About: Hey, I'm Emily, and I've been around animals for most of my life. I completed a two-year Animal Management course at college and gained lots of hands-on experience through placements at veterinary practices, the RSPCA, at a riding school, an agricultural school in Norway, and conservation projects in rainforest environments across the globe. Alongside this, I also regularly care for pets belonging to my friends and family. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs with additional care needs. I have plenty of experience with dogs requiring extra care, as I regularly care for my parents Cockapoo with a range of health conditions, and my partner's Dachshund who lived to 15 years old and required support with IVDD. These experiences have given me great experience and ability to adapt care to each dog's individual needs. I share my home with my friendly two year old Cocker Spaniel, who loves meeting and playing with other dogs! My partner Alex and I both work from home, meaning your dog will never be left alone and will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day. Dogs staying with us can enjoy daily walks tailored to their needs, regular playtime in our secure garden and home, and lots of affection. I'm also happy to provide regular photo updates, as I love capturing special moments and helping owners feel connected while they're away. We had a fantastic experience booking in with Eve. She was very well equipped to talk through his needs as a 5 month old on his first overnight stay away from home. I walked away feeling very confident in her and Ryan’s experience and abilities. On collection although he was so excited to see us, he was extremely relaxed and calm which I took as a good sign that he had settled in well with them. We got some great pictures from his two night stay and lovely updates on their walks, play, meal times and sleep. Couldn’t recommend them enough and we will definitely book in again soon.
Jolene was fantastic looking after our Beagle, Nala. It was our first time leaving Nala with someone outside of the family, so we were naturally a little nervous, but Jolene put our minds completely at ease. Nala stayed for a week, and we received regular updates and photos showing just how happy and settled she was. She also got on brilliantly with Jolene’s dog, Gracie, which was lovely to see. Being able to relax and enjoy our holiday knowing that Nala was so well cared for meant a lot to us. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Jolene again and would highly recommend her to anyone
I was nervous about leaving my cockapoo with someone I'd found online for the first time, but I absolutely shouldn't have been! Malcolm and his family went above and beyond to look after her. They sent photos and videos throughout the stay so I always knew she was happy and settled, and they were easily contactable whenever I wanted to check in. She also got on brilliantly with their dog Frank, which made it even more reassuring to know she had a little companion to play with. It's clear they treated her like one of their own. I couldn't recommend them more highly and will definitely be booking again!
Hannah and Jack are truly amazing dog sitters. Lola had only been left once before and we were a little unsure of how she’d be. Hannah and Jack were very reassuring, took time to listen to Lola’s routine and quirks and were very aware of her individual needs, leaving us completely at ease. They gave regular updates and sent plenty of pictures and videos so we could see how Lola was getting on - by the looks of it she enjoyed life with them (and Copper) more than her life with us! Really grateful to have found you both and will definitely use again.
Nita and her family were wonderful carers for our dog. The second time we went back Milo went straight in and was keen to see Nita. Milo needed probiotics the second time and Nita was absolutely fine to give them. I got lots of videos and photos on their walks. I have booked twice already and will book again!
We can’t thank Orla enough. It was our first time going away for a long trip and leaving our dog with someone else for 10 days, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. Nathan was outstanding once again. My pup went into her first season on day one with him while I was overseas. He attended to her every need, buying her pads (which she tore up 😆) and made sure she was supervised at all times, particularly around male dogs. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
