I grew up surrounded by animals, as my mum is a vet, and I went on to work for many years as a veterinary nurse at her practice. Caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life, not just a job but a true passion. I’ve looked after dogs and cats for friends and family for many years, often house-sitting, and they trust me completely with their pets’ care, routines, and wellbeing. I understand how important it is to leave your much-loved pet with someone reliable, calm, and experienced. I recently lost my soul cat, so I have plenty of love, patience, and care to give to any animal that crosses my path. I’m confident administering medication and giving injections if needed, and I always treat every pet as if they were my own. Your best friend will be in safe, loving hands with me 🐾💛

Our cat Smudge stayed at Vanessa’s care for 5days. She provided a perfect home away from home for Smudge. We came back from holidays and picked up a happy Smudge from her place. I highly recommend her.
We are so happy with how Belle's sit went. She came back very happy and chilled (despite being a slightly anxious dog that doesn't like to be away from home). Vanessa kept us updated and sent pictures and we felt reassured that Belle was being really well looked after.
Vanessa looked after our dog for a week and our experience has been excellent. Even before the session, Vanessa took time to meet our dog and understand her routine. Communication with Vanessa has been very clear and timely; she provided regular updates and nice photos too! She took very good care of our dog who seemed happy and content staying over and would definitely book with her again!
We booked Vanessa for 4 nights for Finley our Caverpoochon It was clear through regular updates how much fun and care he was getting. He simply just had the best time! We are definitely going to be booking again. You will not be disappointed 😀 Thank you both x

Schedule
I work from home with a very flexible schedule, which means I can give pets plenty of attention, playtime, and care throughout the day. I’m around most of the time, so your pet will never feel lonely or rushed. I’m available for day boarding and I also offer overnight boarding, providing a calm, safe, and loving home while you’re away.

I live in a house with a secure, fenced garden where dogs are welcome to safely play and enjoy outdoor time. There are no other animals in my home, so your pet will receive my full attention. For cat stays, I’m very careful to keep doors and access points secure to ensure they remain safe indoors at all times and cannot escape. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority.
A typical day
A typical day with me is relaxed, caring, and tailored to your pet’s needs. I work from home, so your dog or cat will have plenty of company throughout the day. For dogs, we’ll go for a walk before work, another walk during my lunch break, and one after work, with playtime in between. For cats, I’ll spend time playing, giving attention, and making sure they feel settled and comfortable. Throughout the day there will be lots of cuddles, regular check-ins, and a calm, safe environment so your pet feels happy, secure, and well cared for. 💕🐾
