About: I have had 6 cats, 2 dogs, 3 guinea pigs, 2 hamsters and 4 chickens of my own who I have looked after with the upmost care. I have a lot of experience in caring for family friends pets while they have been away on holiday or if they just need me to pop in for a feed and a walk. One of my dogs was a high energy big dog, he had severe separation anxiety so I have experience in dogs with specific needs, I have full understanding of pets who need a little extra love and attention and I have the patience to provide that for them. I understand it can be an anxious time to leave them alone while you leave the house and my family used Rover sitters/walkers for our anxious dog so I would love to give back and provide that same help that I received for you. All of my pets I have rescued from fairly young and nurtured them until their old age, so I know full well that when animals get older they will need extra help or attention to help them go about their days. I have so much love for animals and I would be honoured to care for your pet and ease your mind while you're at work or away. I am currently freelance so I have all the time in the world to provide the most care and attention for your pet. I unfortunately am unable to board animals at my home as I have a young kitten but I drive and will visit you at your home if that suits your schedule. While I can't host your pets at my home I have full awareness of what needs to be in place to keep your pet safe. She tried to run with Ruth (which is great!) but Ruth was a little too naughty/jumpy. Maybe next time, as Ruth’s energy is never ending! About: “I’m a reliable and attentive pet lover with hands-on experience caring for animals for family and friends. I previously raised and cared for my own dog from a young age, helping with basic puppy training, daily walks, feeding, and playtime. I’ve also looked after a friend’s dog for a weekend while they were away and currently care for my parents’ cats during their holidays. I focus on building trust with both pets and their owners by keeping to their routines, being patient and attentive to each pet’s personality, and providing regular updates and photos so owners feel reassured while they’re away. I always treat every pet with the same care and attention I would give my own. I work from home 3 out of 5 day a week. I’m available for walks and feeding during the week. Throughout the weekend I can do overnight stays, as well as walks and feeding through the weekend. For overnight stays I would need at least 7 days notice so I can plan ahead. When caring for pets in the owner’s home, I make sure to follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. This includes feeding them at their normal times, taking dogs out for walks and exercise, and making sure they have plenty of playtime and attention. I also keep their living areas clean, such as refreshing water, cleaning litter trays for cats, and ensuring everything is tidy. I’m very respectful of the owner’s home and always communicate with updates and photos so they feel reassured that their pet is happy and well looked after while they’re away.

“If you are looking for the best person to care for your pet - look no further than Mary. Mary has just looked after our very senior dog, getting used to her 'ways' without any problem. Poppy had a paw problem during this time and the care Mary gave her was amazing - including much patience and perseverance giving her antibiotics. All this during the very hot weather which is not easy for anyone let alone a dog! We were kept up to date very regularly with messages and photos and it was very reassuring to know how happy she was. I would not hesitate to ask Mary again if we need care for Poppy and would recommend her to all.”

About: I looked after my little dog Sandy ever since I was a wee girl. We grew up together and became the best of friends. Before that, there was Nibbles and 5 other degus (a type of rodent), 2 gerbils, and a neighbour’s cat who quite frankly adopted us. I had the amazing opportunity to watch one of the degus give birth, and hold her newborn as it fell asleep in my arms. I love going on walks and regularly hike around Guildford, it would be amazing to have a four-legged companion! I am currently enjoying a break from studying, so my schedule is mostly free, but come September I will be attending university and partaking in societies that may take up some evenings. I am very happy to do all the things your pet is used to and attend to all of their needs. Walking, feeding, training, administering medication, playing etc. are all things I am capable of and expect to do.
About: I grew up 2 dogs since the age of 10 and have loved them ever since. They are my pride and joy. I slept with them, walked them, trained them and basically did everything with them my whole life. Almost all of my family have owned dogs their whole lives and so have spent most of my life caring for them. This means I can give your dog my full attention, whether that’s for walks, playtime or overnight stays. I’m also available during school holidays and half terms, so I can offer more flexible care during those times. When I’m with your pet, they will have plenty of attention, exercise and company. Your dog will be cared for in a calm, safe and comfortable flat that’s kept at a cool, pleasant temperature. I live close to a large field, which is perfect for regular walks and giving dogs space to run and explore. Your baby will also have a place outside my flat where they can have regular toilet breaks, supervised by myself. Having owned and cared for my own dog for 7 years, I understand how important it is to treat every pet with patience, kindness and attention, just as I would my own.

It was wonderful to have Lucy taking care of Ziggy and our house. We left our house clean and very tidy, and when we returned , we found it in exactly the same condition. Having met Fiona previously for a meet and greet we felt confident that she was the perfect person to look after our two Labradors. We booked her to dog-sit while we were out for the day/evening.
