“I was so nervous leaving my dog for a weeks boarding for the first time, Mark immediately put my mind at ease. Seeing how much effort and kindness he puts into bonding with the dogs he looks after made me so comfortable when leaving my dog with him. Mark gave us updates and lovely photos throughout, would 100% book with Mark again. Thanks so much!”

About: have always had a genuine love and respect for animals and understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for when their owners are away. Growing up with two cats and a dog, I have had the joy of experiencing the companionship, personalities, and individual needs that make every pet unique. I am a reliable, patient, and caring person who enjoys spending time with animals, whether that’s going for walks, providing companionship, playing, or simply making sure they feel happy and settled. Although I am new to Rover, I am not new to caring for pets and understand the trust owners place in someone looking after their beloved animals. I will take the time to get to know your pet’s routine, personality, and preferences, ensuring they receive the attention, affection, and care they deserve. My priority is to provide a safe, loving, and reassuring experience for both you and your pet. I’m currently working full time, however I am free after 5pm on weekdays and free on the weekends for boarding/walks/looking after for the day. I currently have the summer holidays off work and Christmas/half terms off work so will be available to look after your pets then too :) have a spacious home with plenty of land, including a secure front and back garden with gates, giving pets a safe and comfortable environment to enjoy. I live next to a farm with lots of green space and beautiful walking routes, perfect for dogs who enjoy exploring and getting fresh air. I don’t have any pets or children, meaning your dog or cat will receive my full attention, care, and companionship during their stay. I will make sure they feel relaxed, happy, and well looked after while they are with me.
“Alexandra is a fantastic boarder.. Gave our dog lovely walks. Well looked after and really nice person to deal with. There garden is nice and long for dogs to run in and is well fenced in Would have no hesitation recommending and using her services again Thanks xx”

“Sarah is absolutely stellar! It was our first time leaving our dog with anyone but family, but she instantly relieved our worries. We got regular updates and adorable pictures of him looking so incredibly happy. He had a fantastic time—I think he was genuinely sad and missing his new friends and Sarah! after we picked him up. We couldn't recommend her more highly.”

“Abby came through for us when I was worried we wouldn't find the right care for our Darcy when we went to attend a wedding. All throughout communication was clear and prompt. We visited Abby's home before finalising the stay. She and her family are lovely and perfectly at ease with visiting dogs. Darcy was instantly at home too! During his stay, Abby sent us regular updates and photos/ videos. He's come home happy and gave Abby and Fudge a cuddle before leaving 😊 We'll definitely be booking Abby again x”

“Luna went to stay with Shirley and Chris for the night - first time away from home!! She had a great time and it was so reassuring to know that she was in good hands. Shirley and Chris were amazing - would recommend them 100%. They were great at keeping us up-to-date on how Luna was doing - sending lovely photos etc - and Luna was very happy and relaxed when we picked her up in the morning. Thank you so much xxx”

“Toffee just got back from three nights with Charlotte and her lovely family. Super easy communication and lots of photos, thank you so much for looking after him so well for us!”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life and grew up in a family that absolutely loved them. My late nan bred Dachshunds, so from a young age I was surrounded by puppies as well as adult dogs, giving me a real appreciation of dogs’ different personalities and needs. Over the years I’ve owned multiple dogs and currently have one much-loved dog of my own. I also regularly walk and look after friends’ dogs, which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed and is what inspired me to join Rover so I can offer the same loving, reliable care to other dog owners. As a teacher, I’m responsible, patient and organised, and I understand how important it is for owners to know their dog is in safe hands. Your dog will be welcomed into our family home, where I live with my two older teenage daughters, who have also grown up around dogs and love having them around. To ensure every dog receives the attention they deserve, I only care for one guest dog at a time (or dogs from the same household). I’ll follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible and keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can relax knowing they’re being cared for as if they were one of our own. My aim is to provide a genuine home-from-home experience where your dog feels safe, loved and part of the family. As I work full-time as a teacher, I offer pet care during the school holidays only. This means that when your dog stays with me, I’ll be at home for much of the day and can give them the time, attention and companionship they deserve. Our daily routine is relaxed and centred around your dog’s needs, with regular walks, playtime, cuddles and plenty of opportunities to rest. I’ll follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, exercise and any special requirements, so they feel comfortable and settled. By only accepting bookings during the holidays and caring for one guest dog at a time, I can provide a calm, home-from-home environment where your dog receives plenty of individual care and attention. Your dog’s safety, comfort and happiness will always be my priority. Before every booking, I’d like to arrange a meet-and-greet so we can discuss your dog’s routine, personality and any specific needs, helping them settle in as quickly as possible. I have a fully fenced and secure garden where dogs can safely enjoy time outdoors. Inside, they’ll be welcomed into our family home and treated as one of the family. I also have a friendly Working Cocker Spaniel who enjoys the company of other dogs, and because I only accept one guest dog at a time (or dogs from the same household), I can ensure a calm, relaxed environment for everyone. I’ll follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks and any medication if required. If your dog is crate trained or you would prefer them to have their own quiet space, I’m happy to provide a crate during their stay. I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your dog is safe, happy and receiving plenty of love and attention.
“Lindsay looked after Arlo, my 1 year old cocker spaniel; whilst I was away for the first time. She was fantastic, sent regular updates and really felt she looked after him like he was her own. Highly recommend.”

