“Everything you could hope for. One of the cats isn't exactly friendly so it would have been difficult to pay him too much attention but the other clearly enjoyed a little love and play and they are both still as chonky as when I left so food was definitely had! Jessica keeps you up to date throughout brilliantly and I am glad she is coming back next weekend for more of the same.”

“Thanks for looking after my cat while I was away. Loved the photo updates and to see you playing with her. Thanks for being on time with the visits and coming to meet Roxy before looking after her.”

About: I’ve missed having a furry companion or two to keep me company throughout the day and fuss over while I work from home in my flat! So I’d love to look after and care for your four legged friend as I would do my own! (My family pets as seen on my profile; copper the red cockerpoo 🐶 and bow the grey cat 🐱) I’ve been lucky enough to have been surrounded by all types of animals my whole life. My family are animal lovers, which has definitely been passed onto me after caring for dogs, cats, ducks, horses, hamsters etc. So I have always believed a house is not home without a pet, hence why I miss having one! I have added a list of the experience I have gained over spending years by spending so much time with family pets. Therefore I am confident I can care for your pet and do my best to make it feel like a home from home! 🏡 • 10 weeks old puppies • senior dogs - up to 18yrs old • multiple dogs • rescues • kc registered/show dogs, • crossbreeds / purebreeds, • toy/small/medium/large breeds, Personal experience in - shih-tzus, yorkshire terriers, cocker spaniels, springer spaniels, cavalier King Charles spaniels, cockerpoos, Irish setters, English setters, German Shepards. • medical conditions such as heart murmurs, partial blindness • minor and major surgery recovery • providing medication • other requirements- no teeth, hand feeding, incontinence I live in a flat just down the road from Barton springs park so can provide regular breaks and walks as much as your pet needs :) If you have any questions please feel free to contact me :) I spend a lot of time in my flat as I work from home Monday - Friday 9-5, and I’m free most weekends so would be able to provide all day care and company which I see as beneficial both ways! This also means I’m able to host your pet for extended periods of time if you require :) my flat is calm and quiet so would be able to support the needs of your furry friend and make them as comfortable as possible. My flat is across from a large patch of green a minute walk away and just down the road from Barton springs park so I am able to bring your furry friend out for toilet breaks as often as required (around 2 hours on average). My flat is never stuffy so there will always be fresh air and I am happy to have a dog bed, or crate, any toys they may like and also allow paws on the sofa as long as they aren’t muddy haha. Your pet will be safe in my home and not be left alone at any point. Their safety is my number one priority as I would look after them as I would look after my own pets :) If you’re looking after a pet in your home, I will ensure to follow their routine as closely as possible in order to minimise disruption and keep any stress to a minimum :) No request is too small so please let me know if there is anything else you would like to know from me as during their stay, I would be more then happy to send you pupdates to put you at ease and ensure you are are completely happy every step of the way! 🐶🐾 Thank you for looking at my profile I hope to speak to you soon! “We came home to a very happy cat who had been reliably fed, played with, and kept company while we were away. Jamie is a great sitter who takes care to make sure the animals he looks after are interacted with as well as having their basic needs met. This was really important to us at this time of year so that we wouldn't come home to any mess caused by a bored cat!! Thanks Jamie, we appreciate it.”

“Samira looked after our cat for the 5 days we were away and was fantastic throughout. Her communication was top-notch, professional, and she even watered our plants while we were gone. The check-in reports were thorough and detailed, and we came home to a happy, playful cat. Highly recommend!”

About: I've been living with dogs and cats for almost all my life and growing up with them taught me what a real best friend is. I became a volunteer in my country in a pet house and I took care of lots of homeless dogs and cats... between puppies and adults.. and the ones pregnant too! My house was their house.. that's why I ended up adopting 7 dogs and 10 cats... with one of my dog I attended lessons at the dogs education school where I improved my knowledge about their behaviour, their fears, how to behave with them, as well as how to teach them common commands like sit down, give me five, or lay down, stay, walk by my side etc.. Being a volunteer as well was helpful to get better with the different type of food depending on their size, age , hair or special needs, lots of different medicine, but especially spending time with them I realised how much they can give to us.. together we play, we sleep, we go to the beach or for a walk.. together we spend special time, and time is the most beautiful gift you can give. Since I moved to UK, I've been missing my pets each day.. I'd be grateful to spend time with yours.. you won't regret!
“Mel continue to be a reliable sitter for us - we always use her for drop-in visits for our cat while we are away on holiday, and she always visits on time and makes sure that Kona is well looked-after. Thanks Mel!”

About: Hello there! I'm Liz, and dogs have been my heart and soul since I was little. There's never been a time in my life without a wagging tail nearby or paw prints on my clothes, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Alex, my partner in both life and now in pet sitting, grew up surrounded by four legged friends, just like me. He has that special touch that makes dogs feel instantly at ease. It's lovely to see how even the shyest pups warm up to those belly rubs. Between us, we've cared for everything from tiny Chihuahuas to gentle giants, including some wonderful rescue dogs who stole our hearts along the way. We're both experienced in caring for dogs with medical needs, having looked after pets requiring medication, special diets and post-surgery care. We understand that your furry family member isn't just a dog, they're your world. Whether your pooch fancies long rambles through the park, cosy cuddles on the sofa with a good fuss, or energetic games in the garden, we'll make sure they feel completely at home with us. Tea and treats for both humans and dogs are always on hand, and we promise to send you plenty of updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your beloved pet is having just as much fun as you are. Taking care of pets fits perfectly into our daily routines. We both enjoy flexible work-from-home setups, ensuring your dog receives plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. Between us, there's always someone available for walks, playtime, or simply a warm lap for cuddles. We easily adapt to your pet's needs, whether in our home or yours. In our home, your dog will enjoy our spacious garden with plenty of exercise and attention. For pets more comfortable in familiar surroundings, we offer in-home care following your routines. Either way, we ensure your furry friend is safe and happy while you're away.

Chloe was absolutely amazing with Petunia(my cat). Morning and evening for a week Chloe showed such care for Petunia not just feeding her but spending time with her. It was so lovely to have daily messages and pictures knowing Petunia was being loved and cared for. I would recommend Chloe to anyone going away and wanting the security of knowing someone will genuinely look after their cat or dog. Thank you Chloe.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
