About: Having previously fostered for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, we were delighted to adopt our own little Bichon, Sid. We shared six wonderfully happy years with him before he recently passed away. Now, our dog-friendly home full of love and space is ready to welcome your dog. We have a secure garden and plenty of lovely local walks right on our doorstep. We truly believe a home should feel as much your dog’s as it does ours, so any pet staying with us is free to relax and roam throughout the house without restriction. We love going for walks and are home throughout the day. Understanding how important routine is for dogs, we’re happy to adapt ours to suit each individual dog we welcome into our home. We have a fenced safe garden and a house big enough to roam around. We had a driveway. We have previously fostered and adopted by Battersea Dogs Home and passed their vetting process.

About: I have trained both my parent's dog as well as my own dog (cockapoo '21). Think: puppy and behaviour training in village halls and outdoor fields. I have done house sitting for several families in Surrey and enjoy looking after pets and the house. I'm super neat and could also agree on some other jobs, like watering plants etc. I'm an online language teacher and can work from everywhere, as long as I have wifi! As long as I get enough notice, I can easily plan longer house & pet sits as well. Usually families request me for school holidays and bank holiday weekends at least half a year in advance, so the earlier you ask, the bigger the chance that I'm free. I like clear written instructions with regard to food, exercise, care and timings. If you wanted to book me for a weekend or an extended stay and prefer a video call or quick meet beforehand, I could definitely get that organised as well. I'm new on Rover, but have done house and pet sitting before. This was more informal and through word of mouth.
“Paris is a kind and lovely girl who made us both feel so welcome. It’s clear she loves pets as if they were her own. Cooper was thoroughly spoilt and we will definitely be booking again with Paris. Thank you again for looking after my boy so well. It means such a lot knowing he’s in safe hands.”

About: Hi I’m Susie and I love animals. Growing up we had many dogs, cats, chickens and guinea pigs and our last dog was a Rhodesian Ridgeback. I currently don’t have a dog so decided to fill a very much needed gap of looking after dogs and getting my doggy fix all at the same time. I mostly only take one dog at a time and your dog becomes a part of our family while you are away and if history goes to show they will be absolutely delighted anytime they return. Snuggles in bed are encouraged (if that’s ok with you) and I really do love looking after peoples pets as if they are my own. I’m someone that is very picky when it comes to leaving my animals with someone and I’m so proud that I’m able to be that person for others, where you go away knowing that your dog is in the best of hands and being adored whilst you are away. I take them out for walks everyday and will take them with me everywhere I can if they are dogs that are comfortable with that. Dogs must like children as I have two ages 12 and 14. I miss the dogs we look after when they go and very much look forward to seeing them again soon x I am a stay at home mum who works a few hours a week as a swim teacher. The dogs that stay here become a part of our family whilst they are here x We treat your dog like it’s our own beloved animal. As we get to know your dog it becomes our loved animal too. We have a fenced garden and also live across the road from a very large green space that also has a river where many people walk their dogs off lead. I’m happy for you and your dog to come and meet me before staying to put you and your dogs mind at rest :)
About: Hello, I'm Ryan! 👋 I've been a devoted dog dad for over 8 years to my two adopted pups, Bella and Indi. Sadly, Indi passed away last year after a brave fight with cancer, but the love and care I gave (and still give to Bella) has only deepened my passion for looking after animals. I know first-hand how much our pets mean to us - they’re not just animals, they’re family. I’ve gained experience with everything from giving medications to building trust with shy or anxious pups. Having used Rover for many years to book dog sitters for Indi and Bella, I also know how important it is to know that your loved ones are safe and happy while at doggy day care. I work from home full-time as a software engineer, which means your pet will never be left alone or ignored. I have a spacious, secure garden full of toys for playtime, and with Hatherop Park just a few steps away, your dog will enjoy plenty of fresh air. Whether your pet loves quiet cuddles, interactive games, or outdoor adventures, I’m happy to tailor their care to make them feel right at home. I work from home full-time Monday to Thursday inclusive. I take my dog Bella on a walk every morning and can also fit in another walk in the afternoon if your dog needs one. I have a large garden and can play your dog in the garden throughout the day. I'm happy to discuss any particular requirements you have. I have a large, secure, fenced garden that’s always accessible to your dog, giving them plenty of safe space to explore and play. Inside, there’s a variety of comfy dog beds and a huge selection of toys to keep them entertained and relaxed. My own dog, Indi, was a small Jackawawa, so I added dog steps to help her get up onto the bed and sofa safely. Those are still in place, so if your dog has little legs or needs a bit of help, they’ll still be able to enjoy their independence around my house. I make sure pets in my care feel safe, loved, and at home - whether they’re curling up on the sofa or zooming around the garden!