“Franki was absolutely amazing with Ives and so understanding of everything that comes with looking after a spaniel puppy! Would 100% go to Franki again and wish she lived closer! Perfect communication and updates, genuinely couldn't ask for a better sitter - thank you!”

“Caitlin sent daily updates with details of their long walks and lots of lovely photos. She and her family took excellent care of Otto. He came back happy and relaxed. I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again.”

About: I have had 3 dogs of my own more have regularly looked after 3 others while owners have been on holidays. To me they are family and are treated as such. Your pets will be loved by me and will have full access of the house and garden. I owned 2 staffies and a Spanish mastiff. I regularly look after a frenchie a spaniel and 3 greyhounds. I am retired so I can give your pet as much attention as is required. I prefer animals that can be left a few hours so I can still get out for shopping etc. But I could accommodate more needy ones for short periods of time. I have a small fenced garden and no other animals to disturb your cat. Happy to stay or drop in at your house if its local to me also.
About: I’ve been the owner of many pets, be it dogs, cats and even a gecko and tortoise! Currently look after my neighbours dog including walking and feeding. I currently work shift work which allows me to have large portions of the days free and have four days off in every ten. Due to this my availability is random but I have quite a lot. I have a very clean and well kept apartment which is pet friendly, with many walks surrounding to get out and about. I also drive and have a car for walks further a field or for any emergencies.
“Natasha, her family and the dogs made Arlo feel at home. I think my dog was depressed when he ve home as he enjoyed it so much 😅. I was really nervous about leaving Arlo with someone I didn't know but Natasha was very attentive sending us updates to know what our fur baby was well cared for. Thanks again 🥰🐩”

“Hunter had a great time making a new friend and took full advantage of the safe outdoor space to play in! He was cared for perfectly and we were given plenty of updates to see just how much fun he was having without us! 😅 Hunter can't wait for his next holiday with Bruce and family!”

About: Our family have always had pets and as a child dogs were a permanent fixture. As an adult we have had small animals, a loving cat and presently a cockapoo. I am willing to care for dogs and cats and particularly like dog walking. I am happy to have well behaved, fully trained, family friendly dogs in my own home. I am a retired nurse and teacher with some time on my hands. I'm available most weekends and at the end of the week. I may have grandchildren at the house so can only board dogs who are good with children. I am happy to play and walk your dog. I have a fenced garden and large house. Well behaved dogs are welcome on the furniture and beds. They will need their own food and toys. Our dog Mabel does not live with us all the time as she is my daughter's dog and mostly lives in Wales. She comes to us for holidays.
“Anna sent us frequent and detailed updates on how our cockapoo was spending time with the family and how well she fitted in. This was followed with some great photos which gave me great joy and reassurance that all was ok. Anna's care was faultless and I'd be happy to book with her again.”

“Alix was an exceptional cat sitter for our 4 fur babies. She was super communicative and took excellent care of our cats, even when we had very specific requests. We would definitely recommend her for anyone especially those with large numbers of pets.”

“It was a pleasure working with Hannah. She took great care with the 2 cats, both of which needed medication. I received daily updates with pictures. Thank you for taking the time for extra cuddles!”

