“Thank you so much for dog sitting Izzy, you were brilliant! Izzy was so lovely and cared for Ziggy really well. She sent us regular updates, looked after Ziggy and our house wonderfully. We would highly recommend Izzy and hope to use her again soon.”

“Emma looked after our toy poodles so well. She used all the information I had left to make sure the boys routines were kept. She took them out for walks and gave them loads of cuddles. She also sent me regular photos and videos which was very reassuring. I would definitely book her again. Thank you”

“I felt really confident with Eloise staying and looking after Lara and Sherlock. She clearly loves animals and I know both they, and the house, were well looked after. Will most definitely be asking her to help again.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs for 10 years since everyone in my family has a pet. So I’ve learnt to adapt to different kind of breads when it comes to dogs. And for cats I would consider myself more of a cat person although I have two dogs. I can feed your pets, take them on walks and do home visits and etc. I’m not working right now and don’t plan too. So I am available for the whole week including weekends and holidays. I’d be able to do drop ins or pet sitting in the morning and after noon and I’m available bring your pets too my house. I have a back garden that has very tall fences and grass that is regularly cut so it can stay very short. I also have two small dogs. One is friendly when it comes to meeting new dogs and the other one is very shy but neither are agressive dogs.
“We have two 40kg plus dogs and a grumpy old man cat with complex meds and health issues and Ian looked after all three of them for the weekend with care. The dogs were walked every day, and had a brilliant time bouncing around having the ball thrown for them, plus sofa snuggles in the evenings. One of them can be anxious, but am not even sure he noticed we were gone!! Our cat had his meds without problem and even overcame his indifference to also appear for cuddles. Our house was perfectly clean and tidy on our return, no issues at all, Ian had even lit a fire for us to come home to a warm house ☺️ would 100% rebook and recommend him.”

“Lauren was amazing! ... it was a fairly short notice requirement for our two dogs + housesit, and we managed to communicate with Lauren about everything in advance. We know the dogs had a good time, we could tell by their faces when we returned. We were most impressed with Lauren and would definitely recommend her, and will be using her excellent services again ... thank you Lauren.”

“Megan was brilliant with Luna, very punctual and flexible. Luna had a blast with Megan and from the 1st moment meeting we knew she was in safe hands. We would love Megan to look after Luna again. X”

“Sam had a lovely time with Cerys. I am quite sure she gave him her full attention and was kind to him. Sam can be anxious with new people but I can't imagine he would be anything but calm and content with Cerys.”

About: I have hands-on experience with dogs: in 2021, I assisted a local dog trainer, which gave me insight into training techniques, behavior, and proper care. I’ve personally cared for dogs of my own—my first dog, who had a liver condition, lived with me until the age of 8. Currently, I have a lively 2-year-old dog, so I understand the daily needs, energy levels, and attention dogs require. I am working remotely, and only part time, so I can bring all my free time to the dogs. Also, it is good experience to switch the attention to the dogs and be active, because sitting is not good for health At my home: Your dog will have a safe, comfortable environment with plenty of playtime, walks, and interaction. I maintain a consistent routine for feeding, exercise, and rest, and make sure each dog feels happy and secure. Also, there are no objects that your dog can eat or that can cause some problems At the owner’s home: I follow your dog’s usual routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions. I ensure your home stays tidy and your dog feels calm and comfortable while you’re away. Walks & outdoor time: I provide walks suited to your dog’s energy level, using safe routes, and always monitor their behavior, ensuring they get enough exercise and mental stimulation.

