About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with a passion for providing the best care possible for our furry friends. Four years ago, I welcomed my first "fur child" into my life—a playful spaniel who keeps me on my toes! Since then, I’ve put a lot of time and effort into learning how to be a responsible and loving owner, and I’ve loved every minute of it. I’ve also been lucky to spend time around dogs and horses over the years, which has deepened my appreciation for animals and their unique personalities. While our home is best suited for small to medium-sized dogs, any animal I look after must be friendly and comfortable with an energetic and playful spaniel. I’m all about tailoring my care to suit your pet’s individual needs. I’ll listen carefully to your guidance, follow routines, and make sure your furry friend feels safe, loved, and happy. Whether it’s extra cuddles, playtime, or quiet companionship, I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own. I’d love to hear about your furry family member and how I can help! 😊 I currently work full time, but work from home Tuesdays and Thursdays! We see this as a perfect opportunity to dog sit and give our boy and wonderful friend to play with! Weekends are spent on engaging and exciting walks for our working spaniel. I have a fully enclosed, but small garden. We wouldn’t be able to accommodate large dogs for this reason. Our garden has a brick wall, with a gate for external access which is locked at all times. We have an open plan downstairs area. Animals will not be allowed upstairs, but will be with me in the downstairs area as I work from the kitchen table. They won’t be left alone in my care.
“I was really anxious about leaving Finley (9 months) for the first time. He was well looked after and kept me posted with updates and pictures. I will definitely use Lucy’s services again for Finley.”

“Sue was excellent. Casper was really happy staying with Sue. Sue send regular updates and Casper had a great walk that he really enjoyed.Thank you Sue. You are Amazing. Will definitely have Casper staying at Sue s again.”

“Rachel (and Ethan) took such good care of Saffy for us! She settled quickly and Rachel kept us updated with photos and messages to let us know how she was getting on. Saffy enjoyed her stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to leave her with Rachel again.”

“A bit delayed, but worth sharing. My husband and I got married on 5th Sept at Bassmead Manor Barns, which is 15-20mins drive away from where Lauren lives. We needed someone to look after our puppy Buna for 2 days throughout the wedding prep and celebrations, and bring her to the venue on the day of the wedding. Lauren was happy to board Buna and welcome her into her family like she was her own. Lauren instantly gained Buna's trust and it is clear Buna has the best time in her home. Lots of walks, play time, rest and happy adventures around the house, wat's not to like? Lauren is clearly very attentive and loving human, and we could not have asked for more. Moreover, Lauren went extra mile for us during the time Buna spent at the wedding venue with us taking pictures. Lauren kept distracting Buna from the crowd and encouraging her to look in the camera using treats, voice, commands and gestures. Without Lauren there it would have been much more difficult to manage a 5 month old mischief! Thank you from both of us once again, you were amazing! Melvyn & Jelena”

“Hannah was amazing for our Winston, it was our first time using a sitter and we couldn’t be happier, constant updates and you could see how much he loved staying there with Hannah and her two children. Definitely would recommend ♥️”

“Gerda and her family were fantastic, understanding and accommodating with our dog. Comfortable place for him to stay and play with another dog and a garden to run around in. Photos sent and good communication beforehand and throughout. The main thing was our dog was happy. Thank you”

“Bean had an amazing time with Lin, we got regular updates, photos and videos of her time there and seems like shes made a great friend in Cherry! We will be booking her in again, thanks so much Lin!”

Mariia took fantastic care of our 8 year old cockatoo for a week and we felt she was in safe hands. Regular walks and updates with daily photos. Treats were happily consumed and the other two dogs Mariaa looked after in the week were both small/ medium dogs of a similar breed so Molly had doggy company which she likes. 🥳⭐️
I needed overnight home care for my Old English Sheepdog puppy. Sue quickly agreed to look after him, knowing that he was a 50-pound six-month old pup who had never had an overnight in someone else’s home. Having owned a big, hairy dog herself, she rightly was both experienced and confident. It was very apparent that Sue was such a dog lover and has a big heart for both pets - and people! I appreciated the updates and photos while we was away and I was so grateful that he was in such good hands in a welcoming home environment. My puppy was loved and cared for and was very happy to stay with Sue and her daughter. I know exactly whom to call upon again. Thank you!

Thunder had so much fun on his stay with Lucy! She was so patient with his reactivity and separation anxiety and asked questions so she knew how best to handle him and what his triggers are. 100% will be back in the future! Lucy was so easy to communicate with and sent photos and updates 😁

Big thanks to Rory, Hannah and Basil for looking after Teddy our Lab. Communication was great and we were kept updated with photos and videos, it was our first time leaving Teddy with anyone and they made the process so easy and we felt assured he was in great hands and I think Ted found a friend in Basil who is such a lovely dog too! Would highly recommend.

Kirsty looked after our Nell for 4 days whilst we went away, and she had a fabulous time. She fitted in very well with the rest of the family and enjoyed going for lovely walks and getting belly rubs, her favourite thing! Would throughly recommend Kirsty to anyone, we will definitely be seeing her again I’m sure!

If I could give Alex 10 stars, I would! She is the loveliest, kindest most caring person and Reggie absolutely loves going for sleep overs with Auntie Alex! Reggie can be a bit wary of new people but immediately warmed to Alex which completely put me at ease leaving him over night. He has stayed over 3 times now and makes himself at home every time we arrive, he’s always so happy to see her! Alex always sends lots of updates when she takes him for lovely walks, play time and cuddles on the sofa. He always comes back super happy. I’m so glad we found Alex, thank you as always! 🤍

Lauren was so accommodating and my dog Lady had a lovely time staying with her. So much so that she didn’t want to leave on pick up. Lauren’s communication is great and she sent me updates about how Lady was getting on. Would definitely recommend Lauren and will definitely be using her again in the future.

100% would recommend Richard 👏 He looked after our Ollie, sent us updates and genuinely enjoyed having him and Ollie enjoyed Richard’s company too. He took on board all the little details we provided and we will be using him again so can’t rate more than that. It gives you peace of mind when leaving your fur babies in safe and caring hands. Thank you Richard x

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
