We live in a large detached house in Meppershall, with plenty of space and a secure & safe fenced back garden. We both work from home, so our schedule allows us to look after your dog/s during the day, for the evening or overnight stays, whilst you work, attend an appointment, have social occasions or go away on a trip. We have two medium size hounds who are Petit Basset Griffon Vendeens. Sonny is 5 and Clara is 18 months old. If you live local to Meppershall you may have seen us out walking them in the village & fields. They are extremely friendly & happy dogs who are happy to welcome furry friends into their space to hang out & play. We will only accept bookings after you’ve brought your dog/s round for a visit and have met us and our dogs , to make sure your dog/s are happy & comfortable here and get along ok with our two. We will include daily walks within your pets stay, either solo or group , depending on what’s best suited to your dog. We have lots of experience looking after dogs, both our own and friends & relatives . From puppies to senior dogs. Including looking after dogs with long term conditions such as diabetes and epilepsy, so we’re comfortable giving medications as directed if required. We will send you regular updates and photos/videos on your pet’s stay, so you can see they are happy & well cared for. Please get in touch if you have any questions We are available on weekdays for doggy daycare, except some Tuesdays. We can also offer weeknight dog sitting, and overnight stays. “When searching four someone’s suitable to watch our two dogs, we had the choice of several sitters. Lucky for us Laura was prompt in her responses so we moved forward and met with her. After meeting Laura and her dog, we knew that’s where we would like our dogs to go because you can tell her love for her pets which we hoped would continue onto ours. She kept us up-to-date with the going on of our dogs with photos and texts, she was honest if there was an issue, and again, she was prompt with replies. As long as Laura continues to pet sit, we will be using her again.”
About: I have grown up with dogs and our wedding present from dad was a beautiful black lab. Family all love dogs and the open countryside. We have one dopey old lady lab who is shy but caring. Fully insured and will provide lots of fun, exercise and petting for your best friends. I have recently retired early so have plenty of time to walk and play with your dogs. I can brush throw sticks and just have fun with them. I occasionally go to the beach with my lab and they would be welcome to join in the splashing. Rest also good in our sunny fenced garden I have a large fenced garden overlooking quiet countryside. I can cage if they/you like for rest otherwise the ground floor home is all theirs to share.

Our 11 month old puppy Leo was eased in well to their household with a couple of visits prior to our weekend away, which was the first time he was away from all of us for more than a few hours. Leo gets on well with Watson and the two of them spending time together has been good for Leo’s confidence and assertiveness as he can be a little submissive with other dogs. Altogether a very positive experience.”

About: I have plenty of cat care experience, mostly learnt over my time working at the national animal welfare trust. This invloved working with strays and boarding cats, including grooming, weighing, health checks, medication administering, specialised diets and many more. This allowed me to learn how to deal with all types of cat temperament. I also fostered a senior cat, Daisy, who sadly passed away March of 2025 from many health issues. Although, she had a comfortable, loving end to her life, surrounded by loved ones instead of a cattery.

We had to be on the phone while Martyna was feeding Phoebe the first two days so she could hear our voices and calm down (she was quite stressed with us not being there) but after that she quickly got used to Martyna being around and absolutely loved her! About: I've been living with dogs and cats for almost all my life and growing up with them taught me what a real best friend is. I became a volunteer in my country in a pet house and I took care of lots of homeless dogs and cats... between puppies and adults.. and the ones pregnant too! My house was their house.. that's why I ended up adopting 7 dogs and 10 cats... with one of my dog I attended lessons at the dogs education school where I improved my knowledge about their behaviour, their fears, how to behave with them, as well as how to teach them common commands like sit down, give me five, or lay down, stay, walk by my side etc.. Being a volunteer as well was helpful to get better with the different type of food depending on their size, age , hair or special needs, lots of different medicine, but especially spending time with them I realised how much they can give to us.. together we play, we sleep, we go to the beach or for a walk.. together we spend special time, and time is the most beautiful gift you can give. Since I moved to UK, I've been missing my pets each day.. I'd be grateful to spend time with yours.. you won't regret!
“I can’t recommend lisa and Alex enough. They stayed in our home for 2 weeks and our pets and house were so well looked after. They sent sent daily photos which often showed my fur babies stretched out on top of lisa giving cuddles, showing how much they had bonded. The house was well looked after and we came back to a clean well kept home. As soon as we met them they made us feel confident about their experience and love of animals. About: Hello, I am Lauren! I have taken care of many dog breeds, anxious or over excited and have been brought up with all kinds of dogs since I was young. My dad used to breed Alsatian’s and my granddad also trained Doberman’s. No dog is an issue, no task is a problem. Whatever your pet needs they will get :) I work for CBC and only look after 1 dog, board 1 dog at any given time, this isn’t my main job and therefore I stick to these rules and unless you have 2 pooches from the same household I cannot be lenient on this so my bookings do go quickly! I board for long stays at my own home and happy to do drop ins but boarding at your home are not possible as I have a 7 year old and insurance only covers me from my home. My property has a lovely garden, fenced and fake grass and i am not precious about poo and wees plus they would be walked daily around the local countryside and to note the property is gated so completely safe, however, I encourage meet and greets each time to ensure the owners are completely comfortable. Especially if your pooch is classed as large. The pooch will have company by my 7 year old who is in love with all shapes and sizes of dogs. Please note: I will not accept any pooches with anxiety towards children. They must be house trained. I will charge for any accidents they require intense cleaning. Please contact if have any questions. Lauren The routine will always be discussed with the owner and honesty is paramount from all parties. Preferred method would be having this documented so both parties are happy with the care in place for the pooch. Any specific instructions like key access must be sent via a private route to protect properties. My home is gated and fenced garden. Security at the home is brilliant. I have had no problems ever reported with run aways or lost pooches.

