amanda cat sitting our babies and would love to have her again 💗

We cannot recommend Holly and Agustin highly enough. This was our longest trip away from home so far, with eight days abroad, and we were understandably anxious about leaving our two Bengal cats, Lori and Niobe. To make things more complicated, the cats are currently going through a behaviourist-led reintroduction process and must be kept separated at all times. This effectively doubles the work involved, as each cat has their own routine, space, feeding arrangements and individual needs. Lori is a very outgoing and social cat who wants to interact with everyone he meets, whereas Niobe is much more reserved and cautious with new people and needs time to build trust. Holly and Agustin adapted beautifully to both personalities. They gave Lori all the attention and interaction he craved, while patiently allowing Niobe to approach at her own pace. Although Niobe remained true to her character, we understand that she made progress compared to previous visits, which speaks volumes about Holly's and Agustin's calm and respectful approach. Most importantly, they followed our instructions, and the guidance provided by our behaviourist, to the letter. Knowing that the cats' management plan was being followed consistently gave us enormous peace of mind while we were away. We received regular updates, photos and videos, and it was clear throughout that both cats were being cared for with genuine affection and professionalism. When we returned home, Lori and Niobe were relaxed, healthy and happy, and everything had been managed exactly as requested. Having a cat sitter you can truly trust is invaluable, and Holly and Agustin have once again proven that she is exactly that. We are incredibly grateful for the care they provided and will not hesitate to book with them again in the future. Thank you, Holly and Agustin, for looking after our cats so wonderfully.
We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter! Five stars all the way!

Darcy impressed us right from her "getting to know you" visit, with her calm, reassuring approach to our two elderly cats. She made sure to ask for all necessary information about their medications, and provided us with updates on how they were, with photos, while we were away. Darcy clearly gave them lots of attention and kept a close eye on them, and we will be very happy to ask her to look after them again.
Eloise has been fantastic…I just wish I’d found her sooner! I needed a sitter for just a couple of times a day to provide some companionship for my mum’s cat. Eloise was so friendly and helpful from the start, very easy to liaise with and just couldn’t do enough to help. She was amazing with mum’s cat, Nibbles, and sent me some super photos and videos of the visits. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a cat purr quite so loudly! If you’re looking for someone to help you out with your pet, then I can’t recommend Eloise highly enough.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
