Megan was an absolute dream. We met her before we went away and she was really polite, professional and really personable. My cat instantly took a liking to her as well as my children 😂. Getting updates after every visit was brilliant and Megan took pictures to share with me. Megan went over and above to check my cat was safe in the evening. Coming home the litter tray and bowls were all clean (my cat makes a mess!) so that was also really lovely. I can't thank Megan enough for looking after my cat and we will be using her again!

Punsara was absolutely wonderful with my cat. She came every day as agreed and was very reliable. She spent quality time playing, giving lots of cuddles, and making sure everything felt calm and comfortable. It was clear she genuinely cares about animals, and it gave me real peace of mind knowing my cat was well looked after. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and would happily book her again.

About: I have hands-on experience with dogs: in 2021, I assisted a local dog trainer, which gave me insight into training techniques, behavior, and proper care. I’ve personally cared for dogs of my own—my first dog, who had a liver condition, lived with me until the age of 8. Currently, I have a lively 2-year-old dog, so I understand the daily needs, energy levels, and attention dogs require. I am working remotely, and only part time, so I can bring all my free time to the dogs. Also, it is good experience to switch the attention to the dogs and be active, because sitting is not good for health At my home: Your dog will have a safe, comfortable environment with plenty of playtime, walks, and interaction. I maintain a consistent routine for feeding, exercise, and rest, and make sure each dog feels happy and secure. Also, there are no objects that your dog can eat or that can cause some problems At the owner’s home: I follow your dog’s usual routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions. I ensure your home stays tidy and your dog feels calm and comfortable while you’re away. Walks & outdoor time: I provide walks suited to your dog’s energy level, using safe routes, and always monitor their behavior, ensuring they get enough exercise and mental stimulation.

About: Hi, I’m Lauren. I’ve had a family dog for over 10 years and regularly walk and look after dogs for friends and family. Happy to follow any routines and make sure your dog feels comfortable and cared for. About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my hands on experience caring for pets of all ages and my genuine love for animals. I have looked after both young and senior dogs, so I'm comfortable adapting to different needs, whether that's keeping an energetic puppy entertained or providing gentle, patient care for an older dog. As a pet owner myself, with two cats and one dog, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pets as if they were their own. I'm reliable, attentive, and committed to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I always take the time to get to know each pet's routine and personality so they receive the best possible care. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine as I have a very flexible schedule and am available every day of the week. This allows me to accommodate your pet's usual routine, whether they need early morning visits, midday check-ins, evening care, or overnight stays. I understand that every pet has different needs, so I'm happy to work around what suits you and your pet best. I can also provide care in your own home, helping your pets stay comfortable and relaxed in their familiar environment while you're away. My goal is to provide reliable, loving care that gives you complete peace of mind. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment where they can feel relaxed. I have a secure garden for dogs to enjoy supervised outdoor time, and I also have a friendly, well-socialised dog who gets along well with other dogs. I always make sure introductions are done carefully and that every pet feels safe and comfortable. When caring for pets in an owner's home, I understand the importance of keeping their routine as normal as possible. I'm happy to adapt to your pet's usual schedule, including feeding times, walks, playtime, medication, and any specific instructions you have. I believe every pet is unique, so I'll provide personalised care based on what works best for you and your pet, ensuring they feel happy, secure, and well looked after while you're away.

About: Have always had dogs in my life and now retired I get to enjoy them even more. I started out as a carer for shared lives , a croydon initiative and incorporated dog walking and sitting. As such i have enhanced DBS check and I feel i give a relaxed dog walker and home sitter experience. I have my own dog Ziggy who is a six year old golden cavapoo and can be found alot around Riddlesdown , Selsdon Common and various other parks. I prefer 1 to 1 dog walking to give your pet the best attention Currently I own a very active Cockerspaniel called Ziggy who requires morning and afternoon walks. I am recently retired so I have alot more time these days. I am now taking new dogs on an ad hoc basis and specialise in one to one care. I leave the weekend free for family but if weekend care is needed then tjat is something that is possible. I dont take pets in at home but prefer to house sit. I have an enhanced DBS check as recently I am also a secondary carer for other carers who require holiday cover. At a dog owners house I would feed and walk the dog as per the owners wishes and check on them every four hours maximum.

