Hi there! I’m Emily and I live with my boyfriend Luke, and our bearded dragon, Leelo. I have lived my whole life with a dog (or four) in the home. Last year Luke and I lost our beloved senior Chocolate Lab, Toffee. Since then, I’ve missed having dogs in the home terribly but cannot face getting another one just yet. I look after my mum’s Staffy/ Boxer from time to time, as well as my grandparent’s Schnauzer twins and Luke’s mum’s Jack Russell. As cliche as it is, I love all dogs, all sizes, all ages and all temperaments. I also have worked previously for a boarding agency in the offices, helping to match the right carers to the right pets so have some experience in that area!

SNOW is very nervous and takes a long time to trust new people. Emily was kind and patient. She gave SNOW the time and space to build the trust. She also has a very calm presence which helps SNOW calm down. Emily has cared for SNOW twice and both times she's been wonderful. We received updates of SNOW throughout the day and SNOW trusts her with walks. We'll definitely be booking Emily when SNOW needs care.
Emily has a genuine love for all animals, but especially dogs. She’s calm, attentive, and truly understands their needs and different personalities. She clearly enjoys taking the time to bond with them and takes great care in making sure every dog is safe, comfortable, and happy, whether that’s sticking to routines or going the extra mile to keep them engaged in play and exercise. It’s abundantly obvious that animals also adore her just as much as she adores them. They’re always excited to see her, and completely at ease in her care, which says everything about the kind of person she is. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Emily to anyone looking for someone reliable, responsible, caring, and genuinely passionate about looking after their beloved pet.

Schedule
I work full time however I work shifts across 4 days a week. I would aim to only look after pets on my days/ afternoons off as I would want to give them my full attention to make sure that they’re coping well.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a small back garden which is good for shorter visits. I live in an area where there are also lots of green spaces and local dog walkers. We do have a bearded dragon but she lives in her tank when animals are round and is very quiet.