About: I offer caring, reliable pet sitting with a focus on long, enriching walks in woodland and green spaces. I love giving dogs the time they need to explore, exercise, and enjoy the outdoors, helping them stay happy, calm, and well-stimulated. I’m patient, attentive, and confident handling different energy levels, from playful pups to older dogs who prefer a steadier pace. I always follow routines closely and make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. I’m able to dedicate a lot of time and attention to pet care, ensuring dogs receive regular exercise, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I follow a consistent routine that includes long walks, feeding, rest, and one-on-one interaction so each pet feels comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment in my home. I have a secure fenced yard and two friendly, well-socialised dogs for company if your dog enjoys being around others. All interactions are supervised, routines are followed carefully, and I’m happy to crate dogs if needed. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness always come first.
“I can not thank Ross and His partner enough. Not only did they help and look after Milo with very little notice, they did it in a fantastic way. Welcomed I to their home and he loved every minute. I was stuck in horrible traffic and the went above and beyond and had no issues with keeping him for several hours over pick up time. THANK YOU, YOU ABSOLUTE LEGENDS.”

“We were so pleased to find Dominika, who has now looked after our 20-month-old Chihuahua, Donnie, a couple of times for the day. Dominika is responsive, communicative, friendly, and clearly loves dogs. From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease leaving Donnie in her care. Each time, Donnie has come home happy, relaxed, well exercised, fed, and thoroughly looked after. It’s clear that Dominika spends quality time with him, making sure he gets plenty of attention, play, and care throughout the day. We really appreciate the updates and communication while he’s with her, which gives us great peace of mind. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dominika to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable dog sitter!”

“Amazing time my two had with you !! They were so happy after we picked them up and so pleased I found you! Thanks and excellent day care and looking forward to the August boarding! 5 big shiny stars !!”
“Thank you so much Sally for looking after our golden retriever Arlo today. You welcomed her into your home & she settled very well. You were so attentive to her needs & she had such a lovely time on the walk judging from the the many photos you sent us. Thank you so much for keeping in touch with us throughout the day, we really appreciated. We couldn't recommend you enough.”

“Poppy instantly fell in love with Nat, and I couldn't have been happier leaving them together. Communication was excellent and I would happily leave Poppy with Nat again and recommend her to others!”

“Andre is a fantastic dog carer. Molly warmed to him immediately. It's clear he has a natural way with dogs, as his own pet is equally relaxed and friendly. Andre is very attentive and provides regular updates and pictures throughout the day. Molly was clearly happy to see him again on his next visit, which gave me great confidence in his care.”

About: Hi! I’m a huge dog lover and have had dogs in my life for over 15 years. I previously owned a Labrador, who I cared for throughout her entire life, including her final years when she was bravely battling liver cancer. During that time, I supported her with feeding, medication, comfort, and mobility when she needed extra help. That experience taught me so much about patience, empathy, and giving dogs the love and care they deserve at every stage of life. I work from home when needed, with flexibility for regular breaks, which makes it easy for me to spend plenty of time with dogs throughout the day. I love walking and aim for 10,000 steps every day, so your dog will get plenty of exercise, fresh air, and fun company! I also have every other Friday off and most weekends completely free, which gives me extra time to focus on walks, playtime, and cuddles. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I make sure every dog in my care gets the attention, exercise, and love they need. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy in my company. I’ll take them on walks to get exercise and fresh air, but more importantly, I focus on fun! Playtime, games, and plenty of cuddles are always part of the day, tailored to each dog’s personality and energy level. Whether in my home or theirs, I make sure your pet feels loved, secure, and entertained while you’re away.

