“April has been a great sitter for our fluff bundle. Feliz seemed happy and calm when we returned. April kept in touch and updated me on how Feliz was doing, giving me great peace of mind. She went out of her way to make sure Feliz got to know her and enjoyed her company as well as taking care of her and dealing with her care. Thanks so much”
“Ollie had a great time with Mairi! Mairi was absolutely brilliant and keeping us in the loop with photos and videos. She was able to accommodate specific feeding times as well has giving Ollie medication. In short Ollie has a new best friend. Would recommend and will definitely book again! ”

“Amanda was so kind, gentle and reliable. Even my nervous cat who usually hides actually came out for her! Both my cats have medications and she was fine with giving it to them. We got regular updates with photos, and felt much happier on holiday knowing the cats were happy! Thanks so much Amanda, you are the best. ”

“Anoushka was great! Quick to respond and set something up with us at short notice, then incredibly helpful with our 6 month old puppy Stevie. We will definitely be repeat customers!”

“Absolute miracle worker of a cat sitter! Toni looked after my normally quite shy and anxious 1.5 year old cat and low and behold, she’s not shy at all now! I was so pleased to see not only my cat being well looked after in terms of food etc but how playful she was and totally at ease with Toni. Toni sent lots of pics and vids and honestly just made my whole holiday ten times better. I will 100% be booking again!”

About: I am a lifelong animal lover and have grown up around pets — both cats and dogs. I'm vegan and genuinely care deeply about animal wellbeing. Recently, I looked after my sister-in-law’s small, nervous dog for three weeks, including supporting crate training and settling into a calm routine, which we absolutely loved. That experience is what inspired me to join Rover. I'm patient, attentive, and committed to giving every pet a safe, relaxed, and caring experience. I currently work from home, which means I’m around during the day to look after furry pals, including short walks or check-ins at lunch. I’m also available for walks, drop-ins, and boarding during the evenings in the week. At weekends I’m very flexible and, when free, would love to spend time with pets then too. This flexibility means I can fit pet care naturally into my daily routine and give animals plenty of attention rather than rushing visits. I live in a one-bedroom flat with laminate floors and a small fenced garden. I work from home, so I can keep an eye on your furry friend throughout the day and give them all the attention they need — whether that’s playtime, walks, cuddles, or even some late-night Netflix binging together! I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routines to make sure they feel comfortable and at home.
“We’ve had some trips in 2026 already and each time Samantha has been our go to. I can’t recommend her highly enough. Great communication and always ensures to keep us up todate. Thanks”

“Caroline was a star and dropped in to look after our cat while we were away. She was very communicative and helpful, it was clear that Winnie was left in very good hands! Thanks so much for your help, I would absolutely recommend!”

“After a successful couple of meet & greets, Beth’s first one hour visit seemed to go well. Sookie is a nervous rescue and can take time to warm up to new people. Although she wasn’t brave enough to approach Beth that day, she was comfortable and relaxed enough to have a snooze while she was there. Which shows that she isn’t overly worried about Beth, who didn’t try to push things too fast and went at Sookie’s pace, allowing her to feel that relaxed she could close her eyes. Very happy with Beth and her knowledge of handling nervous dogs.”

“Eleanor is fantastic with our cocker spaniel, really reliable, friendly, professional and sends updates / gives peace of mind. Alfie loves her and she’s been great at adjusting the visits for walks to playing/ enrichment based on the weather / what Alfie needs. Would definitely recommend :)”

“Oona was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond with our cat, and made sure to keep us updated with a combination of photos and videos throughout her visits. Oona followed the instructions exactly as we had asked and did a fantastic job at ensuring our cat was both well taken care of and more importantly, kept her happy and safe. I would recommend Oona to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

“We have been repeat customers for Eli and we are very happy with her. Our dogs love her. Eli is very reliable and trustworthy. She understands our dogs needs and is flexible around their needs. We highly recommend Eli and will definitely book her again. Thanks Eli!”

Leona was a wonderful sitter to our cat Boots and went above and beyond to make sure he was okay after he managed to find his way out the of the house through a window we’d left cracked open, even to the point of popping in extra times and going over late at night when our neighbour messaged to say that he had escaped. She made sure that he got back safely and communicated everything to us, really putting our minds at ease so we could carry on enjoying our holiday. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Leona again, thank you so much for your time and for going out of your way for our mischievous boy!
Absolutely amazing! Sent detailed updates and lots of photos each drop in visit. Samantha even spent time playing with her too. Felt at peace on holiday knowing our cat was being well looked after. Would 100% trust her to look after our cat again. Deffo recommend!

We ended up arranging a dog sitting service last minute, but Samuel was so quick to respond that everything was easy to sort out. When he came round to meet our dog he was great with him, and when we were out the arranged visits all went as planned with updates and photos all as expected. We came home to a happy and relaxed dog and we are very pleased to have found Samuel to help out at such short notice!

We were really happy with the care our dog, Lina received from Lana. Lana was able to look after our dog in our own home which meant that they could stay in familiar surroundings. Lana took Lina for a walk around the neighbourhood and seemed very happy when we returned. We would happily recommend Lana to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter and we would be happy to have Lana look after Lina again.
Oona was happy to meet for a meet and greet before the first sit, and when it came to the actual sit, she was punctual, reliable and communicative and sent photos of the dogs while they played and hung out together. I’d definitely recommend Oona. I knew my dogs were in good hands with her. I’ll hopefully use her services again soon!

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Brighton pet parents with similar pet households.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brighton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
