About: I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and temperaments, from energetic puppies to older dogs needing a gentler routine. I’ve always had dogs growing up, so being around them comes very naturally to me and I’m very comfortable understanding their behaviour and needs. I’m used to handling feeding schedules, daily walks, playtime, and making sure each dog feels safe and happy while their owner is away. I also provide regular updates and photos, because I know how important it is to stay connected to your pet while you’re away. I always adapt to each dog and what they’re used to, so they feel as comfortable as possible. When I’m in a pet owner’s home, I stick closely to your dog’s usual routine, feeding times, walks, play, and rest, so nothing feels disrupted. I also make sure to give them plenty of attention and reassurance, especially if they’re missing their owner. I’m very respectful of your home and keep everything clean and as you left it. If I’m caring for a dog in my home, I create a calm, safe, and welcoming environment where they can relax and feel at ease. They’ll get lots of attention, regular walks, and playtime, and I make sure they’re never left alone for long. In both cases, I take the time to understand each dog’s personality and needs, and I always send regular updates and photos so you can feel completely reassured. I provide a calm, safe, and welcoming environment in my home. Because I’m currently fully available, I’m able to give dogs constant attention and supervision throughout the day. I make sure they feel comfortable and settled by sticking to their usual routine as much as possible—whether that’s feeding times, walks, play, or rest. Dogs in my care receive plenty of walks, affection, and one-on-one attention. I’m very attentive to their behaviour and needs, whether they’re energetic and playful or more relaxed and in need of a quieter environment. My goal is to make your dog feel completely at home and stress-free while you’re away, and I always send regular updates and photos so you can feel reassured.

About: I come from a big dog loving family and have had dogs since I was a kid. We currently have two very sweet german shepards named Kai and Mak! I pet sit frequently when I am back home in San Diego, CA, and I love animals of all kinds! When I was getting my bachelor's degree, I fostered some very sweet cats and we were able to find both of them their forever homes! I am currently getting my masters degree in London, but I am only working on a paper until September so I have a lot of free time this summer to pet sit or do some dog walking! Currently, I am just working on a dissertation, and since I can work on it from anywhere, I have plenty of time for dog walks or just spending time with them! I enjoy going on walks daily so it is easy for me to get good walks in for the dogs! I don't have another job right now, and I enjoy going to the gym for about an hour a day, and might spend some time with friends, but my schedule is very open and I understand the importance of being with pets often while pet sitting! While pet sitting at the owner's home, I typically just spend a lot of time with the pet, whether it is playing with them or just hanging out by them. If the pet is slightly hesitant on my presence due to shyness, I would have no problem with giving them their space until they are feeling more comfortable. I would follow the owner's instructions, for example, stick to their feeding and walking schedules, and if there are any special circumstances like necessary medications, I would work with that. My goal is to make sure the pet feels safe, happy, and well looked after while the owner is away, with lots of attention and affection throughout my visit.

About: I grew up with a medium sized staff and pitbull mix, who was the sweetest family dog! Within my childhood years, I also had a pet tarantula, scorpion, royal python and gerbils. With over 15 years of experience with all sorts of pets, I am very confident in my field. I was as young as 8 years old, and taking my dog for 2-hour walks by choice, even with a garden. I’m just as outdoorsy now, as I was back then - so pet or no pet, I’m often outdoors in greenery! As I walk a lot, I bring dogs with me so we are usually out a minimum of 4 times a day. It completely depends on the dogs preference. I’m also very accommodating. I allow dogs and cats to roam freely as long as not on beds and they are good listeners 🐾 For dogs, Monday - Friday I am out with (your) dog/s by 9am, and again at 4pm by default. In between those hours we are out for a walk or a little toilet break 2-3 times. As well as walks or toilet break at 7pm and 10pm. Whether cats, dogs, reptiles etc, I ask your typical established routine so I follow that. Being away from your owner and home is hard enough, so I strive to keep schedules as familiar as possible! I have an enclosed terrace, with some lovely dog and cat neighbours. Even though my terrace has an opening that doesn’t close, there is a gated basketball court that I bring dogs to when empty so they can run off-lead without going to our local parks. I can crate your dog if needed. I am also very happy to give them an entire room (my room or kitchen) that only I would enter and exit, if they are wanting a bigger space to be on their own whilst getting used to us.