About: I’ve spent over 20 years living with cats - so I fully understand that you don’t really own them… you’re simply permitted to share their space. I’m very used to all types - the affectionate shadows, the selective snugglers, the quietly judgemental observers, and the ones who make direct eye contact while knocking things off surfaces. Whatever their personality, I take the time to understand their routine, their boundaries, and all their very specific (and often non-negotiable) preferences. We’re very lucky to have a large, tranquil home, which suits cats perfectly. There’s space to retreat, space to explore, and plenty of quiet corners for uninterrupted napping (their primary commitment). It’s a calm, low-stimulation environment where even the more particular or sensitive cats can settle in at their own pace - no pressure, no chaos, no unnecessary enthusiasm. Care is entirely tailored to the cat. Some want play, some want quiet company, and some want you nearby but absolutely not touching them - I’m very comfortable with all of the above. I’m especially confident with shy, anxious, or slightly aloof cats who need patience, consistency, and someone who understands that trust is earned… slowly. What really sets us apart is that there are two of us. My partner and I provide care together, so your cat benefits from constant, calm companionship without ever feeling crowded - just a steady presence in a peaceful home where they can remain firmly in charge. If your cat stays with us, they’ll be treated as part of the home (and will almost certainly behave as if they’ve always lived here). If they prefer their own space, we offer drop-in visits where everything is kept exactly as they like it - routine intact, food served correctly (or rejected on principle), and their kingdom left undisturbed. Updates are completely your call - from regular photos and small personality insights to simple check-ins confirming everything is going smoothly and your cat is still running things exactly as expected. In short: a spacious, calm and quietly luxurious environment, paired with intuitive care from people who genuinely understand cats - their moods, their standards, and their complete lack of compromise.
About: We’re a family of four with twin 6 year old girls who absolutely adore spending time with dogs. Caring for animals has always been a big part of our lives. Personally, I’ve grown up around dogs and have a deep love and respect for them. We had a King Charles Spaniel named Finlay during my childhood, and we all absolutely adored him. These days, we regularly look after my mum’s dog, Lulu (pictured), and my brother’s dog, Kipling (also pictured). They’re both a joy to care for, and it’s become something of a family tradition to help out whenever we’re needed. The girls love getting involved too, and they’ve developed such a gentle and caring way with animals. We’d love the opportunity to care for your dog as if they were part of our own family! Pet care blends seamlessly into our routine, especially with the flexibility of working from home most of the week. It's ideal for taking the dogs out for walks and letting them into the garden. Plus, it offers great opportunities for our kids to learn and grow! We have a spacious home where your furry friend can freely explore, along with a large fenced garden for them to stretch their legs and enjoy the outdoors.
About: I am delighted to be able to offer dogs a home from home experience in my family home. I have always cared for animals. From feeding strays on holidays as a child to volunteering in rescue centres. In Great Bookham, I have my two Weimaraners Cybill and Ollie, but still have bags of energy to look after your beloved dogs! I offer overnight stays in the comfort of my clean and tidy and spacious house as well as daytime care for you. Apart from the school run, I am at home nearly all day every day to lavish attention in your pets. I have a large fenced in garden. Downstairs there are four spacious rooms the dogs can roam around in and a large sofa for them to lounge around on or there are lots of dog beds on the new laminate floor. The kitchen floor is ceramic tiles which longer haired dogs appreciate on a hot day!
About: I have a 10-year-old Labrador called Elsa, who’s been part of my family since she was a puppy. She’s a lovely, gentle dog and has taught me a lot about caring for and understanding dogs. Alongside looking after Elsa, I’ve also had experience walking and caring for other dogs, so I’m confident with different breeds and personalities. I’m currently on a placement year working full time until I return to university next September. I’m in the office Tuesday to Thursday and work from home on Mondays and Fridays, which gives me some flexibility for walks and visits. I’m also mostly available on weekends and always happy to spend time with dogs who need a bit of extra care, company, or exercise! I’m also mostly available on weekends In my house at home, I have a spacious, fenced garden. About: My husband and I both grew up with animals being key in our lives; our love for them is what bonded us. Together we ran a rescue centre for 15 years in Spain, caring for some of the most heartbreaking cases - we had dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, chickens & goats in our care. Our first and our last Spanish rescue dogs are living joyfully with us here in the UK – many between have been happily adopted throughout Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK and Ireland. In 2022 we opened a pet sitting and training business in Ireland, but we had to move back to the UK for family reasons, so now we're opening a pet services business here. We have 3 dogs and a cat at home, but we believe you can never have too many furry friends in your life and would love the opportunity to care for yours. Puppies are especially welcome and would benefit from our years of training experience. On pet/house sits we do not charge any extra for a 2nd dog or for 2 or more cats and a 1 hour walk is also included free. Other types and quantities of animals can be discussed. So if you have 2 dogs, 5 cats, 2 rabbits and 6 chickens for example, you will be charged only for 1 dog and 1 cat. We can discuss terms if you have other small-holding animals that need our care too. Experienced poultry handling & care as well as equine and caprine. ALL dog walking will be undertaken ON-LEAD only, unless a secure, fenced zone has been designated. For scheduled dog walks only, there will be a maximum of TWO dogs on your dog walk, yours and one other, likely to be one of our own well trained & socialised GSD or Newfoundland, unless you have two dogs, in which case it will be just yours. We are more than happy to discuss logistics if you have 3 or more dogs, but their safety is their priority. We feel that it is really important your dog still gets personal attention, rather than being just another one in a random pack. Your dog/s will be kept on a lead at all times. We are offering a personal service, not herd bookings. There will be a free, in person meet & greet for every single dog sit booking. My husband and I work from home, so there's always at least one of us in. As former rescue centre owners we are used to putting animal needs well above our own. Your pets will fit in with ours and we'll take the same hyper-vigilant care of them as we do our own. We have a fully fenced/walled back garden. Your dogs will have free reign in our house, along with our own. We care for them as you wish them to be cared for - ours are not crate trained, but should yours prefer a crate, we can accommodate that. We ran a rescue centre for all animals in Spain for 15 years and are experienced with dogs of all ages, sizes and temperaments, and are well versed in dog communication and having multiple dogs in one household, having looked after in excess of 20 at any one time. We are both experienced dog trainers and particularly welcome puppies where others may not want the responsibility or have the experience. We are canine trainers and behaviourists, and are consistently adding to our professional skills: currently we are both studying canine acupressure and canine massage.

