About: I grew up with 2 cats but have looked after my boyfriends German Shepard frequently in the past 6 years. I am new to dog walking but will absolutely love it from looking after a fluffball German Shepard. I currently work from home majority of the week and am flexible with what dates I can be at home. So lots of time for cuddles and attention inbetwewn meetings! We have a small garden in our home which is surrounding by fencing and brick wall so no escape artists here! In your home you won’t even know I was there.

“First time we left Simba with anyone and he had a great sleepover. Lucie was incredible with Simba and kept me updated on how he was doing to help me feel far more relaxed whilst at my brothers wedding. He is already booked in for his next holiday!”

“A huge thank you! This is the second time I’ve booked Tiger in. Regular and speedy contact, lots of love and walks for a very energetic little dog! He’s been very well looked after!”

“Daisy loved being looked after Lyudmila, she didn't want to leave. The communication was also nice and prompt. When we need daycare again next time I know who to ask first for someone I can trust. Thank you for all the photos too!”

“Juno had a great stay for the day with Jake & co. Such a lovely couple and we can't forget Nelly too- it seems they got on really well together. Jake provided lots of pictures and was very accommodating.”

About: I have owned different dogs (small and medium) over the years. I enjoy dog walking, playing with dogs and the company of dogs. We have a large secure garden and dogs have lived with us happily in our current home previously. I have also looked after friends and family dogs and live close to parks. I am also happy to travel to look in on your dog at their home for walks, feeding and playtime I currently work part time and therefore can be flexible around your needs both during the week and weekends either at my home or yours. I have a fenced large garden, have a retractable gate in our living room which a crate can fit in, we have a crate or if necessary you can bring your own, your dog would be part of the family, lots of cuddles and play and sleeping on the bed, so doesn't feel lonely

“Henry always has a lovely day with Barbara and Roger. When I went to collect him yesterday he wanted to stay! So a great sign he loves staying with them - thank you for taking such good care of my boy xxxx”

“Natasha was incredibly accommodating and great with Tiny. She clearly has good experience with dogs and made sure Tiny had a wonderful time. I’d definitely book with her again in the future!”

“Emily was great at keeping me updated through the day with how Theo was for his first visit! I felt really comfortable leaving Theo with Emily, and Tony seems like a great companion for visiting dogs! We will definitely be booking in again soon. Thanks again Emily🫶🏻”

“Melissa is professional and fantastic with communication. She was incredibly accommodating to my husband and I with a last minute need for a dog sitter and even with a few even more last minute time changes on the day. We were truly appreciative of her help and we felt confident that our puppy Marshall was well-cared for. Thank you Melissa!”

“Cosmos had a great stay with Leanne and Robin. Leanne clearly has a love for dogs and is able to make them quickly feel at home. Thanks also for your incredible flexibility on pick up time - much appreciated!”

“Shirley and Chris are just lovely. I was so relieved that they were able to help with my cockapoo at relatively short notice. Shirley came to meet Tilly a week beforehand and I knew I would be relaxed leaving my dog with her. Thank you so much to both of you.”

“Would totally recommend Shannon for dog sitting. She took care of our dog Gracie for the day. She was super responsive to messages when booking her and also during the day sending lots of pictures. Gracie had a lovely day and we’ve just booked her in again.”

