“It was so lovely having Rebecca look after Basil for the long weekend. Great communication and a lovely home for Basil to be in. Will definitely book again in the future!”

“Clare was very good at communicating, and Nola came back happy and relaxed (and she is a rescue dog with an anxious temperament!) Clare was also very organised, and had clearly read through the information we had provided thoroughly. I would use her again :)”

“What a special person Sue is! Our dog Rolo is very anxious and reactive and so before we booked for Sue to have him for a week, we sorted an overnight trial. We had never left him before. Rolo was very happy and went straight in to play and was settled - until bed time when he howled during the night. However, Sue was amazing with him, reassuring and kind enough to have another go at a trial run… see next review :)”

“We cannot praise Mariia enough for looking after Daisy so well. Regular updates and putting Daisy's welfare uppermost during the stay meant that we had total trust that our much loved girl was being looked after so well. When we picked Daisy up, Mariia was fantastic, giving us advise and recommendations. We would not hesitate to leave Daisy with her again, and would highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you so much Mariia xx”

“After a last minute work booking I found myself needing somewhere for my dogs, and at half term too!! Lucy responded quickly, and we were able to arrange a meet and greet. My dogs were instantly settled and took to Lucy and her partner. Dropping the dogs off was carried out smoothly and with no stress to the dogs. (more my worry as I hadn’t left them with people that didn’t know…the dogs really didn’t care 😂) All medications were given, routines followed and regular pupdates and photos sent. The dogs were obviously settled when I collected them and have settled back in at home as if they had only been out for the day. Lucy and her partner obviously treat your dogs as one of the family… from my dogs it’s a big paws up 🐾🐾”

“Sonia C. looked after my dog, Wicket, over the Christmas period from the 17th to the 2nd and did a fantastic job. She was reliable, caring, and made sure Wicket was well looked after while I was away, which gave me real peace of mind. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive dog sitter, and I will definitely be using her again in the future.”

“We were looking for someone to look after our dog while we went on holiday. We wanted someone who would care for him like we do, and Lauren was exactly that person. She provided us with daily updates, photos and videos. We were so impressed with Lauren that we have already booked her again.”

“Barnaby had a fab time with John, Harry and Finn and we are so grateful we found them on Rover! Barnaby was treated like one their own, and settled in really well in their home. Barnaby had a fab time and I’m sure he is looking forward to his next stay already ☺️”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with a passion for providing the best care possible for our furry friends. Four years ago, I welcomed my first "fur child" into my life—a playful spaniel who keeps me on my toes! Since then, I’ve put a lot of time and effort into learning how to be a responsible and loving owner, and I’ve loved every minute of it. I’ve also been lucky to spend time around dogs and horses over the years, which has deepened my appreciation for animals and their unique personalities. While our home is best suited for small to medium-sized dogs, any animal I look after must be friendly and comfortable with an energetic and playful spaniel. I’m all about tailoring my care to suit your pet’s individual needs. I’ll listen carefully to your guidance, follow routines, and make sure your furry friend feels safe, loved, and happy. Whether it’s extra cuddles, playtime, or quiet companionship, I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own. I’d love to hear about your furry family member and how I can help! 😊 I currently work full time, but work from home Tuesdays and Thursdays! We see this as a perfect opportunity to dog sit and give our boy and wonderful friend to play with! Weekends are spent on engaging and exciting walks for our working spaniel. I have a fully enclosed, but small garden. We wouldn’t be able to accommodate large dogs for this reason. Our garden has a brick wall, with a gate for external access which is locked at all times. We have an open plan downstairs area. Animals will not be allowed upstairs, but will be with me in the downstairs area as I work from the kitchen table. They won’t be left alone in my care.

“Big thanks to Rory, Hannah and Basil for looking after Teddy our Lab. Communication was great and we were kept updated with photos and videos, it was our first time leaving Teddy with anyone and they made the process so easy and we felt assured he was in great hands and I think Ted found a friend in Basil who is such a lovely dog too! Would highly recommend.”

“Jupiter has the best BEST time with Nastassia and her doggy Rudy. I think Rudy might be his best friend 😍 Great updates and photos, lovely long countryside walks and plenty of snuggles. Thank you for taking such good care of him!”

