Loving home away from home: fun, play and cuddles
Hello! ***Your dog must be cat friendly*** While we would love to host all of the house sitting requests we get, Lyra and Indie, our dog and cat have to come first. If your dog is not used to being around cats or is not friendly with cats, then unfortunately we will not be able to look after your dog. ——— We’re a dog-loving couple who can’t wait to meet your furry friend. I grew up with dogs and cats, and my wife shares the same passion. We also have our own playful 2-year-old Field Spaniel, Lyra, who’s always eager to make new friends and have some fun. Rest assured, your dog will be treated like family, surrounded by love, care, and lots of playtime during their stay. Lyra loves daily walks in Hurst Park, just a stone’s throw away from our home, as well as other nearby parks and wooded areas. She’d be thrilled to show your dog her favourite spots! Whether your pup enjoys long hikes or shorter strolls, we’ll tailor the walks to their needs. We’ve competed at Crufts with Lyra and are happy to provide some basic training. We’ve hosted friends’ and family’s dogs before for both day visits and overnight stays, and they always have a great time. Lyra absolutely loves having friends come to stay too! We also have an 8-year-old cat who keeps to himself so any doggy guests will need to be comfortable with him being in the house. We’ll send you daily updates, complete with photos and videos, so you can see all the fun your dog is having. If you’d like to chat more or arrange a meet and greet, feel free to reach out!

Andrew and Hannah were warm and welcoming, took great care of our dog, and sent plenty of pictures and videos - both of him out and about, as well as peacefully napping back at their home. Their dog Lyra is lovely. Many thanks both!
Andy & Hannah were the perfect hosts for our two boys; I’ve never seen so many pictures of the two of them smiling so much! They really made Chestnut and Birch feel like part of their family. The location was perfect and the dogs were entertained throughout the stay (boarding). We are so grateful for finding Andy & Hannah and will definitely be booking the boys in again. Rosie had an amazing week staying with Andy, Hannah and Lyra! Their home is so lovely and welcoming and so close to the river so Rosie had lots of lovely walks whilst staying with them. Andy and Hannah sent us daily updates so we were always kept updated whilst Rosie was with them. We felt so confident that Rosie was being well looked after! Rosie can’t wait to stay with them again!!

Schedule
We work our schedules so that one of us is always working from home during the week, so your dog will have plenty of attention, company, and cuddles throughout the day. Lyra loves weekend adventures and we’d love to bring yours along for the fun too.

A typical day
Your dog can enjoy walks in Hurst Park which is just a stones throw away from our house, we often venture a bit further to lots of other dog walking places in the area. In the summer they can enjoy sunbathing and helping us with gardening. We love having Lyra helping us with our work with a good snooze next to us, so they’ll get to join in on nap time intermixed with playtime. They’ll also enjoy playing games and brain training. In the evenings they can look forward to lots of cuddles after a busy day.
