Local dog walker, dog sitter.
I have had several dogs during my lifetime. Most recently I have taken to looking after neighbours, family and friends dogs for a day, weekend or a week at a time. My availabilty will depend on my work rota - I will be working 2 days per week from beginning of April 2025.

Alan was a great host for Stanley. Felt more than comfortable leaving him with Alan. Lots of posts and pics sent. On return and picking our dog up it was clear to everyone that Stanley had had a great time and had a very happy stay with people who clearly love dogs. Thankyou Alan.
Alan was incredibly helpful in caring for Noah at daycare, especially as he accepted my last-minute request. He made sure Noah was comfortable, happy, and well looked after throughout the day. I truly appreciate his flexibility and care—thank you so much, Alan!.
We needed someone to have Preston for a long day out to London. It was pretty short notice but Alan sorted it for us. He took Preston out for a nice long walk & Preston ate all his dinner so he must have been relaxed. Alan sent us photos of Preston out on his walk & sleeping peacefully after. Will definitely use Alan again.
Thank you so much Alan for looking after Dennis. He clearly had a whale of a time as he wasn't exactly in a hurry to leave with me when I came to collect him! I can thoroughly recommend Alan for anyone considering using him. He's fantastic with your pet and we won't hesitate to use his services again in the future. Dennis was well looked after, given lots of adventures and attention.
Alan looked after my dog when I was unexpectedly taken into hospital, where he was treated like family. I absolutely trust Alan with my dog, and my dog loves him, so that’s good enough for me.

Schedule
I have taken early retirement but will be returning to work on a part time basis at the beginning of April. I will have 5 days per week where I may be available for dog sitting, dog walking.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fully fenced and gated large back garden at our property. Lots of good, long walks within a short distance of where I live which will normally involve a short drive.
A typical day
We have lots of long walks near us with lots of open fields, along canals, parks, areas of outstanding beauty. Short walk in the morning on getting up. Will then generally do two longer walks of between 3-5 miles during the day. This may involve driving depending on where I decide to walk the dog.