About: Hi all! I have grown up with animals and since moving away from home am missing the comfort that comes with having a dog and cat with me all the time. I have experience living with small dogs as well as giant breeds, and think all of them deserve love and attention. I love the personality that cats being to the table as well. Feel free to message me with any questions! :) I’m currently working full-time, but I spend my afternoons/evenings at home as well as every thursday and my weekends are usually spent going for a walk to the local shops which I would love to have a companion for. We are a very pet friendly household, both me and my housemate have grown up with dogs so there would be lots of affection to go around

About: Hi! My name is Bridget, and I’m a kind, caring, and responsible animal lover offering dog walking and pet sitting services. I’m very flexible with my schedule and happy to stay in your home to ensure your pets are safe, happy, and comfortable while you're away.
I’ve grown up in central London so I know all the best parks for engaging and enriching walks. I also have a car and am more than happy to take your dog out of the city for a big countryside walk and a proper adventure.
Sadly I can't have a dog where I live, but I’ve had my own cat for over 10 years and have regularly looked after friends' and family’s dogs. I truly love animals and treat every pet like they’re my own.
If you’re looking for someone reliable, warm-hearted, and experienced, I’d love to meet you and your pets! I work from home on my own schedule. I occasionally work in a shop where I would be able to bring a dog in and look after throughout the day. I am available every evening and almost every week day in the day time. I have a relaxed cat who keeps to himself and am walking distance from many central london parks. I provide lots of attention and cuddles but allow pets to come to me in their own time.

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life, with my family growing up with dogs of various breeds and taking care of neighbours and friends pets as well. Have experience training puppies and in senior animal care, and would be excited to meet your furry friend and provide them with the care they need whilst you are away. Although working full-time, I am able to work from home most Fridays and would be able to take your dog to a local park to relieve themselves and get rid of some energy, before a longer walk (suited to your pets needs) during lunch time. The rest of the day would consist of relaxing, playing and puzzle games for your pet, before another evening walk to make sure they are tired out by the end of the day. Naturally since not all pets are able/want to go outside, this will depend on your dogs needs and wishes, with a relaxing and quite environment suitable for every pet, and loads of activities for those who want it. I have lots of experience with pets of all ages, and am happy to adjust to your training methods and your pets needs. I have personally crate trained puppies until they are old enough to not cause mischief but am happy to continue with this method, or not, depending on your preference. Pets would be allowed in every room of the house, with windows and doors being secured well during their stay. I would not have any guests over during your pets stay, unless advised that they would not mind this, as your pets comfort is of top priority. For house visits, I would make sure your pet is well fed and watered, has been eating and has not made a mess anywhere, as well as check up on their condition visually and physically as much as is possible. I will also send up frequent and detailed updates on what your pet has gotten up to, with loads of cute pictures!

About: Most of my hands on experience comes from caring for Coda, my partner's eleven year old family dog. I walk her, feed her and keep her routine steady, and I have learned how different senior dogs are: shorter and slower walks, watching appetite, noticing when she wants rest rather than stimulation. I have also looked after a friend's cat over several days. I am newer to Rover, so I take briefings seriously, follow instructions to the letter and send regular photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I work from home, so Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays are my steady days and I can fit walks, drop ins and playtime around your pet's usual routine rather than squeezing them into mine. Weekends vary week to week, so message me and I will tell you honestly whether I can commit. I would rather turn down a booking than take one I cannot give proper attention to. Where possible I prefer to care for pets in their own home. Familiar smells, familiar routine and their own bed keep most animals calmer than a new place does, and it means less disruption for them while you are away. In your home I follow your setup rather than imposing mine. I check doors and windows before I leave, I am careful with keys and never leave them anywhere they could be seen, and if something seems off, food not touched, unusual toileting, low energy, I tell you straight away rather than waiting. I leave things as I found them and send photos each visit. I can also have your pet at mine for a few hours or overnight. It is a quiet studio on the first floor with no other pets, a minute from Lincoln's Inn Fields, so dogs get proper walks and toilet breaks in the park rather than a quick trip to a garden. Being a studio, your pet is with me the whole time rather than shut away, which suits animals who like company. There is a staircase, so if your dog struggles with stairs I would suggest I come to you instead.