About: Neil and I are passionate animal lovers offering a calm, loving environment for dog boarding. We cared for our Beagle for 12 wonderful years before she sadly passed away due to illness, which gave me valuable experience with dog care, routines, and companionship. We’ve also looked after family dogs including Cockapoos and Labradors, and regularly care for our neighbours’ cats and dogs while they are away on holiday. Since we’re not quite ready for another dog of our own yet, Rover feels like the perfect way to continue sharing our home and care with dogs. I work from home full-time, and Neil predominantly works from home as well, so there will almost always be one or both of us at home with any boarded dogs throughout their stay. We have a large living area with patio doors leading to a secure, fenced grass garden that dogs can enjoy all year round. Because we work from home, we’re able to give dogs plenty of attention, companionship, and regular toilet breaks throughout the day. We can also take dogs out for walks during breaks, lunch, and in the evenings, so it’s very normal for dogs staying with us to enjoy up to three walks a day depending on their needs and routine. We’re also happy to adapt to older dogs or those who prefer a slower pace and quieter routine. Neil and I provide a safe, calm, and loving home environment where dogs are treated like part of the family. As one or both of us work from home most days, dogs are rarely left alone and receive plenty of attention, regular walks, playtime, and care throughout their stay. About: Sadly we lost our boy a year ago, so since then we have been looking after lots of doggies to get our fix of walks and cuddles. We both grew up with dogs and brought our children up to be dog lovers. We love taking our borrowed pets for lots of walks over the fields and playing with them in our garden. I have put 15 years of experience in my profile to reflect how long we have owned a dog together in this house. 45 years of dog loving makes me look far too old! We have been actively dog sitting since Harry died a year ago. My husband and I are both home all day so we can give your dog our full attention at all times. Occasionally our children may be home from university (one of whom is training to be a vet) and both girls love being around dogs, and always have lots of cuddles to give. We had a dog for 15 years until recently and understand the need for a dog safe house and garden. Our house is open plan so dogs often come up to our room to sleep at night, but they could be shut into our hallway if you would prefer. About: I have grown up with dogs and our wedding present from dad was a beautiful black lab. Family all love dogs and the open countryside. We have one dopey old lady lab who is shy but caring. Fully insured and will provide lots of fun, exercise and petting for your best friends. I have recently retired early so have plenty of time to walk and play with your dogs. About: I’ve looked after a few dogs I have also used to foster dogs and every single one of them have brought a smile on my face each day My special skill is being patient whilst training they will always get their in the end no matter how long it will take to get where your fluffy friend want to be I used to have a black lab since he was a puppy it was quite challenging at first when he wanted to chew everything in the house I would always try keeping him distracted like putting treats in chewy toys spent a lot of time outside playing and telling him no when he tried to and praised him when he had listened I am currently not at work as I have been struggling with my mental health and pets always bring the light back I don’t currently have any pets so it’s a struggle to be in a schedule but most of the time I am always at home and sometimes my neighbors cat comes and visits me I am always free I live in a flat and share a garden with my neighbor who lives downstairs however the garden is split into 2 and fenced so we have our own space When I used to foster dogs I would go for about 20 to 30 min walk in the mornings and about an hour in the afternoon/evening time I would also play with them a lot of the times if they haven’t gotten all their energy out during the walks
About: Ive mostly taken care of cats and kittens since I was 7 and had a husky, Guinea pig and gerbils throughout my childhood. Now in recent times, I have a family senior dog that I take on walks and a cat that loves going on walks too. I am currently working part time since I do have a cat of my own and will be mostly available any day of the week as long as I don’t have anything planned. In my home I have cat safe window netting which allows me to open windows wide without the worry of my cat jumping out and escaping, along with a variety of cat toys for enrichment and cat trees.

We have lots of experience looking after dogs, both our own and friends & relatives . From puppies to senior dogs. “Isabelle's home is spacious and open planned with garden access. Luna was free to move around and explore which helped her to settle; Isabelle has a calming nature and we felt ok leaving. Luna is a strong and determined young lady and not fully trained with street walking, so were so pleased that they managed to be out and about as she pulls a lot. I was pleased to receive timely replies to all our check in messages, especially as Luna had been fussy with her food leading up to her stay away. I would recommend Isabelle because she survived Luna! Thank you”