About: Hi, I'm Angela! I live in a three-adult household of dog lovers with no children. We don’t have any other pets but have previously owned a Shih Tzu and a Golden Retriever who were both happy and healthy and lived to 17 and 14 years respectively so your dogs will be in great care. I am also physically active and will have no issues getting them the exercise and training they will need. I live in a privately owned flat in Sutton, with easy access to multiple green spaces and which is a 15-minute walk to a 24-hour vet. Your dog and their needs will fit seamlessly right into my routine. I'm a recent Masters graduate from UCL and currently on the hunt for a permanent job. This means I have a lot of time on my hands to spend looking after your dogs and giving them all the love, attention, and play time they deserve including weekdays and weekends. I am an active individual and typically start every other day with a run (or walk) around the neighbourhood which I would love to have your dog be a part of depending on their physical ability. I am also hoping to ease back into hiking and would be more than happy to have your dog with me if appropriate, and of course with all the necessary care being taken. The rest of my days are typically spent at home cooking and job searching, and in my spare time, having a quiet day in, leaving me available to spend time around your dog. If I do go out, it's just down the high street and around the area or to the city, which if appropriate, could involve your dog by my side! I believe a routine is incredibly important for all dogs and will take the utmost care sticking to the routine you have established with your dogs (e.g., meal and potty schedule, play time, down time, etc.) I live in a 3-adult household with no children and no other pets, but have cared for a puppy briefly so the flat is puppy (and dog) proof. I have some prior experience crate training a 3 month old puppy and so should have no problem introducing or enforcing this with your dog for longer or recurring stays. I can also work on other basic training with your dog (e.g., sit, stay, lie down, paw, drop/leave it, etc.) While I do live in a spacious flat, I have no private garden. However, I am surrounded by dog friendly green spaces, with the nearest park being less than a 5-minute walk away. In case of any emergencies, the nearest 24-hour vet is only a 14-minute walk/3-minute Uber from me.
About: I’ve helped train and raise my family lab for 14 years, so I know how important it is for you to find a trusted walker/sitter to keep them healthy and happy while you're away. I’ve also helped care for my friends' dogs - feeding, medicating and poop scooping as required between constant ball throwing and cuddles. I really miss my own dog and I would love to have that joy back in my life. I have a flexible schedule as I'm currently in between jobs and so I'll be able to fit around you and give them plenty of love. My home includes a large garden and I live right next to woodland so they’ll have plenty of space to explore. Waking up at 7am I do toilet breaks before their morning walk in the local woods followed by breakfast. I'll play with them in the garden and keep the door open so they can come from kitchen to garden as they like. Then for lunch we will do a larger walk in the local area before dinner and snuggles in the evening. The garden is fenced and gated, with a large open space to throw balls and for them to run around. We are two minutes walk from the woodland for easy walks. I also regularly drive to new areas in the Surrey hills to try new hiking routes with woods, rivers and fields for them to explore. Our home includes myself and my parents, both of whom grew up with dogs and love them as much as I do.
“Snow came back really happy. She was well looked after and much loved 🥰 many many thanks for such a great day. You will definitely be my first and favourite person to contact for future dates.”

Wan Yi and her partner are excellent. I chose them as Ben’s regular sitters after starting a new job in the city, which meant changing our routine from working at home to spending two days a week in the office. They have been consistently kind and reliable, and they always send photos and videos, which is very reassuring. I’m confident Ben is in very good hands and would highly recommend them. Thank you both! ♥️

Onuora was incredible with Yumi! She looked after her for the day, Yumi felt so at home and she is usually quite reluctant to go for walkies but she loved going for walkies with Onuora. She sent lots of cute updates. Thank you- Yumi will definitely be back again 💕

James and Jayne have been looking after Otis weekly for me for a while now. He loves being with them so much and always sees to have a great time. They are thorough and considerate and always so flexible with pickup and drop off. Couldn’t speak higher of them :)

Left my two Chihuahua's with Nadia for most of the day whilst I was at work. Both the dogs were well taken care of, lots of walks, photos and cuddles. I could not have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend. They are both looking forward to their next visit with Nadia!

Coco spent a day at Megan’s & made herself at home as soon as we arrived. Megan sent us photos and a video and kept us up to date throughout the day. Coco had two walks at 2 different parks and plenty of cuddles on the sofa. Thank you Megan, Coco can’t wait to come back soon.

We had a fantastic experience with Charlie! He took wonderful care of our Golden Retriever, Oscar. It was clear Oscar was comfortable with him and enjoyed playing with the other dogs. Charlie sent us regular photo and video updates, which we really appreciated. We would definitely book with Charlie again and highly recommend him

My dog Nina bonded with Neha after her first visit and as a result, I use Neha weekly. Neha is a great communicator and I love getting photos and updates on how Nina is doing. Nina can be quite excitable, but I know feels calm due to Neha’s awesome demeanour. I would not hesitate to recommend Neha. 💕

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Banstead commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.
Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
