“This is the first time we have left Peaches with a cat sitter and we have been delighted with the experience we have had with Rebecca. We were able to go away on our ten day break knowing that Peaches was in very safe and caring hands. The daily updates and photos were wonderful and Rebecca made sure that Peaches had everything she needed, including lots of play and cuddles! I would thoroughly recommend Rebecca and will be using her for cat sitting again - the experience provided complete peace of mind, thank you!”

“Amy was absolutely lovely. She attended every day, took good care of our cat, and uploaded pictures and reports regularly. She built a good relationship with our picky kitty, so we will definitely try to hire her again for our next trip.”

“If the thought of letting a stranger into your house makes you feel uneasy, you can relax if it's Charlie! He's a really nice person and is very gentle and caring with animals. He looked after my two kittens, older cat and guinea pigs for me. I got lovely pictures and videos and came back to happy animals and clean litter trays. I'd absolutely recommend him for any of your cat cuddling needs.”

About: Hi! My name's Eloise! I've been the proud parent to 2 beautiful Greyhounds and hopefully will be again in the near future. Unfortunately we lost our dear Wally at Christmas so am excited to meet some new furry friends :) Animals really are the best company! Cats are also always welcome, and I very much respect their independent snoozy nature aha! In my day to day life I'm a Prop Maker for Film and TV, so being active is very much a big part of my life. Going on long walks and playing fetch with any excitable friends I'm pretty accustomed too :) Hopefully I'll get to see you soon! Xxx I'm a Prop Maker for Film and TV, and so in between contracts and after work I find myself with a lot of free time! In these quiet periods I'm completely free to come and house sit, walk and play! After bonding with a pet, I'd be more than happy to fit in their walks after work in the evenings should any Prop Making gigs come up! I'm very aware of different pets personalities and their needs when it comes to walking and being around other pets. Being the previous owner to two Greyhounds, one of which was very nervous, I understand to respect boundaries and gently encourage when needed. I don't want any pets to come to any harm or be unhappy in my care, so I make sure to pay extra attention to their responses and behaviour.
About: I have grown up with dogs, cats and rabbits. As an adult I have always had a dog or dogs, experiencing the high and lows, sickness and loss but I would still have more. I am now retired and would like to spend my time looking after other people’s dogs. I have now retired and have one dog of my own. I live near a park and also fields near the river and we have regular walks daily. I am at home most of the day so any visiting dogs would get plenty of fuss and attention. I have a secure fenced back garden and a gate at the front of my house. I have one friendly dog of my own to keep any visiting dogs company.

“Carson did a great job of looking after GC and Reggie, and was kind, reliable and patient in taking onboard somewhat complicated care arrangements, due to one cat being newly ill. Really appreciate all her help!”

About: I love animals! especially dogs and cats. I’ve taken care of my neighbour’s pets since I was 11. I always love interacting with new animals and I’m very aware of pet’s needs as I grew up with two sheep dogs and a lot of cats! I’m just about to start a new job teaching swimming and I’m looking for some work in the mean time. I’m experienced giving medications, training younger pups or supporting seniors. I generally just love taking care of furry friends! Please feel free to ask me any questions :) I’m currently between jobs, starting my new one at the end of September so I am completely available in the mean time. I am very flexible with timings and am happy to work last minute! I am good at reading animal’s behaviour and am confident with medicating, leashing, and crating if needed. I love giving cuddles but of course understand when some animals like their space!

“Charlotte was a great sitter, set me lots of pics and videos each day and kept me updated. Would recommend using Charlotte to everyone including nervous cats like my one. ”

“Thanks again Mia! Our doggos love Mia and are very relaxed in her presence. We get regular updates and photos, so we know that they’re doing well. Would happy recommend Mia to others.”

“Olivia cared for our beloved cat whilst we were away and was very helpful with providing me with updates and pics on how he was doing. It was the first time we have ever left him but Olivia made us feel comfortable and confident that he would be ok. I'd definitely recommend anyone to use her service! Thank you so much Olivia xx”

“Elisha was an incredible pet sitter for me. She kept me updated with everything and spent time making sure my two rabbits were comfortable with her. I highly recommend Elisha - she will make sure your pets are always at their happiest.”

