“Katie has been absolutely fantastic from start to end. She gave us reassurance over the settings (house and garden) as having a rescue dog, we were a bit worried our dog may want to get out. But Katie went the extra mile and measured and photographed her fence and also used a tracking device on our pooch. I truly felt our dog had an amazing holiday too whilst we were away. The whole family has looked after her brilliantly and cared for her as if they were her owners. I was also amazed by how highly communicative Katie has been the whole time with pictures and videos. I would definitely recommend Katie to others but also we will use her services in the future.”

About: I've owned, looked after, and been around various dogs since I was a teenager (many years ago now), including terriers, GSDs, border collies, daschunds, and labradors. I have a fun friendly shepsky who loves being around other dogs.. big or small.. lounging about the house, chilling in the back garden, playing sniff hide and seek, fetch, or a walk through the woods or a run in the field. This is a family home, and I mostly work from home, so can only offer pet care on the days I am at home. The family have a friendly dog, so walks and doggy company is guaranteed, with 1-2 hours of exercise each day. To the rear od the house there is a good sized fenced lawned garden with plenty of shrubs, bushes, trees, and shaded areas, as well as access to downstairs rooms in the house. There are always bowls of fresh water inside and outside, as well as toys to run after, find, and chew. We encourage our furry friends to chill out on dog beds and rugs instead of (human) furniture.

About: We’re Taylor and Frankie, both dog lovers and central Caversham based. I’ve grown up with family dogs and I feel comfortable looking after them and taking them on walks. We’re very patient with pets and can easily match their playful energy, knowing exactly the kind of attention they need. You’re in trusted paws. Me and my partner mostly work from home and have very flexible schedules, so we have plenty of time to give your dog the attention they need and give them decent walks, and lots of playtime. We live in a spacious ground floor 1 bedroom flat, with communal garden access via our back door. If your dog wishes to go outside we will put them on a lead. A large park is a 2 min walk away, which is perfect for daily walks, on and off lead depending on owners preference. Most of the neighbours in our building also have dogs so they are very welcome.

They truly went the extra mile to make sure all of Nessa’s individual needs were taken care of, and we really appreciated the time, attention, patience, and kindness they gave her throughout her stay. Nessa also had the loveliest time bonding with Mae, their gorgeous Whippet, and the two of them got on so well! It was so lovely to see how happy and settled Nessa was. Veena and her partner took very good care of Prince . They were very helpful and accomidating when it came to meet and greet ,drop off and pickup .I would have no issue recommending Veena to others potential clients of hers and will definitely be using Veena in the future when the need arise.
Flo had a lovely time when she went to stay for a couple of nights with Vanessa and her partner. Vanessa kept me updated on how she was doing and even managed to get her to eat her meals as usually she struggles when she’s away from home. Thanks again guys for looking after our girl 🐶
Charlene and Toby took such good care of Honey: lots of walks and cuddles. She came home very relaxed and had clearly enjoyed her stay. The updates and photos were much appreciated- knowing Honey was happy meant we could enjoy our break too. Huge thanks to you both for your kindness too when our travel plans were disrupted. Eli stayed with Ana and Carlos while we were away, and we couldn’t have been happier with the care she received. Had Kendrick stay with Molly over the weekend, and as always, he came back happy, chilled, and clearly well looked after. He’s been to her a few times now, and we’ve never had a single issue — she’s consistently reliable, genuinely cares, and clearly understands dogs. Communication is spot on. I get regular pupdates throughout his stay, and it’s great seeing him settled, snoozing, or playing in the house.
Charlotte and Leigh are the perfect sitters! They took care of my small dog, Rosie, in a way that eased all of my worries and I knew she was in the best hands. They were easy to communicate with and flexible when we needed it. Rosie had a great time and I would recommend anyone to use Charlotte for their dogsitting needs.
We left Rolex at Craig’s for our holidays and he was looked after superbly. Rolex is just 4 months old so we were an axions bunch but Craig and his wife put as at ease quickly with regular updates and fun photos ! Plus Rolex enjoyed the company of their little doggy ;-) Craig was also flexible with pick up’s and drop off’s which proved quite helpful . Very easy to deal with and overall a pleasant experience , we would definitely be going back ahead of our next holidays

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
