“We reached out to Sonia to assist us in looking after Theo a few times a week moving forward. Our experience with Sonia so far has been nothing short of incredible. She is highly professional, accommodating, and flexible, catering to your specific needs. Theo absolutely adores visiting Sonia and playing with her dog as well. It’s incredibly reassuring to know that our furry friend is in safe hands. We will definitely be using Sonia for the foreseeable future. :) Priya”

“Nadezda was amazing! I needed a very last minute place for our dog Gus to stay for a day, and Nadezda was available, very friendly and extremely accommodating. If we lived closer we'd definitely be using her more frequently”

“Natalija looked after Bodhi for the first time yesterday and he didn’t want to go home. He kept running back to their house 🤣. Bodhi came home happy and exhausted. Thank you so much.”

“Emily was exceptional with Apollo, making him feel comfortable and updating me with pictures. She made it smooth for me as this was my first time leaving him with someone he wasn’t familiar with. I would recommend and will be using again.”

“Amandeep really looked after my two boys and they had a great time. The weather was really bad today so she made sure they had the best time inside. Look forward to having her look after my boys again!”

About: I’m a passionate animal lover with hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I’ve had two dogs of my own, and currently still care for one, so I understand the responsibility and love that goes into looking after pets. I’ve also helped my neighbour by caring for her cat while she’s away, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable in their home. I’m especially good with dogs—I enjoy training them, understanding their needs, and making sure they get plenty of exercise and attention. I love going on walks, taking dogs out for fresh air, and even bringing them along to pet-friendly cafés and shops. I’m reliable, patient, and treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m not currently working and I’m home full time. I wouldn’t leave the dogs on their own. I never leave mine on his own unless I need to go somewhere in an emergency, and that’s only if I can’t take him with me otherwise I’m always home I have a fenced garden with access through the back kitchen door where they can go for potty and play if the weather is nice. I have no children’s and not many visitors. It’s just me and my little doggy.

About: I have always had family dogs of various shapes and sizes. Caring for them when their older and making sure they feel loved, safe and comfortable. I have experience with giving dog medicines and with elderly or nervous dogs. I've owned a rescue and brought up two dogs from being puppies. I recently lost our family dog and we aren't in a position to have our own dog right now, so looking to get my fix by helping care for my neighbours pooches. I have a hamster who is in a moveable enclosures (it has wheels) so happy to move her out of the room if needed. I'm a believer in dogs in the sofa for a cuddle (as long as they don't have muddy paws) I have a sofa in the office for them to sit with me if they would like to and a fully fenced and enclosed garden and a park nearby for nice walks if staying for the day I work a hybrid job so can't have a dog if my own at the moment, so I'll have to settle with giving your pooch all my love! Happy to come and visit to give some attention, play time and to take on walks. If it's a weeknight I'm usually around We have an open plan downstairs where dogs can happily roam about, and come on the sofa for some love and attention. As long as they are toilet trained I'm happy for them to stay in the bedroom if that's where they are most comfortable overnight. We have a small garden and live opposite a big park. I can drive, so happy to make house calls to keep your pups company too or take them out locally
“Bob had a lovely time when he was recently looked after by Millicent. He was a little nervous when he went in but we were sent plenty of updates to show him settling in well and making himself comfortable. It was a very hot day and he was kept cool on short shaded walks.”

“My dog Pepe loved Helen from the moment he met her and I think she is great too! I wanted a person that could treat Pepe as part of the family. She is calm, patient and caring. He has been living his best life with Helen whilst I have to work. Helen took the time to understand our needs and make sure Pepe had all the care he needs. He has separation anxiety but he is completely happy with Helen!”

“Sam was really great for day care with our sometimes nervous whippet Flash and his owners! Fun, mixed and social walks, and lots of rest and cuddles in between. Great and frequent communication, with lots of photos and thoughtful touches to ensure Flash had an enriching, exhausting and well cared for day. Sam also picked and dropped off Flash which was super handy, and she ensured everything could be done to build and reassure us with access to our house. Her experience, insight, calmness with all juggling and asks was very appreciated and took lots of pressure off ensuring Flash was 150% looked after, very well. Thank you! Can’t wait to rebook!”

“We feel very lucky to have found Rosie and Lucy to look after our labradoodle Bobbi. Rosie was very communicative and shared photos. Bobbi can be timid at times but we could tell when we picked her up she was happy and had lots of cuddles. Thanks Rosie. Bobbi hopes to see you soon!”

About: I’ve owned dogs my whole life, all of whom have been springer spaniels so I know how to handle an energetic pup! Friends and family have therefore relied on me for dogsitting, dog walking, and general loving of their pups. I’m used to pups of all ages from babies to elderly, energetic to lazy, and I love giving every single one of them all the treats and love that they deserve. I’ve recently moved away from home so don’t have any dogs living with me, and would love some little friends to keep me company. I currently work from home, so have all day to spend with your pup. I like to get outside for walks to break up my days, so your pup would be very well cared for while they’re with me. I have a small fenced patio area, which your dog is welcome to roam around and use for the toilet. My house is pet friendly, and I have dog toys that they can play with.
“Emma was nothing short of fantastic! It was late notice and it was a long day as I needed to be in the city with an event after work. Great comms with pictures and Ronnie had 2 walks which was amazing. Thank you Emma!”

“Ben is a great sitter. He looked after kola for us for a few days and he was very communicative throughout the day and kept us posted with photos and small updates which was great. We’ll certainly be using Ben in the future again and I’m sure kola is already looking forward to spending time with Ben again”

I can't recommend Maryna enough! My senior little dog, Orbi, absolutely loves going with her. He suffers from separation anxiety, but Maryna was incredibly patient, gentle, and understanding with him throughout the entire stay. It gives me such peace of mind knowing he's in such great hands. A well-deserved 5 stars!

Rachel was fantastic with our new rescue dog - clearly an animal lover through and through. He had a great time and is laid on the having a well earned snooze. She was able to take him on short notice and work around our schedule which were so grateful for. Would recommend her in a heartbeat x

I'm very happy with the care my dog received! The communication was excellent-always quick responses and great engagement. While l was away, I regularly received photos and videos, which made me feel calm knowing my pet was in good hands. My dog came back happy, well looked after, and full of energy. It's clear that the caregiver truly loves animals and treats them as their own. I wholeheartedly recommend!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

She’s awesome! I’ve brought my Paquita a few times and she always comes back super tired from playing. She’s got a really friendly pup too, and they get along so well with other dogs. Her mom is super sweet as well. Definitely bringing my pup back—100% recommend!

We could tell that Nori took an instant liking to Erin and was comfortable in her home. We especially appreciated the meet and greet because any anxiousness we had quickly went away. We also appreciated the pics/ videos shared on the day. Would be happy to leave Nori with Erin again

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Slough commute.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
