“We would leave a 6 star review if we could. This is the first time we have used a dog sitter. We were very nervous about leaving our 2 dogs (both have their own insecurities) but they were instantly at ease with Richard and we returned to find the house just as we’d left it and lovely and clean and tidy. Richard’s regular updates reassured us that they were happy and very well looked after and we couldn’t have asked for a better service. Highly recommended.”

“Thank you so much for dog sitting Izzy, you were brilliant! Izzy was so lovely and cared for Ziggy really well. She sent us regular updates, looked after Ziggy and our house wonderfully. We would highly recommend Izzy and hope to use her again soon.”

“Ighodalo was excellent with Gofio. He house sat for us for 18 days. He looked very well after Gofio and kept us up to date. From the pictures it looked like they had a lot of fun together. He was very respectful of the house and followed our instructions regarding his medication and care. We'll try to book him again when we next go away!”

“Jessica is amazing! We have a 4 month old puppy and he was very happy to spend time with her! Also she gave us some great advices about dog and did everything as we asked her. So I would definitely recommend her to everyone!”

“I can't recommend Sabrina highly enough. She won over a very tough customer, my chihuahua with separation anxiety, with remarkable ease. Normally, it takes my dog several visits with a new sitter before she's calm and relaxed when I get home. But after her very first time with Sabrina, she was completely at ease and showed no signs of anxiety. That was incredible and brought me great peace of mind. I wouldn't hesitate to book Sabrina again.”

About: Animals have been a constant in my life from a young age. Life without their companionship isn’t worth living in my opinion. I have a broad experience of animal care from my own beloved pets - from puppy and kitten stage including training and more intense levels of engagement, play and attention, right up to senior years including administration of medications, monitoring conditions, and adapting care to suit the needs to frail or disabled animals. From a young age I offered private dog walking to my local area, both on and off leash, and different distances and levels of interaction depending on the needs and age of the dog and I am currently the go to dog walker, sitter and drop in for my neighbours one of whom has just welcomed a new puppy into their household and with whom I am regularily assisting with toilet breaks, walks, and feeding where needed. I have two cats of my own, who, I also walk having leash trained them from a young age. Living close to a busy road has meant that inorder to provide my kitties with the enrichment and stimulation they deserve, I make sure that I take them out every day if I can where we enjoy play, sunbathing and ‘sniff tours’. I am a reliable and trustworthy individual who will treat your beloved pet as I would my own. I take animal care very seriously and will go over and above to ensure the safety and happiness of all animals within my care. I rent two antiques stalls at a local antique centre, which allows me complete flexibility in my daily life. I can attend to my stall, at times that suit me; as little or as often as I need to. Therefore, I am able to offer complete flexibility when it comes to availability for pet care. I have mentioned already in my bio about my two beloved cats and the leash training that I have done with them and the outdoor enrichment this provides them safely, in an area which is otherwise, in my opinion, not safe for cats to roam freely. I devote myself to my pets and to the animals in my care; their needs come first, always. I offer everything from hands on engagement, play, grooming, medication administration and exercise to distanced companionship for those who want space and nothing more than to feel a presence within the home or an owner who requires the peace of mind that a watchful eye provides while they are away.
“Justina was amazing in every way. We had an initial chat followed by a meet and greet to ensure we both felt comfortable with everything. I totally felt like I could trust her with our precious animals and our home while we went on a trip. She was very good at sending lots of updates and photos and I really felt like she cared about them, celebrating their little idiosyncrasies and cuteness. I would have no hesitation in recommending Justina to look after your little fluff balls and I hope we will see her again 😀”

“Alexandru was a star housesitter. He looked after our very old dog during the heatwave which must have been really challenging. The house was spotless and I will definitely book him again, if he will have us.”

“Juno was very happy to see Ross again when he arrived. He was punctual as always and we could leave Juno knowing she was in a safe pair of hands. He gave me up dates and photos on how she was while I was away and I didn’t need to worry about her at all. Thank you for caring for her so well.”

“Leah is a fantastic dog sitter. She looked after Biscuit beautifully, followed all our instructions and sent us lots of beautiful photos and videos while we were out. Biscuit was really happy to see her after our meet and greet a few days before and clearly got lots of pets and attention while we were out! She was clearly very comfortable and happy with Leah and we felt comfortable and confident having Leah in our home. Thank you!”

“Isabella was amazing with Bennie and Lyra for the day when I was away. She kept me regularly updated with photos and messages. Would STRONGLY recommend her for dog sitting and we can’t wait to have her again ♥️”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We are so grateful for Durga! Our senior dog had a fall the day before we left for our trip, so we needed extra support — crate time and overall extra TLC. Durga was fantastic about all of it. She gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. You could tell she genuinely cared about our dogs and went above and beyond to look after them. We received updates twice a day with details on how the dogs were doing, and she asked thoughtful questions to make sure she was doing everything right which was really appreciated. Our house was spotless when we got home, and the kind, attentive care she showed our senior dogs was truly special. We would absolutely recommend Durga and will definitely be booking again. Thank you so much!”

“Neve did wonderfully well with Evie during one of the hottest times of this summer. Evie struggles when she is hot so Neve walked her around 6am in the morning before it was too hot for Evie. Neve kept Evie in the room with air conditioning and made sure the house was as comfortable for Evie that it could be with shutters and blinds closed against the heat. The house was immaculate when we got back and Neve was very good putting up with our return at a later time than we had hoped. We would book Neve again.”

Neetal is absolutely wonderful in every way! My dog absolutely adored her from the moment she walked through the door. She took amazing care of him, sent me tons of photos, looked after my home beautifully. A total joy to communicate with, Neetal goes the extra mile and then a hundred more. And she’s super fun! Cannot recommend her highly enough! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jamie was a fantastic house sitter and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better to look after Kaos and Kovu. From the moment we met him at the introduction, he built an instant rapport with them, which immediately put us at ease. His communication throughout our time away was excellent. He kept us updated and reassured, which meant a lot to us while we were gone. Kaos clearly had a wonderful time with him, enjoying plenty of long walks and attention, and Jamie was incredibly gentle and affectionate with our Bengal cat, Kovu. It was clear that he genuinely cared about the boys and took the responsibility seriously. We came home to two very happy pets and a well-looked-after home, which is exactly what every pet owner hopes for. We would absolutely recommend Jamie to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and attentive house sitter.

Alexa was amazing. Not only did she take such great care of Monty, she made him feel exactly like we do by taking him with her while out with friends, enjoying walks in parks, and playing with him at home. She took extra special care of him and sent us plenty of pictures throughout our weekend away. Would definitely recommend her :)

Outstanding service, excellent communication keeping us updated with all Bob's ( dogs ) activities and sharing great pics. Showed incredible flexibility with timings and dates as we had last minute changes in our plans and Sonia was able to manage and put any concerns to rest. Very professional and definitely recommend Sonia's services, we look forward to booking more holidays so that Bob can enjoy more time with Sonia. Thanks again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Banstead walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Banstead choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
