I work from home almost full time and have plenty of flexibility to care for your dog. I'm able to schedule time to take your pet for much needed walks, toilet breaks and importantly, time for playing and cuddles. I have a regular Rover booking every Tuesday and Thursday with Stella. Stella is a 6 year old Labrador Retriever. She adores other dogs and is very friendly. She enjoys play time but also settles well and likes to take herself off for naps throughout the day. If you think your pup would be a good companion for Stella and you would like to request a booking on the same day then please message me and I will do my best to accommodate you!

Information Sophie R. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if there is anything I need to be aware of when caring for your dog. Whether that’s medicine or supplements that need to be administered, particular food sensitivities, whether your dog is following a certain diet, whether they are reactive to children/ other dogs/ bicycles, whether they have any injuries, or whether due to their age they need multiple short walks as opposed to one long one. Please also let me know if your dog is reactive, both inside or outside of the house. I live in a block of flats so unfortunately highly reactive dogs in the house aren’t a suitable fit for me due to the potential disruption to my neighbours. There’s no such thing as too much information! I want to make sure I have all the necessary detail to look after your dog the best I can.
A typical day
I love to keep dogs stimulated, both mentally and physically. Having grown up with a border collie, I understand what it takes to keep a high energy breed entertained and satisfied during the day. I love playing games with their toys (or ‘babies’ as they’re known in our household), snuffle mats, or tug of war. There are also a number of parks nearby to take your dog for their daily exercise. I am very active myself and going out for walks is part of my daily routine. I much prefer being accompanied by a four legged friend and would love to have the company. I understand how important sniffs are and always allow extra sniffing time! I also run and have a dog running lead so I can bring your high energy dog with me if suitable! Finally, I go to a dog friendly gym so can bring your furry friends with me to class for lots of extra attention!

Experienced & loving dog care
Pet care experience
Ever since I was little, I was used to my mum bringing home pets without my dad’s permission. He always protested that he didn’t want another hamster or bunny rabbit, but he always fell in love with them in the end. I have a lot of experience with different types of animal care, but particularly looking after dogs. I fostered a dog for 6 weeks when their owner was admitted into hospital, I helped raise a litter of 12 (!!) Rhodesian Ridgeback puppies, I regularly look after my friend's fur babies, and I have grown up with a Border Collie from the age of 16. Barney is our family dog, featured in my profile picture. He’s 14 years young and the love of my life! Whilst I haven't been living at home for the past few years, I always love going to visit him, taking him on holiday to Cornwall, and looking after him when my parents go away. I believe that when you have a pet to look after, you end up taking better care of yourself. They have such an impact on your life and I promise to look after your dog as if they were my own! Thank you for considering me and trusting me with your furry friend. I can’t wait to meet them! If this is your first booking with Rover, then please let me know and I'd be happy to share a £15 discount with you!
Reviews

Sophie was fantastic. She was incredibly attentive and professional and kept us posted all the time about our dog, Dodo, when we were away for the weekend. She has lots of experience with different types of dogs and adapted brilliantly to Dodo’s personality - letting him come to her in his own time. They built a lovely companionship and Dodo was sad to leave her! She sent us pictures snd updates daily which we really appreciated. Super reliable, kind and trustworthy, we would definitely recommend Sophie.

Sophie was an amazing sitter!! She was extremely communicative and even when our pup was sick she was an amazing care taker. Can’t wait to book again!

Nala loves Sophie, she was so excited to see her. I trust Sophie completely to look after her, she sends regular updates/pictures.I would highly recommend Thanks so much! ☺️

As always Tiggy had a lovely time with Sophie - she always looks after her with so much care and patience!