I was nervous leaving my 2 young cats for the first time, for a little more than a week. I meet Emma who was very reinsuring, and could feel that she loves pets! She was also very accommodating when I needed her to come for extra dates check on the babies as I was worried of the heat. I had updates everyday which gave me peace of mind. Will definitely ask her again to look after my cats. Thanks Emma!

Caroline was lovely and it makes me happy that my cat had the comfort of her own home rather than being in a Cattery.

About: Hi, I’m Jamie! I’m a lifelong dog lover with 6 years of hands-on experience raising and training my own Rottsky, Freya, who I’ve had since she was just 9 weeks old. She’s a big, gentle soul and living with her has given me a deep understanding of dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and needs. Over the past 3 years I’ve also provided dog-walking and sitting for friends, neighbours, and local owners. I know how important it is for you to feel your dog is in safe, capable hands — and I always treat every dog like my own. I live right by a fantastic open space that’s popular with local walkers, and I can adapt walks to suit your dog’s energy level, whether it’s a calm stroll or a good run-around. Your dog’s happiness, safety, and well-being always come first — and I’ll keep you updated with photos and notes after every walk :) I mostly work from home trading and running my businesses, and I also teach martial arts from home, so I’m around throughout the day. This gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to caring for dogs. On weekdays I’m available for morning walks between 8am and 12pm, as well as later in the afternoon and evenings from around 4–5pm onward. At weekends I can be fully flexible, with availability across the whole day. Because my routine is home-based, I can reliably fit pet care into my week without last-minute conflicts, and I enjoy the balance it brings to my day. Walks, drop-ins, and overnight sits slot naturally into my lifestyle — and I always make sure each dog gets my full attention. In an owner’s home, I stick to your pet’s normal routine so they feel relaxed — feeding, fresh water, playtime, toilet breaks, and any special instructions. On walks, dogs are always on-lead unless you’ve given written consent for a safe, enclosed space. I bring spare leads, water, and treats (if allowed) to keep things smooth and enjoyable. For overnight sits, I follow your evening and morning routine while Freya and I keep your dog in company and comfort. I’ll also send photo updates so you can relax knowing they’re happy and cared for. I treat every dog as if they were my own — safe, happy, and well looked after.

About: I have been privileged to have pets in my life since very young age. I love to walk and nothing makes a walk more fun than sharing it with a dog! I was lucky enough to share my life for over 18 years with my chocolate lab Hudson. I am a self employed travel agent and work from home, so can manage my time to suit any requirement. I can fit into a regular walking routine or drop in at a moments notice if required. I have my own transport to come and safely collect your pet for adventurous walks or a day with me at home. About: As a lifelong animal lover and a professional with a unique blend of veterinary and adult nursing experience, I am confident in my ability to provide the highest level of care for your beloved pets. I originally trained as a veterinary nurse before transitioning to adult nursing, and my passion for animals has remained a constant. I have a deep understanding of the importance of feeding, hydrating, exercising, and showing affection to pets. My training equips me to administer medication as per owners' instructions, ensuring pets stay healthy and well-cared-for. I genuinely find joy in spending time with animals, whether it’s dogs, cats, or even horses. I believe that time spent with animals benefits not only physical health but also mental well-being—a perspective I hope to share with my son. In fact, we recently organized a fundraiser for Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, which included a visit that highlighted the transformative work the charity provides for animals in need. While I am currently in nursing, I am eager to reintroduce animals into my daily life by combining my skills with my passion. I take pride in providing attentive and compassionate care, ensuring every pet feels safe, loved, and understood. I would love the opportunity to bring my expertise and enthusiasm to your dog/family. I look forward to the possibility of discussing how I can contribute to the happiness and well-being of the pets in my care. My pet care fits seamlessly into my part time nursing schedule offering you flexible hours and the ability to manage bookings around my hours and I also work remotely. It also provides a fulfilling way to supplement my income while leveraging my care giving skin so in a more relaxed low stress environment. I also enjoy spending time with pets as can be therapeutic and great way to balance the emotional demand of nursing. Eventually, I would like to be a pet therapist working in hospitals. I have a respectful, reliable and gentle presence in someone’s home, creating a safer, stress-free environment for both pets and owners. Empathy is what sets me apart.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for 15+ years. Neighbours, friends and family have all relied on me to look after their pets and I’ve recently looked after lots of dogs in the area on BorrowMyDoggy and through Rover. I work from home a few days a week so can be flexible with dog and cat sitting. I’m also available weekends and evenings for walks or for longer stays if you’re going away. I’m skilled in looking after dogs and cats with all temperaments- I can provide personalised care and attention to each furry friend. Living in Wimbledon means I have lots of access to beautiful green spaces and commons and as I’m an active person, your pet will be well looked after with plenty of time outdoors, if appropriate. My partner and I also like to drive out of London for the day to Surrey, Sussex and surrounding areas, so if this works for you and your pet, they can have their own little holiday with us!

