“Nayelly welcomed Snow with so much warmth, we didn’t have any doubts even for a moment. Snow had great company and time with regular walks and pictures updates sent to us. Thanks to Nayelly, we could relax on our annual holidays. I bet Snow can’t wait to come and see you all again, x”

“Marlowe stayed with Shreya and her partner for one night and he came back the happiest dog! Shreya gave us regular updates and took some amazing pictures which gave us peace of mind our pup was having the best time. We will definitely using her services again, would highly recommend.”

“Erika, was great right from the start. Invited us round to ensure my dog would also get on with others and to let him familiarise himself a little. Thor had a great time, well looked after. I had daily photos sent to stop and worry.. All in all fantastic. I will be using Erika again for future holidays and days away that I cannot take Thor with me.”

“A lovely family, we could tell Marnie was well looked after and that they were a family who really loved dogs. It makes such a difference and gave us piece of mind. Thank you for taking such good care of her.”

“Our pup Mila just had 3 nights with Julie & Craig. She was so well loved & cared for- spoilt! Julie sent the most amazing photo updates. Mila was taken on lovely long walks & had a lot of fun with Chester. Julie & Craig are both so warm and welcoming. They are extremely accommodating & flexible. Very kind. We didn’t worry about Mila at all - we knew she was in the best hands in the most beautiful cottage on the green. We highly recommend Julie & Craig to care for your dog. We certainly will be rebooking. 😊”

“My dog Travis is a very nervous boy and I always worry about leaving him with people whilst I go away. However I was so happy & comfortable leaving him with Simon & Joanna. He really came out of his shell whilst staying with them and seemed really happy, I loved receiving picture updates from them throughout his stay. I would 100% book again with Simon, thank you so much”

“Indra was great with communication, was happy to meet before our dog's stay to get acquainted and then kept us updated with how much fun the pooch was having on her walks and playing with the kids. We will definitely be using Indra again.”

“I cannot recommend Lai Yan highly enough! Her attention to detail when it came to caring for George was incredible, he almost seemed disappointed to go home! Leaving your pet is always hard, but she made it so much easier by sending tons of pictures and updates throughout the stay. A huge bonus was her own sweet dog, who was a wonderful, calming influence on George. We will absolutely be booking with her again!”

About: I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) based in Milton Keynes, offering calm, reliable, and compassionate care for pets of all ages. I’ve spent years working closely with animals, and I love creating a safe, relaxed environment where they feel understood and genuinely cared for. My RVN background means I’m confident supporting pets with medication, senior‑pet needs, post‑operative routines, and recognising early signs of stress or illness. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, elderly, or has specific medical or behavioural needs, I adapt my care to suit them. I can also follow and carry out your training routine. I’m gentle, patient, and very attentive, and I always follow your instructions carefully. You’ll receive regular updates and photos so you feel connected and reassured while you’re away. My goal is simple: to treat your pet with the same kindness and respect I’d want for my own. If you’d like to chat or arrange a meet‑and‑greet, I’d be happy to hear from you. I keep a flexible weekly routine, which allows me to fit pet care in comfortably and reliably. I plan my days around the pets I’m looking after, making sure I have plenty of time for walks, visits, and any extra needs. I’m also available for morning walks, which many pets enjoy as part of their routine. I never overbook, so your pet always gets calm, focused attention. When caring for pets in a client’s home: I follow your routines closely so your pet feels secure and settled. I take time to understand their habits, feeding schedule, favourite spots, and any medical or behavioural needs. As an RVN, I’m confident recognising early signs of stress or discomfort, and I always prioritise calm, gentle handling. I keep your home tidy and secure, and I send regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing. When caring for pets in my home: I provide a quiet, relaxed environment with plenty of space for pets to settle in. I only take pets from one family at a time, so your pet receives my full attention and never has to worry about overcrowding or unfamiliar animals. I also have a very friendly resident cat who used to be a clinic cat — he’s calm, social, and used to meeting new animals in a gentle, controlled way. Introductions are always slow and safe, and I only allow interactions if everyone is comfortable. Your pet’s wellbeing comes first. I use my RVN experience to ensure safe handling, clean environments, and careful monitoring, while keeping everything warm, patient, and reassuring. Whether I’m in your home or mine, I aim to create a calm, predictable space where pets feel secure and understood.

“Thank you Irina for having my 2 mini dachshunds. Irina sent through photos and videos throughout and the pups had a great time. They asked us lots of questions before about their routines which was great.”

“Nellie is an Excellent Dog Sitter, Very Friendly, Helpful & was updated on how my dog was doing. Buddy was really happy when I picked him up & I would use this sitter again without hesitation. Thank you again.”

