“Dealing with Richard was a pleasure from beginning to end. He looked after our elderly dog Dennis so well and kept us updated with photos. The house was spotless when we got back and we would definitely book Richard again if he can fit us in.”

“Izzy was a great help and seemed to get on with Diesel really well. She was available at short notice too and ensured we were kept up to date with Diesel throughout the day - would definitely recommend!”

“Thomas took wonderful care of our dog, Luka. He kept us regularly updated with messages and photos, which really put our minds at ease and allowed us to fully enjoy our holiday. It was clear that Luka was in very good hands. If we have the opportunity in the future, we would absolutely love to ask Thomas to look after Luka again. Highly recommended.”

“Neve did wonderfully well with Evie during one of the hottest times of this summer. Evie struggles when she is hot so Neve walked her around 6am in the morning before it was too hot for Evie. Neve kept Evie in the room with air conditioning and made sure the house was as comfortable for Evie that it could be with shutters and blinds closed against the heat. The house was immaculate when we got back and Neve was very good putting up with our return at a later time than we had hoped. We would book Neve again.”

“Jessica did an excellent job of looking after Willow whilst we were out. Willow obviously enjoyed her day and it was a comfort knowing that she was in safe hands. I would recommend Jessica without hesitation and indeed we have booked her again.”

“Leah was absolutely brilliant with Dave! She provided great updates with plenty of pictures and even did some training with our little furry boy. Definitely recommend and we will use her again in the future! 😊”

“Merrily is a hit with our cats! She has taken a lot of time out to learn how to deal with our cat’s special needs, and it’s clear she understands and loves animals. We also had a lot of communication and photo/video updates during the weekend house sitting for us which was reassuring. Thank you so much!”

“Justina was a very caring and attentive pet sitter! The dogs and cat all clearly loved her. Communication was excellent with messages and photos to update us. I would highly recommend. 5 paws from each of the pets!”

“Desra & Lilly took such good care of our (blind) Cocker Spaniel. So much so, that he didn't even notice me leave for work (he was getting a major fuss up) and I came home to a very happy & relaxed dog. He even got a trip to the cafe mid-walk, where he likes to sit and hear the world go by. We wouldn't hesitate to use their services again, and actually feel embarrassed about the long hours they put in for such little recompense (next time we will leave you money for lunch & a dog sausage). We are very happy customers.”

About: Since very young age I demonstrated loving pets and enjoying being around them. In my childhood I had a lovely poodle, and we have happy moments until she was 13 years. I am currently working part time, so most of the time I am doing housework or exercise/ external activities, so why not do this while taking care of pets (what I love) and having some company? :) I am always checking what the pet is doing and his safety, I know this is very important. Also I will be doing the best for his comfort and being respectful with their limits.
“Sophie was absolutely amazing while pet/flat sitting! Not only did she follow all care instructions, but when above and beyond with treating Riley as if she were he own as well as taking care of my flat. The two were all over Edinburgh playing at the beach and in the meadows. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the photos of all the fun the two of them were having. Thank you Sophie again for taking such good care of my girl!”

About: Hello! I’m Anna a lifelong cat lover with over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for my own boy, Prince, who I adored for over a decade. I understand cats deeply, their personalities, their moods, their routines, and their boundaries. I’m gentle, patient, and very tuned in to how animals feel. I’ve looked after anxious cats, affectionate cats, playful cats, and older cats who needed extra comfort. Because I recently lost my own cat, I have a huge soft spot for making other people’s pets feel loved, safe, and calm while their owners are away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every cat as if they were my own.
About: I have always had animals since I was a adolescent, I love them all as if they were my own. I'm not a seamstress, but I know the basics. From 2 pm I am fully available to give all the love and affection to your “puppy children”. departure times can be combined! I'll love being able to be a part of the routine. I have a fenced yard, I live near Lavander Farm, if I need to pick it up and drive it too... I take care of it like it's my own!

Ashleigh was amazing with our 3 pets, 1 Maltese and 2 cats - they were smitten with her from the start and had the best time. Ashleigh kept in contact and sent us pictures and even went out of her way to change the bedding for us for when we returned from our holiday, making us have to worry about 1 less thing. Would definitely recommend Ashleigh 😁

I can't recommend Sabrina highly enough. She won over a very tough customer, my chihuahua with separation anxiety, with remarkable ease. Normally, it takes my dog several visits with a new sitter before she's calm and relaxed when I get home. But after her very first time with Sabrina, she was completely at ease and showed no signs of anxiety. That was incredible and brought me great peace of mind. I wouldn't hesitate to book Sabrina again.
Jamie was a fantastic house sitter and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better to look after Kaos and Kovu. From the moment we met him at the introduction, he built an instant rapport with them, which immediately put us at ease. His communication throughout our time away was excellent. He kept us updated and reassured, which meant a lot to us while we were gone. Kaos clearly had a wonderful time with him, enjoying plenty of long walks and attention, and Jamie was incredibly gentle and affectionate with our Bengal cat, Kovu. It was clear that he genuinely cared about the boys and took the responsibility seriously. We came home to two very happy pets and a well-looked-after home, which is exactly what every pet owner hopes for. We would absolutely recommend Jamie to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and attentive house sitter.

Alexa was amazing. Not only did she take such great care of Monty, she made him feel exactly like we do by taking him with her while out with friends, enjoying walks in parks, and playing with him at home. She took extra special care of him and sent us plenty of pictures throughout our weekend away. Would definitely recommend her :)

However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Banstead choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
