About me: - fully insured - DBS checked - trained in pet first aid - trained in dog and cat care and nutrition - happy to administer medication pending a conversation with the owner/s - 10+ years of cat care experience - over 2 years of dog care experience I'm a part-time cattery assistant with experience in cat and dog care. I live with my crazy spaniel, Poppy, and my very cuddly cat, Crackle! I love getting to know new animals and doing my best to make them feel as happy and comfortable as possible. Understanding and communicating effectively with pets is such an enjoyable part of my job, it always feels like a real privilege to gain an animal's trust. Animals bring me so much joy, and I'm so excited to meet your lovely pets!

Safety, trust & environment
I know how much our pets like their routines, so my service will always start with a conversation with you to help me understand your wishes and how I can make your pet feel safe and comfortable. This will include feeding, favourite toys, favourite treats and any other information you would like me to know! I will also ask about your pet’s usual habits and demeanour - this is to help me monitor their wellbeing and happiness while under my care. All of this will be done in a free meet and greet for new clients. My visits will last between 30-60 minutes depending on scheduling and your preferences. If you have any additional requests such as watering plants or opening/closing curtains, I will be happy to do this at no additional cost. I understand how much we miss our pets when we're away, so photos and updates will always be available daily if required.

Darcy impressed us right from her "getting to know you" visit, with her calm, reassuring approach to our two elderly cats. She made sure to ask for all necessary information about their medications, and provided us with updates on how they were, with photos, while we were away. Darcy clearly gave them lots of attention and kept a close eye on them, and we will be very happy to ask her to look after them again.
Darcy came to look after our two lovely cats again this weekend. As always, Darcy was highly reliable, she let us know how the cats were doing and is really sensitive to the needs of our two nervous cats, who seem to love her! Thanks again Darcy.
Darcy recently looked after our two lovely cats again while we were away for 6 days. Our rescue cats are very sensitive and dislike anyone who comes to our house - but not Darcy! She is very patient and gentle and they’ve really taken to her. We have used Darcy several times and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.
Finding someone to trust to take care of your cat whilst you're away can be quite stressful but not when Darcy is around. Darcy took care of our little girl and even gave her meds when she unexpectedly got injured the night before we went away. We highly recommend Darcy and are booking her for our next adventure.
Darcy has been absolutely phenomenal. She was very caring & attentive to our cats. Darcy followed all of our instructions & was enabled us to switch off when abroad knowing our little floofs were in capable hands. I highly recommend :)
Darcy looked after our two sensitive cats again this weekend and did a brilliant job. She’s very gentle and patient with them and always lets them come to her. They are very comfortable and relaxed around Darcy and she did everything exactly as we requested. We won’t hesitate to use her again.

Schedule
I currently work part-time, so I'm very flexible with timings and can visit your pet any day. On days that I'm working, the visits will have to be exclusively morning and/or evening, otherwise they can be any time you'd like!
