Hi! I’m a postgraduate master's student living right on Fitzroy Square. I grew up in a home full of animals-having raised cats, owned a dog, and cared for birds. I have firsthand experience providing dedicated medical and rehabilitative care for fragile animals, having personally looked after my own bird when she experienced temporary paralysis and later developed a tumor. This has given me an immense amount of patience, a very gentle touch, and the ability to confidently manage the specialised routines of elderly, anxious, or physically disabled pets. My background is in highly disciplined fields-architecture and filmmaking-which means I am exceptionally organised, quiet, punctual, and deeply respectful of your home space. I understand that your pets are family, and I am meticulous about following exact feeding schedules, special handling instructions, and house rules. While my maximum university hours are structured from 10:00 to 17:00, my current term schedule is significantly lighter with fewer physical classes. This gives me excellent daytime flexibility to check in on your pet, alongside my completely open mornings, evenings, and nights for dedicated companionship. I am tidy, a non-smoker, and love sending regular photo updates so you can have total peace of mind while you're away. I look forward to meeting you and your companions!

I provide pet care exclusively at the owner's home to keep your pet in their familiar environment. Having personally managed rehabilitation and specialized routines for my own bird through temporary paralysis and a tumor, I am highly competent with fragile or special-needs pets. I am exceptionally observant, meticulously managing security, following precise health guidelines, and ensuring a safe, stress-free space.

I had such a wonderful experience with Akanksha looking after Simba. From the very beginning, she was incredibly attentive, caring, and thoughtful, and it was clear that Simba was in very good hands. Akanksha took the time to genuinely understand Simba’s needs, personality, and routine rather than simply treating him like another dog she was sitting. She was patient, affectionate, and attentive to all the little details that made Simba feel comfortable and settled. Her caring nature really stood out, I could tell that she genuinely enjoyed spending time with him. One of the things I appreciated most was how well Akanksha kept me connected throughout the stay. This which gave me great peace of mind and made it so much easier to be away knowing that Simba was happy, comfortable, and being well looked after. Her communication was excellent, and she was always reassuring and responsive. Most importantly, Simba clearly felt safe and happy with her. It was lovely to see how comfortable he became in her care, and I could tell that he received plenty of attention, affection, and care throughout his stay. Akanksha went above and beyond to make sure he was looked after properly, and I really appreciated the effort she put in. She spent time walking him and relaxing in the park as he enjoys being out. I would absolutely recommend Akanksha to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and responsible dog sitter. She is warm, reliable, attentive, and genuinely compassionate with dogs. Knowing that Simba was with someone who cared for him so well made the whole experience completely stress free.
Akanksha was really good with our dog Rocky. She developed a nice bond with him, whilst being very punctual and professional.
As a father I am sure that my daughter Akanksha Verma is a real pet lover. We have had cat and birds at home. She took every responsibility of taking care of them. She put her sincere efforts to train our pets. It was amazing to see their affection & tuning towards Akanksha. I am confident she will be able to handle any situation in taking care of all species of pets.

Akanksha is one of the most compassionate and attentive animal lovers I know. She's helped care for my Oreo (5yo Pug) multiple times and every single time I have felt completely at ease. Akanksha makes sure the pets are comfortable, and treats them like her own. She's also well versed with fun facts about almost any animal you can think of!
