Sue quickly agreed to look after him, knowing that he was a 50-pound six-month old pup who had never had an overnight in someone else’s home. I have a fully enclosed, but small garden. We wouldn’t be able to accommodate large dogs for this reason. Our garden has a brick wall, with a gate for external access which is locked at all times. We have an open plan downstairs area. Animals will not be allowed upstairs, but will be with me in the downstairs area as I work from the kitchen table. They won’t be left alone in my care.

About: I've been around all animals since I was a child from big dogs to cats to caged animals to birds. About: I've cared for my mum's cats for many years and had a kitten as a young teen who lived for 16 years. I have a dedicated room for cats to board with sleeping quarters, and they can also happily have the run of the house. I wouldn't let them outside though as they don't know the area and our garden isn't cat proof! Dog proof yes, but we have trees which a cat could get stuck up 🙀

About: I have grown up with dogs, cats and rabbits. As an adult I have always had a dog or dogs, experiencing the high and lows, sickness and loss but I would still have more. I am now retired and would like to spend my time looking after other people’s dogs. I have now retired and have one dog of my own. We go to Clapham dog park which is secure, and also walk round the fields and Clapham woods, further adventures if the dogs are ok travelling by car. We have a coastal bungalow in Norfolk and often take dogs there to experience the beach.

My grandparents lived on a farm with lots of dogs, so I grew up feeding them, grooming them, bathing them, and just taking care of them like they were mine. I got my own dog, Pongo, about 12 years ago. He was the happiest, cuddliest Dalmatian and taught me everything from basic training to caring for a senior dog. In 2020, we added a second dog, Nairobi, who came from a Romanian rescue. She arrived with a lot of fear and emotional scars, so I spent a lot of time working with her, building trust, and helping her come out of her shell. Now she’s a, let's say, quirky dog who gets along great with others. Because of all this, I’m very comfortable with puppies, rescue dogs, and dogs who need a little extra patience or emotional support. After losing Pongo in 2024, Nairobi would love a friendly companion—so any dog I watch gets not just my care, but a sweet playmate if they want one. I treat every dog like family, because that’s how I was raised. I'm currently working from home, so I will have plenty of time to play with your doggos. I'm available weekdays and weekends at any time! When I’m caring for pets in my home, my main focus is making them feel safe, relaxed, and part of the family. I keep their routine as close to normal as possible—meals, walks, rest time, and whatever habits they’re used to. I also have a fully fenced garden where they can explore and enjoy the outdoors. As soon as the weather warms up, Nairobi spends most of her day out there sunbathing and only comes inside for water or a quick cool-down, and visiting dogs usually love doing the same. If a pet is staying overnight, especially during fireworks season, I make sure our last walk is earlier in the evening so everyone is settled before the noise begins. Our house has very good sound insulation, and with the TV on you can barely hear anything from outside, which helps dogs stay calm and comfortable. If we’re just popping in for walks, Nairobi and I always take our time. She loves to explore and sniff every single leaf, so we’re never in a rush. If your dog enjoys it, we can also play fetch or add in some extra playtime to make the walk even more fun. Overall, I do everything I can to make pets feel at home and cared for, just like I do with my own dog.

About: I have a 12 year old bichon Maltese and 2 3 1/2 year old springer spaniels! I love taking care of them especially the walks!!! I am very responsible for all three dogs, taking them on 3 walks a day, if I could do more I definitely would!! I love animals and I love exercise and I would love to regularly walk other dogs! I feed them twice a day pairing with 3 walks making sure they are tired by the end of the day! And of course lots and lots of love!!!

About: I’ve had dogs since I was born, a house isn’t complete without one! I’ve cared for my own as well as others since my teens and love being in their company. I’m a keen hiker and walker so love taking canine company out with me for adventures, but in my work from home life I’m also very flexible and happy doing doggy day care. I’ve experience with puppies and senior dogs a like, walking, feeding, bathing, or sitting, I’d love to help look after your pup. I work as a designer and for a majority of the time I am home 5 days, on the odd occasion I will have to travel into London for work but this will all be placed into my calendar. I’m not precious about where I work so I am happy to sit at your house during the day if needed, my hours are also flexible to me, so plenty of time for frequent toilet breaks and walks during the day. My garden is round the back of my house and fenced in, large and spacious for them to run around. I’m happy to practice any training you may need whether this be commands or crate training, I’m flexible to you.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, including spaniels, retrievers, bulldogs and jack russell’s. However, I’ve looked after all kinds of breeds through family and friends. I genuinely love all types of dogs and really understand how special they are in people’s lives. Therefore, they would get lots of cuddles and attention from me! I work remotely from home and have plenty of time to give your dog lots of attention, including lots of cuddles and walks! I take my own dog for a walk every morning and evening and a smaller one at lunch, during my working hours. I have a super friendly dog who loves making friends and also a small fenced garden so everything is safe. There is enough space for your dog to make themselves at home and snuggle up on the sofa if they insist!

We tend to go for an early morning walk around the park and then another adventure in the early evening so the dogs can have a good run around.