“Tania was really lovely and Isla seemed to fit right in for her 3 night stay. Tania kept me posted with photos and updates and Isla also enjoyed the company of Finley, Tania's gorgeous lab. I would definitely recommend Tania to anyone who is looking for peace of mind when having to leave their furbabies. Thanks again Tania, Isla will definitely be back for another visit 😊”

Although I’m new to offering dog sitting professionally, I’ve looked after dogs for friends and family for years and absolutely love having them around. My home is calm, friendly and perfect for dogs who enjoy being part of family life. I have two children who are kind, gentle and absolutely adore dogs, so I only accept friendly, child-comfortable dogs to make sure everyone has a happy and safe stay. I’ll treat your dog like one of my own, making sure they get lots of fuss, regular toilet breaks, walks (if required), playtime and, of course, plenty of cuddles. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away, so you can relax knowing they’re in safe hands. I can’t wait to meet you and your four-legged family member! I work from home Monday to Friday, so your dog will have plenty of company throughout the day and won’t be left alone for long periods. I’ve looked after dogs for friends and family for years and love having them around. I can provide regular toilet breaks, playtime, walks (if requested) and lots of cuddles while I work. “Jerry spent a week with Gerda and he had a great time! I’ve been kept updated throughout his stay with pictures and will definitely recommend her services to anyone in Bedford and surroundings who’s is in need of a dog sitter.”

“Katie and Mark are a lovely couple with a cute fun dog called Watson. Our 11 month old puppy Leo was eased in well to their household with a couple of visits prior to our weekend away, which was the first time he was away from all of us for more than a few hours. Leo gets on well with Watson and the two of them spending time together has been good for Leo’s confidence and assertiveness as he can be a little submissive with other dogs. Altogether a very positive experience.”

“Very enthusiastic dog lover, based centrally in Bedford. Mafalda looked after my dalmatian/cross for 4 days. I received regular photos, videos and updates. He was very well looked after. Thank you.”

“Rachel (and Ethan) took such good care of Saffy for us! She settled quickly and Rachel kept us updated with photos and messages to let us know how she was getting on. Saffy enjoyed her stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to leave her with Rachel again.”

“Rory & Hanna were so, so lovely! She can’t speak but I could tell that Rudy enjoyed her time immensely- and especially loved their resident dog, Basil🥹 I appreciated how communicative and accommodating they were with a fairly last minute request plus subsequent some schedule changes! Would recommend and definitely intend to rebook myself :) Thanks again, guys!”

“I am a repeat customer. Kylie is amazing with Pickles and he just loves her. I feel very comfortable leaving him with her and am grateful to have someone to take care of him when needed.”

“We have a skittish little madam who is anxious about meeting other dogs and people, so we are very happy to have found Sue to look after Honey. Honey had a lovely time with her stay and was told that while it took a bit of time to settle, she eventually warmed up and was happy for Sue to take her out for a walk (Honey isn't keen on walkies except with me - even my husband had to carry her on her walks with him). In fact, we have repeat future doggy day care booking with Sue.”

“I couldn't be happier with the service Lucy provided. Nala was clearly very happy in her care, she even ate her food which can be a problem especially when in the care of someone new. She was very tired when I got her home, which tells me she had a good day and was well stimulated and exercised. Lucy was very good at communicating throughout the day to let me know how Nala was getting on.”

“Both Tania and her husband were really lovely, they both were very communicative with me and attentive to Ziggie. They kept me up to date during the day with really sweet pictures/videos of Ziggie walking in the park, playing zoomies in their garden and taking an afternoon nap. I would have no problem at all booking with them again in the future, or recommending them to a fellow rover user.”

About: I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember. My grandparents lived on a farm with lots of dogs, so I grew up feeding them, grooming them, bathing them, and just taking care of them like they were mine. I got my own dog, Pongo, about 12 years ago. He was the happiest, cuddliest Dalmatian and taught me everything from basic training to caring for a senior dog. In 2020, we added a second dog, Nairobi, who came from a Romanian rescue. She arrived with a lot of fear and emotional scars, so I spent a lot of time working with her, building trust, and helping her come out of her shell. Now she’s a, let's say, quirky dog who gets along great with others. Because of all this, I’m very comfortable with puppies, rescue dogs, and dogs who need a little extra patience or emotional support. After losing Pongo in 2024, Nairobi would love a friendly companion—so any dog I watch gets not just my care, but a sweet playmate if they want one. I treat every dog like family, because that’s how I was raised. I'm currently working from home, so I will have plenty of time to play with your doggos. I'm available weekdays and weekends at any time! When I’m caring for pets in my home, my main focus is making them feel safe, relaxed, and part of the family. I keep their routine as close to normal as possible—meals, walks, rest time, and whatever habits they’re used to. I also have a fully fenced garden where they can explore and enjoy the outdoors. As soon as the weather warms up, Nairobi spends most of her day out there sunbathing and only comes inside for water or a quick cool-down, and visiting dogs usually love doing the same. If a pet is staying overnight, especially during fireworks season, I make sure our last walk is earlier in the evening so everyone is settled before the noise begins. Our house has very good sound insulation, and with the TV on you can barely hear anything from outside, which helps dogs stay calm and comfortable. If we’re just popping in for walks, Nairobi and I always take our time. She loves to explore and sniff every single leaf, so we’re never in a rush. If your dog enjoys it, we can also play fetch or add in some extra playtime to make the walk even more fun. Overall, I do everything I can to make pets feel at home and cared for, just like I do with my own dog.

