Home Boarding in Semi Rural location
Craig and I have been hosting dogs in our home since July 2023. We are both retired and love having dogs to stay with us alongside our own dog - Gus, a gorgeous Golden Retriever. We are licensed by Milton Keynes Council (North Cottage Dog Boarding - Licence No 175076) to provide Home Dog Boarding, DBS checked, First Aid trained and insured to carry out dog boarding/dog walking. (To comply with the licensing requirements we will need a 'Booking and Consent form' completed along with proof of vaccinations ahead of any stay. ) We love meeting new dogs and welcoming back dogs into our home who have already spent time with us (and getting to know their owners) where our priority is always to ensure dogs are very comfortable, safe and happy in our home whilst their owners are away. Dogs boarding with us are treated as a treasured family pets whilst in our care within our home. As we are both retired we are able to spend time with your dog and accommodate your dog's routines around feeding, walking, sleeping etc to make sure they are safe and content in our home.

Craig and Julie are so lovely, both genuinely really caring dog lovers and want your dog to have a 'home from home' stay. They took care in ensuring Casper stuck to his routine for length and frequancy of walks plus feeding times . Their location is surrounded by wonderful walks. I recieved regular photos during his stay, showing his activities, resting and even a paw washing after a fabulous but muddy walk. I highly recommend them and are planning our next stay. Thank you for such amazing care.
Cody absolutely loved his stay with Julie, Craig, and Gus, he didn’t want to leave! Before his stay, we met up to make sure everyone was happy, and it really put our minds at ease knowing how well Cody would be looked after. Throughout his stay, we received lots of updates and photos, which was so lovely and very much appreciated. It was clear that Julie and Craig treated Cody as if he were their own, and he certainly made himself right at home! I cannot recommend Julie and Craig enough. Cody is already looking forward to his next stay and is definitely missing Gus (as well as Julie and Craig) already!

Milo had such a good time! Julie and Craig are two of the nicest people we have ever met, they treat Milo like he’s their own dog. Milo and Gus are best friends and we will only ever use Julie & Craig from now on.
Julie and Craig are really a nice couple - not forgetting Gus their other family member (four-legged). We met to ensure that Archie and Gus were able to get along as well as both Julie and Craig would be able to manage Archie as he's a bundle of energy who's seldom been left alone. We had very good communication throughout with messages, photos and videos. Julie and Craig agreed to a trial basis prior to Archie's longer stay as a 'dry-run' and we had every confidence that Archie will be well looked after on his already booked 'holiday'. He was genuinely well looked after and made a fuss over. Both Julie and Craig really took the time to understand his routine, personality and needs. Archie seems to have been adopted within their family. I fully recommend Julie and Craig as a dog-sitter/boarder to anyone looking for a safe, caring and playful environment. I know Archie also recommends Julie, Craig and Gus as he was really tired and sleepy but happy upon his return. Seems he needs another 'holiday' to recover. We will definitely book again.

Schedule
We are able to work around individual dog's preferred routines. We can be fully flexible in terms of drop offs/pick ups and special care arrangements.

We are fortunate to live in a countryside location in the centre of Milton Keynes. Our property set back on a track road from an open green with plenty of options for good walks. Large fenced garden with plenty of room to run around and dogs made very welcome in our home,
Pets
A typical day
Our preference is to work with owners to understand their dog's routines and preferences. As we are both retired we can often be found playing with dogs during the day and with a large field adjacent to our house can accommodate more strenuous ball exercise to compliment walks as required.
