About: I am a Surgeon Vet specialized in soft tissue surgery in dogs and cats. I have worked as a vet in my country for 13 years. I have a lot of experience caring dogs and cats in several Vet Hospitals during day or night. Also, I have had pets since I was a child. I really love having time with them. When I am with my furry friends, it is very important to me to keep an eye on them and guarantee their well-being. I have been living in The UK since July 2024. I came here to prepare my RCVS exam to be able to work as a Surgeon Vet here. So, I would like to meet your lovely furry! See you soon! I am flexible to spend time with yours pets. I am free all week except from Tuesday to Thursday from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm. Each pet during my live has been as a family member to me. I cared them with love and patience. I like they stay in the house and I don’t mind if they prefer sleep in their own bed or mine. It’s quite important they have enough toilet breaks during the day. My last dog was Eloise. She was the most unique dog that I had. Even when she was blind, she always wanted to play with her ball. She passed away around 2 years ago and I still remember her. She gave me a lot of love and happiness during almost 15 years. I always be grateful with her and she always will be in my heart.

About: I’ve taken care of various dogs and cats since I was a teenager (15 years), including growing up with labradors and have even boarded for my auntie’s St Bernard! I’m currently supply teaching and ad hoc wedding styling so fairly flexible with a lot of my work being booked on the day. Always more free during the week. I will treat all pets like my own and care for them in a way that is as normal for them as possible. Love different dog walks and at the owners discretion, happy to bring my own pup for a walk if your doggy would like that!!

“My cats absolutely loved her! One of them is usually very timid and takes a long time to warm up to new people, but he was surprisingly comfortable and even playful around her. It was clear that she has a natural connection with animals and made them feel safe and at ease. We were thoroughly impressed and very satisfied with her service. She went above and beyond to ensure our pets were happy and well cared for.”

“Fatima has been amazing. I have bad piece of mind like never before and been able to to unwind and enjoy Christmas with my family. Great check-ins has been both fun and reassuring and the service has been complete value for money for me”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life, including dogs such as a Bull Terrier called Dodge and a cat called Tilly. I’m very comfortable caring for different types of animals. I genuinely love spending time with pets and making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I also have experience with dog walking through a family friend’s dog walking business, as well as walking and caring for dogs for family friends. My responsibilities included feeding pets, walking them, playing with them, and giving them lots of attention and exercise. I’m reliable, patient and always treat every pet as if they were my own. At the moment I’m waiting to start my new job, so I’m free most days. This means I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time to caring for pets. I’m available for boarding during both weekdays and weekends, and I’m able to give pets lots of attention, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. At the moment I don’t offer a service where pets stay in my home. However, when caring for pets in their owner’s home, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after in their familiar environment. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific routines the pet is used to. I also make sure they receive plenty of attention and care while their owner is away, and I keep the home tidy and respectful during my stay.
“Absolutely brilliant, thankyou so much. While we was away our cat brought a live bird in our house. Joanne got rid of the bird and cleaned up after it. Sent us loads of photo and great updates on our cats. We would 100% book again. Thankyou again.”

About: I have taken care of a variety of dog breeds for the majority of the my teenage years, into adulthood. This has given me the opportunity to work with a variety of temperaments and makes me easily adaptable to being around different dogs, with confidence. I have had many dogs too - a Dalmatian, border collie, Labrador, pug, husky, and English pointer, only adding to my love for any breed of dog, big or small 🐶❤️ I’m able to fit sits in on specified days, depending on my other work commitments. I keep my calendar up to date with my latest availability for sits. I have a fenced, decent sized garden, a separate conservatory used as a ‘dog room’ with a sofa and lots of sunshine for the cooler months where my own dogs love to bask in the sun and relax. I have 3 friendly dogs too.
“Darcey enjoyed Imogen's pop in. Thank you so much for playing ball with her in the garden ❤️ She loves company and attention. She looks forward to your next visit. Have no hesitation in recommending Imogen to look after your pets.”