About: I'm a natural animal lover and have my own 13 year old cockapoo, as well as a number of pets in the past. I've had a mix of experience from dog walking/ cat sitting/ care for private families, working in animal care on a farm and looking after friends/ families pets. I have done volunteer work at an animal rehabilitation centre while I was travelling a few years ago. I genuinely treat any animal I look after as if it were my own and understand how hard it can be to find someone reliable, good natured and trustworthy. I'm someone who wants to give them the attention and love they need, plus anything else they require. I've worked previously as a housekeeper, so know how to maintain a home while staying or popping in and out. I work remotely as a freelancer from my laptop so have so much flexibility! I currently work as a freelancer in social media and marketing, mainly remotely with the odd content shoot. This gives me a lot of time and freedom to take my laptop anywhere to work and stay! No weeks look the same for me, but I can have availability morning, afternoon or evening and I'm open to weekends too for the right stay. I can fit around different schedules, so please always ask. I take caring for someone's pet and home very seriously, as I understand how daunting it can be trusting someone reliable. I'm happy to answer any questions beforehand, jump on a call or meet and will ask how you like specific things done, safety precautions and any extra information needed. Throughout the stay I regularly update you and check every house/ pets general care before I leave.

About: I have been taking care of dogs for 10 years since everyone in my family has a pet. So I’ve learnt to adapt to different kind of breads when it comes to dogs. And for cats I would consider myself more of a cat person although I have two dogs. I can feed your pets, take them on walks and do home visits and etc. I’m not working right now and don’t plan too. So I am available for the whole week including weekends and holidays. I’d be able to do drop ins or pet sitting in the morning and after noon and I’m available bring your pets too my house. I have a back garden that has very tall fences and grass that is regularly cut so it can stay very short. I also have two small dogs. One is friendly when it comes to meeting new dogs and the other one is very shy but neither are agressive dogs.

About: I have been taking an active role in the care and training of pets since I was small. I had an intense interest in four-legged family members, teaching the neighbourhood pups simple commands, and a few cool tricks of course! Walking dogs, providing frequent toilet breaks, enrichment, socialisation and play for our furry family members whilst their parents are away. I’ve been a professional dog walker for over a year, and walk a variety of breeds and energy levels. I have regular clients I pet sit and walk, who value animal centred care. I am a full time dog walker, looking for more doggies to share my walks with. I am centred around proving dog-specific care to each and every dog I walk. Finding the favourite routes, places to walk and activities. I have three of my own dogs who I walk early mornings and evenings, and several walks a day. I can offer solo walks or group walks with other dogs who love company. In your home I will be able to let your pets out for toilet breaks, a play session, some enrichment time to get their brains engaged, and even a walk suited to your furry friends needs. I cannot stay with your furry friend 24/7 so they will have to be left for 2-4 hrs a day where I can fit my other walks around your Pooch.

There are 7,544 sitters on Rover for Cat Sitting in Tandridge. About 90% of Tandridge sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