About: I have always been around pets. Since I was a kid cats and dogs have always been a part of my life. I have helped friends, family and neighbours from walking their dogs to having their cats stay with me for over a month. I have a lot of love and respect for animals, I know how much they are a part of the family and I love giving them a lot of attention and fun times as well as relaxing times with lots of cuddles and belly rubs. I am currently working on a hybrid schedule which is quite flexible so I can manage which days I go in to the office. When working, I can take breaks to take dogs on walks. I live in a ground floor flat with a small garden and there are lots of green areas around me such as gardens and parks for longer walks. For cats, I have plenty of space for separate water, litter and food areas as well as radiator beds which they love during the winter and I take extra care not to let them out into the garden, although it is fenced with high walls.

About: Growing up with a family dog, I’ve experienced every stage of the journey from having him as a puppy to now caring for him as a senior and blind dog. Over the years, I’ve also looked after friends’ dogs, from simply popping in to let them out for a wee, giving them some company and attention, to taking them on regular walks and keeping them entertained. I understand that every dog is different, and I’m happy to adapt to their individual personality, routine and needs. Whether your dog needs a quick visit, a good walk, or just some company while you’re away, I’d love to help. Ultimately, I’ll treat your dog as I would my own with plenty of patience, love, attention and, of course, lots of cuddles. Being self employed creative freelancer means my schedule can be a little different from the usual 9–5, but that’s one of the things I love about it, flexible and never a week the same. I think pet sitting would be a lovely addition to my work as a singer. I genuinely love dogs, and it gives me the opportunity to spend time with them while also working around my existing career. Whether you need someone to pop in during the day, take your dog for a walk, or give them some company while you’re at work or away, I’d be happy to help. I’d love to build up some lovely relationships with both dogs and their owners, so you know you have someone you can trust and your dog has someone familiar to come and see them. I am very easy going and adapt well, I’m respectful of other people’s homes and would treat your space exactly as I would my own. I’d keep everything clean and tidy, follow any house rules you have and, most importantly, make sure your dog’s normal routine is kept as consistent as possible. I want you to feel like you’ve found someone you can genuinely rely on not just someone who is looking after your dog, but someone you feel comfortable trusting in your home too.

About: What sets me apart is a lifetime of dedicated dog companionship combined with hands on, specialised senior care. Having been raised around dogs my entire life, I intuitively understand canine behaviour, body language, and routines. Most recently, I lovingly cared for my own pug through their golden years. This experience taught me the patience, gentle handling, and close monitoring required for senior pets, especially flat faced breeds. Whether your dog is an energetic adult needing a watchful eye or a sweet senior who requires a slower pace and medication administration, I provide the tailored, nurturing care they deserve. I currently offer dedicated pet care on evenings and weekends, making me the perfect fit for after work check ins, dinner feedings, or weekend getaways. Because my schedule is highly flexible during these times, your dog will receive my full, undivided attention. Please note that I am actively transitioning to full time, open availability in the near future! If you have a specific weekday request or a recurring schedule you would like to discuss for the coming weeks, please feel free to message me so we can plan ahead. Safety and trust are my absolute highest priorities. Since I provide care exclusively through drop-in visits and walks in your local area, I treat your home and your pet with the utmost respect and vigilance. During walks, your dog will always remain securely leashed. I focus entirely on them, staying alert to traffic, stray animals, and changing weather conditions. For drop-in visits, I strictly follow your entry and locking instructions to keep your home secure. I always double-check that doors are locked, security systems are armed, and fresh water is topped up before I leave. With a lifetime of dog experience, I am skilled at reading body language to keep your pet calm, safe, and happy.

About: Hey! My name is Claudia, I am a 23 year old young professional in London, originally from Barcelona, Spain.

I've been passionate about animals my entire life. Growing up, I had dogs and cats as part of our household, which taught me the importance of patience, care, and understanding when looking after them.

