We would leave a 6 star review if we could. This is the first time we have used a dog sitter. We were very nervous about leaving our 2 dogs (both have their own insecurities) but they were instantly at ease with Richard and we returned to find the house just as we’d left it and lovely and clean and tidy. Richard’s regular updates reassured us that they were happy and very well looked after and we couldn’t have asked for a better service. Highly recommended.

Thomas took wonderful care of our dog, Luka. He kept us regularly updated with messages and photos, which really put our minds at ease and allowed us to fully enjoy our holiday. It was clear that Luka was in very good hands. If we have the opportunity in the future, we would absolutely love to ask Thomas to look after Luka again. Highly recommended.

About: Hi, my name is Charlotte, and I’m the founder of BellsandWhisles. Based in Sutton, I offer loving and reliable home boarding and house-sitting services for dogs. I have a real passion for animal care and over four years of hands-on experience working in a busy dog daycare environment. I have also completed work experience in kennels and catteries, veterinary surgeries and grooming, giving me experience with a wide range of dogs and their individual needs. I hold Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Animal Care and Management, as well as a degree in Animal Science. I am fully insured and first aid trained, so your dog’s safety, welfare and happiness will always be my top priority. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to get to know their individual personality, routine and needs. Whether your dog is energetic and playful, nervous or requires a little extra patience and reassurance, I will provide them with the care, attention and love they deserve. I have experience with dog behaviour, enrichment, safe handling and creating positive environments for dogs. I believe in treating every dog in my care as if they were my own and making sure they feel comfortable, secure and happy while you are away. I would love to meet you and your dog and discuss how I can provide the best possible care for them. 🐾 I’m currently in the process of starting my own pet care business, Bells and Whistles, which means I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to the pets in my care. As I am not currently working another job, I can focus fully on providing attentive, reliable care, including feeding, walks, playtime, enrichment, toilet breaks and plenty of affection. I will always aim to maintain each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, helping them feel comfortable and settled while their owners are away. With my experience and qualifications in animal care, I’m confident caring for pets with different personalities, energy levels and individual needs. I take the safety, welfare and happiness of every pet in my care extremely seriously. Whether caring for pets in my home or in their owner’s home, I always follow their usual routine and the owner’s instructions as closely as possible. I make sure pets have a safe, clean and secure environment, with plenty of supervision, exercise, enrichment and affection. Before caring for a pet, I like to learn about their individual needs, personality, routines, feeding requirements, medical needs and any behavioural concerns. I am experienced in working with dogs of different breeds, ages and temperaments, and I understand the importance of recognising body language and allowing each pet to settle at their own pace. I am fully insured, first-aid trained and qualified in Animal Management, with a degree in Animal Science. I will always keep owners updated and ensure their pets are cared for as if they were my own.

Neve was fabulous looking after our Wire Fox Terrier, Marty, for over a week whilst we were on holiday. In advance of us leaving, Marty had been seriously ill and was on three different medications that were administered four times a day so it was a relief that Neve wasn't at all fazed and was more than capable. Neve was a great communicator and regularly sent photos of Marty enjoying his walks and sunbathing. Would highly recommend Neve.

About: Hi! I'm Melissa, and caring for animals has always been one of the biggest passions in my life. For the past 10 years, I've volunteered with animal rescue organisations in both the UK and China, where I've had the privilege of caring for animals and helping them find loving forever homes. During that time, I've fostered six cats in the UK, as well as five adult dogs, two puppies and a kitten in China. Every animal has taught me something new, and I've become confident caring for pets with different personalities, routines and needs. I know how difficult it can be to leave your pet with someone else, so my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable and cared for while you're away. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles or simply a calm companion to keep them company, I'll take the time to get to know them and care for them as if they were my own. I'll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and in safe hands. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family members! I have full-time availability and a flexible schedule, allowing me to accommodate weekdays, weekends and last-minute bookings. I'm happy to discuss your pet's routine and work around your preferred drop-off and pick-up times whenever possible. I provide a safe, calm and caring environment where every pet is treated like part of the family. My home is a bungalow with no stairs, making it suitable for pets of all ages, including senior dogs or those with mobility issues. I also have a fully fenced and secure garden where pets can safely enjoy time outdoors under supervision. I understand that every pet has their own routine, so I'll follow their usual feeding, exercise and sleeping schedule as closely as possible to help them feel settled. I'm experienced using crates if this is part of your pet's routine and will always respect your preferences and instructions. There are several lovely parks and walking routes nearby, and I have access to a car, allowing me to take dogs on regular walks or travel if needed. Having volunteered with animal rescue organisations and fostered both dogs and cats, I'm experienced caring for pets with different personalities and needs, and I always take the time to ensure they feel safe, happy and loved while you're away. I'll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands.

About: Ive had dogs in my life since I was 5, mainly staffies. They required good training, and have always had impeccable behaviour. My close friends have labs, husky's and sheep dogs. I get along with all of them extremely well. My finance just loves dogs, this was her idea before we get our own. My fiance works from home 3-4 days a week. I work from home 2-3 days a week. We both love to walk, and live in a great area that allows walks. We have a fenced garden for any outdoor space they need. Can walk them twice a day if needed too. If they need to be crated, that can also be accommodated, but not required.

About: Since a young age my sister and I begged our parents for a dog. Thankfully they gave in when I was 14 and I have grown up with a cockapoo. As someone who is very active, I love combining my love for dogs and spending time in the outdoors. During my final year of university, I regularly looked after my friend's dog regularly, taking it on walks and making sure it was well cared for. I'm now home from university, following my Master's at the University of Bath, and would love to opportunity to look after your dog! I'm currently a local hockey coach, with plenty of time before 5pm. Monday-Thursday work the best for me, but I can be flexible. I understand that every dog is different, so I will take the time to learn their individual personality, routines and needs. I'm more than happy to cater to their usual routine, so that they feel most comfortable with my company.

I can't recommend Sabrina highly enough. She won over a very tough customer, my chihuahua with separation anxiety, with remarkable ease. Normally, it takes my dog several visits with a new sitter before she's calm and relaxed when I get home. But after her very first time with Sabrina, she was completely at ease and showed no signs of anxiety. That was incredible and brought me great peace of mind. I wouldn't hesitate to book Sabrina again.

Jamie was a fantastic house sitter and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better to look after Kaos and Kovu. From the moment we met him at the introduction, he built an instant rapport with them, which immediately put us at ease. His communication throughout our time away was excellent. He kept us updated and reassured, which meant a lot to us while we were gone. Kaos clearly had a wonderful time with him, enjoying plenty of long walks and attention, and Jamie was incredibly gentle and affectionate with our Bengal cat, Kovu. It was clear that he genuinely cared about the boys and took the responsibility seriously. We came home to two very happy pets and a well-looked-after home, which is exactly what every pet owner hopes for. We would absolutely recommend Jamie to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and attentive house sitter.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Banstead on Rover is £37.95 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 17,282 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Banstead. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Banstead walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Banstead choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