“Emily was absolutely fantastic looking after our cat while we were away. She gave us regular updates and we came home to a very happy, relaxed cat. We were genuinely impressed and would trust her again without hesitation.”

About: Having grown up with two cats, I’m well-versed in feline behaviour and understand that every cat has its own unique personality. Whether your cat is a social butterfly who loves to play or a shy soul who prefers quiet company, I provide patient, attentive care. I’m happy to help with feeding, litter box maintenance, and most importantly plenty of chin scratches and affection while you’re away!

“We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter! From the moment we met, it was clear they genuinely love and understand cats. Rosanna kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Our cats were relaxed, happy, and clearly very well cared for when we returned. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable sitter. Five stars all the way!”

“Rosie was a star during our drop-in visits for our two kitties. She communicated excellently, took regular photos, and even went as far as to take in post and put out the bins for us... and of course, kept our furry friends fed and watered. Thanks Rosie!”

“Sarah was absolutely amazing! I really appreciated her flexibility in accommodating my schedule, and Maya had such a great time she didn’t want to leave. Couldn’t recommend her more!”

“Charlotte is amazing and so is her family. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She is so caring and loved my little bear!. Couldn't of asked for a nicer family to keep bear entertained”

“Alexandra and her lovely family kindly looked after my dear Rupert for the day while we were out for a family birthday party. I live in Manchester, but was visiting my elderly Dad who lives nearby to Alexandra in Surrey (and had left my other doggies at home up north with our doggie sitter). Ru is a loveable, affectionate but very excitable young terrier who has separation anxiety problems, and has sadly developed fear aggression towards ‘strange’ dogs as the result of a traumatic experience. As there were going to be other relatives’ dogs attending this lunch, I didn’t feel we could take him along. He is used to his regular doggie walker/sitter at home but has spent limited time with total strangers; has never been cared for in my absence without the company of his little doggie mother - and never stayed alone at someone’s else’s house. Alexandra was so kind and helpful, and quickly understood how best to help him settle and feel safe and secure in her home. She kept me updated during the afternoon - and it was clear he’d had a jolly and happy time with her, her husband, and delightful children. He was naturally excited to see me when I collected him - but it was evident that he had not been anxious or distressed, and was calm and cheerful as we walked home. I was delighted with, and grateful for, Alexandra and her family’s care of Ru. I feel that they didn’t only help with the practical need of dog care for those few hours - but very importantly - supported him in reaching a new milestone: being both separated from me, his real dog mummy, and his familiar environment, AND navigating a totally new experience with total strangers. His (clearly) very positive experience of his visit with Alexandra and family will now be imprinted on him, and help him on his journey toward more confidence. Rupert really loves kids, but requires them to be very calm around him (he needs no encouragement to get totally over-excited). Alexandra’s four lovely children got it ‘just right’ :). I would absolutely contact them if ever I need help with my dear scruffy boy again. As the ‘human mum’ of a doggie requiring special handling and calm care I HIGHLY recommend Alexandra to any and all other families considering doggie care with her and her family. She has both the experience and the sensitivity to tune-in to an individual dog’s needs and enable them to feel safe and secure: every loving dog-owner’s first priority in entrusting their hairy child to the care of someone else! A really really big thanks to you and all of your lovely family, Alexandra. Xx”

