“Anna has been taking care of Willow, my nearly 1 year old cockapoo since she was about 4 months old either for walks or doggy day care. She knows about dogs and I've learnt a lot from her. She is kind, compassionate and so reliable. I get lots of updates throughout the day which is reassurinf. Even when I have last minute work commitments Anna has always been approachable and willing and able to help. Willow loves spending time with Anna, her daughter and their Yorkie Roxy. I can't recommend Anna enough.”

About: I’ve been passionate about pets for as long as I can remember—growing up with dogs and other animals has given me a lifetime of experience in understanding and caring for them. Since my university days, I’ve been the go-to person for family and friends whenever they’ve gone on holiday, providing attentive and loving care for their dogs. I treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. I’m experienced in handling dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to senior dogs who need extra care and attention. I also prioritize maintaining your dog’s routine, whether that’s daily walks, feeding schedules, or cuddle time, to keep them feeling at ease. If you’re looking for someone reliable, compassionate, and experienced to care for your furry family member, I’d be thrilled to help! I currently work from home 4 days a week with a very flexible schedule, allowing me plenty of time to care for your dog, play, and cuddle throughout the day. I’m also happy to dog sit overnight, and your dog is more than welcome to sleep in the bed! live in a flat with direct access to a secure, private, and fenced garden, offering a safe and enjoyable space for your pet to explore and relax. Inside, your pet is welcome to roam freely and make themselves at home—no furniture or bed is off-limits. If preferred, I can also set up a cozy, designated spot with their special bed or blanket to ensure maximum comfort and familiarity.

“We couldn’t be happier with our experience! From the moment we met Sophie and her partner, it was clear how much they genuinely love and understand dogs, and Alfie took to them straight away! They kept us updated throughout, were always quick to respond to messages, and were incredibly flexible when it came to arrangements. It gave us real peace of mind knowing Alfie was in such caring and capable hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely lovely dog sitters.”

“Charlotte and Cort looked after Pippa recently and I think she remembered what a great time she had as when I dropped her off she couldn’t wait to get through the door. It was good to know she was happy to be back as I could relax while I was out. Charlotte kept me regularly updated on what Pippa was doing and sending me photos”

“Karack and Justine were amazing with Pepper! They were welcoming, flexible with our last-minute changes, and took great care of him. Pepper came home so happy!”

“A huge thank you! This is the second time I’ve booked Tiger in. Regular and speedy contact, lots of love and walks for a very energetic little dog! He’s been very well looked after!”

“Ana has been great from start to finish. Her communication was excellent and I felt comfortable leaving my 4 month old pup with her for the day. I received updates and pictures during the day - and a happy dog on collection. I will definitely be using Ana again, and have no hesitation in recommending her to others. Thank you.”

“Maddie continues to be brilliant, always positive, flexible, and tolerant of my last minute availability requests! She clearly adores Lucca and the feeling is definitely mutual!”

About: Me and Alex have grown up with dogs and love their company! We also have lots of experience with dog sitting and boarding with friends and families pets. We work from home most days and have a park right at the end of our road. We are reliable and can most often help last minute. I work from home Monday, Thursday and Friday and am currently around most weekends. If you live fairly locally we are available to do pick up and drop off too if helpful. We have a fairly large 2 bedroom flat so lots of space for your pet to roam. We live on a quiet road (you wouldn’t drive down it unless you lived there) so can provide calming routes for dogs that need it, as well as a local park for a longer walk to burn energy.
“Monty loved every second he spent with Sophia (he didn’t even want to come back home)! We also greatly appreciated the constant communication and pictures of our pup. We highly recommend Sophia as a day carer!”

“Leo had an amazing time with Chong Yee and Zoro! They took great care of him, I received a lot of updates and pictures throughout the day, and I could clearly see that Leo was enjoying his stay and got along with Zoro very well. I will definitely contact them again for other stays :)”

“Kezia looked after Arti for the day whilst I went into work. Great communication and care taken in looking after him, he enjoyed snoozing in the garden on a hot day and got out for walks. He was very happy when collected. Thanks! Would recommend 🐾”

Really lovely experience with Tori looking after TJ. It was her first time looking after him and she took such great care of him. She kept us updated and it was clear TJ was really happy and settled with her. We’d definitely have her look after TJ again and would happily recommend her! 🐾💕

Super happy with Hannah. Willow had a wonderful time with her, and we were kept up to date with pictures through the day. Willow is an old dog, so we were a bit nervous about leaving her with someone she didn’t know but Hannah really put those worries to bed. Would definitely rebook again in the future!

Fabulous as always! Tiger loves his time with Marcia, and she has been so so so flexible to accommodate our needs!! Thank you again for looking after little Tiger so well! He will be shattered after all the cuddles and attention he has received today!! Would absolutely recommend in a heartbeat!!

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