About: I've always had a dog at home, ever since I was a child. I am a lucky owner of two beautiful, friendly French Bulldogs. I have the experience in taking care of various breeds. Took care of Labradors, Westies, Basset Hounds, Toy Poodles, Pomeranians, Yorkie, Chihuahuas, Golden Retrievers, Cavaliers, Spanish Water and Cocker Spaniels, Staffies and many others. I'm used to different breeds and understand different temperaments, and have the patience to bond with all dogs of different shapes and sizes, adjusting to their personality to fit their needs and ensuring that their time spent with me is amazing. I live in a house with a big fenced garden, close to a big park. Therefore, your pet will never be starved of exercise or fresh air, in fact, it will probably be bored of so much playing! As I mentioned... I could live without people, but not without dogs. Also, I'm certified in Pet First Aid & CPR. I work from home, with very flexible schedule hence always have time for a nice long walk. And I'm available for belly rubs all day long :D I have a big, fenced garden and two friendly French bulldogs who will keep your fur baby entertained. I make sure to feed dogs separately, so it doesn't create any tension between them.

I have flexible work schedule and lots of time off, so can fit in looking after your dogs and random times/when you need to be at work or out/on your holidays! “Absolutely blown away by this lady! In conjunction with the Rover app, I had an unbelievable experience in obtaining the necessary care I needed for my dogs. Not a single negative aspect to report, unless you count the fact that I can't use this service at home in Germany. But at least I have everything sorted for next time we visit England! During our holiday in England we were attending family functions whereby our two dogs were not permitted to attend. We needed someone who could take care of their needs, which could be quite "complicated" (for want of a better term). Our Husky is generally no problem but our young German Shepherd can be extremely"anti-social" and needs a very understanding carer. Leigh not only met all of my expectations, she actually far exceeded everything I could have hoped for. It was like hitting the jackpot out of all of my possible choices of carer on this site. I think there are people who are just naturally in tune with dogs and Leigh is definitely one of them. She would be able to look after any dog and in any capacity. I also found her very empathetic as a human, she took care of my feelings too, offering reassurance when needed etc. Leigh: thank you! Truly meant the world to me what you did for our boys. See you next time xxx”

“Brilliant! I was extremely hesitant about leaving Tiggie as she can get aggressive if scared, and strangers scare her! Bronn was fantastic and I’m absolutely chuffed there wasn’t a single incident! Highly recommend”

About: I have experience with puppies and senior dogs, from training and walking to just cuddling. I am a dog fairy godmother, welcoming all shapes and sizes. I am currently working full time which means I am available for pet care at weekends, Saturday and Sunday. Your baby will be cared for as if they were my own. I do not have a fenced garden and your pet will not be out of the house without a lead on. My own dog was fine with this and I took him for regular toilet breaks. If you dog prefers to cuddle all day, I am more than happy to do that. If your dog loves to walk 3 times a day, I am also happy to oblige. Whatever your dog wants, I am happy to help.

About: I cared for a dog when I was younger, the past couple years I care for 2 cats that we own as a family, yet I miss times when I would take dog for a walk or play in the park. Aime was a fantastic cat sitter for us! She arrived on time and followed all our instructions carefully to ensure our kittens were fed on time and all other safety instructions we wrote out for her. She played with them a lot too! And we received many photos and videos on the day to see how they were getting on. I would absolutely recommend Aime to anybody she is an incredible sitter and I want to thank her so much for putting our minds at ease using a service like this for the first time!

Niki did a great job looking after our two cats whilst we were on holiday. Aswell as feeding and watering, she stayed to give them attention, including much appreciated brushing sessions. She was also kind enough to water our plants whilst we were away. All in all, we can thoroughly recommend Niki.
Hannah is an amazing catsitter! Gracie is initially wary of new people but Hannah really took her time to let Gracie get to know her at her own pace. They were great friends by the end of the visits. Hannah provided detailed updates and I arrived home to a very happy cat

Charlotte was amazing! She popped over to meet the cats before we left which was great so it wasnt a complete stranger that came in! Lots of updates how they were and they looked very happy! Would highly recommend as my cats were very happy when we got home when they can be quite moody, it shows how well they well they were looked after 😊

Shirley was so kind and caring to our one year cat who was unfortunately feeling a bit under the weather when Shirley came to visit her. Shirley was excellent at communicating to us and keeping us up to date with how our wee girl was, sending photos and videos. Would highly recommend.

Gabi was absolutely brilliant with our two cats. She stuck to their feed routines exactly and always made time to play, clean their litter tray and take pics and videos to send to us too. She was great at communication before and during our trip and made us feel very reassured while we were away. We’ll definitely be requesting Gabi again next time we go away. So appreciative. Thanks so much, from us as well as Benny and Basil! X

It's my second time using David's service while I am away. He delivered excelent care according to instructions with daily updates with photos and videos. I will use his services again and recommend it to anybody who deeply care for their pet and struggle to leave them behind while being away. :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
