I say Love & Hugs...they say Torture !!! I got my first ever pet 11 years ago, my liccle black cat Mooshoo. I never thought I could love an animal as much as I do, and to be honest I never understood people when they called their pets their babies, but my days I love my liccle Bubs. I do torture her with love, cuddles and kisses….but in my defence I have to because if I waited for her to come to me, my goodness I’d be waiting a LONG time. Twice a month on Saturday morning I volunteer at a cat rescue centre. That’s where I fell in love with a beautiful boy cat we named Zorro, that I couldn’t stop thinking about so he now lives with my mum, I also torture him with love, hugs and kisses, but now when I walk through the door he bombs it under the table. I’m pretty sure he loves me…in his own “oh god she’s back” way. I am now in my seventh year with mum & bub fostering and I have seen 457 babies, 91 mums, and 39 misters find their fur-ever home. I have also supported a mum give birth to her 3 very tiny and beautiful kittens. I absolutely love fostering, even though I've had some very upsetting moments, the happier times most certainly help mend a broken heart. Ferals are my favourite, watching them change from fighters to lovers is so rewarding, even if I do end up looking like a shredded cat toy and pin-cushion, what's a few scratches and bites whilst they're learning to love.