About: WFH dog (animal!) lover with a playful resident pup and full-time supervision from me (and my retired dad!). “I hired Rebecca when my pregnancy became too much for me physically and I couldn’t take my Pomeranian for a walk. Rebecca was always on time, dependable, and communicated any schedule changes well ahead of time and I know my dog looked forward to her walks. I would hire Rebecca again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her.”

“Thank you Clare for helping out at such short notice in taking Red out for a walk. Clare is a quietly spoken, polite young lady. Red took to her straightaway. He didn't even look back to see if I was coming as well! This was his first time wirh a dog walker. I would recommend Clare and definitwly use her service again.”

“I completely trust Trina with my boys. She made them so happy when we were away. We also got a full report card and pictures everyday. Thank you Trina! We will definitely come back to her next time we travel!! She was great!”

About: I have grown up since the age of 3 with 2 Jack Russell’s. One of those dogs sadly passed away suddenly at the age of 11 and the other passed a few months back at the age of 18. I had to take care of my 18 year old dog for several years even when she turned old and suffered with several medical conditions as-well as dementia. This was difficult to get used to however we needed to provide 24/7 care for her. In addition to this I would enjoy walking my dogs every day in different locations as well as my sisters sprocker spaniel and a variety of breeds looking after for friends! I am currently working as a paramedic but work on a 4 on 4 off basis with 2 days and 2 nights. Every now and then this changes and I will do random shifts. I will accept pets if I am off and available, and I will never accept if I won’t be in all day. I live with my partner who is off on weekends and evenings. Both of us make any pet the centre of our attention and ensure they feel at home. I have no other pets in the house. I have a smoke free home surrounded by many places to walk a dog. I have a flat on a main road but my door stays locked and I do not open until pets are away or secured on a lead.

I have a large home in town with a lovely young female dog for them to play with, close to lots of parks, and I also drive to the countryside for walks.

“Barnaby had a fab time with John, Harry and Finn and we are so grateful we found them on Rover! Barnaby was treated like one their own, and settled in really well in their home. Barnaby had a fab time and I’m sure he is looking forward to his next stay already ☺️”

“Very enthusiastic dog lover, based centrally in Bedford. Mafalda looked after my dalmatian/cross for 4 days. I received regular photos, videos and updates. He was very well looked after. Thank you.”

“Great sitter!! My family and I went on holiday for a week and we left my cat, Tommy, in her care and she was great! He was super happy and got comfortable quick. Dominika provided us with loads of pictures of Tommy throughout his stay and it was lovely seeing those updates. Definitely recommend to anyone else who may need a sitter for their pet! :)”

“Kirsty took great care of my dog for an overnight stay, she sent lots of photos and updates which is always nice and reassuring! She has lots of experience with different dog breeds and I wouldn’t hesitate to book a stay with her again 😊”

“OMG what an amazing person! She sent photos and done so much with our puppy Otis and she even took him to the vets as she noticed worms developing. Cannot thank Amy enough and will definitely be using her for boarding and dog walks not only for Otis but for our older dog Ralph, if I could give 100 stars I would!”

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember! Growing up, I was lucky to have a beautiful Rottweiler and a gorgeous chocolate Labrador, who filled our home with so many happy memories. Over the years, I’ve gained plenty of experience caring for dogs of all sizes and ages. From walking multiple dogs at once for a local shelter, shelters in Thailand and Mexico, to looking after family and friends’ pets. I’ve developed a strong understanding of how to ensure each dog feels safe, loved, and happy. When dogs stay with me, they’re treated like family. My cosy home provides a warm and relaxing environment, and I live right next to a big open and clean field where we can enjoy plenty of walks and playtime. I sometimes care for a regular, Freddie, a sweet 14-year-old Yorkshire Terrier who belongs to my mum. Freddie is gentle and patient with other dogs, offering space to those who might feel a little nervous or sharing a snooze after a long walk. He’s the perfect little companion for any furry friends staying with us when he’s here. I won’t have Freddie again until 2026. You can rest assured that your furry family member will be in safe, caring hands with me. Whether they’re joining me for a holiday or I’m stopping by your home, I’ll make sure they’re happy, loved, and well cared for. I’m a freelancer who mainly works from home, giving me plenty of flexibility and time to care for pets. Whether it’s a quick drop-in visit or welcoming them into my home. I have a fenced garden and a non cluttered, quiet home for your dog to feel comfortable. I only live with my partner who is also a huge dog lover. Pets are also allowed on my furniture on a cosy and soft blanket. Freddie, my mums and 14 year old mixed Yorkshire Terrier sometimes stays who loves other dogs. I’m experienced in giving medication and love sending owners updates on their pups!
