About: I've owned, looked after, and been around various dogs since I was a teenager (many years ago now), including terriers, GSDs, border collies, daschunds, and labradors. I have a fun friendly shepsky who loves being around other dogs.. big or small.. lounging about the house, chilling in the back garden, playing sniff hide and seek, fetch, or a walk through the woods or a run in the field. This is a family home, and I mostly work from home, so can only offer pet care on the days I am at home. The family have a friendly dog, so walks and doggy company is guaranteed, with 1-2 hours of exercise each day. To the rear od the house there is a good sized fenced lawned garden with plenty of shrubs, bushes, trees, and shaded areas, as well as access to downstairs rooms in the house. There are always bowls of fresh water inside and outside, as well as toys to run after, find, and chew. We encourage our furry friends to chill out on dog beds and rugs instead of (human) furniture.

About: I grew up with family dogs and, for the past two years, have been raising and training my own Shiba Inu. I’m also available most weekends, allowing me to dedicate even more time to your pet’s care and ensure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while you’re away. Whether caring for pets in my home or in their owner’s home, I aim to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I take the time to learn about each pet’s individual needs, including feeding schedules, exercise requirements, favourite activities, and any special instructions. I have a friendly Shiba Inu who loves meeting and playing with other dogs. For social dogs, this can provide an excellent opportunity for companionship and playtime throughout the day. Of course, I always introduce dogs carefully and make sure they are comfortable with one another. I provide plenty of attention, exercise, walks, and enrichment, while also ensuring pets have a safe and comfortable space to relax. I understand how important it is for owners to feel confident while they’re away, so I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos. My goal is for every pet to feel happy, secure, and part of the family while in my care.

We could not have picked a better sitter!!! This is the first time we have left Goose and from the very start Emily ensured we felt confident and reassured. Having a trial run overnight to start was a huge help, and the regular updates and photos shared daily made the world of difference. With the warm summer weather, Emily had Goose out twice a day in the cooler hours and took him to the local lake to cool off. She gave him wagu beef (spolit!) and all the love and attention he deserves and is used to. He is a big dog and very strong, but this wasn't an issue at all. Picking Goose up he pawed at Emily in a way that showed he had bonded with her and enjoyed his time. Emily will now be our go-to for all of Goose's boarding needs and we will be sending strong recommendations to all our dog parent pals if they are ever in need. 10/10!!! Thank you Emily. X
Finding a sitter who can handle our temperamental Beagle is always a challenge, but Caroline was a brilliant match from the moment we met her. She's calm and unflappable, genuinely connects with the dogs in her care, and her home has such a warm, homely feel. We were away for two and a half weeks, and Caroline sent regular updates the whole time, which meant so much to us. Our dog settled in quickly and had lots of attention, good company from the other dogs (without being overwhelmed), and plenty of walks throughout her stay. We'd recommend Caroline without hesitation and will definitely be booking with her again!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