About: I've had dogs since I was about 10, with a variety of breeds including a bearded collie, retrievers, a cross-bred rescue and my all time favourites, labradors. I enjoyed helping my parents train guide dogs too, and have used those skills many times over the years, helping train friend’s dogs when there was a need. I've also got plenty of experience looking after other people's dogs, as friends have often asked me to either babysit, drop in or fully take in their dogs when they've been away, something I've always been very happy to do, the latest being a fun mix with a shitshu with attitude and his very laid back buddy, an Alsatian😄 I don't have dogs of my own at the moment, however I would love to help other dogs if needed and is something I really enjoy doing, sometimes along with my partner. We are both very outdoorsy and love a dog walk, in all weathers! I'm available to help with any services for dogs at weekends (Fri evenings through to Sunday evenings) as I work full time in the week. We live in a house which has a large enclosed garden, and at all times, the utmost care is obviously given, with all rules and requests strictly adhered to. Photos will happily be provided, and I aim to please! As far as I'm concerned, anything else is unacceptable, as it's how I'd want my pets looked after.
“Lourdes was absolutely fantastic. My mum was very nervous about leaving Marcus, but Lourdes met him first and hit it off straight away, which settled all the nerves! Throughout the process, Lourdes kept us updated with plenty of pictures and updates. Marcus looked like he was having a fantastic time. We can't thank you enough!”

“It was our first time using Gaja as a sitter, and we will definitely book again. Our two dogs settled immediately with Gaja and found a nice spot to lie in the sun at her home. :) It looked like they enjoyed their stay, judging by the nice photos we received, and Gaja was happy with their behaviour. Thank you, Gaja. :)”

About: I had a dog since I was 6 years old and took care of him through his diabetes as he grew older. I can administer insulin injections and eyedrops, and am good at getting dogs to swallow pills. Towards the end of my dogs life, I was able to feed him using syringes so am very experienced with older dogs, and can adapt to the individual needs of your dog. I have also dog sat for younger dogs as well as large dogs, so am able to deal with all ages and sizes. Im a university student, currently at home full time during my summer holidays. This means I will be available most times for pet care and am very flexible. I have a large garden with fences all around, making it impossible for the pet to sneakily escape, whilst providing a fun area for dogs to play in. I have air conditioning inside my kitchen so it will stay cool for the dogs during these hot summer days.
“Michelle is friendly and clearly has a genuine love for dogs. She provides a calm environment and gives them lots of attention. This was my first time using a boarder for my rescue pup, who I know can be a bit of a handful. Michelle kept me updated throughout, really put my mind at ease, and just seemed to understand his quirks straight away. Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for better care for my boy. I would absolutely recommend her.”

“Bean had an amazing time with Lin, we got regular updates, photos and videos of her time there and seems like shes made a great friend in Cherry! We will be booking her in again, thanks so much Lin!”

We’ve had our dog stay with Indra and her family, such a lovely family, every day updating and sending pictures about our dog, and honestly our dog had been taken very good care, definitely will use again and highly recommended them and much appreciated for all they done 🤗🤗

Marlowe stayed with Shreya and her partner for one night and he came back the happiest dog! Shreya gave us regular updates and took some amazing pictures which gave us peace of mind our pup was having the best time. We will definitely using her services again, would highly recommend.

Craig and Julie are so lovely, both genuinely really caring dog lovers and want your dog to have a 'home from home' stay. They took care in ensuring Casper stuck to his routine for length and frequancy of walks plus feeding times . Their location is surrounded by wonderful walks. I recieved regular photos during his stay, showing his activities, resting and even a paw washing after a fabulous but muddy walk. I highly recommend them and are planning our next stay. Thank you for such amazing care.

Sunny cared for our female husky Nia for 10 days whilst we were out the country - it was the first time leaving Nia and we were a little apprehensive as Nia is true to her breed and can be quite a handful at times! Sunny quickly put our minds at ease, sending regular updates and photos showing her on amazing walks, getting pup cups and on a doggy play date! We will definitely be booking with Sunny again whenever we need a pet sitter 💛

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely fantastic dog sitter! They took wonderful care of my dog, providing plenty of love, attention, and updates throughout. It was clear my dog was happy, comfortable, and well looked after. I wouldn't hesitate to book again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.

Viktorija came very highly recommended by our dog walker’s friend and has totally lived up to her recommendation. Reggie has had daycare and a few days boarding and he greeted her extremely enthusiastically following his first stay with her. From our perspective Viktorija is extremely accommodating and very flexible when booking. We highly recommend her.

This is the second time that Debbie and her husband have looked after Lola for me and she couldn’t have been in safer hands. They both look after her like she’s their own with lots of play and snuggle time. We are given lots of updates and Lola settles really well. My number one go to when we need a sitter :)

Thank you Jean and family for taking such good care of Yuna over the last 9 days,Yuna thoroughly enjoyed her stay with you especially in the company of Isla, the two of them played so well together. Yuna came home happy and in good health and missing her new playmate Isla. Jean, your service is highly recommended. Thanks again.

Donna was an amazing pet sitter! She was very attentive to Frida’s needs and routine, and you can truly see how much she loves dogs, which makes all the difference. I felt completely at ease knowing Frida was in such caring hands. I would 100% recommend Donna, and I’m sure Frida would love to stay with her again. Thank you! 🩷

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
