“We had such a fantastic experience with Rahul as Mylo's sitter. From the start, they listened carefully to Mylo’s needs and really took the time to understand his routine and personality. It was clear they genuinely cared about making him feel comfortable and safe. I was quite nervous beforehand because Mylo can be a little unsure around new people, but I honestly didn’t need to worry at all. Rahul was amazing with him and handled everything so patiently and thoughtfully. Communication throughout was fantastic – I really appreciated the updates and it was so reassuring to know Mylo was happy and well looked after. When we picked him up, he was clearly relaxed and content. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again and would highly recommend Rahul to anyone looking for a caring, reliable dog sitter.”

“Joe has just looked after my border collie Buddy for an overnight stay. He was in regular contact with me throughout the time he had Buddy and sent me some lovely pics to put my mind at rest. I would definately use Joe again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

“This was our first time using Rover as we wanted a better experience for Bailey while we were away on holiday. Our experience with Rover, Samantha and her lovely family was nothing but positive. Communication was great and Bailey obviously had a very positive experience. He was treated like a family pet during his stay and we are all very appreciative of the love, care and attention he received. Five stars without a doubt.”

About: Hi, I’m a dog lover based in Aylesbury with a lifetime of experience caring for dogs. I have always had dogs as part of my family and genuinely enjoy their companionship and unique personalities. I provide a safe, loving home environment where dogs are treated like part of the family. I work from home most days, so dogs are rarely left alone for long periods and receive plenty of attention, affection, and supervision throughout the day. I offer regular walks, playtime, feeding according to your instructions, and can accommodate individual routines and special requirements. I have a fenced garden, all outdoor time is closely supervised, and dogs are always kept safe on leads where appropriate. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I provide regular updates and photos to give owners peace of mind while they are away. Your dog’s happiness, safety, and comfort are always my priority. 🐾❤️ I am home for most of the day, apart from school runs and short errands. Dogs are rarely left alone for more than 1–2 hours and receive plenty of companionship, supervision, exercise, and affection throughout their stay. I can adapt to your dog’s usual routine, including feeding times, walk schedules, and any special requirements. I have a fenced garden and live in a quite green area in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire Dogs staying in my home are treated like part of the family. I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment where they can relax and feel comfortable. I follow each dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special requirements.
“Ambrose spent a very happy 10 nights with Beth & he couldn’t have been happier. He was taken on lots of wonderful walks & we were sent photos and videos of him every day, which we loved to see. Knowing that Ambrose was being so well looked after enabled my Wife and I to completely relax and enjoy our holiday. I couldn’t recommend Beth more to ensure your doggie has a proper ‘home away from home’ with an amazing host!”

“Felt confident I was leaving Benji in capable hands and he was very much welcomed into the family. Considering he can be anxious when left, after just one day he seemed to have settled. Planned in for Summer holiday boarding.”

“We were so worried leaving our 3month old puppy, but Guy and his family were so welcoming when we met them, and have a lovely home. We were given so much reassurance from as soon as we booked with Guy that Maverick would be fine. Guy gave us daily updates on Maverick and it looked like he had the best time too. We will definitely be using Guy again and would 100% recommend him and his family.”

“Gemma and her family watched our Dachshund while we were out of the country for two weeks. Her communication was excellent in setting up the booking and doing a meet and greet and a single night stay beforehand. Gemma sent regular and detailed updates/photos while we were away. We were really nervous about leaving our dog as she had surgery a few weeks before our trip but Gemma was great with giving her medication and making sure we felt comfortable leaving her. My dog got along very well with Gemma's Bailey and they had a great time playing while we were away. I'm sure my pup would be happy going back to Gemma's anytime and I will definitely be rebooking her. I would highly recommend Gemma for any pet sitting needs! Thanks so much Gemma! Delta looks forward to seeing you again soon! <3”

“We couldn't be happier with our experience with Liz! It was our first time boarding our dog and we were naturally quite nervous about doing so, but we had no reason to worry at all. Dorian was clearly very happy and chilled out in her home and company. Liz was able to come and meet Dorian quickly to ensure they were a good fit and invited us to visit her home beforehand to help him settle when the time came. During the boarding she kept us regularly updated and at no point during our time away did we feel the need to worry about him. Really positive experience and we'll definitely return to Liz for any future dog sitting we may need. Highly recommended :)”

“Senali and family were so welcoming and lovely, they had Jeffrey for nearly 2 days and despite his initial separation anxiety he had a great time with them and their dog Bella! Senali sent many photos and updates which helped too! Will definitely send Jeffrey there again!”

“Claudia was absolutely fantastic. Easy to communicate with, flexible and Archie seemed to have an absolute blast . We have used her a few times now and would recommend to anyone else!!!!!!”

“Steven has looked after Poppy for 4 days, we had regular updates and was exercised very well. He is an outdoor person and Poppy had a great time with lots of outdoor time. Poppy was the only dog so got lots of attention and fuss. Steven looked after Poppy as if she was his. Very trusting and will use Steven again in the future. Would highly recommend Steven's care.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Leaving our elderly dog for two weeks was a big deal for us, but Maddi and her partner immediately put us at ease and made us feel confident he was in the safest, kindest hands. He needs medication, and they handled everything brilliantly while keeping us updated with regular messages and the loveliest photos of him enjoying walks and snuggling with their dogs. It meant so much to see how relaxed and cared for he was while we were away. We were especially grateful for their flexibility and understanding when our return flights were delayed. They went above and beyond to help us out. We came home to a happy, well-looked-after boy. Highly recommended.”