“Evie took care of our little corgi puppy Eevee for the day and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We received numerous updates throughout the day which reassured us that she is well and taken care of. Froggy was also very sweet and protective of our puppy. We really feel like she was in good hands and paws. Highly recommend Evie!”

About: I’ve been friendly with dogs my whole life and frequently dropped in to look after my neighbours dogs. I currently have a lovely springer a home. I am available all day every day to spend plenty of time with your pup - all dogs are welcome! Size, breed and age don’t matter :) I have just finished my A-levels and am planning to do a gap year so I am available the entire week to play with and pay attention to your dog! Two walks a day is standard with the first usually in the late morning. A second walk also usually takes place between 4-6 depending on energy levels. I have a fenced garden roughly 20x30m, so plenty of space to play ball and searching games. I have a male (neutered) springer spaniel who is very friendly at home, he's currently 2.5yrs so I am very used to a moderately high energy dog.

Our Rodney had a fab time with Gov yesterday and even made a new 4 legged friend. Rodney is now quite an old dog and his behaviour has settled down. He is now a lot calmer and he remembered Gov from his previous visits. Rodney always enjoys his visits and would happily book him in with Gov again. Thank you for taking care of him for us.

Alice was really lovely and Nala had a wonderful time with her. It was the first time Nala was left with someone she didn’t know and she had a lovely time with Alice. Alice sent some photos of her during the day and messages which was really nice. Thank you Alice we will definitely be booking Nala in again. X 😊🐶

SNOW is very nervous and takes a long time to trust new people. Emily was kind and patient. She gave SNOW the time and space to build the trust. She also has a very calm presence which helps SNOW calm down. Emily has cared for SNOW twice and both times she's been wonderful. We received updates of SNOW throughout the day and SNOW trusts her with walks. We'll definitely be booking Emily when SNOW needs care.

Exceptional. Samba is a rescue and has a few little quirks. Charlotte was very understanding and happily went at Samba’s pace. Spent their time together cuddling which is Samba’s favourite thing to do. I would happily use Charlotte again and recommend her care. Thank you again.

My dog had a lovely time with Amelia. She kept us updated throughout and sent pictures which was reassuring. The process was really easy and it felt like Teddy went from home to another. Will definitely be booking with Amelia again and would really recommend her to anyone who wants a loving sitter :) x

We had a lovely walk together with the dogs to get them used to each other and then I left mine with Christina for a couple of hours. She was wonderful, sending through photos to show that Otis was settled and happy at hers. I look forward to using her to care for Otis when we go on vacation.

Ellie, Luke and their little Leo were the perfect people to look after my little dog, Tim. Kind, calm, thoughtful and wonderful people. I felt 100% reassured and comfortable leaving Tim for a whole day with them, despite knowing what a clingy (to me) dog I have. Tim was taken out for walks on Claygate common and got cuddle time at home. I was sent update photos during the day too. Very grateful for this very positive experience as my first experience on Rover. Thank you Ellie and Luke.

Freya always has such a lovely time with Rosie and Will, she comes home tired and happy! Rosie is lovely and super accommodating - I recently forgot to bring the cage and she was really understanding and was able to still encourage naps and playtime with our five month old! Definitely recommend 🙂

Nikoletta provided excellent care for Bowie, giving me peace of mind whilst working nearby. She provided me with updates and photos during the booking, and had excellent communication in the lead up to the booking! Would highly recommend Nikoletta for doggy day care and will certainly be rebooking.

Georgie was absolutely fantastic with Ralphie and he had a lovely time with her and her gorgeous dog Toby. Georgie asked all the right questions to get to know Ralphie ahead of his daycare and she kept me up to date with fun photos throughout his time with her. I felt so comfortable leaving Ralphie with Georgie, I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a loving and thoughtful home from home for their dog!

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
