I am very intuitive when it comes to both behaviour and body language, while having the knowledge and ability to navigate any scenario in a calm and compassionate manner.

If they have specific timings for feeding, walks, medication etc please let me know so I can stick to their normal schedule. Please also advise in advance any ailments, injuries or medication to allow me to make any required adjustments or provide additional assistance. Please also notify in advance if they are prone to exhibit any abnormal behaviours or any particular environments and stimuli that are likely to elicit a negative response. I can preempt these scenarios and have a strategy devised that I can call upon quickly and efficiently to diffuse the situation and minimise any disturbance.

I always strive to ensure our four-legged friends have an enjoyable and positive experience when they are in my care. They’ll become my best friend for the day, so if they have any tricks they love showing off, games they love to play or toys they simply can’t be without, please let me know!

Pet care experience
Since the age of 3, we have always owned dogs as family pets ranging from Alsatians down to little Border Terriers. I have a degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare, while having in excess of 10 years practical experience gained through both work experience and employment at a family owned kennels and rescue centre local to my parents in Somerset. I became close friends with one of the sons and we studied at university together. He has gone on to take over the business and is still my closest friend to this day! I am both confident and competent handling any size of any breed.

Fin took great care of Teddy, and Teddy seemed in great spirits when we got back at the end of the day. Fin was able to accept a relatively last minute request which was very much appreciated! Teddy can’t wait to have him back!
Finley was ace - very communicative, super flexible given last minute travel, and Mossie loved him. Came home to a very happy Maine Coon!

Finley house sat for us for a week, looking after our dog and two cats. Our dog Billy is big, boisterous and can get a bit stressed when we are away, but he got along great with Finley. Billy was really settled and relaxed on our return from holiday (and we had no complaints from the cats either!). Plus Finley is a really nice, easy-to-get-on-with person. Recommended!
