“It’s a very nice experience with Erinoulla and family. We have a 3months old puppy, Daisy and we were very nervous to keep her with anyone. But Erinoulla is very experienced and trustworthy and she kept our puppy like we keep her at our home. Erinoulla kept sending me videos and photos of Daisy during her stay with Daisy…? I appreciate her every effort to keep me and Daisy happy. She is a lovely lady and we definitely contact her again in near future when we’ll go abroad. Last but not the least, Ruby is a lovely member of Erinoulla’s family who put up with Daisy during those days and they formed a bond with each other…?? Love from all of us to Ruby, the gentle giant ?”

About: We are very much a dog-loving family, fortunate enough to own our own gorgeous fox terrier, Betsy, who is now 12. We have owned and loved dogs our whole lives and would love to welcome another dog into our home for sitting or walking services. My passion is being out in nature, and Betsy and I walk every day - so your dog will be well exercised, well loved, and in excellent company. We live in Bisham, with easy access to the river, beautiful woodland, and open fields, so there's no shortage of wonderful walks whatever the season. Our home has a large, fully fenced garden where dogs can roam freely and safely, and the house itself is a calm, relaxed environment where dogs are genuinely part of the family. Betsy is a gentle, sociable soul who still enjoys playing with other dogs. You can leave your dog with us knowing they'll be treated exactly as we treat our own - with lots of fuss, fresh air, and a proper routine. I work from home, part-time, so I have plenty of time to give a visiting dog proper attention and company throughout the day. I take Betsy out every morning, so your dog will slot into a good daily routine with a proper walk, garden time, and plenty of fuss. I only ever take one dog at a time with Betsy, so your dog will always have my full attention - never lost in a crowd. Our home has a large, fully fenced garden where dogs can roam freely and safely, and Betsy is a calm, friendly companion who enjoys playing with other dogs. Dogs are treated exactly as we treat our own.

“I have nothing but positive feedback for Beth. On a personal level a lovely lady who communicated with me daily with photos and updates on how Duggie was doing. In the midst of the relentless heatwave, she really kept an eye on him and made every effort to keep him as cool as possible with very (!) early morning walks, cool bedding and even a fan. I couldn't be more grateful and it is obvious that Duggie enjoyed his time with her. Will be rebooking soon and highly recommend.”

“Leo loved spending time with Dalia and her lovey family. He settled in very quick and went for lots of walks and had loads of fun in there garden. Thank you for taking care of him.”

I was lucky enough that Yamini accepted a very last minute booking and took care of Charlie for the night. Yamini sent loads of pictures and updates throughout the stay and made me feel so at ease. Would definitely be happy with Charlie returning - thank you so much!

This is the third time that Louise has looked after Astrid and again she has cared for Astrid so lovingly. She cares for Astrid as if she were own and it’s lovely that whenever I drop her off she is relaxed. I love the updates and when I pick her up Astrid is happy. Thank you for looking after her it’s her doggy holiday too.

Jessica took wonderful care of Baloo. She reply and sent me photos constantly. She followed all the instructions I gave her. Baloo had a lot of fun with Scooby. She's really good and knowledgeable, and very capable of interpreting Baloo's needs. I would definitely recommend her.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
- Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
