“Henry always has a lovely day with Barbara and Roger. When I went to collect him yesterday he wanted to stay! So a great sign he loves staying with them - thank you for taking such good care of my boy xxxx”

“Thank you Leandra and Gary for looking after Monty today. Hes so tired having had such fun with your lovely dog and his friends. Photo updates are great so thank you once again! Rebecca”

“It was our first experience with Ross and everything went smoothly! He's genuinely nice and took excellent care of my fur baby, Toffee. I'm eagerly anticipating our upcoming boarding, confident that Toffee will be in capable and caring hands. I highly recommend Ross!”

“Winston was absolutely knackered and relaxed when I picked him up! I felt very confident he was having a good time and being taken care of! Thank you so so much for giving him a fun day when we urgently needed to be away for the day! Lovely photos and report also!”

“I have used Rhona and Rich a couple of times now. From the first meeting i knew Betsi would be happy and well looked after by them.During her stay i am kept updated with photographs which clearly show how happy Betsi is in their care.Betsi gets excited when she knows she's going to Rhonas for doggy daycare.I would highly recommend Rhona and Rich in looking after your dog”

“Our dog has been staying with Laura for a few months now. He always has the best time. She has lots of other friendly dogs that day board which means he always has a special time and comes back nice and tired. Laura has also been great to leave Milo with at holidays, with lots of regular updates to keep us involved.”

“David was super friendly and accommodating with great communication. Tessa had a fab time relaxing at home and going for a walk. We'd definitely book in with David again.”

“Julia is fantastic with my dog, she understands him and his quirks/needs completely. She treats him with as much love and attention as though he were her own pet and I have been able to leave my fur baby and go to work this week with complete confidence that he is in the best of care and comes home one happy pup! Thank you 🌟”

About: I grew up with 2 cats but have looked after my boyfriends German Shepard frequently in the past 6 years. I am new to dog walking but will absolutely love it from looking after a fluffball German Shepard. I currently work from home majority of the week and am flexible with what dates I can be at home. So lots of time for cuddles and attention inbetwewn meetings! We have a small garden in our home which is surrounding by fencing and brick wall so no escape artists here! In your home you won’t even know I was there.

“Tatiana & her family were so lovely and well experienced with dogs, so Lola was in very safe hands! They cared for Lola well especially given she recently had her spay op. We will 1000% ask for Tatiana to dogsit again ?”

“Exceptional. Samba is a rescue and has a few little quirks. Charlotte was very understanding and happily went at Samba’s pace. Spent their time together cuddling which is Samba’s favourite thing to do. I would happily use Charlotte again and recommend her care. Thank you again.”

“Dominika took such great care of my dog, Salsa, while she was at daycare. She was incredibly attentive, made sure Salsa was comfortable and happy, and even helped administer her medication with no issues at all. She also provided regular photo updates, which gave me real peace of mind and was so lovely to receive throughout the day. I would 100% book with Dominika again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter!”

“Leana was brilliant from the start and quick to respond to all messages and questions. We met for a walk to make sure the dogs were compatible before confirming the sit. She was accommodating with time changes on the day and had good management of Coco's over excited enthusiasm. Sent pictures and a video during the day of Coco and her feedback on her behaviour during her stay will help me plan any future dog sits she attends. I would recommend Leana and her beautiful dog Maple.”

“Simon is truly wonderful with dogs! Very professional, always on time and gave us great photo updates throughout the day. We had our 10 year old Chihuahua, Teddy, stay at their house in Teddington for doggy daycare and he had an amazing time! Teddy, being an older dog, would normally take a lot longer to warm up to new people and places - and is generally more suspicious of anyone he's not familiar with. So we were thrilled when we saw that he settled in really quickly with Simon and had two great days of walkies in parks, sitting on laps and sunbathing on their patio. ☀️ Teddy was so visibly excited after his daycare that he spent the first hour after coming doing zoomies and wagging his tail continuously, which again is so rare for Ted! Very happy to have found Simon and his partner, and will definitely book again.”

“Phoebe was lovely, we felt so reassured leaving Caju with a genuine Greyhound lover! It was a bit of a hot day, but Phoebe knew to take it easy with Caju, and they had a great day chilling together in her garden and some shady spots inside. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Phoebe again, thanks!”

Alice was really lovely and Nala had a wonderful time with her. It was the first time Nala was left with someone she didn’t know and she had a lovely time with Alice. Alice sent some photos of her during the day and messages which was really nice. Thank you Alice we will definitely be booking Nala in again. X 😊🐶

SNOW is very nervous and takes a long time to trust new people. Emily was kind and patient. She gave SNOW the time and space to build the trust. She also has a very calm presence which helps SNOW calm down. Emily has cared for SNOW twice and both times she's been wonderful. We received updates of SNOW throughout the day and SNOW trusts her with walks. We'll definitely be booking Emily when SNOW needs care.

Exceptional. Samba is a rescue and has a few little quirks. Charlotte was very understanding and happily went at Samba’s pace. Spent their time together cuddling which is Samba’s favourite thing to do. I would happily use Charlotte again and recommend her care. Thank you again.

My dog had a lovely time with Amelia. She kept us updated throughout and sent pictures which was reassuring. The process was really easy and it felt like Teddy went from home to another. Will definitely be booking with Amelia again and would really recommend her to anyone who wants a loving sitter :) x

We had a lovely walk together with the dogs to get them used to each other and then I left mine with Christina for a couple of hours. She was wonderful, sending through photos to show that Otis was settled and happy at hers. I look forward to using her to care for Otis when we go on vacation.

Ellie, Luke and their little Leo were the perfect people to look after my little dog, Tim. Kind, calm, thoughtful and wonderful people. I felt 100% reassured and comfortable leaving Tim for a whole day with them, despite knowing what a clingy (to me) dog I have. Tim was taken out for walks on Claygate common and got cuddle time at home. I was sent update photos during the day too. Very grateful for this very positive experience as my first experience on Rover. Thank you Ellie and Luke.

Freya always has such a lovely time with Rosie and Will, she comes home tired and happy! Rosie is lovely and super accommodating - I recently forgot to bring the cage and she was really understanding and was able to still encourage naps and playtime with our five month old! Definitely recommend 🙂

Nikoletta provided excellent care for Bowie, giving me peace of mind whilst working nearby. She provided me with updates and photos during the booking, and had excellent communication in the lead up to the booking! Would highly recommend Nikoletta for doggy day care and will certainly be rebooking.

Georgie was absolutely fantastic with Ralphie and he had a lovely time with her and her gorgeous dog Toby. Georgie asked all the right questions to get to know Ralphie ahead of his daycare and she kept me up to date with fun photos throughout his time with her. I felt so comfortable leaving Ralphie with Georgie, I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a loving and thoughtful home from home for their dog!

Tatiana was wonderful to Chester when he stayed with her for doggy day care. We were a bit apprehensive about leaving him for the first time on this app but Tatiana made us feel really welcome with a pre visit and reassured us throughout the day with photos and videos. She took him out for a walk, fed him even though he was a bit nervous and treated him to many biscuits and cuddles which I know were much appreciated! So glad we found a good place we can leave Chester if needed where we know he will be safe and well taken care of!

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