“Arlos stay with Emma was amazing. From the moment we walked in there was a sense of calm with zen music playing and the room carefully sectioned off to create a play space with air con and a lovely big outdoor garden for him to play in. We had lots of updates and some beautiful photographs throughout the day and he even received a complimentary groom which was a lovely surprise! I would really recommend Emma and her Partner to look after Arlo again - it’s clear they take care and pride in their work and were a pleasure to meet.”

“Mark was great, he accepted our booking despite us requesting dog sitting quite last minute and was great with our dog, Penny. Would definitely use him again & recommend him if you’re looking for a dog sitter!”

“Lindsey is so lovely and clearly a dog lover. She was so kind and patient with our very nervous young dog and great with communication too. She took Toby for a long walk and has a great home set-up with a lovely garden. Toby was following her around and taking treats from her by the end of his day which is testament to Lindsey as he takes a long time to warm up to new people. Lindsey's little dog Wilf is also a sweetheart.”

“I was super happy leaving Freya with Rosie. She accommodated a last minute booking and was flexible on the day with me picking her up. Rosie’s house and garden were beautiful and perfect for Freya to run around in. She came home a very happy tired girl ☺️ definitely recommend. Thanks Rosie!”

“Paris is a kind and lovely girl who made us both feel so welcome. It’s clear she loves pets as if they were her own. Cooper was thoroughly spoilt and we will definitely be booking again with Paris. Thank you again for looking after my boy so well. It means such a lot knowing he’s in safe hands.”

“I can happily recommend Niki. She stepped in as a saviour to look after our dog, Pickle. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She was very welcoming & warm & Pickle had a great time with her.”

“Shirley and Chris are just lovely. I was so relieved that they were able to help with my cockapoo at relatively short notice. Shirley came to meet Tilly a week beforehand and I knew I would be relaxed leaving my dog with her. Thank you so much to both of you.”

About: Having grown up with many pets including dogs, cats, birds, fish etc. I have lots of experience caring for them and their individual needs. About: Growing up with dogs and now owning my own Greek rescue, I understand that every dog has their own unique personality, routine, and individual needs. Alongside my experience as a dog owner, I've also worked abroad with a street dog charity, caring for rescue dogs from a variety of backgrounds. This taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement in helping dogs feel safe, confident, and happy. I'm committed to providing your dog with plenty of love, attention, and care tailored to their needs. I'll maintain the routine they're used to and provide regular updates, so you can have peace of mind. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust. That's why I'll care for your dog as if they were my own, ensuring they feel comfortable, secure, and well looked after while you're away. My current work schedule is flexible, however I am not available on Friday evenings (17:00 - 20:30) and Sunday evenings (15:30 - 19:00) When caring for your dog, I aim to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I'll follow any instructions provided regarding feeding, walks, medication, playtime, etc to help them feel comfortable and secure. I'll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos.

