I work from home on a freelance basis and I’m able to build my schedule around my cat sitting responsibilities. I typically do drop-ins in the morning or evening, but can also do midday/afternoon if necessary.

I do not care for pets in my own home. At a client’s home, I stick to the client’s instructions and the cat’s personality first. This usually means petting the cat and playing with them first to make them feel at ease and keep them company. Then I check their food and water per the client’s instructions. Finally, I handle their litterbox as per instructions. If the cat has made any messes with their food, water, or litter, I clean those up too.

I like to know how old they are and whether or not they have been left alone before for an extended period of time. I also like to know about their routines and likes/dislikes.
Ein typischer Tag
It depends on the cat: what they like to do, ans how they respond to strangers. I don’t usually allow them to go outside since I don’t spend enough time at the house to watch them. I do snuggle them and play using their toys.

Meow! I’m Alexz from Atlanta, GA, USA. I live in Bedford with my husband and I work as a freelance translator. Thus far, every part of my time in the UK has been great...except the lack of cats. I am known amongst friends and family as a cat whisperer. I grew up with cats, 15 of them throughout my life, and learned to care for them from a young age. I am a seasoned snuggler, expert litterbox scooper, and very fluent in meow. My other hobbies and interests include baking, reading, walking, traveling, embroidery, and learning languages.

Alexz was amazing looking after Suzy. She is super friendly and ensured that she could meet Suzy’s needs. She kept us updated every time she went to visit Suzy, stayed with her for a while and sent us photos. We would highly recommend :-)
