Availability
I do drop-in visits from 7:30-10 am and 5:30-8 pm around my day job. Cat work keeps me very busy all over town so I do not guarantee specific times unless there is a medical need, despite what the new app says!

Safety, trust & environment
I do not care for pets in my own home. At a client’s home, I stick to the client’s instructions and the cat’s personality first. This usually means petting the cat and playing with them first to make them feel at ease and keep them company. Then I check their food and water per the client’s instructions. Finally, I handle their litterbox as per instructions. If the cat has made any messes with their food, water, or litter, I clean those up too.
Information Alexandra C. would like to know about your pet
I like to know their hiding spots, quirks, what’s normal/abnormal for them in terms of behavior and habits. I also need to know about their health and things to look out for, such as puking or strange behavior.
A typical day
It depends on the cat: what they like to do and how they respond to new people. Shy cats often need several quiet, reassuring visits to get used to me and come out of their shell over time. Other cats are higher energy and willing to interact and play earlier on.

Expat Cat Care
Cat care experience
Meow! I’m Alexz from Atlanta, GA, USA. I live in Bedford with my husband and I work as a freelance translator. Thus far, every part of my time in the UK has been great...except the lack of cats. I am known amongst friends and family as a cat whisperer. I grew up with cats, 15 of them throughout my life, and learned to care for them from a young age. I am a seasoned snuggler, expert litterbox scooper, and very fluent in meow. My other hobbies and interests include baking, reading, walking, traveling, embroidery, and learning languages.
Reviews
Alexandra took great care of my two kitties while I was away. They got daily snuggles, and I got daily cute cat pictures. I would ask her to sit again. Victoria and Scout say thank you! <3
