Since the age of 3, we have always owned dogs as family pets ranging from Alsatians down to little Border Terriers. I have a degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare, while having in excess of 10 years practical experience gained through both work experience and employment at a family owned kennels and rescue centre local to my parents in Somerset. I became close friends with one of the sons and we studied at university together. He has gone on to take over the business and is still my closest friend to this day! I am both confident and competent handling any size of any breed.

I am confident and capable handling animals in any given environment, from confined areas to large open spaces (the latter being more relevant to dog handling). I am very intuitive when it comes to both behaviour and body language, while having the knowledge and ability to navigate any scenario in a calm and compassionate manner.
Ratings and reviews
Finley did a great job dog sitting for my Airdale and Irish terriers. He came to the rescue after I put out a last minute request on Rover for help. His communication and responsiveness was fantastic and he was really confident settling in with the dogs. I was able to go off to my son’s graduation totally happy that the dogs were in good care. I’d definitely recommend Fin and be keen to invite him back to look after Forest and Tiger again.
Finley was lovely and looked after our dog well as far as we can tell, and the flat was clean and tidy when we got back from a weekend away (thank you!). However, his communication was significantly lower than any other dog walker we've used in the past, via rover or elsewhere, and we found this a bit worrying especially when it was such a hot weekend. For example, most of the time we had no idea when/whether our dog was walked on hot days. Had we had clearer communication then we'd have given a higher rating.
He was great with Marshmallow, looked after him for five days during the recent heatwave while I was at work and everything went smoothly!
Finley looked after our boxer Scooby and cat Scout for 8 nights when we were abroad. We came back to two very contented animals. Scooby obviously loved Finley and was very happy and relaxed with him. Finley made sure that Scooby was comfortable in the very hot weather, only taking him on walks when it was cooler, and giving him his allergy medication as needed. Scooby can be very needy and anxious when we are away, and quite wary of strangers, but he was trying to sit in Finley's lap within 5 minutes of him arriving, so we were very reassured that he would have a great time with Finley while we were away!
Finley was fantastic with Arlo, our 6 year old beagle. He was very attentive and Arlo took to him well. He took Arlo out for an evening walk and provided regular updates. Will definitely try and book Finley again.
We have booked Finley twice, he was late the first time but was very good with our dog and so we decided to try and book him for the second time. Before confirming the second booking I made it clear he needed to be on time as my husband needed to leave for a meeting and therefore punctuality was very important. The second time he didn’t arrive at all, he didn’t message, or pick up the telephone when called. Highly unprofessional.

Schedule
As I am taking a break between job roles, I currently have full availability and complete flexibility from early Monday morning through to late on Sunday evening.
