“Charlotte was amazing with our Puppy Luna and definitely left us reassured that she was left in great hands whilst we went to our baby shower. I really appreciated how friendly Charlotte was as well as the regular updates and photos we received. I’ll definitely recommend Charlotte and will be using her in the future if we need her! Thank you!!”

“Carlotta, recently had our two dogs for the weekend. She was fantastic with them and really good at communicating with me about the girls. Tilly can be a little shy but she settled really well with Carlotta. She sent regular updates with photos and videos. The girls were well looked after and the house was very clean and tidy when we got home. I would highly recommend her.”

“Sue has been wonderful in looking after Tommy. Regular updates of Tommy with Barney having a great time swimming and playing together. It must have been challenging in the heat of the last week, but Sue's impeccable standards and care just demonstrates her professionalism. The house was perfectly clean and tidy - probably more so than I let it 😁 I rate Sue very highly and will use her services again.”

“I can’t recommend lisa and Alex enough. They stayed in our home for 2 weeks and our pets and house were so well looked after. They sent sent daily photos which often showed my fur babies stretched out on top of lisa giving cuddles, showing how much they had bonded. The house was well looked after and we came back to a clean well kept home. As soon as we met them they made us feel confident about their experience and love of animals. I would definitely recommend them to look after your pets and home.”

“Ameera was fantastic looking after Lacey at short notice, sending lots of photos and making sure she was comfortable in this hot weather. Her communication skills are also fantastic and would highly recommend 5*****”

“Lisa stayed with our boys for a week and I couldn’t be happier. The boys loved her, she followed all their routines and fussiness. Also, our house was just like I left it before going away and she even tided up for our arrival!”

About: Hello! I am a passionate animal lover, recently finished a 4 year Zoology degree at NTU Brackenhurst, also with a Level 3 diploma in Animal management, so I will ensure to apply academic and practical knowledge to caring for your pets. I have worked at an animal rescue, caring for a wide range of different dog breeds (large and small), cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and a pig! I will meet the needs of both you and your pets, and be sure to keep in as much contact as wished by owner. Also working as a dog sitter/walker for a private owner, since 2019, which gave me many practical skills I can apply to other dog sittings. Please get in touch, I look forward to meeting you and your lovely companions! I am currently at university, I have free days monday, wednesday, saturday, and sundays. I’m happy to sit over night, no more than 1 night in a row. I will ensure your house is kept perfectly tidy and update you on details of the day. I am very reliable and respectful. I will always keep good hygiene standards around your pets, while keeping a close eye on them guaranteeing their safety and giving them plenty of love!
“Once again Georgina did a wonderful job of looking after Mabel and Monty. We got photos while away and came back to two very happy relaxed dogs, and the house was so tidy you wouldn’t have known anyone had been here. Would absolutely recommend Georgina.”

“Daise was great looking after our whippet, Wilf! She was incredibly quick to reply to any messages and was happy to share with us lots of pictures and videos. It was clear that Wilf was in such good hands. Thank you Daise.”

“Jamie clearly took really good care of Peanut and she really took to him, which was lovely to see. It was really reassuring to get regular pictures and updates about her and he left everything in the house just as he found it if not better. Thank you Jamie - you are highly recommended.”

About: I have had experience with both cats and dogs from a young age. I have had springer spaniels in the past who definitely kept me on my toes! I currently volunteer weekly for stray cat rescue, and also cats protection, and work part time as a support worker. I love walking and I adore animals and am very confident around all different dogs and cats ❤️❤️ I work part time as a support worker in co ordination with my partner to fit around childcare, so I'm very flexible! I just need to know at least a week in advance so I can plan in my diary as no two days are the same for me! I know how stressful it can be to leave your pets, so I will keep everything as normal as possible to fit around your usual schedule. Lots of playtime and love at the same time 🥰
“Jess was brilliant with Pepper. It was clear from the start that Pepper was going to be a very happy doggy, with lots of attention and cuddles whilst I was away. I have complete peace of mind that Pepper (and the house) are being looked after while I'm away. I've booked Jess for 3 more visits already.”

“Isabella is super, capable and friendly, Lola was happy and settled with her right away. I had a perfect relaxed day without worries. Isabella is top of my list when available when I need help with Lola again.”

About: We have a two year old golden retriever who is the friendliest dog we know! She’s great with people and other dogs and we love looking after her and going on long walks with her. I (Dan) have had dogs as a child and cared for family members dogs so have plenty of experience and am yet to meet a dog I don’t get on with! We live very close to Ampthill Park with a secure garden. I (Dan) work from home and look after Florence all day, my work schedule fits around dog care and I can take Florence out twice a day if not more if needed. Amelia is around every evening and weekends to help with any other dog demands! We have a secure fenced garden which dogs seem to love and as mentioned we have many walking dog routes very nearby which are great for long walks and running around. We can cater to the amount of exercise and love and attention that your canine needs.

About: ive had pets my entire life whether that be dogs, cats, hamsters or fish and plenty others. I feel so comfortable being around them and they make me happy & motivated, And i feel that is felt by then also! Ive raised kittens and taken care of elderly dogs + cats that require special attention. Im working part time at the moment so im very flexible with my time, i can work from anywhere with an internet connection. Can do long stays or short. I care for your pets within the remits provided to me and their individual wants and needs. I love to play and entertain pets, if they want to!
About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. Alongside my career as a cardiac physiologist, I've spent years caring for dogs and volunteering with European rescue and adoption organisations, it's a passion I simply can't imagine living without. That time with rescue dogs gave me a deep sensitivity to animals of all backgrounds, especially those who need a little extra patience to feel safe and loved. Every dog I care for gets treated like family. That's just who I am. Pet care is woven into my daily routine, not squeezed into it. I'm an early riser, so morning walks and visits are never rushed. Your pet gets my full attention, every time. Before anything, I take time to understand your pet's routine, personality and needs. During walks I stay fully attentive, no distractions, no rushing. For visits and house sits I follow your routine closely, because familiarity is what keeps pets calm and settled. I drive and walk depending on location, keep you updated with photos and messages, and always leave your home exactly as I found it.

About: I am kind, patient and honest and I believe dogs can sense this. Dogs and cats trust me and I love to connect with them. I am lucky enough to have had dogs and cats my entire life. I currently have full availability for the next few months. I can do dog walks, or drop in visits! I look forward to building a bond with your dog. I do not offer pet care in my own home however, I can provide care in your home. This can include drop in visits and casual pet sitting. I am DBS checked, and currently work as cabin crew so have enhanced security checks.

Hollie stayed with Wilson for 5 days while we went away and we as owners and our pup could not be happier! She spent time with him before to make sure my dog got along with hers. She was really respectful about staying in the house, but most importantly took such good care of our dog. We will book with Hollie again for sure, absolutely delighted to have found Hollie! 💕

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Central Bedfordshire walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Central Bedfordshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