Our goal is simple: for your dog to feel completely safe, loved and at home, while giving you complete peace of mind from the moment you book until you’re reunited. ⭐ What makes us different - Two dedicated, experienced carers – Your dog benefits from constant companionship, individual attention and attentive supervision throughout their stay. - A spacious detached Surrey home – Featuring a large, fully secure garden (complete with additional safety netting for talented escape artists!) and beautiful countryside walks right on our doorstep. - Beautiful professional-quality photographs, personalised daily updates and videos – So you’ll never have to wonder how your dog is getting on. You’ll feel part of every adventure while you’re away. - Limited numbers of dogs – We intentionally keep our bookings low so every guest receives genuine one-to-one care in a calm, relaxed home environment. - Complimentary spa freshen-up for first-time boarding guests – Before heading home, first-time boarding guests receive a complimentary bath using our premium grooming products (where suitable), so they return home clean, fresh and smelling wonderful. - Trusted by returning Rover families – Many of our guests come back to stay with us again and again, something we’re incredibly proud of. We’ve spent over 20 years living with and caring for animals; from energetic working breeds and playful puppies to gentle senior dogs and wonderfully opinionated cats. Caring for animals isn’t simply something we do; it’s part of who we are. From the moment they arrive, your dog becomes part of our daily life - not a kennel routine. Whether we’re working from home, relaxing in the garden, heading out for a countryside adventure or winding down for the evening, they’re included as part of the family. Every dog is wonderfully different, which is why we take the time to understand their personality, routine and all the little quirks that make them unique. Some can’t wait to explore every corner of the house. Others prefer to quietly observe proceedings before deciding whether we’ve earned their approval. (Thankfully, we usually pass the inspection!) Whether your dog loves countryside adventures, enrichment games, playing in the garden or simply curling up for an afternoon snooze, every stay is tailored around what makes them happiest. We are particularly experienced with: • Puppies and young dogs • Senior dogs • Larger breeds • Nervous or sensitive dogs • High-energy breeds • Dogs who thrive with routine, patience and consistency Our services • Home boarding • Doggy day care • Individual countryside walks tailored to your dog’s pace and personality • Drop in visits for pets happiest in their own home One of the things owners tell us they value most is our communication. Some love receiving beautiful photographs, videos and little stories throughout the day. Others simply want a reassuring message knowing their dog is happy, relaxed and having the best time. We’ll always tailor our updates to whatever gives you the greatest peace of mind. Above all, we don’t believe dogs should simply be looked after. For the time they’re with us, they become part of our family, cared for with the same love, patience and attention we’d want for our own pets. Our aim is simple: for every dog to leave happy, relaxed and excited to come back… and for every owner to return home knowing they made exactly the right choice. We can’t wait to welcome your four-legged family member into our family. ❤️ Pet care fits very naturally into our routine — largely because we’ve built our routine around it. Between the two of us, there is almost always someone at home, so your pet won’t be left alone for long periods or feel unsettled in a new environment. We’re available for day care, overnight stays, and flexible drop-ins or walks throughout the week and weekends. Whether your pet thrives on structure or prefers a more relaxed day (with strategic naps and snacks), we adapt to their usual routine as closely as possible. In short: your pet gets consistency, attention, and a suspicious amount of enthusiasm from two people who genuinely enjoy their company. Your pet’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. Our home is a large, tranquil, calm, secure, and pet-friendly environment designed to feel like a genuine home-from-home rather than a temporary stop. We have a very friendly, easy-going dog and cat who are both used to other animals and have mastered the art of being welcoming without being overwhelming. That said, your pet’s comfort always comes first - we have a large home with plenty of space, so pets can be easily separated if needed. Whether your pet loves company or prefers their own space, we can fully accommodate that. We’re experienced with a wide range of animals, including large dogs and more particular (or slightly dramatic) cats, and we’re confident handling different behaviours and needs. We follow your pet’s routine closely - feeding, walks, rest, and any specific instructions - because we know the little details matter. With two of us present, there’s always an extra level of supervision, awareness, and care. We don’t just “keep an eye” on pets - we actively engage with them, making sure they’re comfortable, settled, and happy. If separation is part of your pet’s routine, we can absolutely accommodate that. Otherwise, they’re free to relax, explore, and make themselves at home (within reason - we do draw the line at them fully taking over the house… usually).
About: I have taken care of a number of dogs over the last 10 years for my friends and family. This has included taking dogs for walks to housesitting for a number of days. I have 3 dogs of my own at my home in Sri Lanka that I rescued from the street. They are ages 6 and 3 years. I have trained all 3 of them to sit, stay and 1 can do paw. I come back from Sri Lanka in the summer and have plenty of time to dog sit as i work freelance as a yoga teacher. I would make sure to take care of your pet carefully and follow the instructions that you will give to me to ensure they are safe and comfortable. This is also to ensure they stick to the same routine that they are used to.

About: I have experience caring for a variety of dogs through volunteering at a greyhound rescue, where I regularly walked and handled rescue dogs with different temperaments. I’ve also looked after multiple family friends’ dogs and am very comfortable around cats, having cared for my own cat for many years. I’m friendly, calm, and reliable, and I genuinely care about making sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and well looked after while in my care. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos throughout bookings for peace of mind. My availability is mainly weekends, though I’m also happy to offer evening drop-ins during the week if required. With prior notice, I may also be able to accommodate weekday stays.