About: I have loved and cared for dogs and cats all my life, including raising my own fox red Labrador from a puppy. I’m passionate about animals, confident with different temperaments, and experienced in administering medication when needed. I am available to dip in and out of work during the week. I have to be in the office 2/3 days a week, and can definitely work from home 2 days. I am available in the mornings and can do some evenings if needed. Weekends I can also do. I won’t be able to board at my own home, but very happy to take care of your pets in your home or take for walks / toilet / feed them etc.
About: I don't have my own pets and don’t own a vehicle for pick up/drop offs. I work remotely on weekdays in finance, so I have time to be with your pets (cats and dogs) as my daily and weekly/weekend routes will fit well. I am available all seven days of the week, can supervise pets 24/7, and will not leave them unattended for over three hours unless I travel. My calendar will be updated as unavailable for booking when I travel. Guest pets have ample space to sleep and play in my four-bedroom house. See pictures of my garden, nearby massive park, large kitchen, private garden and living room space that your pet will enjoy. I am happy with a maximum of two pets per day (cat or/and dog). I have a large, pet-friendly, fully fenced, safe, secure private garden and park nearby. I have had dogs since a kid (over 23 years) and love both cats and dogs. Additional services I offer: grooming and bathing, one or two thirty-minute dog walks and play per day at the nearby massive park. I’ve always had a deep passion for animals, especially dogs and cats, driving my journey as a pet sitter. Growing up surrounded by dogs instilled in me a genuine understanding of their needs and behaviours 🧸. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of pet sitting for friends and family, learning the importance of providing a safe and nurturing environment for pets while their owners are away. My motivation to be a pet sitter stems from the joy of building bonds with animals and ensuring they feel loved and cared for in their owner’s absence. I understand that leaving a pet can be stressful for both the animal and the owner, and I strive to alleviate that concern through my attentive and dedicated care. I prioritise the health and safety of the pets I care for by only accepting vaccinated animals into my home. This protects my furry guests also creates a welcoming and healthy environment. Whether it’s taking your dog for a refreshing walk, playing fetch in the park, or providing them with a cosy space to relax, I’m committed to ensuring that your pets receive the love and attention they deserve. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend 😀 I work remotely on weekdays in finance, so I have time to be with your pets (cats and dogs) as my daily and weekly/weekend routes will fit well. I don't have my own pets and don’t own a vehicle for pick up/drop offs. I am available all seven days of the week, can supervise pets 24/7, and will not leave them unattended for over three hours unless I travel. My calendar will be updated as unavailable for booking when I travel. See my pictures for the living room, private garden, kitchen and nearby massive park where your pet will enjoy the stay with loving care and comfort. They also get to use my rooms with lots of space to play and sleep. I will also give your pets a shower if needed and rub their belly as most pets love it. Let me know and I can assure to keep your pets in comfort.

About: I love all animals. I believe that dogs are amazing companions and company. I welcome dogs into my home as part of the family. Whilst in my care, I can continue with any training needs, and most importantly fun, adventures and snuggles. I have a 5 year old Boston and she loves to play and meet new friends. I’m home most of the time, otherwise on adventures with my Boston. We are surrounded by fields and woods so plenty of places to get out and about. I’m flexible to meet your needs. Can be at your house or mine. I do have a good size garden and also allow my dog on the sofa. If yours is trained otherwise, a comfy bed would be advised so I can stick to your rules.

About: I have grown up with dogs since the age of 10 (I’m 23) and love looking after them and walking them! I’m definitely more suited to smaller/middle sized dogs, and during my time at university, I walked a miniature dachshund weekly. I love dogs so much!🥰 I work at home Monday and Friday, therefore am free from 5/6pm those days to dog sit, or, walk dogs during my lunch break! I am also free on weekends to help out to! I will only be looking after dogs outside my home e.g. walking them around and could also house sit, so I can adjust to the person.
“Dingo took to Caroline instantly and is so comfortable is her company. It’s really evident that Caroline is a huge dog lover and she really cares for them. She sent through photos throughout the day, fed and walked Dingo, and I came home to a very happy dog. We really hope to use Caroline again.”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Tandridge is £35

Emma was like an angel sent from above! Our female Dobie had only been with us 6 weeks. Rehomed breeding female extremely scared & alpha at the same time. We had booked our trip a year ago so we needed to find someone who could handle this situation and live in our home. Our Dobie was terrified when she first met Emma & I was worried but I shouldn’t have been. Emma has such a calm confident energy. She knew the initial reactions wouldn’t last and listened to all my advice. Our lovely girl had the best time. Emma kept me up to date all the time & it melted my heart seeing how she loved Emma. The his was not just amazing so we could keep our trip but also for our girls personnel healing journey. 100000% would recommend Emma!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Tandridge walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tandridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