I also have experience dog sitting in London, where I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Whether it’s an energetic pup that loves long walks or a senior dog that needs gentle care, I always tailor my approach to suit their unique needs.

As a remote worker, I’m flexible and can provide plenty of attention and care throughout the day. I pride myself on being very communicative with owners, sending regular updates and pictures so you can feel reassured while you’re away.

Your pet’s comfort and happiness are my top priorities, and I’d love the chance to make them feel safe, loved, and truly cared for! I work from home every day, so I can easily accommodate my schedule to any dog's needs! I have an hour long lunch break for longer walks, and no problem with taking shorter breaks during the day! I love to go out for walks. My home is walking distance to multiple green spaces. If we're staying indoors, I love to play any ball games or spend some time with their favourite entertainment form. And my favourite time, some cuddles!

Max is a dog whisperer. Our dog is standoffish with strangers & can take a few days to give trust but Max clearly knew how to manage that so the dog was relaxed & friendly with him from the off. Making arrangements with Max was easy; he replies promptly & gives informative answers to questions. He was punctual, provided good updates & he even re-confirmed in the morning of the booking. We won’t hesitate to ask Max to sit our dog again.

About: I grew up on a farm with every sort of animal around me so I’m well aware of what different animals and breeds need at different times. I have no fear around pets however I’m well aware that no two animals are the same and require their own attention. Ultimately just looking to make a bit on the side whilst feeling like I’m not working. I’m in the office Monday to Thursday then working from home on Friday. I can walk or feed any pets before or afterward work. I can stay over any night that’s needed however just need some notice. At the weekends I’m completely free for any service that’s needed. I’ve grown up with pets all of my life and understand their behaviour and what’s needed. Attention, space, feeding, safety regarding heat and other animals etc.

About: Why have one sitter when you can have two!? We're a reliable, fun and outdoorsy couple who work from home 5 days a week, so your pet will always have company, care, and be entertained to their heart's content! We live with Xanthe’s mum in a bright, spacious home with an enclosed garden, close to four parks including Ally Pally 🦮 We've both grown up with animals but now, living in London and about to turn 30, Rover lets us spend time with animals while we’re not quite ready for our own <3 Doing Rover as a duo means double the time with added reassurance. As well as twice daily walks, we can bring your pet for shop runs and, if they like to hit up sunny parks and cafes at the weekend that can be arranged 😉 Each pet we’ve cared for has had their own personality and needs whether it’s extra walks, grooming, or calming nervous pups, we’ll make them our top priority during their stay and are great at understanding animals needs ❤️

About: Hi! I’m a soon to be graduate from vet school and in the meantime am looking to help my community before I start working! I helped raise my family dog from the age of 8 and as I have grown older have helped care for dogs and cats of all ages! Since I have experience working in a veterinary hospital setting I am capable of handling and caring for kittens, puppies, senior pets and any age in between. I also have 10 years experience volunteering at animal shelters and fostering. No dog or cat is too big or too small for my heart ! Please note the summer can be quite hectic for me at the moment so I do my best to update my availability calendar ! I have recently finished my degree as a vet student and am waiting to graduate. I am currently available to help outside of weekends mainly before I start working as a vet. I try to update my calendar availability as soon as I can. I apologize if you reach out and I can’t be of assistance in advance ! The only service I do not offer is bringing the pet to my home. All other ROVER services are on the table and I try to care for your pet just as you would! I have no problem with walks, potty breaks, feeding schedules, or any other needs your pet may have. Let me make you feel comfortable with leaving your furry family member with me for a while! I also am okay with meet and greets beforehand if necessary.

Blaise was very flexible and able to stay over at mine very last minute to care for my dog and two cats. As usual she was absolutely amazing. Blaise is kind and genuinely goes above and beyond to ensure your pets are feeling loved and cared for in your absence! I received lots of photos and videos of playtimes and cuddles in bed. My shy cat who is scared of his own shadow even warmed to her and slept in next to her which just made me feel so happy. It’s such a reassurance that she’s a vet nurse and is there if anything were to happen. I came home to a clean house, clean litter trays and 3 very happy pets. Couldn’t have asked for more! Exceptional service and highly recommend!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in London choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