About: I’m a former zookeeper with a real passion for giving animals the best possible care. I’ve been lucky enough to work with a huge range of species — from domestic pets to animals like bears, lynx and wolverines — so I’m very confident reading behaviour and understanding what each individual animal needs. I know every pet is different, and I always take the time to get to know their personality. Whether your dog is full of energy and loves an active walk, or a bit more nervous and needs a calm, gentle approach, I’m happy to adapt and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I also have experience caring for geriatric animals and those with additional needs, including giving a wide range of medications. I understand how important it is to trust someone with this level of care, and I always take a careful, patient approach to make it as stress-free as possible for your pet. In my current role, I’m responsible for maintaining high welfare standards, monitoring health and behaviour, and making sure animals have positive, enriching experiences — and that’s something I bring into every pet I look after. I’m reliable, easy to communicate with, and will always keep you updated so you have peace of mind while you’re away. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own.
“Sophie has been an absolute godsend. Luca has clearly had a great time on his walks with her. He gets really excited when she arrives and is happily tired when he gets home. She has been very good at communicating and adjusting times if needed. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.”

About: We have had our family dog for over 14 years, the first 6 of those years I was living in the family home. I have had my own dog, Mambo, for over 4 years and am well versed in dog care - I have been taking care of friends and family dogs for years. I absolutely love dogs and am more than happy to help other dog owners where I can as I know it can be challenging to get the right care at the right time. I WFH 2-3 days a week so am able to take care of your dog in my property during those days and on some weekends. I can also pop in (if local) and complete pet checks, dog walks and feeding around my work schedule. This varies week to week but if you are looking for a regular drop in I can let you know where my working week is mostly free. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays are mostly my WFH days. Please note that for any dog services provided in my own home my own dog Mambo will be around, and in some cases if needing to go to your property my dog Mambo will be coming along - please let me know if this would be an issue. He is 4 years and has been neutured and is super friendly. I am offering my pet care services in both my own home and your (the owners) home. I have a bungalow with a patio garden and am very local to Bookham common and surrounding parks. My home is dog friendly and dogs are allowed on the sofa, and I have a wet room if they need cleaning up. I am experienced in double checking locks, using alarm codes and general safety in the home to ensure your home is kept safe and secure. I will send updates confirming actions that have been taken and confirming the house has been made secure.

Whether it’s a lively puppy or a sweet senior dog, I’m more than happy to offer the extra care and attention they need. I’ve been dog sitting for years and have always loved being surrounded by dogs of all breeds and sizes. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’d love to hear from you! With cats, I understand their individual personalities and needs, and I make sure to provide a calm and loving environment for each cat. Whether they enjoy cuddles, playtime, or just lounging around, I’ll ensure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable during their time with me. For dogs: I always make sure to adapt my schedule to match your dog’s usual routine, as I know how important it is for them to feel at ease while you're away. Whether it’s feeding times, walks, or nap schedules, I’ll make sure they feel right at home and as comfortable as possible. For cats: I’m flexible and will adapt to your cat’s usual routine, whether it’s feeding times, playtime, or quiet moments. I ensure their day stays as close to normal as possible so they feel at ease and comfortable. For Dogs: In my home, I have a fully fenced, secure garden where your dog can safely roam, play, and enjoy the outdoors. It’s a peaceful space where they can stretch their legs and feel at ease, with no worries where we can play for hours on end if the weather is nice. Inside, your dog will have access to cosy areas to relax, whether it’s curling up on a comfy bed or having some quiet time. I’ll make sure they have a space where they feel secure and comfortable whilst also having access to lots of toys. For Cats: I will always ensure that your cat will have a peaceful, quiet space to relax. I always ensure their litter tray is clean and fresh, and I provide lots of love and attention, tailored to their preferences. If I’m looking after your cat in your home, I’ll keep things exactly as they like it.
About: Hi, I’m new to Rover but not new to dogs. I’ve owned and cared for two dogs in the past, so I understand the day-to-day responsibilities of keeping a dog happy, healthy, and active. Whether it’s feeding, walking, playing, or just keeping them company, I’d be happy to help. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pet with the same attention and care I gave my own, please do reach out! I’m currently having a career break before pursuing a PhD so have the time and flexibility to accommodate yours and your dogs needs, regardless of timings. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow any care instructions closely and make sure pets are in a secure, calm environment—whether we’re at home or out on a walk. You can count on clear communication from me, including regular updates and photos (if desired) so you know how things are going. I treat every dog with the same care and attention I gave my own, and I want you to feel confident knowing your pet is in good hands.
About: I started out by walking dogs for my neighbours after school, about 22 years ago. I was paid £1 per week, which increased to £2 eventually! For the last 10 years, I have been providing reliable pet care for dogs and cats of different sizes and breeds. My priority is not only in guaranteeing the necessary nurturing for a pet but also building a strong emotional bond with them and ensuring safety. I have been a cat owner for most of my life. My animals are so loved and cared for, and yours will be too. I believe quality pet care is a combination of comprehensive essential care, safe environment and building a strong emotional bond, where pets feel loved and secure. I am available to house sitting, walks and visits. I can take lots of walks in the day with your dog, play games, work on commands, stick to schedules if needed. My day rate reflects full responsibility, routine care and availability, rather than hourly time. This also includes one 30 minute walk. If your pet requires more/longer walks in that time, this will be an additional charge which i am happy to discuss. I can be available 7 days a week and can work remotely most of the time. I also manage my own work diary so I can be flexible around your dogs schedule and needs. I may need to run our for work errands, but most of the time, pets under my nurturing are never left alone for long. While sitting your pet in your home, instructions will always be kept to. Just as much respect will be given to your home as your pet. Security of your home will be maintained. Your pet's needs will always come first.