About: Ive been taking care of pets in different capacities since I was a pre teen. I’ve had pets in my life since I was a baby from all stages of infancy till full grown through out their lives. I work a 9-5 where I sit all day so activity in the weekday evening and on the weekends are very welcomed haha. I like to plan my weeks in advance to best ensure that all possibilities can be properly accounted for. In owners home I intend to stick to usual routines as much as possible to allow the pet to become comfortable with my presence in their space but also to put a small personal touch to best bond with them and build a rapport. This of course will vary from animal to animal which is why I require a week to plan/ match activities to what the pets are used to and what I am able to execute.
About: I've been around all animals since I was a child from big dogs to cats to caged animals to birds. I love caring for pets as it brings me so much joy knowing they're in safe hands and you don't have to worry. I'm home every day of the week as I have a daughter of 1 year old. She too loves animals as I've had her around pets since she was born (safely obviously). I can work this job around my parenting. I have a fenced garden with plenty of running around room and am local to parks where your pets will meet others. I live in a very safe and secure neighbourhood.
About: Hi, thanks for checking me out. I've owned and cared for Cats, Dogs and rabbits all my life. I am currently available for Walks, drop-ins, day care and overnight boarding full time Monday-Sunday. I'm currently working seasonal part time hours. I can be available to you Monday- Sunday at anytime. I'm very flexible and will try to accommodate any request. I have a fully fenced garden and a quiet, child and smoke free home. Pets are allowed to relax on the sofa or bed. I am also happy to stay over with your pets in your home. I drive, and am happy to accommodate any request

“Terriann is wonderful. She looked after my cat, Vincent, (who can very sensitive) exceptionally well. She was attentive to his needs and gave me plenty of reassurance whilst I was away. She kept is feeding and litter areas immaculate. She also kept him active and played with him with his toys lots. It was wonderful to see how pleased Vincent was to see Terriann when I arrived home from my trip and she came for a last visit. I will absolutely be booking Terriann again and I highly recommend her. She is excellent. THANK YOU Terriann!”

Cannot recommend more highly. Completely confident that Alex cares for our boys (cats) as she does her own. Lots of pics and she is great with communication. Loki was on the end of a course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory tablets, and Alex had no problem making sure he had his medication. Thank you, Alex 👍🐯🦁

Rebecca was absolutely wonderful with my senior cat, Nero. She was so caring, gentle, and attentive, and it was clear how much she genuinely cared about his wellbeing. Knowing Nero was in such loving and capable hands gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She went above and beyond to make sure he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would wholeheartedly recommend Rebecca to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and truly caring to look after their pets. Thank you so much, Rebecca! ❤️🐾

Callum took great care of Miccie while I was away. She can be quite nervous but clearly loved his company as I could tell by the great photos he sent each time he visited. I would definitely recommend Callum and will call on him next time I need someone to look after Miccie.
We cannot thank Amy enough for looking after Percy. It was our very first time seeking the help of a cat sitter and I'm glad we did. Percy was very comfortable with her, all we did was leave her with some instructions and the rest was all her. She communicates very well and we actually noticed she also did a bit of cleaning around Percy's area. Amazing service, I think we've found our regular cat sitter for when we need someone to look after Percy Highly recommend Amy! Thank you Amy!

Emma looked after Wilf and Chewie whilst we were going on what was to be quite an emotional trip. She was absolutely wonderful with our " fuss-cats ", she befriended them and sent us daily updates and videos. We came back to 2 happy chilled out cats..... Thank you so much Emma for your professionalism and attention to detail, 5 Star plus ....
Maria did a brilliant job looking after my two very wary cats over Christmas (and my stray). I had photos of them every day and everything was dealt with very efficiently and tidily. I really appreciated the little gift you left at the end too, as did Sootica and Sempra. I will definitely be in touch if I need a sitter again and would recommend to anyone, thank you. Xxx

Nikeisha was amazing with our cat Dimi! It was our first time using Rover so we were a little nervous leaving Dimi with someone new but the daily updates and photos she sent us really helped put our minds at ease. She was responsible, followed our instructions closely and our cat seems to have warmed up to her in no time. We would definitely book with her again!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bedford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