“Margarita is absolutely amazing. Cody had a lovely trial session (including night) before the actual one week stay. She made us feel so comfortable straight away with her mannerisms towards Cody. She is a true dog lover I would say. Would never take Cody anywhere else. Lots of pictures and communication from her side, just an absolute pleasure dealing with her. My daughter(3)also loved coming to her home when picking up our dog, we felt very welcomed and not rushed at all. Margarita shared all the info about the stay, was very happy with her care in overall. Thank you Margarita”

About: I had my own small dog walking business before joining university for a few months and that was my introduction into professional dog walking and I absolutely loved it! I have pet sat for friends and family’s pets many times. My partner and I have a small but safe, comfortable and warm home which would love to welcome your pets too! We live right next to a massive park, perfect for doggy walks or we are happy to travel to places your doggies are comfortable with. We are very friendly and happy people, I am care assistant and my partner is a detective in the police. I have worked in a pet shop as a pet care advisor and I love to keep up my education on animals and their welfare. My partner is currently doing a dog training course. I’d love to hear from you with any questions☺️ I’m currently available all week but as I am starting my care job soon I will likely be working four days a week, likely the morning shifts but I will update this as soon as I know my official schedule. We have a secure, fenced garden for regular toilet breaks and supervised outdoor time, and we’re just a short walk from a large park – perfect for longer walks, sniffing adventures and exercise.
“Anna, her family and her dog Millie couldn’t have been more welcoming to Ronnie. He settled right in, and I knew he was going to be well looked after. Their home is beautiful, with ample space for the dogs to run around in the garden and snooze in the lounge. Millie (Anna’s dog) is gentle but playful, a perfect match for Ronnie’s cheeky personality and I think he’s missing her company since. Anna was incredibly attentive seeking to understand how best to care for Ron and after I met her I knew I could trust her to make him feel right at home and look after him. We will definitely be contacting Anna again!”

“Sam is great with my dachshund. This was my 2nd booking with her and my dog couldn't wait to get to her door as she knows she'll be given all the attention at her home. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Mavis had a lovely time with plenty of walks and fuss. Duke was very patient with Mavis and even let her sleep on the Bed! Thankyou for all the lovely photos and for taking such good care of her.”

Crumpet really enjoyed his stay with Julie. He is not used to staying with other people but he settled in well and was happy and comfortable. He enjoyed lovely walks and was kept cool when it was very hot. Julie provided regular updates and pictures. We were able to enjoy our holiday as we knew that Crumpet was being well cared for, given lots of attention and was happy. Thank you Julie

Margarita was a wonderful host. She made sure Bella was settled and comfortable before I left, which immediately put my mind at ease. She asked all the right questions about Bella’s routine, habits and needs. Margarita’s dog was also adorable and very friendly with Bella. There is a safe, secure garden where the dogs can play, and Margarita sent me regular photos and videos throughout Bella’s stay. She was also very flexible with the drop-off and collection arrangements. I would highly recommend Margarita and would happily leave Bella with her again.

Rebecca was lovely & Flick had a great time! Rebecca had Flick during a heatwave and was so happy and willing to adapt to early walks, using a wet flannel and playing with her frozen toys. I got lovely pictures of Flick enjoying herself and she came back really happy. I would definitely book with Rebecca again. Both her and her partner were really friendly and lovely with both me and Flick!

This is the second time I’ve left my two dogs in the care at Karen’s home overnight. She and her family go out of their way to comfort, settle, exercise, and play with the dogs to ensure they are happy. She is an absolute professional and a lovely person. Both my dogs can take a while to settle with new people and demand lots of attention. I feel so comfortable leaving my dogs in her very capable and experienced hands. Karen sent lots of updates and pictures throughout the day too which I really appreciated. Thank you so much.

Alan was a great host for Stanley. Felt more than comfortable leaving him with Alan. Lots of posts and pics sent. On return and picking our dog up it was clear to everyone that Stanley had had a great time and had a very happy stay with people who clearly love dogs. Thankyou Alan.
Biscuit had a wonderful stay with Jessica and Ben! From the moment we arrived, he was completely comfortable and settled in right away as if he had been there before. Jessica and Ben are incredibly kind and welcoming. They immediately made Biscuit feel loved and at home, and he took to them right away. Seeing how happy and relaxed he was put me completely at ease and made me feel very comfortable leaving him in their care. Communication throughout his stay was excellent. I loved receiving updates and photos, and it was so reassuring to hear how well he was doing. Jessica and Ben are a lovely couple with a wonderful home, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional care for their pet. I would book with them again in a heartbeat. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!

Our dog really enjoyed her stay with Rahul. I think she had a great time and many walks and cuddles. Rahul was looking after a couple of other dogs and I think overall our dog benefitted from that. She missed her playmates when she got home. Rahul sent us regular updates and photos. Rahul was in touch with us when he had queries.

Thea has been great. She offered for Ebony to meet with her at her house before Ebony went to stay just to help familiarise her with the surroundings. Thea also was able to accommodate providing a crate for Ebony to sleep in, to maintain her sleep routine. Ebony loved playing with Poppy, Thea’s dog and they had a really fab weekend together. I felt totally at ease having Thea look after Ebony and didn’t worry one bit. I knew my pup would be very at home and that’s exactly what happened. Highly recommend!

Larry had his first overnight stay with Danielle and Sean this weekend he had a lovely time, we had a meet and greet a couple of weeks before hand and Larry was happy to return, we had regular updates so knew he was happy to be there. I would highly recommend and look forward to his next stay with them. Thank you so much
Tadiwanashe [Casey] took great care of my dog Mylo with kindness, patience, and attention, and I had complete peace of mind knowing he was in capable hands. Mylo really liked Casey, which says everything, and he was calm, content, and clearly well cared for when I returned. Communication was good throughout, and I always felt informed and reassured. I would not hesitate for a moment to have Casey look after Mylo again.

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