About: I have looked after and helped take care of animals for many years and I absolutely love it. I really enjoy the process of building a connection with an animal and getting to know them. During my travels over the last couple of years I have looked after a whole variety of dogs and cats. I am always very active and so love taking dogs for walks, runs or hikes. While I also love to relax, play and cuddle with them too. I would say I particularly connect with bigger more active dogs but the smaller ones also have a place in my heart. I brought up a Labrador puppy and have gained more experience with training all sorts of dogs, finding it easy to have the patience required to train them. I have built my best connections with cats over the last five years, also looking after stray cats along my travels whenever possible. I find connecting with them and really understanding a particular cats personality comes naturally to me. I’m always more at peace with them around. I am just coming back from travelling the last two years and have decided to just pet sit for the rest of this year. This way I can keep my schedule flexible and spend as much time with animals as possible when I am looking after them. I’m always one to get up and out early especially if the dogs need more than one walk.In my spare time I’m playing music and learning new instruments which keeps me flexible to walk and give attention to pets throughout the day. I love to exercise outdoors, take walks and go for runs, dogs can join for all of these. It’s always a pleasure to have the company and go for extra walks! I have a fenced garden so dogs can spend as much time outside as they like, roaming between here and indoors. There is a good size park across the road for small walks and running around off the lead. Cats can also venture around here safely. From home I can walk to Epsom/Ashtead common for longer walks and more time off the lead. Within a 10 minute drive I can be on Epsom Downs or Horton Country Park, while slightly further there is Headley Heath. This makes it easy to give them a whole variety of walks. If I am to be staying at your place I will be just as keen for many walks. With this being my primary work I will find it easy to give your pets the attention and love they desire. I don’t currently have any pets so at mine your pets would have the place to themselves with me.
“Ariana’s first time meeting with our dogs could not have gone better. She is very experienced in dealing with anxious big dogs and I felt completely at ease with her walking mine. She is a lovely, interesting person and I look forward to her looking after our dogs in the future”

“Hunter had a great time making a new friend and took full advantage of the safe outdoor space to play in! He was cared for perfectly and we were given plenty of updates to see just how much fun he was having without us! 😅 Hunter can't wait for his next holiday with Bruce and family!”

“We couldn’t have been happier with the care our dog received! Lacey looked after Harley as if he were her own—plenty of walks, cuddles, and updates that gave us total peace of mind while we were away. It was clear from the start that she truly loves dogs and knows how to make them feel safe and happy. We came home to a very content pup and would absolutely recommend Lacey to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and attentive dog sitter.”

“Sophie provided an exceptional service for our dog Buzz. Incredible communication with loads of photo updates throughout his stay. “We can’t rate Georgie and Steve highly enough. They looked after Max like he was part of their family and sent us loads of videos and photos so we wouldn’t worry or miss him too much. He was beautifully clean (as were his bed and all his toys), settled and happy when we picked him up. It’s a beautiful location for walks and George and Steve kept Max cool during the heat wave by walking him in shady areas and finding places for the dogs to swim. We will definitely leave Max with them again!”

“Amanda has paid attention to every detail whilst looking after my dog . He really had a good 2 weeks with her and enjoyed socialising with the other dogs. Amanda sent wonderful pictures of my dog and I could tell he was relaxed and happy and having a holiday too ! I completely recommend Amanda as a kind and professional dog boarder .”
